Don’t worry, he gets us all, friend and foe alike x.x
I feel like this topic is going in circles
Ogden is the only dwarf above the surface, the rest are below, and technically they’re all dead, since they can’t reproduce or age or anything really
In the book Edge of Destiny, they fight pretty much a champion of every dragon. I believe it goes Jormag, Zhaitan, Primordus, and then finally trying to take Kralk out
I meant to say could as in it’s possible, we just don’t know :p
I like the all checkbox idea, but I can see the want for an ‘invisible’ dye. It would add another realm of customization to have pieces of an armor be non-existant
I think they’re dead
At the end of GW1, (someone correct me if I’m way off), there’s only one mursaat still known, ‘Lazarus the Dire’. It’s true they could reproduce asexually or something, but imo they’re just hiding right now, waiting for the moment to strike instead of trying to rule the world with dragons about.
You’ll have to look at the gw1 wiki for info on that one
It was, like you said, an expansion for gw1, but instead, anet had so many ideas they decided to make gw2. We don’t really know much more than that, but the few things we do know are cool
Back in gw1 days, every new expansion brought two new professions (assassin and ritualist, dervish and paragon) and I think Utopia had a chronomancer, not sure if there was a second one. Based on the few concept art pictures there are, it was going to be an aztec/mayan themed continent, after we’d already seen asian and african inspired continents.
I think some of the ideas from that did make their way into gw2, one being the asuran architecture, which is reminiscient of the mayan pyramids
Is 4 silver really gonna kill people?
Also, if Lionguard Lyns ever comes back, she sells 250 use ori tools, so that’s basically the mystic one right there
o.o
Didn’t realize there was a time limit on character creation
How long were you gawking at your creations XD
Aren’t there also corrupted earth elementals?
So that’s a bit weird too
^Yes, that did happen
Could you explain what your point is?
Why would we have branded pets >.< There are no risen/corrupted/destroyer pets, why start now?
But yes, branded weapons would be awesome, since EVERY other dragon (albeit DSD, but we know nothing of its minions/affliction on Tyria) has a set
Back in Gw1, they had a ‘random arena’, which was just two groups of four pugs dealing it out
They could definitely put some sort of similar thing into the game again
It’s probably some coding problem, while story steps can show up anywhere in the map, events are only specific to the zone
Also, supposing they did implement this, everyone would be wasting money WP’ing to the event, only to find out it finished 5 minutes ago. Or they wouldn’t go at all because WP’ing for one event isn’t worth it
Imo, the norn culturals are some of the better looking. Wish I figured that out before I committed to a light class character, the medium and heavy ones look much better.
That said, you’re pretty much stuck with the same looking armors in groups of 10 levels. Probably more, but the standard loot armors are few and far between.
Southsun cove, not cursed shore. It’s basically become a mining zone, you get the crafting mats like you mentioned. The mobs are tougher than any others in the game (most others), so people don’t feel like putting up with them. Anet kinda admitted to this being a bad event.
This should be in the suggestions forum :p
But yes, I understand, I’m tired of wading through the complaining posts, most of them being repetitive.
ah didn’t think about that
but now that you mention it, they look nothing alike XD
Engineer has a unique one, I’m sure. There are guild backpacks like Yashiro said, and if you were here for Wintersday, there’s the toy bag backpack
The only other visible back items are the fractal relic (something like that, looks nothing like a backpack), a quiver, and a book
Oola’s lab is in Metrica Province as an event
But yeah, The grove is pretty close to Shards of Orr, albeit a little north west
Joko is a dark prescence
They are…
The next few months will have ‘an expansion’s worth of content’
And they will be making new dungeons, we just don’t know when yet
Well, just taking into account that firstborn was 12, then secondborn was (I can’t remember if there’s a number given), they stop tiering the generations. So our PC could be 7th born by now.
I think when sylvari meet others in the dream, it means they’re twins. (Don’t take this as gospel)
I find it hard to believe you’d die from nightmare influence, but being traumatized is definitely possible
@Ssalp, that’s for Polymock, which may or may not be released ever…
@EliteZ, I understand where you’re coming from. I personally don’t care, since you can just use the LA gates to go to any racial city. But like you said, others will complain, so I was just being devil’s advocate. As I was saying, if anything humans deserve another dungeon, as do sylvari and norn.
I think that just because it starts with a rune/sigil, it doesn’t guarantee one in the outcome. It should, but that’s just the gambling part: you can put lots of expensive stuff in to get a normal unruned/sigiled item
So dungeon weps do work?
were they from multiple dungeons or 4 of the same dungeon?
I know that this is more a theory craft thread, but on the ‘risen karka’ thread, a dev worded a response that claimed that Zhaitan is dead…dead
As of now, no. Just gotta find the time when it’s open, and go quick
Welcome! I like to read happy posts like this. Just ignore people who tell you why things are wrong/bad, and make those decisions for yourself
But like the above guys said, gem store is the way to ‘support’ anet, through micro transactions. I don’t use it much, but I’m planning to get two more character slots to even them out
I think you should do what you feel will keep you entertained/goal oriented. IMO, you don’t NEED rares/exotics, so long as you’re a good player. Of course, it’s good to get them asap, but if you join dungeon groups, they won’t murder you (AC/CoF 1/2)
Also, since you’re going for specific stats, check the dungeon armors first. Not sure if you know, but some of the dungeon armor stats could be Berserker, since each one has 3 sets. This’ll save you a bit of work.
Jewellery is best to just craft or buy off the TP for exotics. Since you’re doing a lot of dungeons, you’ll probably find some dungeon trinkets, but most often they’ll be masterwork (I’ve only gotten two rares from my numerous runs).
This is a mechanic of all veteran imps. I see it more commonly on Frost Imps, so just heads up for any veteran imps
Did not know this, but that feels like it should be fixed. Quivers are quivers, but if you chose to get a book, they should at least look unique. And it shouldn’t be that hard, just copy paste the icon to the model XD
^the problem is, you’re wasting money to look good at a lower level, and by ‘higher level’, the only non 80’s are the 60-79 rares or exotics with unique skins.
My two cents, don’t worry about your looks right now. Plan ahead, sure, but you’ll be replacing your armor a lot before you reach 80. Of course, I’m kinda being a hypocrite since I’m carrying about 30 trans stones for my necro starter mask XD
I think we’re talking about more recent times, not the physical exodus of the gods. Back after NF ended, and Kormir took Abaddon’s power, the gods fell silent. This isn’t an exact time frame, but around then, the gods have been mostly absent.
Anyway, the theory that gods are magical, thus staying away from the dragons is probably the best one, imo. They’re smart enough to know it’s better to let the humans be then to feed dragons.
I must say, this is the closest ranger fix post I like. Some sort of evasion mechanic for pets would be much appreciated. Most other people seem to think getting rid of them altogether is good, but just a way to give it more sentience is all that’s needed. So I’ll vouch for a F3 evasion move, rather than just a ‘retreat’.
Jora is who you’re thinking of
But imo, the legendary culturals are kinda in-game already. Sylvari-Dreamer/Kudzu, Asura-Predator, Norn-Frostfang/The Moot(not in appearance, but Norn love them some moots), Humans-Flameseeker Prophecies, Charr-Incinerator?
There are probably better matchups, but they each have at least one that can be pinpointed to a race.
I don’t talk to the mist war npcs much, but I think they just say that there are invaders. I never got the impression they knew that other servers are other realities/shards of the mist (think fractals, possible timelines).
The whole idea of WvW needs some more clarification, but it’s possible they are alternate realities. The problem with this is that these realities could have conflicting ideas, like Asura dominated the other races, or charr eliminated all the humans. Because of these power struggles, certain player races wouldn’t exist in wvw on those respective servers. Weird to think about…
Also, they have to come from somewhere…
So RNG loses in the case that a precursor does exist…
Because he wants Flameseeker Prophecies.
But anyway, good for you, I’m leaving the precursor for last, since I don’t know right now if I want to spend my time gambling.
I like this path too, but yeah, it takes way more effort than the other two. It makes you think a lot more, and focus instead of just ‘stand here, now let’s repeatedly zerg and die so Magg can open the door’.
The one problem I have is the one part where you have to capture an area and mobs spawn. Lots of burning…
And the boss wasn’t hard, he only knocked me in the lava once, if anything, make him have less health or less invulnerability times, because it was just long, not hard
Course, humans do deserve another human-centric dungeon (I guess all do, besides asura). Humans-CM, Sylvari-TA, Norn-HotW, Charr-CoF/AC, Asura-CoE/SE
All in due time
I purposely avoid ‘speed run’ groups because of this. While I do like to finish dungeons in a manageable and quick amount of time, I’d rather have a group that is friendly than one that accepts no failure.
TBH, there’s no real way to tell the difference between the two in a LFG post. A good bet is going with a guild, because they’ll be friendly with each other, and kind of just accept your skill level no matter what.
Story time: I just did a couple of SE runs with a pug, two guildies and three randoms. Path 3 we did alright, one of the guildies died a couple times on the bridge of fire and spiders, but we eventually finished it in a good time. Path 1 was horrible, we died at least enough times to fully repair, but we all stuck with it for maybe an hour. While I could tell we all were experienced, the the team mix wasn’t prime for the dungeon, so we struggled. THere wasn’t any blaming or animosity (except for the endless spawns, that part was a little frustrating), and in the end, we made it with the same group we started with.
I wish there was an easier way to decipher the friendly groups from the one strike you’re out, but it’s just a gamble :/
Of course it’s an idea. The town I was referring to is that it didn’t use to be a giant city, it was just a small townin gw1. And when I was saying would every race get one, I mean it’s kinda showing favoritism if humans get a dungeon in their home city, while other races get diddly. EX: Charr could explore the closed off sector of the Flame Legion by the ruins of Rin, Norn could do something in the SoS quarter, not too sure how Asura or Sylvari could get one.
Golems usually make weird song type noises. If you specifically heard Bonjour, then that’s a bit weird
The guild town idea sounds like you’re trying to make a city sim…
And if they’re bringing some ‘guild wars’ to the game, I think that’s referring to the old gvg system from gw1.
Calendar could work, it doesn’t affect everyone but it’s not going to be bad to put in.
Capes/alliances would be nice too, alliance less so, since you can already have guilds of 500.
Will this have story/explorable? Will the other home cities get dungeons inside? Why is there a crypt of a god under some random town that later became the last bastion of humanity in Tyria?
Depends. In most cases, being in the zone of the dungeon will spawn the popup. If you exit it, or in rare cases, you have to walk up to the entrance.
Server transfers are still free, just have a week of ‘cooldown’. But I think the problem is that the targetted server is full. That sucks, but I’m not sure what your idea is exactly. Either wait for it to get space, anet increases server sizes (again, I hope not), or find a different server all you guys can go to.
The only real thing you can’t do with friends is WvW and map completion (maybe story too). IMO, dungeons (with the exception of some story quests) are the only things you really would benefit from playing with friends. But I understand where you’re coming from
