That being said, a Charr in Hoelbrak mentions it being cold there, unlike in Ascalon, so it’s probably more along the lines of the Asura gates helping diffuse the heat difference

Yeah, was gonna say, he’s not really out in the open and prominent as other GW1 heroes, so making a direct mention of a nameless whisper would be rather weird. And as Konig said, he went by many names, so who knows if he was referenced

True, Fractals is one of the cases of voice communication. It could be some reason like sound transmission is more of a complex thing than material transportation in the gw universe. If they’re advanced in some things, they could be bad at others

The idea behind Primordus being the leader is because of the great destroyer being the lt fought, and the fact it was the first to rise. So in a sense it leads the others in their rising
Gonna watch this thing now, but as for Primo’s whereabouts, based on in-game npcs, the general notion is he’s in the Maguuma Wastes. It explains the arid climate there now, and from my trip around Rata Sum, it’s been said there are destroyers underneath the city, and that ‘Primordus plagues the wetlands in south west Tyria’

The left one I believe is heavy norn cultural. The helm, shoulders, and gloves are tier 3. Chest and pants are tier 2, and the boots seem to be tier 1. The tier 3 stuff is gonna cost maybe 40 or more gold, the other stuff shouldn’t be more than 4.
The right one is tier 1 chest (and pants?), and a tier 5 crafting helm (I think). The rest I’d assume isn’t high end, so you’ll find them as drops.

I believe he uses the T3 human skins. The Cm ones are gold, and the T3 humans are silver. So just check the color and you’re good to go

The one thing that kinda throws a wrench in the problem is that Wardens were corrupted. Now, we don’t know if Sylvari can be corrupted by other means than dragons, but that’s a bit of a difference between the two.
Actually, I’m kinda comparing apples and oranges now, so I’ll just leave this random statement here…

Assuming that the Canthans themselves didn’t kill the other races, then it’s possible that different relations were formed. My geography is a bit bad, but I’m not sure Quaggans would be near Cantha (it’s not too much of a stretch, I suppose)

I’d say they’re entirely different. Somewhere it was said that dragons like Glint and Kuunavang were vastly inferior compared to the Elder Dragons. But as Erukk said, there are some ‘regular’ dragons in Cantha. There were some undead bone dragons in Tyria too.

It usually relates to what they’re doing in that area. They make some paradoxical phrase, ‘see the unseen’, and that’s basically code for ’I’m a whisper’. If you’re a whisper too, you acknowledge that, and thus reply with another paradox

Except for an NPC in the Black Citadel specifically mentions his studying of why they disappeared.
If they wanted them to just be un-included, they could be like the dinosaurs of the tarnished coast-gone without a trace(I don’t remember hearing anything on why they’re gone)

Guild Wars 1 barely had anything to do with the ‘guild wars’. So, GW2 is even farther from the original name. Anywho, quick and basic overview, I’m sure Konig or someone will jump on this topic soon.
Guild Wars referred to the multiple battles between Kryta, Orr, and Ascalon and the guilds that made them up. There were about 3 major wars, and I think originally the game was supposed to focus on this. Somewhere along the way, the plot changed, and this series of wars simply became background history. In the first game, the only real importance (that I can trivially think of) is one of the main characters (Devona) had a father who was the guild leader of an Ascalonian guild that partook in one of the wars in Khylo. (Probably wrong, but something along those lines)

I haven’t read the story in a while, but don’t they meet in the LA arena, and Logan is instantly smitten by her or something? I suppose I should reread it before I make a full argument, but I think she likes him, she allowed him/wanted to speak with him after seeing him fight. She’s got Anise and the Shining Blade for extra protection, so she doesn’t technically need to use Logan. His being there is just an added protection bonus

I believe I read somewhere that Legendaries will eventually be account bound.
As for ascended, I’d assume right now they’re just like other dungeon token equipment, soulbound on acquire. That system seems to work fine for dungeons, so don’t know what the problem is really. (I have 8 characters, 5 at 80, none have ascended yet)

Edit: rereading it, I think the problem is you don’t want to spend more time getting the same stuff? For me personally, if say an ascended amulet was account bound, I wouldn’t even bother with transferring it to whatever character I felt like playing that time. Seems to be even more of a waste. Maybe once they add actual ascended armor, an account bound system would make sense, but even then having gear that any character can use is rather strange (my asura war sharing armor with my charr guard)

While the intent is good, Anet probably won’t introduce a second way to ‘use’ tokens. I can’t really think of any way to benefit another without giving them straight up, but you can salvage the rares (of level 70-80 dungeons) and sell the mats.

Well, the biggest reasoning for it being Rata Sum is the Peacemaker jail. If it were some other place, the justification would be rather strange (for an asura, less so, but still). The rabbit, I think, is in the actual Rata Sum jail too.
Cat Golems could just be part of the insanity from the Asura. Goemm had some helper golems, who’s to say he didn’t make them into cats

Well, that’s an interesting idea as to who the asura is. IMO, this is the best culprit for the raving asura. However, it’s widely believed among the community that the zone is a post-apocalyptic Rata Sum of sort. So it’s not his lab, but perhaps he used his elementals and golems to take over the city, or something.

I had some trouble understanding at first too, but upon a second playthrough, it’s a bit clearer. As pointed out, Gixx’s line about learning responsibility is a big clue. She’s supposed to be portrayed as a happy go lucky, I can do whatever I want type of person. I think in a spectrum of duty between the three mentors, we have Forgal at militant, Tybalt at likes to have fun, but gets the job done, and Sieran at party all the time.
With that in mind, her interactions with the PC give her an attachment to the world, and she realizes how much danger she always puts others in. So, as her last act, she decides to save the people she cares for, effectively learning that not everything is fun and games.

Then why even have alts?
Sure, for different races, but if you can play all professions on one character, why even bother

Why does he need to get rid of Zhaitan specifically? Zhaitan wasn’t even close to being ‘the leader of the dragons’. Also, are you suggesting that originally, he was a dragon, that somehow got into the Dream, became a sylvari firstborn, and it’s all just some giant mesmer thing?

After the 1-10 missions, your ‘warband’ whittles down to just you and the initial mate. The other two join up every once in a while, but for the most part are just gone

Mhm, she’s a Lieutenant I believe, and the dragon’s breath hurts her eyes or something. The wrapped body is kinda weird, but as Lutinz said, it’s just a bundle mechanic

My first character was a Sylvari, joined the Vigil. He plays the old war veteran archetype, and so that’s why you don’t like him. But, you fail to realize he is Norn. Norn don’t give a kitten what you did before you met them. Actions speak louder than words.
As for Trahearne, as a Sylvari you should know exactly why he’s so important. He’s one of the firstborn, and has the most knowledge about Orr besides maybe a Priory historian. He’s got first-hand experience with being on Orr, and it’s basically his life purpose to cleanse it.

As much as it would be fun to see Vael as an immortal, I’m pretty sure he’s just human.
I haven’t read the messages in detail in a while, but I see him more as a town crier sort, not really interviewing the DE members. He just knows where they are, but I don’t think he is actively pulling strings between them.
I also doubt he/she’s part of an order, because that seems too exclusionist to have a main character be order specific.

Kormir didn’t ascend to godhood until like 1200 (more like 1180) years after the gods left tyria, and I think about 30 or something years before orr sunk. So basically, she wasn’t a deity that they worshipped. As for Abaddon, he was ousted from the pantheon, so that’s why he’s not there (haven’t done this path, just based on what you’re saying)

Imo, it’s more of a case of the boy who cried wolf. Sure he corrects himself later, but the fact that he has to correct himself all the time lessens his credibility. Yes, it’s kinda hypocritical since I tend to get a lot of my facts on the forums wrong too XD

It’s really the daily(ish) ones more than anything. The ‘Lore’ videos he does are mostly correct, since they are given a lot of time and attention, whereas his LP he basically says whatever’s on the top of his head, and fixes in editing

January didn’t award any laurels, so either the person was lying or they meant February’s monthly. I feel like I read somewhere that a name change item might come in the future for the gem store. Guild name change is understandable, but as for character name that’s one of those things like race change that just doesn’t make sense to me
