Accidentally did this to a Warrior on Khylo a few weeks back when he came to kill our treb. Shot him so that he was stuck halfway in the wall, and he was helpless to escape. It occurred to me that I could have just left him there to make the rest of the match a 5v4, but for the sake of sportsmanship, I just went for the mercy kill instead.

I’m not sure how new this wall glitch is, but PvP in general has been buggy for me since the last update. There have been several occasions where I’ve respawned in the enemy base, and if I’m testing new builds in hotjoin, I can expect to get volunteer notifications to transfer to the team I’m already on. Hoping we’ll see some fixes before HoT.

I also had that on kyhlo once, but it was inside the houses you jump on to get to the clocktower ledge. Also if someone just left me there, I’d just relog.

A build came close (but didn’t) to beating the currently OP mesmer, therefore it must also be OP and needs to be nerfed!

Mesmer downed #1 actually does more direct damage than thief downed #1, that’s not even including the confusion.

Also, being called a noob when I get +1d during a 1v1 that I was winning or stalemating anyway. I can’t help it if my teammate comes…

What’s the most ridiculous reasons you’ve had for being called a noob (from either team)?

From the enemy team:
Using heartseeker+steal to finish someone off behind a wall (“omg stealth noob”, continuted to whisper me about how stealth is OP even though I didn’t use stealth)
Using trebuchet for half the match (they didn’t dodge a single shot)

From my own team:
Defending my decision not to lord rush 2 minutes into the game after losing the initial team fight (lol we need more score noob)
Stealing an enemy NPC and killing the person who attacked it, then going down from conditions (omg noob you died to npc)
Saying to regroup on home rather than suiciding 1v3 mid (omg noobs why are you all at home and I’m the only one mid)
Dying before a match starts (I was just running around)
Jumping around in the base before match starts (people who jump are always noobs)

I used to do a fair bit of hotjoin around 2 years ago, it’s no fun anymore since they’re just filled with farmers now.

Some feedback from the last tournament:

Please include a ‘role’ or ‘build’ column for sign-ups. I got landed in a team where I was the only one with any team support (as a d/d ele) and every fight that I wasn’t involved in was a disaster as a result of this.

It would be nice if you could make sure at least 2 support roles exist on each team, we had a guardian so it’s possible that this guardian was assumed to be bunker when he wasn’t.

I saw that Prince Vingador video posted here recently I wanna meet this guy for laughs. He’s gonna love my characters in this EU acct. All lvl 2, brown armor, annoying looking and jumps a lot.

I once had a player on my team who said someone was a noob because they were jumping around a lot, no joke.

what do you mean? engineer still burns every 10 seconds.

The meta engi doesn’t spec firearms.

Before the patch you didn’t need to even think about it because you needed to go full into explosives for grenadier anyway, now you have to go into a line that you might not take if you want to get incendiary powder.

They actually got over-nerfed (not that I particularly care). The first nerf that allowed crits and condis to land on turrets already threw the build out of the window, then they got rid of Metal Plating, Auto-tool installation and Rifled Turret Barrels which were three of the most essential turret traits which made them even more useless than they already were.

I see plenty of thieves running with the tricks trait over bountiful theft and they do just fine in the AG tournaments.

They should make it a norn racial skill:

For 10 seconds you prevent enemies from running through you. 5% chance to crush enemy asura when running into it.

I hate it when 2 bunker guards kill my bunker guard, really does my head in.

Because Ranger gets less and less useful the higher up the tiers you go, they’re easy to counter for high-tier players. They also don’t have a portal.

Well, honestly mesmers got several traits as a baseline due to ‘’them being too important for the class.’’ Steal without Bountiful theft and the whole trickery line is terrible and every single thief has to take it if they wan’t to be useful in pvp. By the logic they followed on mesmers it should be baseline.

I’m not sure how to feel about this. Steal is weak and compared to other classes mechanics (mesmer, engi….) it’s a complete joke if untraited.

Yes but then you have to think about every other class. Would be easier just to remove a couple of mesmer baseline stuff.

I’m looking to join a large EU PvE guild that doesn’t require me to constantly rep. I am looking mainly for a guild that has several players who are interested in duo’ing dungeons since my current guild is not active in that area.

I would also like a guild that doesn’t have a strict rep rule since I mostly PvP and need to be able to rep other guilds.

Majority of players in queues aren’t particularly good, so you can’t really judge how ‘good’ you are by how well you do in queue. If you want to test your 1v1 capacity, head to a well-known 1v1 server.

Ironically the NA pugquest works better for me since I work all day Saturday, but I guess it’s fine for others.

Maps, standard models and unranked players tend to have a higher percentage of people who just mess around and don’t take the games as seriously.

The rules need updating, the banned traits are still using the old trait system and there are new tanky amulets (like sentinels) that need to be added. Also, is the 120s cd elite before or after cd reduction?

Yes, you can there normally by traveling down a set of stairs from the Accountacy waypoint and then going to the northwest corner of the downstairs. If you see a bunch of peacemakers, then find a way down more stairs. Then, you get to see who else is in the prisons.

Alternatively you can get there twice as fast by taking the research waypoint and heading down the stairs to the north-west :P

The idea is probably to unlock Unranked at like rank 5 and ranked at rank 20 or something. It should gradually ease you into the “higher skill” environments instead of having brand new players join ranked, wait 5 minutes in the queue, and then get obliterated repeatedly by dragons. This happens to a lot of people in games I play in, both on my team and against me. I genuinely feel bad for the ~50AP players who get into these games and then have that as their defining PvP experience in GW2.

In general i think Anet should avoid people farming rank in custom arenas like we have now if this pvp rank is the same we have now.

I don’t really understand this problem, this so called ‘farming’ is actually a significantly slower method of attaining rank points than playing unranked/ranked due to the decreased rank points for matches that finish quickly.

Second of all, it only takes around 2 days to reach rank 20.

This was stealth patched, but I had a 20 second DC today and came back to find I was still able to get the full 1500 points for winning, whereas previously I would get a very small amount.

Why was the camera angle on the characters in the character selection screen changed to a more elevated angle? It makes all my asuras look angry, I really don’t like it.

Just bring back the old teamq/soloq system.

Rampage wishlist:

1. Remove ability to stomp.
2. Decrease stability stacks to 1 stack (same as lich form)
3. Remove stances when entering rampage

I’ve been as reasonable as possible here, it would still be perfectly viable with these changes.
These changes bring it more in-line with other transformation elites.
