I i used to have the skill to kill anyone I was faced with. no mater how many times i knock them down or keep them on the ground they will just get back up and be in stealth for 10 sec+
So you want to be able to use CC on an thief, stun them , knock back, knock down, fear /daze , and if you kill them you are skilled. If they counter your CC… you want the counter skill removed.

Don’t transfer to US unless you are able to pay tunneling services . Is an huge diference betwen 20-70 latency and 350 + , specialy in WvWvW

All WvW is, is a numbers game. This requires ZERO skill and ZERO organization. Just follow the blue icon on your map and zerg through everything. It really gets old on both sides, the winning and the losing.
This week we seem to be at a tier where the numbers vs. us are far more than we can pull together in 3 days, let alone one evening. The fights that are more balanced in numbers are very good fights and worthy of running all the way back to get back in to.
Unfortunately this isn’t always the case. WvW has become nothing more than who has more online, wins.
This will not get fixed or even thought about until more people complain about it. This needs attention and quickly. There is nothing more to this game. WvW is really it. Even the PvErs are leaving. On my server no one really does spvp/tpvp. Fix it.

And do not espect any intervention from A-net, they cannot force your server to go wvwvw. They will make it more atractive and update it, but they will not force ppls to go wvwvw, or punish the server you fight against.

well , i’ve done some pve in last few weeks
i can say thieves are close to top if they are played correctly
example : i can facetank 20 -30 mobs for few seconds (signet of malice + dagger storm , if i also drop shadow refuge i get combo field dark so i leach 300 /target for 4 seconds. with this combo you can regen more then 3000 hp /sec
generaly signet of malice is very strong on pve , combined with aoe ( shortbow /sword)
Smoke screen got an short cooldown and can be usefull in many fractals and dungeons. death blossom is another strong pve skill, specialy if you got some celestial stats and might up.
i do not have problem to take drops (10-25 moldy bags / penitent or shelter) even without an party , with shortbow
thief also got 2 combo fields smoke ( smoke screen /black powder) wich provide area blind combined with projectiles) very usefull in high lvl fractals
on Short :
Pro’s
thief can compete with warrior in terms of dps – on single target
many escape tools , utility’s to increse party survaivability
high lifesteal (skills +traits)
Cons :
low base hp /armor (medium armor user)
poor acces to boons
initiative dependent ( can provide short duration burst, fall on constant burst)
poor aoe compared to elementarist /warrior /eng
require a lot of experience to be played correctly.

for veterans , the fast way is wvw:
you find an enemy supply camp- minimum 4veterans inside ( maybe you find 2 dolyaks also 2 extra events)
So this is the current system.
The alternative to FOTM is to religiously finish your dailies . Meaning if you want X item, keep doing it for said amount of days. Putting aside, monthly achievement bonus of 10 laurels, let’s put things into perspective before I go further.
Assuming Tom, Phallus and Harry all want an ascended ring. 30 laurels. Which ring is of no relevance. Don’t bring necessity in. They want it, so it’s necessary to them. Your opinion of what is and what isn’t would be moot.
Tom logs in and does his achievements everyday. So it’d take him 30 days to hit 30 laurels.
Phallus comes once every two days which would take him 60 days to hit 30 laurels.
Harry often gets himself in a tangle and only manages to log in once every 3 days. Which would ultimately take him 90 days to reach 30 laurels.
With all the hue and cry for all the unnecessary things out there, why isn’t this a concern for any of you casuals or players who log in irregularly?
There are people who live rather sporadic lifestyles. They can be busy for a few and be stuck on the couch for the next. So because dailies are dailies, the deadline expires on the day itself. As such attaining said item from the laurel shop would take unnaturally long.
There are games like Forsaken World which allows you to accumulate your rewards for up to 3 days. That’s a decent compromise.
And it isn’t from the kindness from my heart I thought of this. I just went to bed early and forgot all about the last 15% on gathering to finish my daily. Brain fart happened and I wonder why this isn’t a bigger issue.

So i spend 30 gold to make char lvl 70 . go explore fireheart / frostgorge / stairs of devastation / malchor /cursed shore. I recover money i spent on craft from map completions and i got an char lvl 80 with 110 skill points.
i buy 11 eldricht scrols / spend 3.8-4 gold *11 = 45 gold to craft 11 mystic axe’s and i get 11 sigils of bloodlust 25 ecto’s from savage = 90 gold
45 gold profit and an char lvl 80 in less then 14 hours.Not bad ideea
i’ve sold over 20 mystic weapons and i only have 70 skill points discovered on map.

Long story short – introduce better incentives and people will come. Otherwise forget it.
the fact is : you get better loot on friday that on saturday, you got 10% more hp and take 10% less damage from monster, you heal for more and all those bonuses. And that players who play wvwvw, keep those bonuses up for you every week, when you grind for your ascended and legendary.
You already benefit from that, but again those bonuses should apply only to players that play wvw.
i spend /hour in wvwvw 6.5 +4.3 +1 silver /30 minutes – 25 silver/hour for food buffs
i have 24 % magic find (from triforge pendant ) and i make arround 2- 300 kills /day but i barely cover food buff and some repair costs unles i follow the zerg and capture /defend keeps and even then i end up with max 3 gold profit /day.
Considering that i play an thief, wich allows me to have minimal deaths ratio , i find that many ppls lose money in wvwvw, even without spending an cooper on upgrades.

gap creation can be very situational for guardians, but if you got an target even at 3000 range, you can use JI / sword’s 2’nd skill and you are gone.
if you wish to take damage in consideration, you could take boons/heals and utility’s intro consideration, wich are mandatory in high lvl fractals and some pve areas.
I do not state eng are supperior to warriors intro pve, but again in some situations 5 warriors party would strugle , cause they lack constant defensive utility, wich guardians , eng, elementarists , etc.. have.

Still my stats aren’t that bad compared to yours?You beat me on power and precision though, so I’m guessing with the added power plus higher chance of critical you can eat into someone a lot more effectively, particularly useful when using a Greatsword.
I should buy full exotic trinkets but the type I buy will effect my armor sigs. I was going to buy Doylak sigs (power vitality and toughness bonuses to armour) and apply it to an armour type that gives only the same benefits, power toughness vitality. Then buy the exotic trinkets to match those 3 qualities too. Perhaps then with the regen this would be a solid char I don’t know.

Healing signet scale with your healing power, i have arround 220 + wvwvw bonuses , can go up to 230 and 360 / 3 seconds from adrenal heal.
I did not had any critical food on that screen shot with critical food and signet precision i get up to 54% critical chance and 100 critical damage, while i keep almost 3000 armor and over 21k hp.
even if that guy had more armor then me arround 3200 -3300 ( knight gears) he can do 12 k eviscerate easy on low defnces

i did not made my eng lvl 80 yet but i find it decent in pve, not at warrior’s lvl but the permanent regeneration and high duration boons+aoe burst.
Same goes with wvwvw, he is strong in groups, and he can providetons of aoe damage and utility for its team.
i like DB on direct damage build .

- is my best counter for blurred frenzy . I jump on an mesmer he use blurred frenzy, i cannot C&D on him so i use DB
same goes vs warrior who use endure pain/hb , even if my cond damage is low.
I can also dodge an volley , kill shot , unload when my endurance is low (skills that will hit me on stealth)
well you can spend 1000 gold and don’t get spark or you can get it out of 5 gold
when i got it , i was forced to sell it cause i spent over 50 gold gambling for it, so i had to savage my items to sell runes /sigils to continue gamble:)
they are very strong in 1 vs 1 situations.
However , because of low mobility they will lose most of the times in 2 vs 1 situations and will be unable to finish /win an good elementarist / mesmer /thief/warrior /engenier.
If you run from an guardian in time (over 50% hp ) he lack the burst to finish you.
Here is my story.
I am an achiever. As you can guess, I like to achieve things in games, that’s what achievement are there for.
So I decided to launch myself into a challenge. Getting a WvW title. Pretty hard isn’t it? Yet I took the easy one: using 1,000,000 ressources into Siege Weapons.
As you can guess, it requires quite a grind. So I optimised my way to progress into it: buying massives amounts of Flame Rams (best for Ravits/Price) with honor badges and gold.
Now as you can guess, I need to use those Flame Rames. And I need to find the necessary supply.
Easy: supply camps. You can build up to 5 flame rams around a supply spot so I just have to build, leave, find another spot, build, etc…
Now, the biggest problem I ever had in that game: WvW players. Most of them on my server are stupid like hell. Every time they see me doing that, they want to report me.
And the discussion always goes like that:
Player: “Hey, you, what the hell are you doing. Flame Rames in a camp? You’re a f… spy.”
Me: “I’m just doing my achievements. Doesn’t bother anyone, supplies automatically refill in camps. And I’m not a spy, I don’t speak German (we are French, our ennemies are German) and why would an ennemy even pay gems and wait a week just for that?”
Player (did not read anything) : So you’re griefing us for achievements! What a selfish behavior!
Me: “But, it refills, so it doesn’t bother anyone!”.
Player: “Heh, everyone, this player is building Flame Rames in camps! Let’s report him!”.
Player2&3&4: “Oh what a noob let’s all report him!”.
Me: “Heh, but what motive are you going to put inside the report?”.
Player: “Botting!”.
Me: “Won’t work. Mods check if it’s true or not.”
Player: “No, we’ll massive report you and you’ll be banned!”.
So, yea, here is my daily suffering. Being reported, again and again, treated as a noob by my server and hunted everywhere. The thing I’m the most afraid of is to be really banned, so Mod, could you tell me if you are going to ban me for this?
Also, should I contact support? I’m here for that kind of advice, not to be bashed my more WvW players: “Heh, what you’re doing is really stupid! Let’s report you too!”.

Most of the people defending the current system are those who already have full exotic sets, and in many cases ascended garbage too. It’s just human nature to want people to climb the same mountain you did, no free rides. I would love an sPvP / GW1 PvP style system that dispensed with the pointless grind, but obvious anet doesn’t see WvW that way…lord knows what they see.

as for bloodlust vs force vs perception vs accuracy efficiency

at 3750 p attack sigil of bloodlust at 25 stacks will add an 7.5% increase in damage
sigil of force will constant add 5% , even if you get downed , die … change map .. etc

i dislike your trait line
you got 25% condition duration, but no imobilize, and is only good for your rifle bleeds
well kinda irelevant , cause out of my played time i am not sure how many hours i spent on wvw. With afk’s and map completion , 400 fractals … 23 ratio
i don’t really belive that rares count too much. In the end 2 piles of crystaline dust = rare or 2 t6 mats. you will end up from 2 gold to 6-7 /hours (without counting exotics) depending on how good party you got and your magic find. I usualy farm 4 + g /h with 27% magic find , cause i got high dps and always party.
to solo simple supply camp (100/100 -150/150)you need arround 20 seconds with bereker build.
Rush on first scout, do 2 -3 normal hits untill veteran and guard come near you. then use 3 stances (balanced stance / endure pain /frenzy ) and hundred blades. Scout will die and guard will be under 30% hp , he need 2-3 more hits. Whirlwind to the other veteran scout and hundred blades. all mobs will be dead except champion will be arround 20%Except that the Scout will spam her Blind and you’ll miss most, if not all, attacks…?
it will do 1 blind every 10 seconds or so , blind stop 2 hits from hundred blades only

i disagree with you OP.
an player who play for fun , will not be dedicated to his team ,he will not sit at an treb for 20 minutes hitting same wall, he will not run 4 times from supply camp to keep to repair. he will run arround random and aim for another random frag. if he get it he laugh, if he lose he cry. If 70% of your server will play like this you will lose, you will go down few tiers and in the end you will give up.

I kindly request an answer from moderators regarding this , because in my personal oppinion this is an bug, but i want to know A-net oppinion regarding this.
warrior should give the loot and experience at some point, either when revenge end , or when he enter on revenge
and that is because they changed rally : no experience -no rally- warrior can deny everything , i even wonder if you get kill point, didn’t checked it
If an warrior use revenge before you finish it, no loot , no xp , no rally
I do not feel like i have any advantage as an warrior to deny my enemy badge of honor or 300 xp, but
Warrior killed on revenge don’t give at any point the xp/loot , it should be changed in my opinion.
and for warrior vs warrior :
warrior 1 fight vs warrior 2, warrior 1 -2000 hp left /warrior 2 downed.
warrior 2 get warrior 1 downed with 2 attacks , then use revenge. Warrior 1 is forced to use revenge and die as well (cause they cannot rally on eachother). So is a draw ?

there is no specific build for fractals
i run an 0/20/30/0/20 in fractals and i got minimal deaths up to lvl 20 , depending on my party: 85% of times 0 deaths, 2-3 times downed in 4 maps, there are situations when i got 1-3 full deaths if i got too many magic find party mates.
You must know mobs mechanism and when to switch utility’s.
For example :
Swap fractal : start with bull charge /balanced stance – signet of rage for wisp. change to FGJ / banner of discipline +endure pain /frenzy for champion
colosus *- use trow bolas to imobilize champion , signet of stamina to cure conditions. he apply like 4 conditions at once.
*dredge * – a must – fgj
situational fear me /stomp for mob waves
trow bolas vs last champion to hold him under lava.
*ravaging asura – balanced stance / signet of dolyak for stability vs harpy (after lvl 10)
Volcanic – vs last champion – use healing signet to regenerate constant hp , use frenzy to burst the shield (recomanded omnomberry ghost /pie)
As far as best guild/server I wonder who would win between Vizunah Square and Jade Quarry right now I bet it would be an awesome week of WvW. Both server have been T1 forever.
Jade quary got better coverage then vizunah, they would win cause numbers.
In term of strategy, peak only ,jade quary would lose vs few Eu servers.
