Better to just go do other content than the dragon. From what I’ve read, the rewards aren’t even worth it. There’s plenty of other stuff to do that’s more fun.

Don’t we already have one nature themed armor set for each type (excluding Sylvari cultural) and about three weapon sets (TA, Verdant, Warden) ?

That’s the point. Excluding the Sylvari cultural sets, there’s only the Twilight Arbor armor, and it really only fits well with itself, not good for mixing and matching from what I’ve seen. And while the light and heavy sets in particular have their appeal (Medium looks “meh” to me), there really should be more varieties of plant armor that can be used for all races. That whole needing a connection to the Dream for plant armor is a dumb excuse, since Nightmare armor doesn’t follow that rule, nor do the weapons at all.

Eh, what’s going on? Don’t most good players have both a berserker set and a soldier set anyways once they get to Lv80? Though I will admit, not being able to get critical hits on Tequatl (Or the other world bosses) does seem like an oversight that should be fixed.

Harpies, Fleshreavers, Kekt (a minor character), Councilor Yahk (who doesn’t even use his), and a character in the charr story(or so I’m told). Okay, that’s not really so many, but it still bothers me that even some regular enemies we fight manage to have a sword that takes a lot of stuff to make. It actually makes me not want the weapon that much, even though it looks quite cool.

A Champion Risen Lich in Sparkfly Fen.

1, 2, 3: To even get a shot at this thing, you have to escort a Vigil pack bull carrying explosives to the Tower of Modius.

4, 5: Once there, you have to escort an NPC carrying the bomb to the tower, while the others don’t help you and the bomb carrier stops whenever a wave of Risen appear.

6: Despite breaking the tower, the bomb does nothing to the lich, who is not happy that we broke his house. Oh, and there’s a time limit. Why? Just because. Oh, and the “Lich” in his name is a lie. It’s basically a Champion Risen Wraith, except not in Orr and lower leveled, still capable of using Well of Darkness (with can hurt you as well as blind) every several seconds, and that infamous AoE health steal.

7: Once time runs out, he just mocks you, then fixes up the tower and goes back to his champion nap. No counterattack or anything. Maybe he’s on vacation?

Not her again. Why not Faolain? I actually miss Faolain now. Sad thing is, they could’ve had Faolain be behind all this and it could still make more sense than a sylvari magically graduating all three asuran colleges and maybe seeing all of existence while she’s at it.

Not again. You could’ve brought back Faolain, and instead you bring back her? Come on.

Sad thing is, Scarlet is pretty much a Faolain clone except with magitech instead of mesmer powers, and minions whom are technology based instead of nightmare based.

In fact, they could’ve had Faolain be the mastermind behind all of this rather than Scarlet. She could’ve used her mesmer magic (or one of her courtiers) to play middleman for getting the Dredge and Flame Legion together, she could’ve been involved with the Aetherblades since the Nightmare Court and Inquest were working together already, and while going to Kryta would be quite a stretch, I could see Faolain just trying to mess up other peoples’ celebrations just because she could, since she also seemed to have the same “for the evulz” attitude that Scarlet has right now.

Well…as long as we can still play the old dungeon paths as well as the new ones, it won’t bother me so much.

I think I might be one. Then again, the only times I’ve considered things to be “too easy” were in the case of Zhaitan and some of the world bosses, otherwise I don’t care about it in open world PVE. On the other side of things, there are quite a few things I find to be too hard for the reward you get. Personally, as long as content can be fun to do, it shouldn’t matter how easy or hard it is. Problem is, “hard” tends to be done in a bad way, and usually isn’t fun for me.

The vision of the future shown to us by the Pale Tree shows Caithe finally joining Faolain because of the other members of Destiny’s Edge continuing to argue amongst one another. Seeing as they seem to be on speaking terms again and joined together to help fight Zhaitan, the odds of Caithe turning evil now are less so. That being said, it could still happen to her against her will. I just hope not.

No not a troll thread. Someone should have asked whether we were getting too much karma 6 months ago.

If this isn’t a troll thread, then you’re either a bookah or someone who wants the scrolls drop rate lessened now that you have plenty so you can feel special for hoarding as many as you claim to have. Either way, you’ve lost any chance to be taken seriously.

No one asked if we were getting too much karma because no one cared about getting too much karma, at least to my knowledge.

Everyone assumes that “the competition’s machine” is a competitor with SAB for the Snaff Prize, but it’s quite possible that it’s actually a competitor with Scarlet’s Eternal Alchemy machine. If anyone has the skills to hack SAB, it’s Scarlet, but I’m sure there’s more to it than that.

Um, where does it say that Moto’s competing for the Snaff Prize? Is there even a Snaff Prize going on right now? Please show what sources this information comes from.

Also, I should mention that aside from a little dialogue from Vorpp, no one even knows her “Eternal Alchemy seeing” machine exists, and I’m sure if it was in the Snaff Prize competition, we’d know about it.

There was no indication of her being involved in many, many things.

But you’ll see.

Really now? Listing the things Scarlet’s been found to be behind:

1: The Molten Alliance. Indicated by the fact that she summons them during her invasions. It had already been suspected and inferred that the Dredge and Flame Legion were united by a third party, but the little hint we did get was so vague that we figured it was from anyone in the Consortium to Ellen Kiel and Evon Gnashblade themselves. I still think Scarlet had someone else handle/help uniting these two factions, given the Dredges’ xenophobia and the Flame Legion’s sexism.

2: The Aetherblades. Her name is dropped by Mai Trin in the Aetherblade dungeon, and she even says the Aetherblades work for her, “because they like living.”

3: The Twisted. Shown during the Closing Ceremony/Clockwork Chaos events.

Everything she turned out to be involved in was either said or inferred to have someone behind it. So no, until the developers show a Living Story involving her messing with the Super Adventure Box, I’m not seeing any involvement on her part this time. Which is good.

So either that facility used to belong to another krewe and the Inquest kicked them out or…Gorr has associates in the Inquest, and might be one himself!

Nilkemia.8507

Warning! Slight spoilers, some speculation, and a wall of text/pics here.

No T.l.d.r way out of this one.

This is a few cut-scene bits from the story mission “Magic Sucks” where you try to recruit Gorr to help you with taking back Claw Island.

He mentions how his new weapon works by sucking magic from the Risen themselves, poisoning it, then shooting it back at them to negate the magical essence of Zhaitan’s will inside the Risen to destroy them.

This may explain why all the Risen in Arah (explorable mode) act as though Zhaitan’s alive: from a certain point of view, he is, through his tangible will inside all the Risen still un-dead and corrupted after his defeat. What we destroyed just happened to be where most of his essence/will was at the time, and for all we know, that essence/will might be spreading to the rest of his minions, making them even more powerful. This helps tie back to how the dragons are said to be forces of nature, above just giant dragons that corrupt things. Their corruption is as much a part of them as is their own bodies. This means that the only true way to defeat them is to destroy not just the dragons themselves, but all of their minions and all their corruption, wherever it is. Otherwise, their minions will continue to consume in their place, and the dragons themselves might return.

While this probably does belong in the bug thread, it relates to a dungeon path so I think it can at least be here too without friction, and I’m uncertain if the bug forum gets as many people reading.

And what’s this about builds? This is meant to show something that is a genuine problem with this path now (Had it happen again on another Path 1 run roughly 30 minutes ago as of this post) if this glitch/bug continues, not argue over how to do this path the fastest or whatever. Save that for another thread.

PS quest "level gap"

in Personal Story

Posted by: Nilkemia.8507

Nilkemia.8507

That’s not what we mean. It does get annoying from time to time when you want to move on to the next story bit, but then find you’re underleveled most of the time when you want to stay level appropriate for the story missions. Because of that, and that the missions can still be tough even when you’re at the right level(depending on your profession), it’s usually better to just level to 60 or above first and go through the story then.

PS quest "level gap"

in Personal Story

Posted by: Nilkemia.8507

Nilkemia.8507

Agreed. Sticking with each quest being 1 level above the previous one is safest, since until you’re in the late levels (60+), anything even 2 levels above you can still hit you hard.
