Better stunbreakers would be nice too.

At best, they could allow you to turn into that creature for costume brawls. (Provided the creature in question is reasonably sized compared to you.) While it would be neat for them to be useful in battle or be combat transformations, that might be going too far.

“Don’t worry. We’ll meet again, some day.”

And then we never see him again, never mention it ever again, or ever try to find the tree he came from. For all we know, he might have died shortly afterwards. Seriously, why isn’t there a Living Sto—no, an expansion planned for this? The idea of other “Pale Trees” with other sylvari was neat, and then we never explore it again.

This would be the best of the second set of sylvari storylines in my opinion, but the fact that it is never followed up at all or brought up again leads me to prefer the “Act with wisdom” story missions, even though “Where life goes, so should you” is the teaching I like the most.

The epic final battle was... underwhelming

in Personal Story

Posted by: Nilkemia.8507

Nilkemia.8507

Sadly, that’s the downfall of the fight in the end. While the music and everything else makes it feel epic, considering all we had to fight just to reach this thing just makes him seem like a pushover.

To be fair, most of the Personal Story upon getting into Orr involves taking out his stronger minions and cutting of access to magic to feed upon, as well as utilizing weapons meant to be effective against dragon minions, or moreso against the Risen. We went into Arah when he was supposedly at his weakest, but still..you’d think Zhaitan would’ve put up more of a fight.

Nilkemia.8507

This would be nice to have. I use dungeon armor and karma/WvW gear because they won’t appear in a sell list at all. The buyback option for the merchant somewhat mitigates this problem if you realize it soon enough, but I’d want a way to lock items so they don’t get sold/salvaged/destroyed by accident.

You can only represent one guild at a time anyway. Sorry, but more is better. There’s a limit already in place. (5 guilds at a time, I think?) Reducing it to one would just annoy many people, I think.

I agree. These should be just account bound. Soulbinding should really just be removed all together. It’s a shame since these tools are some of the few things worth getting from the Gem Store, (even with the current price and soulbinding) and they discourage you from using any characters that don’t have them.

I guess I can understand this question, even though just being able to change the color would be enough.. Since most of us wear armor anyway most of the time, it doesn’t concern me that much. Seeing as they didn’t give us swimsuits back at the Secret of Southsun Living Story, I think this won’t happen for a long time to come, if at all.

Nilkemia.8507

Eh? I play on the lowest settings already, I think. I’m referring to the nearly invisible hammer my character is holding. And it rarely happens.

It’s not like the asura neck thing, or the eyes turning red when entering/leaving water to quickly. It’s just another neat little thing in this game, though unintended, which interests me. I almost wish I knew how it happens, since it makes my weapons look neater, kind of like the Mist weapons without the purple glow.

And even on the lowest settings, this game is still good to look at.

But enough of that. Anyone else have a translucent equipment moment?

It’s another little thing I’ve noticed every now and then, but I don’t know what triggers it. Rarely, a weapon I’m holding or my back item will turn translucent for a moment. Probably just a little bug that doesn’t hurt anything, but it’s kind of neat.

I know.. Hmm, what things do you consider to be more important right now? They probably are worth doing something about. Good idea on the compilation thread.

Still, I do wish all the rich veins either all had the sparkles or not at all. I’m still leaning towards them all having the little sparkle animation, because it makes you feel more special for reaching them..

Hmm. What’s the more important stuff right now? A little thing I’ve noticed when going to Rich Iron Veins is that in addition to looking more metal-y than regular ore nodes, they have little sparkles around them that the rich veins for other nodes don’t seem to have.

On top of that, while the other rich veins give you just 10 of the ore, (except orichalcum) the iron ones have a chance of giving you up to 15-17 of it. I wonder if it was intended, and why just for iron rich veins and not the others. It’d be neat if they all had the little sparkles too, and had chance to give more than 10 as well.

True, but these fights rarely happen and there is no way to break it up (they still count as friendly to you, and so you can’t make them stop or anything) There doesn’t seem to be any specific trigger for it, they’ll just start fighting all of a sudden, and it doesn’t stop until one dies. So, it seems to be either a bug or just another little thing that’s different from the norm, because you can really affect it.

I’m not sure what triggers it, but friendly NPCs within the camp will just start fighting each other randomly. I’ve seen Vigil and Whisper members fight, Whisper agents attacking Priory researchers (who sometimes stay in out of combat mode and just ignore the hits), and even the marmox gets in on it sometimes.

Gabby pretty much said it better than me. Zhaitan didn’t just take it easy after getting an entire continent to play with, he actively sent out the Risen to attack areas, kill more people, and spread his influence through his corrupted undead, attacking Lion’s Arch and the Orders as specific targets.

Jormag has also done the same somewhat before GW2, when he drove the norn from their original home in the Shiverpeaks, even killing the Spirit of Owl when she fought him. He seems to have taken a break for now, but the Sons of Svanir have taken it upon themselves to convert and kill more, spreading Jormag’s influence further.

When Kralkatorrik awoke, the first thing he did was go off to kill Glint. Granted, she was a former minion and a dragon herself, but Kralkatorrik sought to kill her nonetheless, not just staying where he was at when he awoke. Since then, we’ve seen nothing of him, the map implying that now he’s taking a break in the Crystal Desert…but who knows?

I don’t think the Zepyrites are reliable sources of information on the dragons’ behavior.
