It really comes down to “I can play how I want and so everyone has to play how I want”. The Zerker only people aren’t making you play Zerker, but they can play how they want and that’s the way they want to play. I don’t play full Berserker, but I don’t see the problem. I just open my own dungeon groups, we fill up in a few minutes and then we run the dungeon.
PvP
What happened to this?
Reminds me on this:
Topic: Just like the picture says: “Ignorance”. Start your own groups or search for more class-friendly-groups. I have over 18 k points, 19 characters, Rank 80 PvP and only join teams without any requirement. Even terms like “exp”, “fast”, “skilled” in the LFG-Tool are contrary to me. I like playing with casuals and people like me. This is my style, and I am happy with it.
The pic is a little off, because Mesmers are were 1 of the 2 classes that could CoF P1 farm back before ANet changed up the rewards.
Armor is an exploit. It let’s you lower the damage from bosses.
Engineer and Ranger can be good, it’s just not recognized as such. Warrior, Mesmer, Guardian and Elementalist all bring good party play. Warriors for Banners (though you only really need 1), Mesmers for Aggro, Boons and Reflects. Guardians for Boons. Condition removal and Reflects, and Elementalists for conjured weapons. (I haven’t extensively played Elementalists or Mesmers so correct me if I’m forgetting something)
Ok thx a lot guys, but what is the #1 faster way to get to 500? (Which materialen should i buy to craft?
You can’t just buy one material and craft it to 500. First you’ll need about 3 types of t1 mats, then 3 types of t2 mats, etkittenil you get to t6. Then you’ll need to get 3 tpyes of t6 mats plus globs of ectoplasm. Then you need to make a bunch of exotic weapons. Then you can start your work an ascended.
By the time you are at 500 crafting, 90% of your questions will be answered. The other 10% are answered above.
I criticise the game because I care.
/me high fives
There is a liadri appreciation thread….
personally I like easy content and would prefer not to see liadri type stuff in dungeons. (for one less people would run them dungeons.)
Group content shouldn’t be hard IMO. I love Liadri and beat her, but I’d rather not rely on the skill of 4 others to beat her.
Keep weapon cooldowns. I’m not totally opposed to getting rid of elite skills. Only time I ever use my “Renewed Focus” is when I’m about to die or I want to give my party a couple quick boons.
Because they want us Guardians to have to run a Staff in WvW to keep up with the zerg.
If you actually stick with the zerg you will have perma-speed buff pretty much, I know my Mesmer is always speed buffed as long as I stick in the main zerg. If you straggle behind that’s on you.
And you know who is giving you your perma swiftness? Guardians. Me and my fellow Guardians need to run a staff to help keep the Zerg together, otherwise all the classes with 25% speed buffs just run right ahead and the zerg splits in two.
When everyone runs fast, no one runs fast.
That would be great. Maybe then I wouldn’t have to build my Guardian specifically to keep up with the WvW zerg.
I am not necessarily saying naked or bikini or anything… but shorts, almost shirtless (for guys, like leather straps with a ring or something), etc. A lot characters like having a sexy look… and it seems a bit hard to find anything REALLY sexy looking.
You want to wear sexy while fighting zombies…?
In the second you can unbind your dodge button because you won’t need it.
That’s patently false.
Source: every person who has ever played anything other than zerk.
No dodges in Arah Path 2. I thought we were past this argument?
Because they want us Guardians to have to run a Staff in WvW to keep up with the zerg.
er, is making a game more challenging a bad thing? Is encouraging people to play other content a bad thing?
If all you do is train farm in the hopes of getting that shiny, that’s addiction.
But you can only nerf so much. After a while the entire game will be nerfed into oblivion and people will be cheering for the guy who got a blue to drop.
You got 2 precursors in a matter of minutes…

YOU F[I’ll just censor myself from here on out to give the mods and easier time. No reason to take out my absolute hatred of you on the mods :/]son of a [still censoring!]… [insert choice derogatory terms here, and point them all at @galen ubal.2807]…
Okay. I think I got that out of my system.
Just put in some overtime at work, throw ~$600 into gems, buy the legendary. Problem solved!
(Numbers taken from GW2Spidy, 16 cents for a gold, 3200 gold for the legendary.)
No matter what they do to Berserker stats it will still be the “best” because it does the most damage. Since Guild Wars 2 is heavily skill based, the solution is “Get better, wear Berserker, beat dungeon faster, get more rewards, rinse, repeat”.
Will the story episodes you buy be instanced? If so, how do players handle stuff like the destruction of Lion’s Arch? If it isn’t instanced, what’s to stop people from farming events like the destruction of Lion’s Arch of the original Queen’s Gauntlet indefinitely?
From the Announcement:
“Also, because Season 1 of Living World was not built with the Journal in mind, it will not be available in the story Journal on initial launch when Season 2 begins. We do hope to add Season 1 to the Journal in the future. As I mentioned earlier, only festivals will continue to use the gold star UI. They will not be in the story Journal, and they will remain as temporary content that comes in each year for a period of time and then packs up and leaves when the festival has completed.”
To answer your question: Queen’s Gauntlet is a festival thus temporary and Destruction of LA is Season 1. Once they put Season 1 in the journal, then I guess you’ll have a definitive answer.
Except that pretty much means we won’t be seeing large scale content in Season 2, because if they do an event like the destruction of LA, or the marionette, etc. it couldn’t be put in the journal.
Looking over the LS season 2 blurb I spotted this “Past episodes will be available for purchase for 200 gems”
Does this mean if we want to reply any LS content we need to pay for it in gems? Is it an unlock a chapter forever fee for every account or is it character bound? If we pay for a chapter can we team with people who haven’t?
Personally, not sure how I feel about this move. To me it seems to step over the ‘morality line’ and move GW2 to a payment model I don’t really like..
Hmm
If you log in during the release window of an episode (e.g. two weeks) you unlock the episode for your account. You can replay it as many times as you want for free. If you miss the release window and you want to play an episode that you didn’t unlock, you can purchase it.
It’s a lot like watching television in that you can watch (and record) an episode for free when it airs. If you miss it, you can buy the episode off iTunes later. Does that make sense?
Will the story episodes you buy be instanced? If so, how do players handle stuff like the destruction of Lion’s Arch? If it isn’t instanced, what’s to stop people from farming events like the destruction of Lion’s Arch of the original Queen’s Gauntlet indefinitely?
[sarcasm] It’s hard enough to see who’s not zerker in a dungeon, now you want to add massive raids? [/sarcasm]
- Some type of gear progression
We have that. It’s called Ascended, and if that’s not good enough, how about a Legendary. One of the original promises of GW2 is that it wouldn’t have a grindy endgame. If you want it to go against one of (if not the) it’s core promises, you’re best off with another game.
…Ok, so bleeding should be able to stack from multiple sources to the point it can kill you in 2 seconds?
Yes. If people can stack that many bleeds, the same amount of people could kill you in 2 seconds if they were full DPS.
Except you can apply those conditions whilst having more survive and being in a less precarious position than those going full glass melee.
People are going to have a far harder time landing melee dps on you than people dropping condi bombs on you from distance.
I’m not entirely sure quite how people think a situation in which we could regularly see 50 odd stacks of bleed, burn, poison and torment would be a good idea.
They wouldn’t have more survivability if ArenaNet required you to have 3 stats to keep up with Berserker. If the person/zerg was Berserker, by the time you are hit 50 times you will be dead. I don’t see a problem in it no.
“New—Additional Crafting License!”
Now the question has been answered.
Awww, you beat me to it.
…Ok, so bleeding should be able to stack from multiple sources to the point it can kill you in 2 seconds?
Yes. If people can stack that many bleeds, the same amount of people could kill you in 2 seconds if they were full DPS.
I think it should be defend-able, but double the amount of mobs each time. Then we can still hold it, but it should be almost impossible after it’s been defended a few times.
With Megaservers it seems to be a kittened if you do kittened if you don’t. Without Megaservers maps were much emptier and in my experience you’d be lucky to come across someone in a middle range map when an event wasn’t going on. With Megaservers it’s harder to organize events, and you the sorting isn’t very good.
Warriors and Guardians are always welcome in a dungeon pug from my experience. So are Mesmers and Elementalists. So far I can only say I’ve really enjoyed Guardian as I haven’t put all that much time into my Warrior and my Mesmer and Elementalist are both really low level.
Depends. If you are looking to pug a few dungeons, roll ele as necromancers are often kicked.
I’ve played the game for two years now, so my bday box better include 8000 gems, 1000 gold, and every legendary as well as a stack of 250 of every crafting mat, and scrolls that turn my alts to level 80 with full ascended equipment. If it doesn’t, by god, I’ll whine on the forums for an ungodly amount of hours!
Maybe he just has a thing from Sweden.
I dunno about you, but I’ve found that I have too many skill points while leveling.
Just did that … in rares.
I did it in greens /me has a smug look of superiority on face
I want female armor that not only fully covers, but also does not show boobs in any way.
In particular heavy armor that does not have any breast-cups. Currently there’s not much choice in that regard.
Breastcups are totally unrealistic for heavy armor. You don’t need them as armor will just flatten those boobs. And it’s dangerous as they deflect blows and arrows right at your heart. All historical examples of women in platemail (for example, Jeane d’Arc) had them wear identical platemail as men do.
That is what I want for my characters. I’m female in real life but I play mostly male characters because I totally hate most of the female armor.
Phalanx Armor for men, so totally awesome.
And for women? Ugly helmet, ugly torso piece, ugly everything. So disappointingEven Game of Thrones does it right, with heavily armored women like Brienne running around with platemail identical to male ones. THAT is the look I want for women!
They should make male armor weareable for females. That would solve you problem.
For me? No, I like fantasy armor. Skimpyness for everyone. Male, females, plants, everyone can have the choice to be sexy!!
I like historically accurate armor, so I’d like to see the girls in the same kind of armor men would wear. Letting female characters wear male armor would be a great compromise.
Just wait until he shows up and says “I misinterpreted my wyld hunt, it actually was for me to cleanse the maguuma wastes”.

Post a review when your done!
@conski
Working hard and being rewarded is good as long that player doesn’t think he/she now has the right to bully others with his/her new found item.
But that’s not what this thread is about.
The op expects anet to never rerelease items so the players that have said item can be part of some silly minority.
All players (new and old) should have the same opportunities as everyone else. Then you’re back to the problem of content being temporary. Personally, I think to get the Living Story items you should have to complete the LS, not grind tokens in an arena or trade in mats for them.
How about making the LS permanent, so new players or one that missed it can complete it?
That’s exactly what I’m saying.

I used green carrion/rabid and a yellow Carrion rifle in and beat liadri.
DPS guardians have always had good dps its just they were shuned, as people expect guardians to support the group and kicked from parties.
But please keep in mind DPS guardian are glassy as hell.
I can confirm that. Guardians can do a heck of a lot of DPS with Wall of Reflection depending on the enemy your fighting. The last time I ran FotM (a couple of months ago) I used Wall of Reflection on the volcanic final boss and the slimes killed themselves.
There will always be Zerker elitists. No matter how hard the game is, there will always be someone saying “Yeah, this game is easy, so I roll zerker because I know how to dodge!”. The sooner we all realize that there are going to be elitists and move on, the better.
Just give us 100x the amount of skins we currently have, and I’ll probably find something I like in there. Problem solved.
I don’t “respect” people who have a certain items, but I do think the Living Story items should remain only be acquired for that content, and should show off that you did it. If they gave out the Liadri Mini to everyone who had 10 gold, that wouldn’t exactly be fair. If the content isn’t available, the rewards shouldn’t be either IMO.
I just put m items up, then play the game normally, and in a day or two I’ve made 50% profit while enjoying myself. And if I do take a couple gold loss (I’m still learning my way around TP playing) I’ve likely made it back by playing the game.
You have a weapon that can change stats, always have top stats, and an awesome skin you can reapply. If that’s not enough for you, don’t get a legendary.
Let’s get out of combat swimsuits for all proffessions and genders. My Guardian is sick of his heavy metal armor and wants to relax out in the sun!
This would be a lot more useful if you define “skimpy” and seperate it by armor class.
Light: Fine as is.
Medium: We need more skimpy.
Heavy: We need generally more lighter looking choices which includes skimpy.
I think heavy armor should look a lot like the male armor. I mean, Guardians tend to bunker and support, and it doesn’t make sense that they can do that in metal underwear.
I spent like 60 tickets on her until I was finally able to kill her once – it was such a nice feeling when I came out of the arena alive.
Please don’t nerf her!
If I can do it, anyone should be able to do it.
I’ll be getting the nodes and then a helm skin maybe. I missed a couple reward back in season one due to not wanting them, but my inner perfectionist needs them.

Please don’t nerf her!
