Is there established lore why clothing in Tyria is so human centric?
(I know the irl reason but just curious about in game)

“We were able to confirm that the Heart of Maguuma is a region that will consist of multiple maps. Colin said that with this region they are focusing on the depth of the experience, not on creating a whole bunch of maps that you tear through quickly and leave a wasteland of unused content with no long term value.”Well, they said that there will be multiple maps in the zam interview, so by definition, that’s at least 2. I’m guessing something around 3 new zones, but with the 3 levels, which is kinda like 3 zones in one, so that would be the equivalent of 9 zones as far as I’m concerned. That sounds like a pretty good size to me.
I’d be cool with that. The equivalent of 9 zones would be pretty nice.
Obviously I want as much area to explore as possible. It’s one of my favorite things to do in game. I really like the world they have created and want to see as much of it as possible.

All classes at lvl 80
78+ tomes of knowledge
Materials for an ascended heavy armorThat is my to do list, I’m working on my 3rd item.
they said you cant get Revanent to 80 instant.
You mean we can’t use ToK on them?
That seems a little unfair considering all the other professions can.
:(
Read my post again Moldur. I’ll assume English is not your first language.
I know everyone has different expectations on what they want in an expansion but for me it breaks down like this.
$60 = 10 new zones worth of content.
$40 = 7 new zones worth of content.
$20 = 4 new zones worth of content.If you got a different opinion fine. Post it up. I’d love to see what your expectations are or if you can just criticize others.
Correct, English is not the first language in Sweden, yet an issue in your grey matter seems to interfere with the content of your own writing.
You assume 1 zone is equivalent to a certain amount of money, I just wanna laugh but it would give you too much attention. Like “zone” is some kind of universal unit of measure.
The community wants good content. If you are after the number of maps, I heard Minecraft has endless amounts at an endless size. My opinion would count into the community’s.
I know the zones maintain an approximate size in comparison to one another.
My assumption was that most people in the community would understand that when I posted. As far as I can tell most did… save one or so.
The money I’m willing to pay for an expansion is connected to the amount of explorable space I’m offered. Is it the only consideration? No. But the topic of this thread wasn’t about those features. So I didn’t mention them. Stay on topic friend.
And I love Minecraft. :P
I expect no less than 10 zones for an expansion.
They all don’t need to be as deep as the ones they have shown in trailers though. If they are I suppose 5 would be reasonable. However, I would be disappointed and assume the price would be half that of a larger expansion.
Goodluck with that expectation. I expect you to be disappointed.
I expect Anet to do things on a grand scale because I still have faith in the game. If you don’t that’s your business.
I hope you get dissapointed, saying that you want x and y number of zones just cus you want many is a clear sign that you are spoiled and naive. If you had 1 zone the size of 10, would you still complain? Yes. Why? Because you are obsessed with the number.
The new area size is irrelevant as long as it has high quality and lots of content. They can have a smaller area, yet make it feel bigger than the whole world so far combined. It’s not about the size, it’s how they use it.

I am going to try and get a level 80 of each profession. I only got a few left so I’m fairly confident.
I also plan on helping my friends get at least one character to 80 just in case all the zones are max level.

Dear ArenaNet
I haven’t always played your game constantly, but I did play it for a long time after release, and the HoT announcement brought me crawling back. That’s because though I got bored at times I believe that the mechanics of your game are still fun and can create entertaining content, plus I can’t resist a game whose content focuses on game lore.
One of the best things I heard from HoTs announcement is new <Legendary Weapons, with questlines to get Precursors (the one reason I never obtained a Legendary in the game currently), so to make sure this feature is perfect, I appeal to you…….PLEASE DON’T MAKE THE WEAPON MODELS GIMMICKy AGAIN
Compared to games like TERA, WOW and Wildstar, I believe that GW2s art style is definitely more “earthy”, focusing on detail and somewhat realism against stylization (hence why half of your equipment models look like plain old armor), because of this disco balls, unicorns and confetti pistols simply don’t fit.
I’m not saying there’s no humour in the game, or that you can’t have humour, I just believe the tone you yourselves have set for GW2 is better suited for action and drama first and humour second.And I also believe this sort of style takes away from the sense of empowerment players should feel by having them, I believe that they want to show off to others how dedicated and skilled they are for taking the time to make the weapon by looking distinct and kitten, not goofy.
Please ArenaNet, leave the gimmicky styles in the Gem Store for the eccentrics who will buy them, and focus on making Legendary weapons look not only distinct, but kitten, and fitting with the tone GW2 is trying to set. I’m pretty sure that you’ll make a lot of people happy
Agree 100%
Well said OP.
Mount will never happen…
Too late we already got 3 and it looks like we are getting another one with HoT.
They are crappy versions of them compared to other games but they are still technically mounts.
Looks good OP!
:)
I found this by the Imperator’s Waypoint in the Black Citadel. Look next to my right hand in the picture below. Any idea on what this is?
Know what cannot be known dear Charr.
I would love to be able to adjust my UI more.
How would ANet benefit from this, people being able to switch and get items ANet is trying to sell?

Revenant the final nail in Ritualists coffin?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: Prophet.6257
I could see Ritualist as either a Necro or Revenant specialization.
So in essence you could still get them.
Good I hate BG…
lol j/k.
Seriously though have him/her try during non-peak hours. Should do the trick.
Stronghold of Ebonhawke
We usually get a pretty empty instance and it’s got everything we need.
Level 20 scroll.
+ Crafting
+ Ambient grind fest.
+ Level 70 -80 using ToK
Hopefully we get another double XP weekend and I’m able to power level him up quickly.
well the logic is flawless ofc
but after more than 3 accounts total… it might be a bit annoying to log into everyone of them everyday and type in a different e-mail everytime…^^
but it is definitly worth it to buy 1-2 extra accounts
for the gold alone already
and you have another account… which you can use to troll friends and guild by acting dumb …like make a new account with new names… try to join the same PvE guild that you represent with your main account
ask them to show you dungeons because “you are new” ^^and DO ALL OF THE POSSIBLE MISTAKES!
—> push enemies out of AOE
—> link cleric gear
or link condi stats on full melee weapons… xD
—> use mega weapon combinations… like double mace & hammer on warrior
—> do NOT stack in the corner
—> use a longbow all the time… and if someone tells you that longbow is not good for dungeons… tell him you are legolas so you have to use longbow!
he has to understand that ofc!have fun seeing the reactions… and the supressed anger of your friends… who try to act patient while you KNOW they are not hahaha:D

I’d summon Gaile Gray’s former frog avatar.
This.
I was going to post some big detailed list but I would love some skill at least for the Revenant that gave a nod to this.
Well done redux. +1
I still think we’ll get a few new races someday. Maybe in the Gem store or something.
For now though the expansions looks amazing.
Here’s what I’d like:
Engineer = ???
Necromancer = Wraith
Guardian = Paragon
Warrior = Dervish
Mesmer = Chronomancer
Elementalist = Archemage
Thief = Assassin
Revenant = Ritualist
Ranger = Druid
But I’m a big GW1 fan so this may be a little too nostalgic. If so:
Engineer = ???
Necromancer = Wraith
Guardian = Zealot
Warrior = Berserk
Mesmer = Chronomancer
Elementalist = Archemage
Thief = Assassin
Revenant = Ritualist
Ranger = Druid
Does not affect instances. Here’s how to get the most out of it:

You’re awesome Karizee! Ty.
:)
Has anyone tested this to see if Dungeons grant double XP?
5 times in a row now.. tf???
anet… come on now.
Surprised no one’s recommended Edge of the Mists yet. It’s where a lot of the derailed Queensdales went after the champ nerf. Or is that only for WXP and karma?
I’ve touched it once in the past year (because dailies), so I don’t actually know. =PIf the double XP applies to XP from events, then EOTM would be a great place to go.
If that is the case, you can expect to gain 10 levels per hour if you’re equipped with full xp-boosting (and have the farming genes activated). Basically 1-80 in 8 hours EotM.
That would be awesome. I could have my second account maxed out this weekend and my buddies would have their mains ready to go.
If it’s anything other than an expansion.
The Rage Train will be on its way to Tyria.
If HoT is an expansion I’ll probably buy 2 more copies of the game. That price is great for creating mules.
Dungeons award 3/4 of a level’s worth of xp for completing, so this weekend they’ll offer a level and a half. If you don’t mind repetition, you and your friends could run AC story mode a lot.
I very much doubt that.
It will most likely just be xp for kills.
:(
If that’s the case we could just farm yellow tags with birthday and xp boosters I suppose.
I really hope the Dungeon paths thing works as expected though.
I usually just play the game and gain levels like that but I use to farm champs in Queensdale to power level.
So with the double XP weekend I was wondering what people do to level quickly now?
I’d like to get the most out of this weekend since a lot of my friends are coming back to level up characters they abandoned a year or so ago.
I want a collectable card game inside of GW2 as part of a Collection Achievement
Somethign that works similar like Triple Triad, which works also as Ingame Activity
Make enemies drop Cards from themself as part of their rarer lootJust as a side note ^^
Wait…
Would we be able to actually play the card game in game?
OP
When I first started playing GW2 I loved the high max level. After going through several characters and helping friends level I agree with you. Reducing it to 20 would allow me to play and enjoy the game more than grinding levels.
And I know “levels aren’t important in this game, blah blah blah” But the amount of gold wasted buying crap gear and missing key game features is a bit annoying.
One thing I will say about a high level cap is I do get a strong feeling of accomplishment when I hit 80.
I would especially if it was digital like Hearthstone.
New races.
New large maps (like double the size/number)
New classes.
New weapon types.
New personal story (or continuing the LS as a replacement for it)New game.
Like it felt when Nightfall and Factions released for GW1.
So long as they keep the core of what the game is. Action combat. Beautiful graphics. Fun lore. Diverse characters. Etc.
New races.
New large maps (like double the size/number)
New classes.
New weapon types.
New personal story (or continuing the LS as a replacement for it)
I want Kodan and Tengu…
:)
I’d pay up to $60 depending on how big of an expansion it was.
Double the game size, double the cost. I’m fine with that. But if they want to give it to us cheaper then cool. So long as they don’t produce less just to have it cost less.
Everyone is missing the obvious…..
Fishing
This would make me so happy.
That and player controlled boats to sail out with. :P
:)
I Think i see a Margonite at 00:29!
The Margonites are all dead. It’s not a Margonite. It’s either a Mursaat or a Seer.
Seers are all dead too aren’t they?
I’m fine either way as long as we get:
New races.
New large maps (like double the size/number)
New classes.
New weapon types.
New personal story (or continuing the LS as a replacement for it)
I mean as long as the quality is good and all. I’m confident it would be at this point. The last few LS were pretty good. And the way this most recent one ended…
Wierd how this didnt make it over here yet.. but the plot thickens
http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/2s9jp8/ncsoft_registers_trademarks_for_guild_wars_2/
Wow, that could be pretty cool.
I want an Expansion.
Meaning:
New races.
New large maps (like double the size)
New classes.
New weapon types.
New personal story (or continuing the LS as a replacement for it)
But I agree with Vayne, “The problem is the lack of communication from Anet.” But maybe this will be remedied with PAX South.
I imagine an entire thread of things like this. I’ll start one myself asking people to post their favorite disappointment gif if so.
Attachments:
If it turns out to be anything less than an expansion or an expansion’s worth of content I would love to see people just stone faces stand up and walk out of the room without saying a word.
No throwing trash or boos but complete silence and then the entire crowd dissipates right in the middle of the conference.
If it is an expansion (or its equivalent) then I hope the crowd throws money and flowers at them.
Will race change be available ever?
In all honesty I really doubt Anet will do this any time soon — if ever.
I’d love to have it and can see how it is really a primarily cosmetic decision but there does seem to be a large amount of development required to actually pull something like this off. I just don’t see them being willing/able to put the time required in it to do it.

“When it’s finished.”
Wait, nm I think it’s the 13th.
lol
