I think the crown pavilion is obviously periment content. Look at it, it’s a complete redesign of the district.
(edited by Onshidesigns.1069)
Mini games are not the problem! Blame achievements that require players to grind mini games they don’t like.
Mini game achievements should be relatively quick and easy to earn. I the mini game is good many players will still play it after earning all the achievements.
Stop complaining about new content. If this was any other game. The first expansion would still be many months away.
Another event coming and still no swimsuits. Anet why did you tease players with these NPC swimsuits from Southsun. Many players are ready to buy them.
The game world is huge. If a living story is going on in one area. That doesn’t mean other areas shouldn’t have smaller events. A truly dynamic world has many things happening at the same time.
Anet just needs to work on a more wide verity of achievements that focus less on grinding. If they are going to introduce new content every two weeks.
Looks like a Halberd.

Will be in the game at some point. But expect it to be mounts.
GW2 is not a medieval fantasy game. GW2 is a world based in fantasy, post renaissance, mechanical, steampunk, industrial, magic.
Swords don’t make it medieval fantasy. Because they clearly use some type of magic.
In Divinity’s Reach Between the bank and trading post. Everyone has seen the aquarium hallway. What if there was more to the aquarium?
My suggestion is to make the aquarium accessible from the top and make it bigger. A little hidden place for players to hang out. Divinity’s Reach needs some type of water themed area.
bazaar of 4 winds wasnt a festival, its a part of living story
dragonbash was for july 4th
queens jubilee will be for gw2’s anniversary – they arent just doing these for the hell of it, theres a reason behind themAll three of what you listed are part of living story, not just the bazaar… and yes, a bazaar is a festival. All we’ve done in this chapter, excluding the trials, are festival activities. There was little to no story content at all.
The bazaar is not a festival. It’s a introduction to the merchants the sky pirate plunder.
You have to accept the fact that mini games are just part of GW2.
Once again, festival or not, doesn’t matter. And yes, mini games are a part of GW2, but they are not, and never were meant to be the core of GW2, yet for the last 2 chapters, that’s all we’ve been doing. My fault is not that the mini games exist, but that they are the driving factor of Living Story, when it should be the plot.
You can choose to do them or not. The story does not revolve around the mini games.
Jennah surrounding herself with Watchwork Sentinels… hmm, I get this weird association to the Star Wars pre-quel and the droid armies…
I got a bad feeling about this…
Watchwork Sentinels are queen Jennah personal sex bots!
The GW2 world seems to be going into a more mechanical/steampunk look based on recent living stories. Like sky pirates, sky merchants, and soon watchwork tech.
What about “The Bane” in Black Citadel. Will the Bane be a gladiatorial arena too?

I can see a foiled assassination plot.
Fractal is just a fragment of memory. It wont change anything in existing world but if we are lucky maybe it will explain some stuff. I dont expect megaload of lore anyways.
“fragment of memory” in the Mists. A chaos rift from the mists leading into the Mists?
There will be only one new fractal, not 2.
3 new fractals
Really? Which? Developer said on the forum that they will be doing only 1 of these 2 fractals.
Molten Alliance
Aetherblade Retreat
Vote on the 3rd "Fall of Abaddon or Thaumanova Reactor.
It’s on one of the developer steams.
Kiel, reactor, inquest research in elder dragons, how creation of magic happened, chaos rift in mist co siding with open wold chaos rift.
Voting for Kiel is not all that bad.
There won’t be rifts in the world btw.
There is some already. By having one exist in two places at the same time(open world and mists). You create a portal. It’s a multi-dimensional object.
Its a fractal its not gonna start doing things to the world like the others haven’t. It might open a portal to a boring boss in the fractal but thats about it.
Anet reads the forums and are taking suggestions.

Ok, let’s simplify both cases:
Thaumanova: Explosion due to an experiment gone wrong.
Fall of Abbadon: A fight between gods.
Ok, now let’s put each in their rightful glory.
Thaumanova: Explosion that broke the space-time continuum due to an experiment gone very wrong.
Fall of Abbadon: The fight between 6 gods ending in the exodus of the most powerful entity of all of Tyria.
Bottom line is, anyway you want to put it, simplified or actuality, the Abbadon Fractal is superior. Sure, Thaumanova might be interesting, and i’m sure i’d be thrilled to know what happened there, but at the cost of losing the only possibility of seeing the gods GW2 render (including pre-cursed Abbadon), I just don’t think it’s cool/elaborate/epic enough.
You don’t know what the inquest was experimenting with at Thaumanova.
Chaos rifts lead to the GW underworld.
The Abaddon fractal pre-dates GW1. So that makes it even more none relevant to current events in the game.
Fall of Abaddon will be made into a fractal even if it loses. To many Anet employees want to make it. But Fall of Abaddon just does not bring anything to current GW lore.
Why would ANET rig the election? They are the ones trying to collect data which character we want to see in the future.
It’s more about which fractal do we want to see in the future. Or are we so shallow that a WP discount can mesmerized us.
Like how Abbadon mesmerized that half of the population?
The fractal is a permanent addition which should drive your vote, not the temporary 4 week reduced wp costs (probably 10%).
What drives my vote is the FREE temporary content that I get rather than the temporary content I HAVE TO PAY FOR to experience. Not only that, I have absolutely no clue wtf happened at the reactor. I would like to see what happened.
Inquest happened. Same experiment like in CoE but they failed and that’s all.
It’s what the inquest was researching. Elder Dragons, that lead to the explosion that created the chaos rift and magic itself.
So dragons are so exciting you want a CoE 2.0? Guess you never played Gw1 and don’t know what real lore is.
GW1 lore comes 2nd to new GW2 lore. We are not playing the same characters.

If they did Abaddon. Players would only complain about how it was redone.

Obviously, Anet already has in mind which fractal they want to build. Everything else about the election doesn’t matter. The only thing that will affect the devs is which fractal to build. They are going to build Thaumanova; that is obvious since it ties in better with GW2 lore. Many current players don’t care about Abaddon because they didn’t play GW1. So how to ensure that Ellen Kiel wins and therefore Thaumanova gets built….. make sure the votes show her as the winner. Simple.
It’s not that I care about GW2 lore more. Unless Anet is bringing the gods back. GW1 lore should not hold back new GW2 lore form being developed.
Mini games are a good thing. Anet promised players before launch we would have many.
If you was playing WoW it’s first year. You would not of seen any new expansion yet.
The problem is, by voting for Gnashblade you are sending a clear message to ANet, RNG is good!
Nah, this has zero influence on how A-Net implements RNG. If Kiel had a connection to less RNG then you might have an argument, but she has no ties to RNG issues at all.
Your statement contradicts itself.
It’s because Kiel is not NPG connected to RNG, I vote for her.
Evon is Anets RNG maskat!
So… it looks like Magnus will have 2 votes in the council breaking the balance? Not cool.
I like Magnus but him having 2 votes (Kiel is his Robin, she will do EVERYTHING he commands and Kiel lacks a lot of personality) on the same individual on a council of equals breaks the power balance.
Just some reminders hoping to affect the final outcome:
- If you’re voting the pretty face, Evon’s first mate is human female and prettier than Kiel.
- If you’re voting for the human, take in consideration that you’re really voting for a Norn (Magnus) as Kiel winning only means 2 votes for Magnus. Aditionally Evon offers the most important battle for humanity in a fractal.
- If you’re voting for the waypoints, take in mind that it is a temporal thing, so you will save like… 30 silver maybe? No big deal compared with permanent content.
- If you’re voting to punish RNG, take in consideration that Evon is just the NPC, it’s an outside game lore decission (and if you’re blaming Evon for that, start blaming him for being able to trade quickly, finding what you want to buy or selling really fast anything you got). Aditionally current iteration of the RNG is akittens best as now you can buy the skins from players so you don’t need to take risks.
While Evon might offer (one of) the most important battle for humanity, Kiel offers insight into the single most important battle for ALL the races, namely the Elder Dragons. Thaumanova has been confirmed to relate to all six of the Elder Dragons, which are far more important than the human gods.
Also, keep in mind that Evon is either manufacturing goods for or dealing directly with the Molten Alliance (and thus Flame Legion), as well working with the Consortium. Neither of which have any good intentions for LA.
Well the dragons are pretty boring so far :/ So lore wise it’s gods 1, dragons 0.
I’m sure Anet is learning lessons on the mistakes they made with the current dragons.
No player will ever get to kill a God in this game. So they will still need large enemies like dragons for players to kill.
Evon is a vote for RNG.
Thank you for responding.
I don’t really know what the big deal really is then – after all we can get the keys for gold, and that gives everyone a chance to get those things. Of course, people with more funds will be able to get more chances, but it’s still, as mentioned earlier, random, ergo: more buying ? more winning. This whole situation is being unnecesarily blown out of proportion.
Have you seen gem prices now compared to halloween. This is Not a free market. Anet is making players grind hard to get things for free in the gem store.
People voting for Kiel don’t really care of the future of Lion’s Arch they only care about the reduced WP travel and nothing else
I vote for Kiel because I care about current GW2 lore. Not some old has been dungeon.
Also to much of the story is revolving around Loin’s Arch.
The fractal dungeon that kiel proposes is in the future then?
Why is it hard for some to understand.
There is a current chaos rift in the open world.
The fractal will open one in the Mists.
This could make a portal to the realm of Torment. Or something big coming through into the open world. Could be anything.Whatever happens in there will only happen in the mists not the world.
Two of the same chaos rift will exist in two places at the same time. This could possibly create a portal “wormhole” between the open world and something in the Mists.
Ancient history. Compared to Thaumanova, a largely unexplained event that rivals the rise of Kralkattorik for significance in recent history. What? Why? How?
We all know the story of Abbadon, and most importantly, we all know the full extent of it’s results and significance. Also, chaos magic could potentially be used to create temporal magitech for use in living story.
We already know what happened with Thaumanova. The Inquest were experimenting using the reactor to harness dragon energy, it overloaded and exploded. We already know the consequences of it, enemies from all around the world get teleported into it and a Golem tries to clean it up and brings in a huge fire elemental instead. The end.
The Inquest are doing the exact same thing at Crucible of Eternity. It is LITERALLY Thaumanova 2.0 but specifically designed to handle their experiments rather than just hijacking an existing reactor for it. It too is failing however and players and Destiny’s Edge/Pact have to shut it down.
Abaddon’s fall has sent ripples through history that have shaped the entire world of Tyria as we know it and we don’t know when those ripples will stop. Because Abaddon was cast down, the Gods left Tyria, leaving Orr to its own devices. Abaddon in the Realm of Torment created the Titans, the Titans gave the Charr the ability to perform the Searing, which allowed them to retake their ancient homeland of Ascalon, which set in motion an invasion that empowered the cult of the White Mantle and the Mursaat, and caused the cataclysm that sank Orr to the bottom of the sea and killed all its people. The Vizier of Orr was a servant of Abaddon, and it was he who cast the spell that caused the cataclysm. A servant of Abaddon also tricked Shiro Tagachi into murdering the Canthan Emperor years ago, creating the Jade Sea and Echovald (petrified) Forest. Shiro then became a servant of Abaddon after he was defeated as an envoy of the Mists by players. Abaddon attempted to break out from his prison and take over Tyria, he was killed, and a new Goddess rose up in his place. The Gods “went silent” when the Dragons awoke, conveniently, shortly after Abaddon’s final death (trust me, this is not a coincidence). The Dragons searched for artifacts related to Abaddon, so obviously there is some connection, but we don’t know what.
Vote Evon for something epic that has shaped Tyria’s history for thousands of years and continues to do so.
Vote Kiel if you want to just see the predecessor to CoE with consequences we already know about and repeat every day or in fact every half an hour if you want.
You don’t know the consequences of the reactors chaos energy in the Mists is.
Well we didnt kill them in gw1, and that was fine by me.
A NPC somehow killed a God and became a God her self. This is poor writing.
Most players will only play Abaddon a few times for the story. Then it’s all speed runs to the final boss. Because the LOOT is the only thing they care about in the dungeon.
Also because they remember the story from the last few times they did it.
What story? The fractal won’t have any story to it apart from the what you do while going from A to B.
People are looking way to deep into all of this. It is going to be a 15 to 30 min Fractal with very minimal story if any at all. Don’t confuse this with story dungeon mode.
Developer already hinted that the reactor’s chaos rift will have affect on the
Mists as a whole.
Gods are probably better foes then dragons, well they cant be worse anyway.
No player will ever get to kill a God.
I vote for Kiel because I care about current GW2 lore. Not some old has been dungeon.
Also to much of the story is revolving around Loin’s Arch.
1. It wasn’t a dungeon, it was a mission.
2. This isn’t even the same event, pay attention. Exodus* , Crystal Sea*
All of GW was a co-op dungeon.
People voting for Kiel don’t really care of the future of Lion’s Arch they only care about the reduced WP travel and nothing else

It’s just a fractal. How many current fractals actually tell a meaningful story? Most likely it will be another boring boss fight that people will hate if it takes longer than 15-20 minutes to complete. And yes this applies to the Thaumanova Reactor as well. People are just looking too much into it, expecting a huge story dungeon.
Anet is reading the posts and taking suggestion. So people are not expecting to much from the reactor. In Fact what they expect will be a effect outside the fractal.
People voting for Kiel don’t really care of the future of Lion’s Arch they only care about the reduced WP travel and nothing else

Thaumanova Reactor will have this too. But the difference is the chaos rift is still active in the open game world. Who knows but Anet what the outcome of this is. I want to find out what the chaos rip is doing or going to do to reality.
Well done for defeating the entire point of your argument. Whatever fractal is added, be it Abaddon or Thaumanova or a quaggan birthday party, will be played in this way once people learn the path.
As for “still active in the current world”… so is Abaddon’s temple.
In fact, I’d say it’s more likely that a Living Story or other open world update will explore the current effects of the Thaumanova Reactor if it’s not put in FotM. If it’s a fractal, the devs can quite happily say “we’ve dealt with that mystery already, let’s do something new.” If it doesn’t become a fractal, then there’s a far grater chance it’ll have to be revealed in another way in a future update.
My post NEVER ONCE indicated that the reactor would not play the same.
The point as there is more to the reactor. That affects current events in the game.
how pretentious that the reactor is described as “new” and “interesting”
i dont think any stupid asura experiment is interesting at all
and whats more ridiculous is that the reactor has been introduced more recently than abbadon , we have seen updates for it recently, abbadon is what hasnt been touched in a while so its “newer” to many people and they will learn to love him
Choas rift to the Mists
Choas rift in the Mists
This could lead to things like a portal to the Realm of Torment.
you dont know anything at all about the abbadon story , i think asura are beyond boring and stupid anyway
Reactor is not that much about the Asura at all! It’s about the kitten that happened from their failed experiment. Asura is just the catalyst for something much more interesting.
As for not knowing anything about abbadon. Abbadon is not affecting the present world in game.
Most players will only play Abaddon a few times for the story. Then it’s all speed runs to the final boss. Because the LOOT is the only thing they care about in the dungeon.

how could she possibly be ahead abbadon will feast on her eyes….
See it on youtube or play GW.
Game developers shouldn’t want to RE-CREATE OLD CONTENT.
Abaddon supporters are like a cult. They want a brief glimpse of their God and thats it.
Reactor supporters want new interesting lore that is still taking place in the game.
Some say Anet will get to the reactor eventually. But why put new game lore on hold?
~snip~
I said not relevant to CURRENT events. It’s just history of the game.
And, in the first sentence, I said it may not be relevant to CURRENT events. But he is relevant to the shaping of the everyday world around us that we play in.
Developers need to concentrate on what you think they should concentrate on.
Fixed.
These words are not in your other post. CURRENT, may
(edited by Onshidesigns.1069)
This is a new age in the GW story. Voting for Abbadon is living in the past.
GW2 lore needs new current lore. The reactor rift is still active so a fractal based on it’s explosion is relevant to present game events.
