A common misstake among mesmer is that they focus on the weapn dmg. The base wep dmg is only a margain of our dmg and the shattering, confusion, retaliation etc is also part of our totla dmg. Also alot of our dmg inc abilitys is based on eachother like might on shatters etc.

One thing that talk againt scepter in anything exept a ocational condition spec burst is the fact it have no on demand clone generation. Yes its give a clone every auto but its not on demand. Even if the clone generation was dubbeled you still would not get 1 clone at a time and not on demand.

In any PvP situation you want as big controll as possible, just look at signet of inspiration. Breefly it look good, 1 boon every 10 sec, spread al boons on use. The random part of this thu make the signets passive close to usless in any pvp situation,

Now instead theorycraft with me here. Imagine if the signet instead would granted specifyed boons abilitys but with a 20 sec cd. On heal activation say protection and fury. Another 2 on heal say swiftness and regen. Now suddenly as you notice the signet is close to OP, this as you can apply the buffs you want on demand, getting attacked? dodge for protection and fury, need a speed boost? Use heal. This also lock up rune situation for mesmers as we with the signet would get the speed on demand etc etc.

Exact the same we have on scepter, the clone is not on deamnd. Need a fast mindwrack with 1 clone to burst? well with a scepter you can happily autoattack 3 times then u can do wm. With a sword, staff and even GS you can istead create a clone and use MW.

Our dmg is kinda lying in Heart of myst aswell as confusion dmg is a part of it plus we skale EXTREMLY well with gear. mening in wvwvw and pve our burst is totaly ok.

Confusion dmg is lowered in spvp to 50%.

@Mushaa, Hi, she current guide on this forums is the most uppdated, over the last month sens I started the Shatter Cat Builds patch after patch hit and also I found ways to optimice the builds. This ressult in a constant uppdate of the guides and some of the older vids are even if viable not exactly setup like the text guild.

Also mind that for group combat and special situations I constantly switch utilitys. Example I run with mass invis 90% of the time on Shatter Cat Heavy and Hybrid but for some attacks I switch to Time Warp as the group need it more. If I for the time beeing feel the group I going to attach have alot of condition applyers I mabye get in null, If group need portal I switch to poral on heavy etc. Flexibility is one of the core features of the *Shatter Cat builds and one of the reasons they work so well in many situations.*

Sword for heavy, first ty for point the link out. The S C Heavy got a major uppdate 3 weeks ago after hard testing and it turned the build into a monster in term of dmg/survival ratio. When I changed the text I forgot theblink and pistol still is listed. Il fix thos djuring the day.

Reason for S/s on S C Heavy is that it use the synergies from sword traits. The cd on block and phantasm give a higher clone generation, higher spike dmg (Crit dmg got uppdated on the spec and is around 103% with the latest gear) and as a bonus a on demand block.

@Praxis, basicly practice. I not saying its a L2p issue as t sound so arrogant in my ears but its a matter of me failed so many times I now have a feeling for the angle staff let you climb. Dont stand back to a hard shifting rock, stand with a little angle, to see what I mean look at the combat part of the vid and how I use the Butterfly Leap in it.

@Darkwolf, I reccomend start play in a 5-10 man team, best learning ground as you need to be pro to survive still nog get insta gimped by every smal team.

Hi.

I will add my first Mesmer tutorial to the video guides I mkae today. When its done I add it to this thread as it help ALOT vs thiefs. It aslo include several 1 vs x number of thiefs and a 1 vs 3 thiefs (2 d/d 1 p/d)

My work to keep the guide up to date and under constant improvment go on. I can now happily announce my long time goal to create a tactical guide for the Shatter Cat builds is under construct. I will add this guide to the S C thread in a section and link to it.

This will make it easier for ppl who read the guide and use/want to use the build to improve.

-Portal: One of our core abilitys, there is alot of ways to use this in a group both defensive and offensive. Its usualy best not to do a strait in portal bumb but place the portal behind enemy teams and do it in stealth

-Elites: There is 2 elites that most partys need from mesmers, Mass invissibility and Time Warp. Both is needed and its up to you and your guild messmer friends to organice who carry what. Good base rule thu is that the protal mesmer in the team play heavy shatter build with survival skills and use mass invis.

5 – Group/guild combat as a shatter mesmer

5.1: Role: There is several roles for the mesmers in a mid size team but two core roles. One is the frontline shatter mesmer another is the support Glamour mesmer, there is also a alternative of a ranged dps mesmer but this role is better filled by other classes.

The frontline mesmer will be using the class high mobility and survival to burst down enemys without go down himself. When team attacking its also often hes role to use veil and portals to get a first blow on enemy.

The support Glamour mesmer will be futher back in the team, locking down enemy teams with a steady streem of confusion and blinds. A good setup here is also to use Rune of Lyssa (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Rune_of_Lyssa) and Signet of Inspiration ( http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Signet_of_Inspiration)

5.2: Utilitys

Butterfly leap

Its a tactic by alot of ppl especialy mele find cheesy and close to op. For mesmers our mobility is one of our strongerst cards and the butterfly Leap use this to maximum.

Its a incombat teqnicue to constantly juke up and down a high ground creating LOS vs ranged and get out of range from mele. The clones, aoe, phantasms and shatters still deal dmg.

You need

-Blink
-Sword MH
-Staff OH

Bonus: Combine with for chaos armour, target drop and one aditional leap

-Portal
-Stealth
-Null field

Solo Portal

A portal is far fom only a group utility. There are endless ways to use a portal, al from trolling to do agressive bombing.

Some tipps:

1-Tele stomp: Drop portal down a enemy, hit portal, stomp, use portal, use portal, stomp land, portal out.

2-Range bomb: Drop portal, start fight enemy away form portal, get 3 clones, drop portal and chaos storm, use portal, at range swap to leap, hit shatter at range, portal back, leap to enemy and do a full burst.

3-Trolling: drop portal fight enemy, portal between the 2 portals and have clones up, hit a decoy. Now you impossible to tracks and can if u want use a portal in stealth.

Single target burst

Text: Shatter Cry burst (Xee burst): Summon phantasm, throw leap, dodge for a 3rd clone, Hit leap, start blade flurry, hit mindwrack, hit daze shatter, hit decoy + mirror immage + cry of frustration, swap to staff and blink out.

Shatter Vuln stack burst(15 in domination needed): Summon Phantasm, throw leap, dodge for 3rd clone, leap, hit daze shatter, hit mirror immage and sword flurry, decoy and mindwrack,hit cry, swap staff and blink out.

3 – Mobility and Movement

Cat leap:

The Cat leap is a utility and weapon skill combo who offers a fast gap closer alternative a escape. It combine swiftness from runes with blinks and weapon skills to propell you and teleport you towards a target and finaly catch it.

It can also be combined with aditional skills for tweaking, agressive use tweek is stealth and pistol stun, defensive is stealth chaos storm and sword 2 cripple.

Needed skills to do Cat leap:

-Rune of Air alt Centaur
-Blink utility
-Staff
-Sword mh

Bonus
-Pistol oh alt focus oh
-Decoy
-Mass invis

Offensive Cat Leap:

Open with trigger swiftness with a heal —-> mark a target in front of you but behind enemy —-> Blink past marked target and make sure not to close to target—-> hit staff phase retreat —-> switch to sword/x and mark enemy —-> sword cripple enemy and atack.

Bonus alternatives,

-Pistol stun before sword cripple win you longer range.
-Focus pull before sword cripple win you longer range
-Stealth before initial attack to take enemy with supprice
-Throw a chaos storm on enemy before switch to sword/x to slow enemy down + with some skill mobilice him in the storm.

Defensive Cat Leap

This is done to escape from a force that you dont want to engage. Combined with stealth and chaos storm its a close to perfect escape and save alot of deaths

What you do is basicly a Cat Leap in reverse.

Run from enemy use camera turn for mark then switch back—->Open with mark a target behind you—-> summon sword cripple to slow target down—-> dodge for immunity and aditional clone—->Use shatter immune heal for swiftness while immune and switch to staff—-> staff phase retreat and throw a chaos storm in your path—->use decoy in storm and in stealth blink in a direction away from enemy.

This create a serie of clones, chaos storm and slows on enemy, the blink at long range in stealth will drop you as target and if you aim correct you can gain with LOS the blink.

In combat juking:

In combat juking is a core game game style for al Shatter Cat builds. Its based on the setup of cd and our high burst stats. This let us deliver high dmg in spikes ~ every 8-10 sec with a stady preassure of dmg between from conditions.

The confusion left after the burst combined with Line of sight (LOS) and defensive abilitys let us wear enemys down, controll the fight and hit the low/weak when its time.

This also make the choice of targets for our burst wery important, a wasted burst (see the juking vid at 2:18) favour the oppnent. To avoid this its important to play unpredictable, mix up your rotation and utilice al shatters and skills inc daze.

I link a video, ignore first 2 solo fights, start watch at the Advance juking guide take a pen and dot the folowing times: 2:18, 2:28, 2:38, 2:48, 2:58, 3:05 —>

Pay attention to whats happening at the ~ 10 sec intervall and whats happening between. You soon find a rythm between agression and defens. You also notice the time between agression mode, the clones, conditions and phantasms preassure the enemy al time.

Well tbh al guilds who participated in the battleplan in last Gandara guild TS meeting know we planned to go full force agressive last night with XxX, Dius Judge MM www etc.

Last night was first reset in Gandara where we with force and agression went on the offensive to wipe as many enemy groups and guilds as possible. Can only talk for Gandara BL but there the server communication adn overall agression was fantastic, no defensive build siege and hold, It was " enemy group 20~ repported on postion and instantly 2 guilds went there to seek battle and hopfully wipe them.

This teamwork and communication payed off and the scores talk for them self. Also had alot of fun.

@Knackyknave, focus is great siuational wep and we always have it on our glamour confusion mesmer in the guildruns. For the shatter mesmers in our runs I prefere them to use staff and s/s as it keep them alive better when we dive deep. The shatter mesmers pack heavy survival and go deep into enemy ranks, drop payload of dmg + chaos storms, sword 2 and juke out. Same time the glamour mesmers stack confusion on enemy team and place a solid wall of feedback bubles and temporal curtain on enemys, when mele juke out they pull the curtains and any non stabiliys get interupted/knocked off.

I beleve focus have a role in group play but not on the frontline fighters.

For the optimal aoe attack wiith Shatter Cat Heavy/Phantasm Hybrid I working on a tutorial.

About the gear setup, its a great tool and ty for bring it up. I will havea loong discussion with myself as I a bit against to structured gear guides, its wery personal how you want to gear and ply even a set build. Also i dont want to suppport the feeling ppl get forced into a sertan setup, rather see ppl experement.

Tbh best use is to in a chasing mark a target you will pass, when passed it and have it behind you and target you chase infront of you hit staff 2, then insta blink and engage enemy in combat, cripple with sword.

For incombat movment its a matter of controll, if you want to climb a rock, mark any taget close to the rock, hit staff 2 and retarget what you killing.

If you fight a pet class who try to dissengae from combat hes pet often behind him. blink in between the pet and enemy, hit staff 2 and you often get in front of him in the direction he try to run.

For long distance speed increase remember you dont want to get into combat al the time as this slow you down. Mark things that our clones wont fight, butterflies, frogs rabbits etc, hit staff 2 that get you far range form it, blink after. This leav your clone 1 hit target + range make you out of combat.

Only time you use 180 camera turn to staff 2 is when you getting chased and want to mark a enemy to sprint from, a staff 2 + decoy and then blink make me survive most times I need to leg it. Just remeber to hide behind a los when stealth wear off if possible.

Well its a balance act to get maximum effect out of your gear if you use toughntess crit dmg and power in 4 of your accesesories.

High power, and high crit dmg, now prec is the best stat and easiers to increace, this why you better off with a precision stacking sigil than a power in my oppinion.

2 small thoughts.

1500-2k power 500 power is a 33% increace of your total power. The higher your power gets the more you need to gain same %. This mean that when you start climb towards 2k power a % increace in crit dmg and overall dmg is more worth.

Same as if you have wery high crit dmg and power the most valuable stat to gain is precision.

secondly, never trait for stats, trait for traits

If Gandara lack anything (we getting better on this) if I compare to desolation where we (Judge)moved from a while ago, then its agression. It suppriced me alot first times I saw a group of ppl on one side of a bridge stand and throw rocks, branches dirt and fireballs at another group facing em doing the same.

Best thing to do in most cases is to be extremly agressive and just attack. We do have several guilds who do play more agressive ofc but the general population and player base dont. Feel its one of the things the wvwv guilds of Gandara can be better @, even if we have a smal group of 5-8 ppl, attack, this will pull the unguilded with us and get it more nto the mentality of ppl. And when attacked dont stop in the enemy, puch thru em and stop on other side before run back.

Anyway, ty alot all both enemy players and Gandara ppl, had a wery wery fun week. Lots of respect to some guilds on both enemy severs, lots of resspect to the Gandara guilds who played with Judge this week.

@Westibone, idd run some sPvP is a good way to fast learn the combos and how to use the acctive defenses if its al new to you. Also glad you noticed how big difference the toughntess cavalier stats do to the shatter mesmer.

Its amazing how big difference the combo of the chavalier gear gear do. The combo of power, toughness and crit dmg supported by high crit chance allow us to play extremly agressive, deal alot of dmg and still survive well.

Feel free to test out and say how you feel in the S C Heavy with your high dmg gear

@Robin Fallon, Well I heard a rumor that you got a new mouse with many buttons on now so no more clicking Cya on friday?

@Darkwolf, Tagging in events get easier whe your dmg stat goup but sure a GS for this can help, but to be fair the group orr events are a not realy nessesery for anything in game and rather boring. Better ways for gold, karma etc. A hour in orr instead spent in fractals reward more and are 10 times more fun.

About the gear its what to aim for, work with overall balanced gear and steady inc untill you reached. If you already have a ton of exotict etc just manipulate what you use to reach something like the reccomended stats, if you still gearing up do ot balanced. Bet 1 zerker exotic and next time get a knight etc.

How you shatter is EXTREMLY situational based and one of the tings ou learn and make the biggest difference between a experienced mesmer and a mesmer who sill learning. Some times its best to get a big pile of confusion up to cc the enemy (rangers, thiefs is some cases) sometimes you daze 1 st, some thimgs ou let the phantasm and clone preassure some to fish for a immunity (warriors guardians) and as soon it wear off you burst. Its impossible for me to give a good reccomendation for order.

I will thu soon make a combo tutorial for different shatter setups, burst, cc, group attack etc.

@lokiShi, Interesting and glad you feel it work. Seem you got a nice project there. Null sigil is not something I tested, for phantasm hybrid I tend to use boonstrip on shatter if i plan on fight a guardian or d/d, for S C Heavy I often run with null field who help.

@NerdyMike, When I speak +Crit dmg I mean the ingame said bonus crit dmg. For a accended geared mesmer with a direct dmg shatter build this is one of the major stats.

Shatter Cat Original usualy have around 95-100 unbuffed (with food 105-110), Shatter Cat Heavy and Hybrid have around 90-92 unbuffed (food = 100-102).

Major reason this numbers is possible to gain is the fractals and laurel gear let you gian high + crit dmg without spec glascannon. Its the best possible gearing a shatter mesmer can get. It let us go deep and close, deal devastating dmg but still sit with 1300-1550 toughness depedning on build. With only crafted gear you will not be able to deeal the high dmg but keep most of the survival. This is why I time after time stress the need of do fractals.

@LokiShi, It look wery interesting, if you want have a thought on what kind of movment and gamestyle you would be most effetcive in. kittenter Cat in general favours high incombat juking in and out but condition builds want to be “on target” most of the time. I would guess the build would be wery wey effective in team with a bleed stacking thief abusing stealth and you do same. when target get low you switch mode and burst.

Mabye can try it out and do a vid?

@SpeakYourMind, Cheers. Well to be effective here you need to adabt to the Shatter Cat builds general philosopy. The dmg we deal come in 5-10 sec intervalls. We go in deal a high dmg spike and then we bounce out.

A condition player have high dmg output if he constantly preassure you, as long you in hes range you will need to use immunitys and avoid as many conditions as possible, some will hit you but some will land. When the dmg is landed you staff 2 /blink out + decoy, leav a few clones as preassure and use a heal, when mv on use again back to stab again.

This is how you fight any 1 vs x, tank etc. You cant survive even in Shatter Cat heavy if you stay in theri face al time.

Think of a Rapier fencer, vs a heavy armour knight in mail. He cant be in trade hits, he need to like a Mongoose fighting a snake bounce in and our deliver hes dmg.

The shatter builds you mention got nerfed still extremly viable and compared to december 14 2012 they accualy buffed.

@PlaisirCoupable, It a typo by me when I uppdated the guide for Shatter Cat Heavy, suppose to be 4/6 Berzerker. Cheers for point this out. Due to the cavalier gear from laurels and fractal there is no need for 2xknight on armour.

@Dasboba, your post made my day, ceers mate. This is exactly the kind of thinkin I try encurage. I get alot of the “exact what gear, food, collours” do you use.

Instead I want to see this kind of posts, ppl who from the 4 Shatter Cat builds develop and experement new and more effective alternatives.

A s/s setup with high crit chance and life steal based on the 10-30-0-0-30 is not something I have tested, I have tryed it on SC heavy but here the dmg is needed as the build already have a insane survival and need to get things dead.

If any It hit me it must be a bit fragile to run with only 1100 toughness, what utilitys do you use? Tobad the 25/30 dueling is a close to usless trait. Also yes 5% suppose to stack but before have a try with 5% dmg and fire proc sigil, kinda sure you with that crit chance and high crit dmg should get rather high fire dmg procs.

Keep me uppdated how your experementing go, atm I testing some tweeking of the Shatter Cat Heavy to squese even more dmg out of it, latley I been able to burst down staff tank guardians with the build in duels so its deffenetly getting better and better in dmg, just need to keep the high survival.

@Chipmunko, Pistol offers controll and some range, single target dmg and 1 phantasm on cd. I started the build with this setup but changed as the SC Heavy got used more and more in bigger fights.

S oh offers high spike dmg, 2 short cd summons, 1 phantasm and 1 clone. The dmg is higer and both clones get summoned in shatter range. Mean you can easy just after a block or a phantasm hit press mv and have same clone/phantasm folow the spike dmg up with a shatter spike.

Oh sword offers more synergies with the shatter build as it already traited, it have more clones and higer spike dmg. The additional acctive defense offers some wery strong counter attacks aswell.

Feel free to expereiment with both but I find the new setup alot stronger both in dmg and survival.

@Aturist,the 9% is realy realy good, often I create new clones as soon i shattered in a few seconds so it pendling between 3-9% defense al time.

In big fights I usualy in front line, puching thru enemy ranks and spreading as mutch aoe dmg and conditions as possible, when we get focused I dro a feedback and keep move. You dont use wep dmg alot on gig fights kittenter mesmer, youd rop chaos storms and utilitys, do sword flurry and utilitys + shatters.

Pistol strong for smal team roamning / solo, in bigger fights you better off with a sword, also to be realy effective with pistol its 10-30-0-0-30, I play 0-20-20-0-30 and 20-20-0-0-30 with s/s. I favour sword due to dmg and defense better.

@Paleeshi, its iid on sucessfull block, it also spawn a clone and the clone + block can close to 1 hit ppl as rune of air often hit aswell.

We start with the Pve/dungeons. Idd here a GS most of the time offers a stronger dmg setup than staff, on the utility side the group lose some but the base instances this is no problem. Atm GW2 exepth high lvl fractals dont offer any realy challange in dungeon pve group instances gameplay so there is alot of builds that is viable.

What is easy to look at as mesmer thu is the dmg of the weapons, this is only a part of our dmg output. A core part of our dmg (if you play shatter) come from abilitys shatters utilitys and conditions. We also offer a outstanding group support support and utility even in a dps spec. This is main reason I use staff in pve and especialy fractals. Still I also carry a GS in my bag for special situations.

For the WvWvW. Here we discuss 2 totaly different gamestyles roles of the mesmer as dps.

One is the stable dmg from the back of a team/zerg, defense build around stay out of range for amximum dmg and survival + passive defenses. This spec get less effect out of Ilusionary persona and shatters due to range.

The other is a frontline dmg spiker with high survival, build to eather lead or be part of a fast moving organiced team. Here you will with a Gs be less effective in a group or leader as a leader run in the back naturaly will pull the raid/team to be more defensive as you in general want to stay at range to do dmg.

The builds I talk for in the guide is al centered around some core abilitys, one is illusioary persona. To get maximum effetc out of this you need to be in the face of the enemy, same time the defensive options it leav make the vitality less interesting and toughness more of a core stat.

As you cant be in the face al time you need to juke in and out, deliver your dmg in bursts. This is best done with high crit and crit dmg as spike dmg>sustained dmg in pvp. For this the staff leav best utilitys and give more room to use illusionary pesona and it more suited due to its acctive defenses and chaos armour, it aslo open up room for more dpg spec on gear as you survival now is acctive.

Best explained abour group play and staff/shatter setup I think a move do. Have a look at the movment in this vid and my positioning/attacks, notice its alot in and out, dive deep to then go out, dmg dealt in bursts and group buffing utilitys/abilitys > personal dmg.

The GS have its defense on 2 major aspects, 1 passive defense (you have ~ 2,3k more hp than me in the last stats) and 2 in keep range.

The enemy know this and one of the first things for example my guid do in a attack is while in stealth drop al aoe on front then run thru and start kill rangers, staff eles and GS mesmers, tbh you are one of my core targets in a guild runs.

Last, for runes, I understand you prefere centaur if you build around GS (you dont plan on take frontline hits al time and you dont have staffs movment inc), I just again want to inflick its not one of my favorite runes and feel it take alot of the potensial away from the mesmer.

PPl talk alot after last patch about passiv speed, how to get away in a run etc etc, I claim we not build for marathons as mesmers we are sprinters and for this staff+ rune of air are a fatastic setup.

IN the end. I not criticise your build, its a viable and often used setup, I just wery far from the setup the mesmers in my team and the builds in this guide center around. The Shatter Cat builds is created to fit in other mele focused hard hitting strike teams. We center around fast movment (in combat) high spike dmg and be close to the target, run over like a train and come out on other side, turn, regroup and eather portal out or do a “2nd run over”.

Its one of the abilitys who give a random toucth to mesmers, you never realy can predict how a attack will play out. It make us extremly unpredictable and confuses the enemy alot…. tobad it do the same to us aswell lol.

Tbh its a cluster kitten but I guess as mesmers we need to learn to live with it.

A alternative fix I see would not let the clone walk/run/crawl to the target but simply spawn and use same mecanics as blink (if you cant get there by walk it fails). Also I not sure if it would be to op but if they made the tier 3 stealth trait instead of increase stealth time to instead make you invis for 1 sec after you used abilitys like blink, leap and phase retreat. Would give a interesting opening for additional playstyles (no perma invis but more target drop options.

@My Sweet Lilly, Depends on how used you are to shatter builds. I feel a phantasm hybrid with some extra vitality from food and a valkyre neclese offers most due to dmg and utility. A 25 stacks of vulnebility help the group alot plus for some situations you can use the phantasm to dps.

A SC heavy work well to, its high dmg build made for frontline combat but the high survival dps make it good for instances aswell.

Remeber to use utilitys after boss and situation, example feedback can on the dmg buffed boss do 600 k of dmg if you stack sme vuln aswell

I seccond Pyro, my favorite move tbh in a 1 vs x or group vs group is down a a player, prefered aeasy target lovbie, ranger etc, then save burst and as soon recive get started land a full Mv , blurred and end with a chaos storm. Fantastic results.

If you just after stop there is several reliable ways.

-GS knockback
-Focus pull
-Pistol stun
-Chaos storm daze
-Stun sigil
-daze utility (azura)

and my favorites

-Illusonary persona shatter daze (instant)
-Oh sword block nr 2 range daze.

Hi.

Thing is we al get outplayed by somone, some ppl prefere to go qq and rant about it. Personaly I do more feel a deep resspect for ppl who kick my butt in a spectacilar way and they should have creed.

This morning I logged on borderlands for some roaming, did my normal run and as always I got some /w from ppl I know or who that have something on ther mind. This person send a really cherry good morning whisper, asked some questions but mesmers and I started chatt. I hide behind the windmill and he asked what I was up to. Told him I standing chatting, just did hide to not get ganked.

Dint have time to send last mess before I got totaly chewed and spat out, a thief appered and kicked my kitten so fast and I who was typing …

Next wisper was HAHAHHAHAHAHHA Owned. It turned out the thief was chatting with me, had recogniced my guild name and started stalk me untill I was in the discussion and hidden…. That was mabye the best assasination I seen in gw2.

@Eperian, I leaning towards the preci crit power (zerker) as the new cavalier neclese now exists. If you already have the cavilier back just go for the berzerker neclese. I feel that with 2 rings 1 nec and a backpeace the toughness vs preci get unbalanced. I rather see 3 valaier 1 zerker.

In end, keep a health crit chance (50% + with food and oil + sigil stacks), a good toughness (1300~hybrid 1500+staff heavy) and as high crit dmg as possible 100+%.

@Linus The One, yes with time and planning its possible to get most of the condition gear idd by d dungeons. I stress the cost as if you have no gear and just dinged 80 alternative play a crit setup wvwvw mesmer it will take alot of work to eather grind tookens or gold to get the gear. So you have to pay one way or a other, gold or time.

I personaly reccomed do fractals if you havent, the fractal rings are so strong that put your dungeon time on do the lvl 10 and 20 to gain 2 x rings is wery important. You also gain gold by do this runs. To both do 2xfractals and additional stances is more work than most ppl want / have time to do.

For food prec 10% crit and crit dmg oil idd. This as the more caviler gear you gain the more you need additional crit chance. Why I added the 5% crit sigil to the SC heavy aswell.

I getting the cavalier, toughness, crit dmg and power, in my oppinion the strongest setup for crit shatter mesmers in wvwvw, Il get the prec, power crit dmg aswell later for instances.

Hi, no air have shorter swiftness upptime. What you gain for this thu is in a high crit build is more crid dmg (who scale better with higher gear lvls) and a wery strong dmg spike in terms of lightning proc, hits for 3-6 k. The proc give a superb defense vs glascannons and especialy thiefs as it hit em before they visual.

I played with air sens september, with staff blink and air runes I have no problems keep track with my team. I use cat leap + swiftness to do sprints.
