I’ve already gotten two characters at 100%, and all my 80’s have at least 50%
Map completion is hardly the most difficult thing for legendaries
My question is why does everyone care so much about horses?
^Didn’t Rurik have his sword on the Ring Of Fire island chain?
Are you on an EU server?
If so, I can see the grief somewhat, and could be easily done, but if you don’t mind it, you could always go to a NA server
We’ve only SEEN one, but we know of 5, with a possible sixth…
Primordus drove the Asura above ground.
^It’s the universe where the Asura PC goes crazy and dominates Tyria with an army of steam creatures…
If this happens, then say you flag off a zerg to a keep, then you can just take over the gate
Or just add a toggle feature to all armor pieces, since if they do that for chests, then gloves or boots will come next, yada yada, may as well take em all in one fell swoop
Actually, some of the dungeon vendors don’t have a double check box appear
I could buy some exotic pieces of the wrong type (I’ve done it once) and it won’t ask me if it’s the right purchase. But the potions that cost like 1 or 10 tokens have the dialogue box for some reason…
So basically, this just needs to be fixed
Mhm
I don’t see why they didn’t do this already
Have you even gone there since the update?
Well, I have, after not being there, and I get Heavy Moldy Bags like every third kill. Not to mention, just straight up T5/6 mats from mobs. My friend got a named exotic off a random vet. The temple merchants now sell boxes that can give you karma, mats, and stuff listed (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Lost_Orrian_Jewelry_Box) here.
Point is…
This post is unrelated
Laurel merchants are in every city, so that’s irrelevant
Dungeon vendors I can sort of see, but like Electro said, only relevant ones. Mystic Forge isn’t used THAT much to warrant an inclusion in every city, and lore-wise, it shouldn’t be possible. That said, there is one in the garrison of each borderland, but the mists don’t really follow the lore much.
Didn’t do much of the event really (right now it feels like just running up and down the path looting bodies)
Anyway, those points are flame legion and Jormag related pois. Silex Castrum (not sure where exactly that is), but ‘Castrum’ usually is where the flame legion has a hideout. The Frozen Maw has an event chain where a SoS shaman tries to create an ice elemental, presumably with his Jormag infused powers. Heart of the Corruption, if I’m not mistaken, is the ‘dome’ event, a rather large area of land under Jormag’s corruption, which has you take towers and fight a severly corrupted head of the svanir.
But I doubt those are ‘special special’ places, they just happen to be used since they’re related to the content the updates are supposed to be about.
There are lots of people in love with the lore (there’s a whole forum for it x.x)
While this would be cool, it’s kinda trivial. You can favorite colors, which basically just makes them appear at the top of your dye panel, and you can just remember the color coordination from there.
But, the idea is cool, just kinda…not important
In Rata Sum, on the level with all the asura gates, there’s a female Asura that’s interactable and talks about her female companion or something. It’s been a while since I’ve been there, but I believe she gives a dialogue box, and hints at being lesbian.
Jormag?
I mean, having a giant blizzard would surely shake up a building, at the very least.
^I haven’t read the story in a while, but I think it’s more likely what Logan did was some sort of Mesmer magic
Since Queen Jennah is a mesmer, her ‘pull’ over him might be so strong that it can teleport him, such as the in-game portal skill
You have to keep the mask, because only the starting necro armor is the place to get it
As for how mesmers/eles got it, you can transmute the mask onto a white tiered armor, and it becomes an account bound item, so other characters of the same class can wear it, on your account
I think Droknah’s is named so because of the quaggan nearby
I think an event would be more fitting. People will complain that they have to do a JP inside the story
You want ruins of stuff from GW1?
Go to the Ascalon areas. Loads of remnants
^In the Obsidian Sanctum one, there’s the giant well you have to go in circles to the top
Luck. They might divulge the secret later, when we learn more about Kralkatorrik, but for now, it’s basically she just happened to survive. Maybe if you’ve got a strong enough will, you can be immune to the corruption? DE didn’t get corrupted either, but then again, they weren’t in the direct path of the brand.
Woah. That’s awesome. It fits with the artistic style that’s portrayed in the cinematic cutscenes, which is so cool.
Please more
But it has to make sense….
Ok
This fact just makes me question more the actual creature that is corrupted. Like you said earlier, finding more andmore dragons, which didn’t seem to be that abundant just 250 years ago, to corrupt and make a champion seems like a waste of time. Shatterer is easier to think of just a corruption of material, since there are branded sparks and earth elementals, but now that I think of it, Jormag doesn’t have any non-sentient minions.
^
I know that there’s a particular one that is sold by karma vendors from Fireheart rise through orr
There are a couple others though, I’m sure they’re found elsewhere in the world
Well, in form it’s a dragon, but was it once something else? Zhaitan’s champs look like dragons, but are very fleshy, and probably the only champs that could pass for corrupted dragons. The Shatterer seems to be held together by branded crystal energy stuff, and not actually a sentient being that’s corrupted. Same with the Claw, it’s just corrupted ice in a dragon form.
My take on it, at least
Urmaug’s Secret is obviously Urmaug’s secret stash of weapons, even though he’s supposedly there for peace talks?
And Troll’s End seems to be where the Troll ended…
Chaos Crystal Cavern is some sort of Inquest experiment, Branded mine is a branded mine….list goes on
It’s just mini things in context, if anything. There are random ones like the Scavenger’s Causeway which has you getting orbs for chests, with seemingly no kind of info as to why.
I think this plot will move forward the dragon’s influence, if only indirectly. The karka attack was more widespread than just a local outbreak (ranging from Kessex Hills/LA, to the Caledon forest).
But the other problem with focusing on dragons and making them relevant still is that the big big story takes place with expansions, store-bought and all. I can’t foresee them releasing the whole of fighting Jormag in just free content updates, it would be something more of a box buy.
I was looking in the completely wrong place for that XD
But, I hope you know it’s just you looking at clouds and making shapes with them. Someone thought there was a face in the fogged up section of orr too
In that case, 1v1 king is mesmer imo
pve wise they don’t have the aoes (from what i’ve seen), but they dominate in a 1v1 situation
Besides that, by ‘looking to go for some WvW’, are you saying very competitively? If so, this site has some pretty current rankings. I’d say any of the top 3 tiers would be good, but don’t take my word for it (I’m on SoR)
http://mos.millenium.org/matchups#NA
Definitely try on your own. You have five slots, so you can try out five of the eight professions, and keep one(s) you like, try out the others just to make sure. I think ele could fit you alright, but your stipulation about ‘not doing much damage’ is gonna bite you sooner or later. GW2 is a lot about being able to take care of yourself, so being able to kill relatively quickly will become important.
Probably just dragon champs/big dragons
A title such as Frost and Flame sounds like some Jormag/Flame Legion stuff, so it’s probably going to revolve around the sons and cleaning up the charr
Or, while not as high on my speculative desires, destroyers
Could’ve just said the Quaggans were the ewoks
And wasn’t Caladbolg stuck in the ground after Trahearne purified Orr? IMO, it’s the new source, so it needs to stay there to keep Orr looking nice
Then technically, you’re the targetted audience that Anet had in mind with the gear hierarchy. They only added ascended because exotics were being obtained too fast.
Anyway, at least one of the temples is usually unlocked, just depends on your server I suppose. If you can’t get the temples, there’s crafting and dungeons
I will say, I’m glad that you guys aren’t thinking it’s canthan related. Anet posted the picture of the guy next to a horse, and everyone thinks it’s some warrior samurai…
Sure they need allies, but who says Cantha is ready for visitors? They’re a xenophobic continent now, so they’ll probably see an airship as a sign of open war or something >.>
As for the Airships getting there, I think it’s been said that these are battleships, not transport ships. They probably don’t have the fuel to go across a giant ocean.
Just did a story step on the loyal soldier father storyline, and there’s a character that’s afraid of ghost cows, which do exist.
Hate to be a downer, but I think they said they’re not making new zones for this, or at least right away. They specifically mentioned Diessa Plateau and Wayfarer Foothills, and they’re making it so the ‘unloved’ zones have incentives to be visited.
That said, yes, it’s most definitely related to Jormag/Flame Legion. But I doubt any real progress towards them is going to be made
You should have the banner if you passed the level 30-40 quests
Yeah, I was wondering about that. I’m missing one hint on the tab, but I think my counter is at 80/83
You could just talk through guild chat or make two groups of three (saying six members, since party limit is 5). There’s always voice chat programs such as Teamspeak, or you could just talk through /say chat, since you’ll be in the same area anyway
IMO, there’s no real need to make bigger party sizes just to explore or w/e.
Well yeah, it’s a harvesting tool, I understand that >.>
But just saying, people want scythes mostly because of grim reaper and dervs from gw1, and the fighting motions used would be different than that of a piercing weapon
I think the ones who use spear underwater is a good generalization. Or at least half the ones who use spears. And sorry, but scythes are not used in the same way as polearms. The motions would be very different
They left before, at the end of Nightfal (one of the gw1 expansions). Check the human forums, there’s a discussion about this there
