Norn-human relationships aren’t unknown, there’s a quest line in GW1 EotN where a norn wants to marry you (male or female to be opposite of your character’s sex) and you have to go out and kill a big beast so that your legend is greater than theirs and it would ‘shame’ you to marry them, thus you get out of it.

Yeah, Kryta’s always under attack from undead, it’s kinda rediculous. But there’s no question that Prophecies was the beginning of humanity’s end in Tyria, but our actions then made it so that humanity at least survived this long. If it wasn’t for us Rurik would have gotten killed somewhere in Surmia, meaning that there would have been no ascalonian refugees to get through the shiverpeaks. Not to mention Kryta still being under the control of the Mursaat (saying that they did not just kill off humanity through sacrificial cullings)

I definitely see what you mean by the possible eye reference (Janthir). So, if this were the case, it really does not matter which direction Saul went, because their civilization would not be located in Tyria, but somewhere beyond. This leads to many questions about perhaps how the Titans wouldn’t have been able to gain access to the Mursaat through other means, but then again we have really little understanding of how the Mists work in general. It could be that getting from the foundry of failed creations to the Mursaat “homeland” would be as difficult as swimming across an ocean, whereas if there was a portal connecting their realm to Tyria, the invasion of Tyria would be similar to crossing a bridge, rather than swimming across. Interestingly enough, when we think about it, the Titans didn’t honestly care a bit about the mursaat, their only standing orders from Abaddon was to destroy Arah, in which they succeeded. The only reason that they attacked the mursaat was because of being controlled by Khilbron, and being ordered to hunt down their remnants. Course I also wonder what made it so that the Titans were so easily able to trample over the mursaat, while the humans were able to hold off attacks from the titans, including an invasion of the original Lion’s Arch.

Well, based on general anatomy, the bony structure seems to represent more of a spine or possible neck than, say, his belly, or his leg (lord if that is just a leg we’re in for trouble) this being said there is nothing stating that this is his back. Though it would make sense that in general most creatures, when sleeping, sleep with their back to the air because this is their least vulnerable part. Also, perhaps it is just the coloration of my computer screen, but I honestly do not see anything of blue when I look at the image, or the object in game.

No, but the city itself was quite a bit lower than the land outside. I remember specifically walking up out of the city and off north many times to farm War in Kryta bounties for Oppressor’s Weapons. It seems that a good part of these cliffs can be explained as merely sediment being washed into the area over 250 years, and also perhaps backwash from when the tsunami waters receeded. They more than likely washed away sediment from the nearby hills and settled it down around the foundations of the Lion’s Arch Keep, and eventually covering most of it.

Interesting thought, we have no clue what this phasing out consists of. But perhaps they were literally outside of Tyria, and they built a culture and civilization outside of Tyria that they live within. Then the question comes about as to how Saul found this civilization, and I would say that perhaps there was some sort of portal that he stumbled upon to give access. Again, pure speculation, but there is reference to them phasing out of Tyria and returning to Tyria. Although if they did get phased out entirely then why would they fear any problems from the Titans? questions, questions, questions, lol.

From what Ree Soesbee has said there are no more living normal dwarves. The ritual of the great dwarf was a trigger for the end of the dwarves. In the end all dwarves undertook the ritual in one sense or another, even the stone summit. This was described as an urge or need caused by the magic. Once they undertook the ritual they became part of the hive mind of the dwarven nation which seemed to turn them to an aggressive force against the Elder Dragons, specifically Primordius. More than likely, other than Ogden, all stone dwarves are now in the depths of Tyria fighting off the destroyers with all their strength.

Near the end of this article they talk about the dwarves all partaking in the ritual.

Furthermore, we see him in light blue during GW1, in the Charr Homelands.

Narcemus.1348

Just because these beams worked against Zhaitan does not mean that they would be equally effective against the other Elder Dragons. I mean obviously Bubbles and Primordius would be difficult to deal with from an aerial perspective. Following that the make-up of Jormag and Kralkatorrik are completely different from Zhaitan, being made of differing elements. When it comes to Jormag there is the definite need to find some way to protect the minds of pact members, cause the laser would do no good if all it’s operators are turned against us merely by looking into Jormag’s eyes. Similarly with Kralkatorrik has the ability to corrupt the environment to a greater extent than Zhaitan, so there is the possibility that he could take down the laser before it can shoot him. The other issue with Kralkatorrik, was the ability of him to disappear into storms, making targeting him extremely difficult and using airships would leave one extremely exposed to his breath. In other words, there is definitely problems to deal with when it comes to each new dragon, there is very little chance that each battle will be the same.

Yeah, being a primarily underground race, until the catacombs collapsed apparently trapping them above ground, I would assume that they found some way to get back into places that they prefer. But honestly there is absolutely no reason for their disappearance as far as timeline is concerned, they disappeared somewhere between Jormag’s and Zhaitan’s awakening. The only thing on the timeline even near this year is the death of Ventari, which is hardly connected.

If we are going to talk about what the gods represent each I would say that instead of going through Glint’s Facets we go with the facets of the gods that we find in Kerrsh’s quests.

In these quests you kill facets of the gods to gain ciphers to better understand their part in the world, and the eternal alchemy. The Facets go as such:

Facet of Spirit – Kormir
Facet of Destruction – Balthazar
Facet of Existence – Dwayna
Facet of Death – Grenth
Facet of Illusions – Lyssa
Facet of Creation – Melandru

I want to point out here that I do not see any references to the Dragons in these descriptors, except for the weak connection to death and undeath. I mean all of the dragons are destroying creation and wiping out existence, and there are none that provide the opposite of destruction, while all of them are causing large swaths of destruction.

Also Konig, I don’t remember ever hearing the description of what color he was, only what color the dragon’s blood was. Also the golden aspect was his breath, with which he corrupted living beings.

Honestly I would consider this map to be around as accurate as maps from the late renaissance perhaps closer to the American revolutionary era (considering certain races’ advanced technology). But honestly if you view such maps you will see Europe is extremely well defined, but the further out you get from Europe the more inaccuracies appear. I would view this Tyrian map to be similar, I mean Tyrians can only create maps from a ground perspective, we have no evidence of them having the ability to create satellites like we have today to give us the world as it truly is.

The material definitely looked similar to the roofs on the dwarven houses, but much of their architecture when it came to walls and towers used wood instead of stone or metal (whatever it may be) This makes me wonder if it wasn’t some remnant of one of the ancient races, though it doesn’t appear like jotun style, from what little we’ve seen, nor does it appear to be created by the forgotten, assuming the structures in the crystal desert were created by the forgotten.
