Ugh, I hate Lion’s Arch.
I’m using Rata Sum as my home base as the bank, guild bank, trading post, repairs and normal bank are all very close to each other. I happen to run back and forth between bank(s) and TP a lot when organising my inventories.
Also, the laurel vendor is right next to a waypoint.
I only go to LA for my daily activity, the mystic forge (which I only use for dailies), to access fractals (and I think that portal should probably be in Rata Sum…), and in the rare case I am looking for a specific banner.
On topic, though – How to populate racial capitals:
- either give all amenities to all capitals,
- or give each city one special thing; i.e. the MF is in LA, fractals portal in Rata Sum, activity NPC in Hoelbrak, etc.

No problem with the infinite continue coin. Ask yourself: Would you buy this, if this was a kickstarter game with Steam early access?
Great perspective. Funny, I was just talking about this with a buddy of mine who also loves SAB. We would buy SAB as a standalone game on Steam right now for $10 easy. All 4 worlds completed? $15-20. Less than that for an ICC in a fully developed MMO where I have already paid for and played the heck out of the rest of the game? Yes please!
I was thinking the same.
I haven’t run out of normal continue coins yet, but I will absolutely buy the infinite coin, if only to support the idea of the SAB.
Well done ANet, allowing your devs, designers and writers this degree of freedom for their creativity.

I’d rather see continue coins as daily rewards as an incentive for players to check out the SAB, but since those already drop in PvE aplenty, I don’t really see the need.

Am I the only one who found world 1 in normal mode… hard enough?
It sounds wrong now that I can speedrun through it with my eyes closed, but getting all achievements (collecting all baubles… glitch jumps… corner jump around root… moto’s breath… e_e) took me some sweet time.
Everybody is now talking about how much of a breeze world 1 was, how lighthearted and low-key and what not, an example for “too easy” – I didn’t feel that way at the time at all!
… maybe I’m the only one.

I’m still dreaming a dream of mapping the SAB (into… a map) – we didn’t get very far with world 1 last time as we only started working on it just before it was removed, but in world 2 I don’t even see how it would be possible :P

I have come back to this thread to clarify one thing, well, I can really only speak for myself and maybe my boyfriend, but I do believe that many feel this way:
We criticize because we’re huge SAB fans and we want more SAB. We want to enjoy the frakk out of the SAB for as many blissful hours as we can afford in September. If we can keep the “challenging” up with the “rage quit inducing frustration” going down, then we can maximize this quality SAB time.
We yell at you because we love you!

There will be no lasers/golems if someone beat it before hand, and it hasn’t reset yet.
I fight the golems every single time, but last night (after a year of playing!) I saw the lasers for the first time. :P

It is all I found.
The only other thing that comes to mind is reading the new short story on the main page. ^^
~ Whips ~ City Minigames ~ City Jumping Puzzles ~
The golems have always been there, but the many horizontal and vertical yellow lasers that spawn along with them I’ve seen for the first time today. (Not cannons, and not the two horizontal lasers at the end chest – they don’t do anything.)
These never spawned for me before, and I’ve run this particular jumping puzzle a lot.
~ Whips ~ City Minigames ~ City Jumping Puzzles ~
So, dear devs, when did Spekk outfit his lab with death lasers, and why is this not in the release notes?
By the way, when you die in the lasers, the bots don’t beam you to one of the stations – you have to waypoint and run all the way back. Is this intended?

How do the Dig spots in SAB work now?
in Super Adventure Box: Back to School
Posted by: Pixelpumpkin.4608
You can dig anywhere at all and randomly get nothing / 1 bauble / hostile bunny.
If you dig in specific spots, you find treasures – it could be a green / yellow / purple / red bauble or several baubles (if you know where to dig!)
The changes made between April and September:
- In April only one person had to dig and all in the party could pick up the bauble(s), now every person has to dig in the same spot for themselves in order to pick them up.
- In April the baubles spawned directly, and now it is a chest animation.
- In April the dig spot in the water below the fern in world 1, zone 2 spawned a bauble worth 50, it is now 20.
- Edit Digs were removed from infantile mode. They still work in normal mode.
That’s all the changes I found so far.

(edited by Pixelpumpkin.4608)
The baubles you get in world 1 are enough for the torch and the flute.
I got 500 in one run of world 1, got the torch, and I had ignored almost all chests.

I can’t always dedicate hours at a time to GW2, and it would really, really, really help if we could start playing at unlocked checkpoints rather than the start of each zone, in all modes. That way I could focus on a smaller chunk at a time and progress in the SAB even when I “only” have an hour to play in the evening.
.I would like this too. I think we don’t have a way to store that information on your character though.

One tiny bit of feedback:
I don’t mind the difficulty of either normal mode or tribulation mode so much – it all seems fine, and fun. My problem is that you have to start over at the beginning of a zone after logging (or even after a disconnect) which makes stages that you have already beaten nothing but a massive timesink.
I can’t always dedicate hours at a time to GW2, and it would really, really, really help if we could start playing at unlocked checkpoints rather than the start of each zone, in all modes. My feedback after the first 4 (?) hours of SAB:
Did world 2 in infantile mode, just to get to know the terrain a little bit before doing it “properly”, and found it really bloody difficult (considering it was baby mode). From what I’ve seen, I think I can beat normal mode, but I’m already asking myself whether it is worth putting in as many hours of my life as it will take. I don’t mean this in a snarky way.
I 100%ed world one achievements last time and couldn’t wait for SAB to return, so I’m not exactly a total beginner.
We also looked at world 1, zone 1 tribulation mode. Never made it past the second checkpoint. I love the concept, enjoyed the time spent in there so far, and would really like to find all the paths without guides, but again, I don’t think I can do that with the time I have.

So how do I afford things like the candle (which appearantly you need to progress)? I’m using a lot of my bubbles on coins. What’s the best way to get some extra?
We speed-ran world 1 today (remembering some of the dig spots and lucrative chests) and made 500 baubles, then used those to afford the torch and flute in world 2 zone 3. Don’t know if that helps.
If you’re still working on world 1: there’s guide out there (dulfy…) that show you lots of secret spots with hidden baubles.

Because then the daily reward will seem to be just a mystic coin and some silver. This will make the reward for the daily appear to be less for the same amount of work. The karma gain will at be the same either way but most people won’t notice it if it’s just added, especially if they are new and not expecting a karma gain.
That makes little sense to me; silver is added to the wallet directly, too. Karma would be no different.
There’s nothing stopping ANet from still displaying an icon on the daily success message that pops up.

I did 2 invasions tonight.
- Overflow Lornar’s Pass – failed
- Overflow Blazeridge Steppes – succeeded
So… impossible it is not. Luck-based and largely out of your own control, yes.
I’m on Tarnished Coast, although since both servers were overflows, I guess that doesn’t matter at all.
~ Whips ~ City Minigames ~ City Jumping Puzzles ~
I have the opposite problem.
I 100%ed the map together with my boyfriend. Towards the end we rushed it a little bit, I wish I would have taken it a lot slower. Exploration was my favourite part of the game.
I loved standing in official and unofficial vista spots and admiring the landscapes, taking in the athmosphere. Also did dynamic events wherever they happened and wherever they took me, and got a real “feel” for each zone that way.
Now I’m casually working towards a legendary, but only because there is nothing left for me to explore :’-(
I still hope that Orr & Southsun get hearts and more POIs/vistas in the future.
~ Whips ~ City Minigames ~ City Jumping Puzzles ~
If that was true, than disconnects (and re-connects through joining your original party) would not result in people missing out on their rewards.
~ Whips ~ City Minigames ~ City Jumping Puzzles ~
The only application that I can see is to save them up when you’re just before hitting an AP milestone that will give you a permanent +1% karma bonus.
But it really, really doesn’t seem worth it.
So yeah, they really should do away with karma containers (and I thought I’d rad somewhere that they will).
~ Whips ~ City Minigames ~ City Jumping Puzzles ~
I joined invasions within the 10 minute period and got credit for every single one, except for the one time when I DC’ed in the middle of it and re-joined my party (which is bad, but a separate subject).
I have notices though that while in the beginning, the “the invasion is taking place in so-and-so” notice went down after the initial 10 minutes, in the last few days I have seen the invasions advertised WELL into the full hour – I can see how that would confuse people who then joined an overflow at, say, half past the hour, and the invasion isn’t taking place in that overflow.
