Will the Crown Pavilion be permanent but closed at the end of the month?
Will the Queen’s Gauntlet also be permanent but closed at the end of the month?
And will both be updated and opened for future event themes?

Make gem store skins/toys work like account achievement skins. Once you buy, the player can copy as many times as they want.
Most players buy one of each outfit anyways. So why not do this?
I don’t see how they conflict or even how they make you travel. For example, Maguuman Killer and Aquatic killer could be done in the same spot (I like sparkfly fen for that). Heck, just doing the quaggan escort near sparkfly fen that is normally ready to be started anytime I’ve gone there is usually enough to put me well over 80% on acuatic killer (and 40% on maguman killer), so that’s 2 achievements I can do on that map alone,
Players are only doing the stuff that can be completed in water. Leaving 2/3 of the map dead.
Achievements are limiting players option on where they can play to earn the reward. Leaving whole zones unplayable for doing DE’s.
They already are a collectable. Because the player is slower than runming on foot when using a cosmetic mount. Equal speed will still make it a cosmetic mount.

Achievements are meant to be achievements………………………………………………………….
Sometimes you have to go out of your way to “ACHIEVE” them.
You miss the whole point.
Take “Maguuman Killer” and “Daily Aquatic Slayer” today. There are events in the water but few on land. Because it’s not worth doing the other dailies in the zone. When “Ascalonian Event Completer” is in the daily list.
You all don’t seem to understand how a bad combination of dailies can negatively affect zones.
Oh I get your point. You just want to stay in your little zone and not explore the rest of Tyria.
You didn’t read anything in this whole post?
Players NOW are staying in there little zones. If you go to other zones, there nearly empty. Dailies are only make low level zones populated.
The GW2 world seems to be going into a more mechanical/steampunk look based on recent living stories. Like sky pirates, sky merchants, and soon watchwork tech.
And this makes me incredibly happy.
I agree. Steampunk fits rather well in Tyria.
How does steampunk fit with a high fantasy setting? Because they had to force feed it to us from the start because they created these dragons which were described as unstoppable creatures?
In a high fantasy setting it probably wouldn’t. In Guild Wars 2, it fits nicely.
High fantasy could also be high technology that is not realistic.
Players should be able to complete all PvE dailies in the same zone.
Because it will have everyone in Orr. I want players spread around the whole map.
You just contradicted yourself.
The current dailies DO spread people across the map.
I also read one of your posts where you told someone “F-U”. That’s nice. This thread should be closed since your arguments are contradictory and do not lend themselves for discussion because you, the OP, berate others for making comments that don’t agree with yours.
No only to mainly 1-25 zones.
These are mounts, now will you stop asking for something already in the game?
This is the way mounts should be in this game. (Non-living, small, mechanical, magic, steampunk)
The only things I would change is:
*apply the speed boost the player already has to the mounts. No slower or faster than running.
*No time limit
*No knocked off mount from short falls.Knocked off from short falls is because you take combat damage from falling, and thus enter combat.
There is no time limit.
Adding a speed boost instantly makes these items paytowin since it does give you an unfair advantage, even if it’s minute. (Note, these items *can be used in WvW, so try to balance around that.)*I personally think that they work fine, there just should be more variety.
The problem is that people don’t view these as mounts since they’re not real objects which you sit atop (although the Broomstick is real and an object that you sit atop, people don’t perceive it as a mount since they, themselves, are called Vanity items and equipped as a Toy).
SAME MOVEMENT AS ON FOOT APPLIED TO MOUNTS! HOW IS THERE ANY ADVANTAGE? It all caps because I am yelling common sense to you.
Is the same speed-boost from running, unreasonable for cosmetic mounts?
Well then they wouldn’t be cosmetic, would they? Also, what would you consider to be a reasonable speed boost? All professions already have some kind of on-foot speed boost be it through signets or other means.
Adding speed boosts to “cosmetic” mounts (especially boosts of 50% or more) will simply lead to a chorus of “the world is too small!”.
The same speed as the player on foot (Both swiftness and sprint). It’s not currently the same as on foot.

If you want people in high level zones why aren’t you demanding the Orr slayer, Orr Veteran slayer and Orr Event Completer dailies to be a thing?
Personally, if I can’t complete the majority of my dailies simply by doing the Ulgoth chain in Harathi Hinterlands I simply don’t bother doing the dailies. Failing to get one laurel isn’t going to ruin my day.
Because it will have everyone in Orr. I want players spread around the whole map.
Wouldn’t it nice to play the game like this with only the skill bar. And to be able to turn all other hud features on or off.
Who wouldn’t want to see the Queen dripping in the blood of her opponents. As you cheer her on.
We already have cosmetic mounts and it’s clearly not enough for the mount brigade. Soon they will want speed-boosts, mounted combat, mounts with stats, flying mounts and so on, all because “other MMOs have them”. Where will it stop?
GW2 wasn’t designed with mounts in mind, especially flying mounts. The maps are zoned, not seamless and I can’t imagine anything more annoying than an idiot on his flashy oversized sparkly mount purposely blocking/obscuring jumping puzzle platforms.
No mounts.
Is the same speed-boost from running, unreasonable for cosmetic mounts?

Lol? Says who?
lazy people apparently .
Maybe I want more player in higher level zones. So there are events to play in.
that’s perfectly fine but there are a lot of high level zones out there . Staying in one zone however is lazy.
Few events in those zones is the problem. The current dailies I highlighted do nothing get people into those zones. But there should be no daily tell players which zone to play in.
Players need more encouraged to play in higher level areas. But not forced to choose which area through dailies.

If the player only wants to PvE. Four of the tasks is already chosen for you out of these five.
Daily Gatherer
*Daily Laurel Vendor
*Daily Aquatic Slayer
*Skill Point Accumulator
Daily Laurel Vendor
*Mystic Forgesmith
Then it’s about what zone you want to play in (Ascalonian or Maguuman). But if the player chooses “Daily Group Event Completer” in Maguuman. It does not count
in Ascalonian Event Completer.
I believe the thinking behind the introduction of the dailies rotation was to encourage people to branch out to different zones rather than being able to complete them day after day in the same spot.
The dailies don’t force people to do anything. You don’t have to complete them, and you only have to complete 5 if you want the Laurel.
They aren’t compulsory.
Players are not rewarded well for completing dailies in harder zones. Maybe the new champ loot will encourage players to play in other zones.
But as it is now. players are mostly completing them in 1-25 level zones. So the dailies are not working as intended.

Daily Group Event Completer
Ascalonian Event Completer
Maguuman Killer
*Daily Gatherer
*Daily Laurel Vendor
*Daily Aquatic Slayer
*Skill Point Accumulator
Daily Laurel Vendor
*Mystic Forgesmith*
*Daily Mists Invasion Defender
*Daily Mists Tower Capturer
*Daily Mists Camp Capturer
The first three highlighted dailies are the ones that conflict with each other. They force the player to play in multiple zones. Players should be able to complete all PvE dailies in the same zone. This would exclude city dailies.
Mystic Forgesmith, Why do we have to spend in game more money or crafting materials for a daily?
WvW dailies is PvP. So why is it in with PvE dailies? If players wants to WvW they will on their own.
Sometimes the dailies force players to play change the way they play. By making players play in areas they are not in the mood to play. This can leave whole other zones nearly empty. This goes against the play your own way philosophy.
Wrong.
Nothing is forced. Players make their own choices.
Again, people need to accept responsibility for their behaviors and choices. Look in the mirror, the game doesn’t force it or even require it. Its totally a choice.
No you are wrong!
If a daily says to kill X number of enemies in one region. You will most likely finish your dailies in that region. But what if a player doesn’t have much time. And they wanted to play in a different region only to find that the daily does not reward them for doing so.
Then the player CHOOSES to work towards a reward instead of playing the way they want. Its not forced, its just a choice. If you decide a reward of a certain type is more important than having fun in your preferred method, again that is your decision., and not a requirement of the game.
Some dailies make entire zone nearly empty of players. Resulting in very few DE.
Why should players get more of a reward for playing in the region the daily is required? There is a such thing as a BAD daily task. If it has a negative impact on other areas of the game.
Businesses don’t need to rip customers off to be successful.
But pirates do.
And Evon is a pirate. :p
And Anet is NOT a pirate “maybe”!
Nobody is forcing you to buy keys, and this is a council of pirates… of course the corrupt business man should beat out the little girl who doesn’t like to get her hands dirty and can’t even do her own job. Who was it again that discovered that it was Mai Trinn who killed the last councilman? Certainly not Inspector Kiel.
Anet puts skins everyone wants in these RNG chest. Anet supports a corrupt businessman “Evon” because they think gambling boxes are good business. But it is not good business to kitten your customers off.
STOP defending Anet for their greed! Money can be made a more honest way.
Also, the gem store skins should NOT be rare.

What about groups asking for players for specific paths? It going to make finding a group harder.
Both candidates stood around and watched in the candidate trials.
Just because someone is successful, doesn’t mean they’re evil. The root cause of this blame is jealousy.
Businesses don’t need to rip customers off to be successful.
Also a “Golden BL Key” defeats the purpose of lottery boxes. Why not just sell everything outright?

A Thaumanova Fractal would just be another fight with a Fire Elemental. We already get that every hour, every single day. But we don’t see Abaddon ever in this game. So his Fractal would be new and original.
Vote Evon, for originality!
The Shadow Behemoth uses chaos energy. There is a chaos rift in the Thaumanova reactor. We could be fighting anything.
So it could be a rehash of SB or the Fire Ele fights? No thank you. Abaddon Fractal is the way to go!
Shadow Behemoth is cool. It just dies to quick and needs some new mechanics. Less people will farm it with the new champion loot, if it gets them into other zones.
Anet does that, not Evon Gnashblade. But since Evon is the embodiment of a corrupt businessman. Who sells these keys. I voted all my votes except one for Kiel.

Fall of Abaddon is over a 1000 year old lore, myth and legend. It should remain so. By wanting to see this event you are taking all the romanticism out of the event. More recent events should be more clearly explained.
I do think Anet can explain older lore in other ways. Like NPC conversations, book to read/collect, in game plays in the theater at DR.
Why can’t this be normal DE’s?
I don’t give a kitten about what happened over a thousand years ago in the game!
We are not playing characters that have anything do with that incident. It’s all past lore unrelated to current events.
The reactor explosion is in the past too but it’s effects are still active and can be seen in the game.
These are not normal fractals! Anet made them the center of the Living Story line. So both must be likely to have some effect on the Mists or open world outside the fractal.
Unlike lazily watching some non-god NPC magically defeating a god. And somehow absorbing it’s power to become a God.
For the billionth time. This is not the fight that had Kormir in the Realm of Torment. This is the battle that happened 1000 years earlier that turned the Crystal Sea into the Crystal Desert.
Say no to golem grinding! Vote Gnashblade!
Another 1000 years in the past makes those events less relevant to current events in GW2.
Emperor Commodus of Rome would fight as gladiator spectacles. Against weakened slaves. Because watching people die, just wasn’t cutting it.
Maybe Queen Jennah is the same way? In that her thirst for blood can only be quenched by participating in the gladiatorial arena.
Or she could have a Queen’s Blade style tournament. Fighting in kinky outfits for our amusement.

There won’t be enough food for the duration of the festivities. Oh no!
That’s the Canthan New Year when we present the food to the gods, l2lore ;P
The food will come from fallen gladiators in the Arena. Hope you like soylent green.

I wouldn’t mind quite so much if these robots didn’t all apparently look like rip offs of the android from metropolis!
That makes it more awesome. Now if we actually had the CITY from metropolis.
Never seen the original move. But the Anime movie was really good.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0017136/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metropolis_
Hey now, you saying robots can’t be elegant? C-3PO would like to have a world with you!
The mini shows a naked robotic soldier with bolts for n_ps holding a Halibert so ya they are pretty elegant and sexy. I might be seeing things though.
Honestly looks like a robotic poll dancer in combination.
Looks like a ring to me. Nice touch though Anet Now lets bring back to claw covering the breast.
I don’t think the new Queen’s Watchknight’s are going to be standing around doing nothing the whole event. Maybe the sky pirates will attack the city. To try to steal the new Watchwork Mechanisms.
No Queen Jennah just going to throw the sick and poor into her gladiator arena.
These races (Kodans, Hylek, Quaggan, Skritt ) are more sub-races. They all lack depth to them to make them interesting playable races. Things like needing more diversity in looks of their races, more in depth lore, and more complex cultures.
Kodans themselves do seem to have some lore and culture. They need more diversity in their looks. And need to be integrated into the overall game world more.
The Tengu however from the GW wiki. Has all these things to make them a interesting playable race (Diversity in looks, complex culture, and lore).
More camera controls
Toy camera, Player will be holding this carma ingame to take images and video in FPV. Ability of camera will switch your view the camera’s view.
Spawn a camera A small orb that the players can control. That can move in any direction (horizontally and vertically) up to fifty feet.
Camera tilt camera angle can be tilted 360 degrees.
*Lock free camera position
*Rotate free camera in all directions.
Full camera controls is needed for players/RP players who want to make their own story stories to upload to the internet.
Add bring back “High Resolution Screenshots” to the list. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/High-Resolution-Screenshots/first#post2267159

Why do we have to do the candidates work? Candidates should doing things for players votes. Instead of giving players orders. It should be the other way around.
I think the crown pavilion is obviously periment content. Look at it, it’s a complete redesign of the district.
Unless it collapses again at the end of the two weeks/month…
Anet didn’t have a use for the collapse district. They had to put something pertinent their to fill in the space from the scrubbed arts district.
What I would like to know is what Anet original plans for the area was.
Best we know, at some point prior to launch it was the location of a Canthan district (a counterpart to the Elonian and Ascalonian districts). We’ve heard (comments to a podcast from one arenanet developer who may or may not know the whole story himself) that the way ArenaNet was designing the Canthan art style caused problems with some higher-ups due to the mix of different styles, and ArenaNet didn’t have time to completely redo the entire art style to fix it and replace everything before launch, so they chose to remove it and put The Great Collapse there instead, with it (in-game) previously being an Arts district.
Players tend to confuse the in-game history of the area with the development history of the area. However, we do not know everything about what happened, nor the current state of affairs with the whole situation (and honestly anyone saying otherwise is trying to sell you something).
There’s several threads (including a big Cantha one) discussing this in more detail, so hopefully we won’t derail this topic.
That’s what I thought. But I mean more like what mini games, art professions, armor, weapons was planned to go with the theme.
Enter the Crown Pavilion – Begins August 6
Test yourself in an entirely new mini-zone featuring mighty representations of humanity’s enemies. By representing various cities of Tyria, you can be named champion of a nation and gain access to unique reward vendors.
This is a VERY long term content. Each player can now represent their race in the Crown Pavilion. It will most likely have a rankings system.
Hopefully this Queen’s Jubilee thing is not as bad as this politics release.. because this one is really boring. The only reason I still play this game is based on what you guys release and I understand that there isnt always violence going on in Tyria every two weeks, but it couldn’t hurt to have a little more…
Other games don’t have any new content in their first year or longer.
I think the crown pavilion is obviously periment content. Look at it, it’s a complete redesign of the district.

bazaar of 4 winds wasnt a festival, its a part of living story
dragonbash was for july 4th
queens jubilee will be for gw2’s anniversary – they arent just doing these for the hell of it, theres a reason behind themAll three of what you listed are part of living story, not just the bazaar… and yes, a bazaar is a festival. All we’ve done in this chapter, excluding the trials, are festival activities. There was little to no story content at all.
The bazaar is not a festival. It’s a introduction to the merchants the sky pirate plunder.
You have to accept the fact that mini games are just part of GW2.
Once again, festival or not, doesn’t matter. And yes, mini games are a part of GW2, but they are not, and never were meant to be the core of GW2, yet for the last 2 chapters, that’s all we’ve been doing. My fault is not that the mini games exist, but that they are the driving factor of Living Story, when it should be the plot.
You can choose to do them or not. The story does not revolve around the mini games.
Oh? Lets look at the activities and achievements for this chapter, and then tell me that living story doesn’t revolve around mini-games; because it certainly doesn’t revolve around the story. There was only one instance.
The story itself does not revolve around mini games. It’s about the election.
Sounds like you’re complaining about mini games when it’s really the achievements you don’t like. If you want more achievements not based on the mini games, ask for them.
