Arenanet has already made it so literally anyone who shows up and plays can get Ruby, and now we have a bunch of whiners complaining that they are being prevented from getting Legendary due to the mysterious phenomenon of “MMR hell”, or rather “Trust me, I’m a good player, Arenanet just puts me with a bunch of bads all the time”. I’ve seen the types of players in Diamond and Ruby and most of them are flat out terrible and should grow up and learn to accept that maybe, just maybe, if they are losing lots of games, and having trouble getting to Legend, that the responsibility resides with them, not with their teammates.

same. but my loss ratio is allways by 1 bigger then wins now. Bleeding the pips slowly but steadily over the last 3 days. The thing is my previous random people i have been matched up with and myself were doing something right if i made it to t5, but now i seem to be matched with people who lack common sense or they just…idunno. rank has nothing to do with any kind of skill whatsoever. It’s a nerverecking game of grind nothing more in which you depend on mmr and 4 other people who aren’t doing dishes and vacuuming in the same time as they play a match.

i flew trough ruby, diamond is making me hate pvp. I’m at t5 with 4 pips, i win one i lose one i win one i lose one i win one i lose one. It is stressfull.

getting to legendary is not skill based, it’s about how long can you endure before you stick a pen in you eye while laughing maniclly.

I arrived half an hour early. Seeing as I have only done it once since we got the new sha I was asking questions …. no answers, no instructions. When it started I switched over to the combat tab (my norm during a boss fight, I want to see if my hits are landing but no time for chit-chat). Afterwards I switched my tab back and saw how toxic the chat (really? ppl have time to talk during battle?) had been. All sorts of complaining people were not doing one thing or another. I was playing a ranger and one thing was that rangers were not doing such-and-such …. well, it would have been handy if I knew to do it.

Is hat always like that now in map chat? When I am commanding at a boss fight I instruct first. I am not saying I would not get a bit testy the 10th time I have said the same thing in prep and the fight was a few minutes away with nobody listening (“umm, ppl, if nobody does defense teq will fail”), but these are things nobody had said before the event started.

if only there is a place where you can type in something you want to research and it gives you various solutions in matter of seconds.

Our daily lvl 2 swamp fractals runs are most IMPORTANT AND SERIOUS THING IN THE ENTIRE GAME! I mean, it’s really impossible to actually fail one of these as long as you can dodge out of some orange circles and autoattack, but I’ve done the math and the existence of your upleveled character in our group with the stat loss from your non-ascended armor adds exactly 4.37 extra seconds to run.

That’s COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! That’s 4.37 extra seconds you are keeping me away from obtaining the purely cosmetic item that hasn’t even been released yet and will one day clearly demonstrate how superior I am, because of my ability to do lvl 2 swamp runs over and over again with 4.37 seconds better efficiency!

got genesis from golem world boss,sold for 20 gold.

anton’s boot blade sold for 50 gold,drop from pvp.

torch precursor off random throwing rares in mf, sold for 85 gold

the mace precursor from dredge fractal, sold for 300gold

about 15 ascended armor chests, and 6 weapon chests, all from fractals in a span of 2.5 years, 1 wep chest dropped in pvp

about 100ish rings from fractals that made me a bit of money once i salvaged.

Have 2 legedarys, storm and minstrel all made pre HoT and all these drops were pre HoT, only pvp ascended box was post HoT.

and i allways tought i had a bad luck because some people that i play with have like their 13th pre dropped and i’m here sitting on a barely 100 gold. But i realised i would have at least 7 legendarys in gold value i spent on vanity items from tp, total makeovers, outfits, armors, gliders and bl keys.

So i don’t pitch about it i earned every single copper in game but it’s my fault i don’t spend my gold more efficiently like my wealthy friends do.

yes i am thrilled when a lvl 60 joins a cliffside above lvl 50 with 0 ar and 0 idea what to do.

just other day i had to kick a guy who was lvl 80 with 1k something AP despite we stated 5k ap in lfg. Reason was arrogant behaviour and taking whisps whithout even saying go to other players or saying anything really. After kick he whispered me why kick? Well little fella, i explained, there is something called common curtesy and respect to other 4 people who are in the team with you. He kept joining lfg and we kept kicking him it was really awkward.

Nice!! I was one pip away from diamond yesterday then got farmed by 2+ necro for the remainder of the night. Back to T4.

Just don’t look at pips dude, trust me. Don’t look at that popup after a match just think you play for transmitation charges. Especially if you are closing on higher division. Papa bless.

Before you throw money at it, I think the 18 skin is only for the first tier of the achievement. For the mastery point, I think you have to buy ALL the cultural skins. So if you’re doing it for the whole tier of the achievement (and for the mastery point), it will take a lot of money.

at least google before spreading false information. 18 per race and that’s it. Light, medium or heavy, it doesn’t matter. Just have a whole set of that tier. Not sure if you can mix and match tiers but i’m sure it’s possible also.

You need to purchase all 90 cultural armors for the mastery point and the title. The one spreading misinformation is you. It’s a very expensive mastery point, costing 644G and 90S unfortunately.

these items are solbound on buy, so when you purchase it, you’ll get a little pop up on top of your mini map, meaning it was unlocked in the warderobe forever without wearing it.

imagine if gliders were worn like backitems, i would poke my eye out in game and proceed to do the same irl while uninstalling the game.

i don’t recall the exact name of this story part, but i remember this beautifull crystall map, and on the final boss you battled golem made of crystall and you had to be attuned to specific colour to beat the golem. It would be shame if that map stays only for story purpuse, it’s big and interesting and battle machanic is different.

I’m not a hc player, there is still so much room for improvement, but if i’m going to suck, i would like to suck because i’m a bad player with no skill, not bacause half of the time i can’t see or hear green skull (sometimes i don’t even get the massage i’m the tank).

I don’t know if i’m one of those people who just can’t pay attention enough, even when i was stuned to find out there is a option that lets you expand your field of view, with that maxed out i have a hard time seeing the green skull that is like 3 meters above my chars head. When doing the sloth boss, which is inside the cave, the camera tends to not go that high and gets stuck in oddest places when you tank, can we get a skull that is something like the skull of a jade maw fractal, nice, low and big, and not tiny green skull one kilometar above the charracters head?

Yesterday i logged on on my necro in vb and there were were 2 chests on the bottom of my screen. I opened them not knowing what was that for, i looked in my inventory, but there were no chests there. So i was told that was for pvp bronze rank me and my pvp team obtained during ranked. Where did that go? Not in our guild decoration,not in our guild…well anything. What was that for and where did it go? Was that a bug?

Ah, story of….well anyone anywhere. You did not read, and were doing something for the first time with no experience which is meant for 5 ppl, run in and died over 9000. Then proceed to qq on the forum when you couldn’t solo group content and ignored what everyone said in the thread providing more nonsense information you figured out yourself without checking anything. I have a feeling that even before your downed state skill bar appears you press 2 in frenzy. That results in mist form. When you press mist form, combat log says you heal yourself to full health because you tehnicaly are not downed, but after 3sec of mist form you get to down state again reciving full dmg (the amount of health you have). Like danikat wrote.
