I don’t see how open world dueling effects people who don’t want it. just give them a box in options so they can auto-ignore duels, and let those of us who wants it, have it. please:D

If something like this ever did go live, I’d also like the option to make duelers and their gawkers invisible. I don’t need y’all cluttering up the world with duels either.

Oh man. I love Orr the way it is. I love feeling all alone while trying not to aggro enemies so I can get a good shot. I love traveling through and taking pictures and looking up the history. It’s an amazing place I know I’m in the minority here though.

I’ll just have to enjoy it while I can.

Just report them and be done with it. If they’d been smart they would have just let you get your daily and get out. Why’d you have to do crab toss though? This was an easy day.

I think if there’s an event in the game, then everybody should be able to get something from it. It’s a fun event and people like getting stuff. Now, that being said there should also be rare items that everybody can’t get as well. Why can’t we have both? Rare items and items everyone can get from these events.

If I’m reading the event page right, it looks like that’s exactly what happening with Dragon’s Bash.

Neverwinter may have a even better blend. There you have soft targeting, but can hold down a key (or via custom bind make it toggled) to lock your target for a while. Also, the ground targeting initially snaps to your soft target, but can be moved by moving the crosshair around.

I really really wish we had some kind of target lock feature in GW2.

They solve it the way that you will never see a sylvari engineer NPC and almost no norn thieves.

Well not sure about norn thieves but there is a sylvari engineer in Orr. She takes care of that big air ship that Captain Skyfire has. It’s Engineer Kahlee.

Sounds just like the nuzlocke challenge in pokemon. If they can get rid of their pokemon themselves, I’m sure you can man up too.

Wow that’s so crazy. I’m on NSP and I see a fair number of people. Do you check out LA? We usually have loads of people at the temple runs every night too. So many that people complain about it all the time actually. Lately there haven’t been as many there but that’s just since the SSC patch came down so I just figured everyone’s been there.

We also used to have tons of people doing the meta events but that’s gone down. Rares aren’t what they used to be really. Get’s boring after a while. Queensdale’s usually packed especially when SB’s up. That’s just dumb now.

I have to admit though, other zones don’t have nearly as many people. I feel like everybody’s just in Queensdale, LA, SSC, and Orr. Otherwise I see maybe 3 or 4 people in other zones. No clue of other servers have more people in those other zones.

Oh, all this is based on Eastern time zones at prime time. During the day it can get fairly dead.

I agree with what you’ve said Aeon, but what about individualized loot and gathering nodes, and shared experience with other players in the world, even when you’re not grouping, and level scaling so you can go back and play in any zone in the game and still have some payoff.

Individualized loot/gathering nodes and shared exp alone are what will keep me in Guild Wars 2. I am so sick of fighting every other player for resources. It’s just not how I want to play an mmo anymore.

Those people who spend all the money on those boxes and keep spending all the money on the boxes even when they get nothing? Those guys pay for the game so I don’t have to :P

Just try not to let those “rare” items get to you. I just ignore them. If it gets to be where all the new stuff comes from those boxes I’ll just find something else to play. Until then I’ll play off the rich kids.

I agree. Why would you want to be friends with these guys? They stole virtual currency from some poor guild. That’s so hilariously lame on so many levels. These guys are just sorry people. Even when you quit GW in the future why would you want these guys to follow you?

I see the GS everywhere. I’m pretty amazed it’s still at so high on the TP. Running around Queensdale I see lots of them in the pack. I did have someone ask me where I got mine though so who knows? Maybe they’ll stay high priced as newbies see them and want them?

We’ve done Grenth on my server ( we did them all actually, even Arah). It really wasn’t that bad. There were definitely more downed players than usual though. I don’t think it’s nearly as bad as y’all are saying.

Actually Curo, many times before we even start several of the temples are uncontested already. When we do things out of order, that’s the reason. It definitely doesn’t take a zerg

I always do the one at the Tamini portal site(since no one ever wants to) and I’ve never had a problem running back for SB even in prime time.

And yeah, there’s no point in trying to do all of them. Those go down faster than SB as long as someone’s there.

I don’t do maw so I can’t comment on that.

This is the biggest one for me. I think just adding these two things would go a long way to fix the issue of unwanted stalking.

I would (lol NOT because they’re designed well haha) but because I like the social aspect. When I heard all the changes to the loot and times I wasn’t happy but I realized I never got anything good anyway and that’s about the same as not getting anything. My only change would be because of waypoint fees. The crap chests at least pay for that usually. Otherwise I wouldn’t travel too far for them.

I do them because they’re fun. I love doing the massive battles with all the other players. Hanging out with the people before hand is a lot of fun and that’s how I met most of my friends here. I just wish the fights were longer and required a bit more strategy. My favorite big events are the temples in Orr and I wish the dragons needed at least the bit of planning needed for some of those.

I’ve never gotten anything all that great in terms of loot from these things. I just really love the group activities.

I think 10$ would be way to much to spend on a skin, for me at least. I think I’d be more comfortable between 2-5.

I’m positive this RNG method nets them more money. There are many posts of people complaining that they spent hundreds of dollars on these boxes but didn’t get anything or only got one or whatever. You think these people will ever stop? I’m sure a few will but plenty will keep spending the money to get that little coupon. I’m thankful for them myself. Means I keep getting to experience the free content without spending my money. They pay for me.

I really love it too OP. I don’t have guild wars 1 but ever since I saw someone wearing it I’ve been seriously considering buying it to get this armour.

I’m just giving you a reason someone may have reported you. “Old” people do play this game and it may still have a negative connotation to some.

I guess the best thing you can do is contact support and explain your reasons for naming your character and that you didn’t think it was derogatory. I still don’t understand the straight ban instead of just asking you to rename your character. I think that’s the bigger issue.

I still think there may be something else going on though. Again, my friend only had to change his name when he was reported. There was no ban.

The people I’ve known who had inappropriate names only had to change their name. Not sure what’s going on with the OP.

I like seeing them myself but it would be good to have an option for those that want it.

Agreed. I suppose they just wanted it as an “oops” fixer or for people who changed their characters’ gender. It seems like you can only use it once per character anyway?
