I’d like to apologize on BG’s behalf for GoF wrecking the parade. I didn’t think we had anyone tasteless enough to do that on our server until now. I expected more.

GoF has members who have attended the Yak Parade many times, and the person who used to run it on BG is in GoF. We support the idea to those who want to participate. GoF does not troll the Yak Parade. Tonight is a free night for GoF and we have a group that is roaming right now, this was not something intentional that GoF did. This group will not be attacking the Yak Parade anymore.

Except that they went out of their way to attack people in yak tonics (INCLUDING the person leading the parade) as well as chasing me down when I ran away. Approve of it or not, it did happen, and it was GoF tags. They reflect poorly on the rest of your guild.

It’s actually quite a compliment when mag’s comes to the thread… and laughs genuinely. No trolling at all.

Don’t get me wrong, Chuu had his reasons, he’s tired of TC. We enjoyed when he was here though, but have many others commanding always. TC full of RPers to fill the boots, and I’m sure we can find someone who wants to role play a WXP conductor.

I had a LOT of respect for how they held out on a regular basis with little back up. I lost all of it when they left to a T1 server, of all places.

Normally I can understand guilds transfering to fit more with a larger timezone and such but this is pretty clear bandwaggoning… No respect from me, sir.

Apparently SoR is starting to see fairweathers pop up as well. This brings me more joy than anyone could ever imagine. ALSO, no one mentioned TCBL on reset! There were lots of awesome fights all night long, even though I spent most of the night in NW tower shooting cows at GoF.

warrior damage can’t not compare to the two above, sucks at range, 130 range not spammable attacks, no AI aid, no teleport, no stealth, no invulnerability.

The tank warrior does not do massive DPS himself unless you count 1.5 k -2 k damage crits as massive damage. I think where people get this confused is that a lot of tanks build in ways to get -SOME- damage into their build to be useful. its also not terribly hard to kill a tank build warrior with regen… well you know, unless you’re solo roaming and expect to insta gib them.

All of his complaints from THIS point on are now null. He just said the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard on the forums by FAR. Guardians have the -lowest- hp pool, next to eles and thieves. He’s clearly coming to the forums and QQing without properly educating himself about any of this.

Warriors CC is a major part of its difference to guardians, along with mobility. Guess what? People whine about both. Just because you got ran over a hammer train dosent mean that its impossible to stop one, and even healing signet + mango pie warriors are weak to burst damage, and heavy conditions. At the very least you force them to switch off of hammer to clear conditions.

Its quite funny to chase a warrior with the same build though… The warrior can engage in the fight, but if they sacrifice their damage capabilities for mobility, chances are that you’ll win the fight regardless. So what, they can get away? Its not like you lost anything from the engagement. Take the win and be happy with it. I’m guilty of engaging against a bunker build and both of us being unable to kill each other, so I ran away. OMG NERF NAO!

What you do when some1 runs from you is you quickly swap in the rest of the mobility weapons when combat drops then catch up :P

I’ve got to be honest with you… I have no idea what you’re trying to ask me but I’m going to try answering…. You take it as a win, and move on. SIMPLE AS THAT. You dont need a loot bag to signify that you win a fight. Its even that way in zerg fights. Your group manages to kill half of the other zerg, they run away, its considered a win. The rule applies to 1v1 as well. Edit: I still dont really understand what you’re asking, but if you’re asking “what do you do if the person you’re fighting with switches to mobility weapons when combat drops” why are you letting them do that to begin with? without the mobility weapons you should be able to keep up just fine.

Tin foil hats for everyone! Either way, last night was fun on FABL, a few pushes on garrison that ended poorly, a handful of successful defenses, and I even got to spike my friend once! This has been so much more fun than last week.

Random fight like this is what made T2 the best match up ever!

This reminds me of a moment when we got back into bay to find a golem in the water closing in on inner. We saw the people at the gate and decided the 10-15 of us would rush the golem and see what happened. It turned into one of the funnest under water fights I’ve ever had, unfortunately it quickly turned one sided as our numbers showed up.
Either way, MAD props to the KN that were on KNBL before the patch on reset! You guys just never quit, and I especially noticed how tanky most of them were. Props to the commander for doing a good job of keeping the group out of our front line too, it was quite impressive to watch.

I was trolled the same way. Dunno by who though. I was in a party with 3 other friends WvWing when we suddenly got join request upon join request. One of my friends checked lfg and lo and behold, I was apparently lf1m for CoF speedruns. Troll obviously reads the forums as he wrote my username and not my toon name hence people couldn’t pm me.

Its the same exact person posting all of these, beause he knows my toon names, which I dont make known on the forums.

1 persons actions do not represent a whole guild though. Sometimes, bad apples emerge and stray from what the guild actually does. I’d contact the leader first and let them know about it.

that just it though, shatter inc. has not posted on the forums, and unless one of the officers/leaders posts on the forums, the bad apple is currently the face of their entire guild to me, and one other person here.

Same thing happened to me multiple times today. People putting up fake LFGs in my name. I wouldn’t say who, but from inference, probably the exact guild you mentioned as well.

I dont know anyone else who would do it that way either. My guild has a reputation for playfully trolling each other, but this guy has too much time on his hands. All because I refused to 1v1 him as a support build.

As horrible as it sounds my dream matchup would be with my first home (Ebay) and my favorite enemy (Yaks Bend) :S though thats not actually a fair matchup. I think everyone would like BG/FA/TC realistically.

I’ve done many of the race specific story lines, and I have to say that the asura ones are among my favorites, only surpassed by the iron legion story. The ghostbore turrets were awesome, but I also love the golem fights with the personal golem storyline, and the infinity ball story is very well done. Other than some of the best looking light/heavy armors in the game, their attitudes and size are clearly a winning factor.

Indeed that is the TS I was referring to. Apparently they are a PvE guild, and the one I talked to liked to show off his legendary weapons like its some kind of show of skill.

Beating the dead horse, and I’m missing one part of it but… I got it yesterday and I like it.

For dungeons, i’d rather take 4 guardians and a mesmer.

I’ve seen this first hand as the mesmer. Its horrible, and the DPS is crap. Being more survivable with less DPS against dungeon mobs = bad in the long term. We still finished any dungeon run, it just took us much much longer.

So last night I had a particularly good fight 2v1 in north camp TCBL for about a full minute without help. I was upleveled so I nearly died. Though a [salt] group from FA rolled in and kicked my butt. Props to those guys, truely monsters in small group fights. Even when help arrived none of them died.

DB is not a bad community – if you don’t go in there pretending you own the place the day you transfer. The true heart is within their natives, and to come into the community that they built and pretend that you can turn it into something other than that, will definitely build a rift between the guilds old and new. If you go in without a chip on your shoulder and work WITH the guilds – you will have nothing but a good time.
