Rangers have always given mesmers a hard time if they can initiate the fight on open ground from max range. What’s the issue here? Everything has a counter.

Congratulations, you failed to understand the most obvious forms of sarcasm. I was quite clearly asking for a buff to grenade barrage after I posted a video saying that engineer was broken (warning: I used sarcasm in this sentence). This renders any of your arguments invalid since you probably won’t understand what’s going on here either.

Learn to play because I trash things on this warrior build when I have no experience on warrior? Makes sense.

I’m not sure why people are automatically assuming that I made this post due to not being able to beat it, I’ve beaten it on plenty of occasions.

I wrote this after playing the warrior build for a solid 2 hours yesterday to see what it was about and I literally rolled over everything with no experience with the class and won just as many (or more) games than I did with a class that I’ve played for around a year. This is a clear sign that it rewards too much for too little.

Second of all, people are only focussing on the damage aspect. I don’t have an issue with the damage, it’s the fact that it also has insane CC, perma stab, mobility and tankiness along with it.

Currently Rampage has 20 seconds of the following:

1. Very high DPS
2. Large amounts of CC (1 AoE, 1 ranged, 1 spammable daze that cleaves, 1 single target melee)
3. Perma Stability
4. High mobility due to gap closers and reduction on movement-impeding conditions
5. Tanky due to double health pool and 25% incoming damage reduction

And to top it all off, it’s only on a 120s cooldown when traited.

No other elite has access to even 4 out of 5 of those points. This form should not be able to do all five of these simultaneously, one or two of these need to be dropped.

This doesn’t even make sense, it’s going to be different for every single matchup and there are a huge number of factors to take into account. Even then, I’m never going to be able to run into a 1vX and know how long it’s going to take.
I killed a top ele the other day (who had no cds) in under 20 seconds, I ran into that fight expecting an endless stalemate.

Grenade barrage cooldown isn’t reduced by the Mechanized Deployment minor trait.
Please fix, this is hurting the berserker engi dps.

Solution – don’t have one of your rabid players 1v1 the diamond skin ele, the same way you would rotate any counter builds. No team comp is going to consist of 3+ rabid builds.

I’m currently looking for a team that is competing in either the ESL cups or AG cups (with an aim to compete in ESL). Either EU or NA is fine as I have accounts on both (primarily an EU player).

I would also be interested in forming a team if there are any lone players that meet the requirements.

What I am looking for:
A thief and mesmer that know how to roam and coordinate insta-burst with each other – This is a must.
Mesmer that knows how to use portal – Also a must.
Tournament experience is definitely preferable, but not required.
Strong communication skills with TeamSpeak3 is a must.
Strong individual ability as well as rotational/map awareness.

What I can offer:
Experience in ToL3 and ESL.
Able to hold 1v1 vs any class post-patch.
Knowledge of every class post-patch.

AG accepts free agents on NA, yes, but we are more or less a team tournament. The free agency part of it is just a small added bonus that I decided to include into the tournametns due to the removal of our former Free Agent Only tournaments that we ran back in December.

This is besides the point. I bought an NA account a couple of weeks ago and took part in the last 2 NA AG cups and yesterday’s Pugquest as a free agent. In both AG cups, we were matched against a full premade team in the first round and did well against them and gave me an opportunity to gauge the skill level of my fellow teammates, which led me to me forming a roster for potentially future tournaments which may include ESL cups in the future.

Even if we would get destroyed in the first round of every tournament as a full FA team, it’s still an opportunity to meet other players in a tournament setting and you can gauge the skill level and contribution of the other players in your team for the sake of potentially forming a proper team in the future.

NA has Pugquest and an AG with a free agent system, whereas EU doesn’t have either.
These events are a great way to get to play in tournaments without needing a set team. It also serves as a platform for those without a team to meet and play with other players in a tournament setting and potentially form new teams, therefore livening up the entire PvP scene with a whole new category of PvP players.

Since the EU pvp scene is arguably more active (just compare the number of teams that appear at the respective AG tournaments), I don’t really understand why NA has these events and EU doesn’t. It would be extremely healthy for the PvP scene.

On another note, are there any restrictions in skills and utilities? If berserker amulet is necessary, it seems like everyone is just going to give each other traits and utilities that are completely useless in conjunction with that amulet (inb4 00662 AH guardian with berserker amulet and tome of courage).

There’s this really annoying bug where dying one part of the armor dyes everything in the same dye. This only happens in the UI and not the character itself, but is annoying nonetheless for when I’m trying to experiment with dyes.

When I click to leave to the Heart of the Mists after a game ends, it sends me straight back into the game the first time. This has happened several times today.

Does this thing still exist? I can’t seem to find any information on current tournaments regarding this.

I’m seriously fed up of getting players who clearly have no idea what they are doing, it’s not fun for either team.
Divide MMR into two tiers – players who queue will not be put in a team with players in the opposing tier. This will be a lot more fun for everyone.

Because you are not looking for mechanically skilled players (to some extent), but great conquest players. There are many many people who maybe good at 1v1s, 2v2s, and 3v3s, but very few players who understand how conquest works in current cele team fight meta. On top of already few people that understands conquest, now you want people who are mechanically great as well. Those people are already picked up onto ESL teams, moved on from GW2 due to many reasons, or unnoticed because they are doing what they are suppose to do to win games, which is more subtle than people think.

Again, I must emphasis the fact that other classes have been much easier to find.

i would have trouble finding any good player for almost all classes if i want to create a ESL level team now.

My point was that I’ve been looking for engis for about half a year now and there’s so few of them compared to things like warriors and eles. It’s not even about top level engis, just engis that know how to rotate, how to cleave, how to communicate.

Why are good engineers so hard to find? I’ve always struggled to find decent engineers to queue with as a team as well as play in tournaments with.

People seem to complain a lot about engineers, with a fair share of forum posts calling them OP, yet if they’re so OP then why aren’t more of them around?

There’s no need for them to be in the mists together or anything, just let them fight in the same arena. I don’t see how that would use up any significant resources since you’re not transferring anything over – just standard PvP buillds.

I don’t think you understand how the system works.

Every arena is going to be based in either EU or NA. If they mixed the arenas, then this would create a significant disadvantage for people playing in the opposing region since they would all suffer from a higher ping.

I don’t mind the chill, it is powerful but does not lock you in place like immob, the problem about this is the damage. It is always combined with the close to death trait (+20% dmg against <50% HP enemys) so it hit’s like a truck. Bonus points if procced from down state.

This has nothing to do with an amulet being OP.

It’s common for ANY tanky amulet (amulets with a certain number of defensive stats) to be banned in duels because they result in duels that take forever, resulting in less people being able to duel.
