personaly i facetank the camp , it takes me less then 1 minute to take 100 /100 camp
D/D build
i start with steal +backstab on first veteran scout , i do normal chain untill veteran guard and guild claimed comes near me . 3x Death blossom /dodge roll /hide in shadows-backstab again the scout. Then i do dagger storm and kill second scout . Guard will be at 20%-30% hp and guild claimer 50%

If we have half of SFR, we will be spawn camping both SFR and Viz at the same time. Until we get numbers we will lose the score but not the war.

bull charge / frenzy/signet of rage for warrior
shadowstep / basilik for thief … etc

I belive 30 points in critical strikes are not good for p/D, you will find it hard to stay over 6 initiative inside combat and , 20 points in shadow arts are almost an must for condition removal and inititive management (IoS). Not sure too if 30 points in acrobatics are the best, i belive 20 in critical strikes are good.
So 0/20/30/20/0 or 10/20/30/10/0 build also look good

2. i would like to see some rewards for badges, yes badges drop rate has been increased a lot , but at this moment i can only use them to buy 4 exotics and trow them intro forge.
Not necesarly ascended , i would like to see :

3. daily wvwvw reward (wvwvw only)
in my oppinion it comes like this:
game experience : to know your enemy’s skills and wich skill can counter other
good PC and connection
fast fingers /player’s skill
then comes gear , food , world bonuses
If the people on your server are not smart enough to figure out quickly which Commanders they should or should not follow, that is a problem with your server population.
If they ARE smart enough to know which Commanders to follow, this system is entirely superfluous.

I guess you’re pugs must be smarter than our pugs… I haven’t seen any difference in pug intelligence in any MMO I’ve ever played though.
Why would anybody follow you, specialy if you got same attitude in game like there.
So first you call them Pugs : Basically means a group that isn’t formed by people you know; instead, it’s formed up of random, possible noobs that will completely wreck whatever experience you are getting the group for.

My opinion: Anet should get a team together and have them all play thieves. This way they can experience the class first hand. They should also go incognito and join group exp runs so they can hear other players question your class choice, try to get you kicked, et merda for simply being a thief. Making game changes based on forum feedback and stat logs alone, without playing the game in its current state today is simply flawed development.
don’t even bother with groups that don’t want thieves (cause they are squishy), they usualy play with 170-200 % magic find and espect somebody to tank and Dps for them.
I’ve completed many fractals lvl 20 + with 3 thieves in group with minimal deads (0 , 1-4 downed times)
I’ve pugged a lot with my warrior and guardian, and this is the reason you should play dungeons with ppls you know.
Currently thief is like a bad joke for PvE. Yes, we do decent DPS if specced for it, and we can (if traited) do a few extra dodges. But we have zero survivability beside dodging, stealth is useless after last patch, our main heal (crit heals) is nerfed to uselessness.
I heard some dev saying that each class should have several good builds to choose from. Well, lets start by giving thief a single good build for PvE, because right now thief is 100% redundant for PvE (as in, no role to fullfill).
Its also very hard to motivate why any group, no matter the content, would pick a thief before another class. Maybe if they know they will die a lot, and need stealth-ressses. But then, everyone can do that with spy-kits.
Basically, thief feels like a warrior, but:
- less weapons and skills
- worse healing
- lower health
- lower armor
- less support
- no tanking abilityAnd warriors complain? :-)
regarding thief’s healing
hide in shadows -5500 heal / 700 regeneration / cures 3 conditions , stealth 3 seconds
signet of malice – 120 hp /target, in pve considering you use shortbow with 1/4 seconds trick shot x3 targets = 120*4*3=1440/sec.
Daggeer storm over 2000 hp/sec betwen 5+targets
320 /sec stealted +regen
shadow refuge. 3-4 second 1600 heal + dark field
dark field – combined with whirl : 170/ hit = 540 /death blossom, a lot from dagger storm
dark field -combined with projectiles 200+/hit
Assasin reward -70/initiative
if you use healing power those heals increase, ofc you will lose some burst

cluster bombs * spammable * at least 6-7 in row combined with ranger’s healing spring you will heal all party members for 1350 hp/ blast

i belive you took 5 kills ( accrding to your stacks) in 7 minutes with an 30 ppls zerg behind vs another zerg of low lvls. Even the ones you took were running from your zerg , nobody fought back
Lag is not an issue. I have an account on both EU and NA, and I don’t notice any difference at all in combat.

i have 50-70 lattency on EU and 350-390 in US
So do not generailize your situation, if i will have to play with 390 latency i will 100% avoid WvWvW. And i am not the only 1 with huge latency on US and decent on EU

No it isn’t stealth. Stealth was meant to be a secondary attribute. All the chicken little behavior claiming that ANY change to stealth ruins the class is just melodrama. What is the primary mechanic of rangers? Lol.
rangers have good acces to stability, protection , regeneration , invulnerability vs psihical damage
Double knockback (weapon skill +pet). They can CC a lot and counter CC.
thieves got – no direct acces to stability/protection/ invulnerability . poor acces to regeneration
They can stun you for 1.5 seconds ?(With elite)
They got stealth only
Best solution is to have WvW and PvE separate servers.
Or remove all WvW requeriments for PvE stuff…
this will increase numbers for 2 hours at peaks maybe, and will only increase queue on high tiers. An guy who likes to play wvw or find it funny , will have no problem to pve for few days, in order to be competitive.
I played few weeks against Fr servers ,most of the times on theyr own borderland, and they got always underlvled guys on wvwvw. Even at 3-4 am you see 20 guys with green arrow near the name, so if somebody enjoy the wvwvw they will go there from lvl 1 in white armors.
i belive march update will drag lot more ppls in wvwvw
A simpler solution that’s more fair to everyone would be for points per tick to be worth progressively less for continuous control.
Ex: you take a tower, during the first hour each tick gives you 10 points. If you still hold it then the next hour each tick only gives you 8 points. 3rd hour ticks give 5, after 4 hours of uninterrupted control the tower no longer gives points.
This means you don’t keep earning points during empty periods yet no timezone is penalized.
That is not an solution
you need few hours to upgrade an keep /tower to full
That way you could let it undefended and wait with 100 ppls behind tower to take it back after 5 minutes you lose it
i disagree with ideea:
reasons:
clan X- EU, clan Y- Asia , clan Z- US decide to leave from tier 1 same server to tier 8 same server.
That means : 1 server from tier 1 will not be competitive for 2-3 weeks, messing up the entire match.
1 server from tier 8 will hold 600 points day /night (24/7) for 1 month untill they reach tier 7 and kill the wvwvw from other 2 servers in tier 8. Clan M, N, H see that and decide to join the winning side and earn some free gems.
When server reach tier 5 , the loser clans from tier 1/2 decide to join that server for free.
ppls who create new account select home rank 1 server : transfer to tier 8 -they start with 50 gold

with an 2 seconds int cooldown you get 325x 15 = 4500 extra hp every 30 seconds
considering that guardian heals with virtue of resolve arround 2700 hp /30 sec
and warrior with healing signet -6000 hp
Fixed a bug that caused loot chests to spawn incorrectly during group play. Loot chests are now created for items of rarity “rare” and above.

As a thief, if they /Anet) cant fix the culling, numbers of people stealthed/abuse of stealth, id rather see it being removed. Yes. Instead add camouflage maybe, or add tricks to the tief class like hard to catch. Making them more evasive, faster and increase range of pistol. Give them some symbols maybe? I dont know, fact is, it doesnt work, like it is right now. It just doesnt work.

many ppls reject thieves from dungeons, many ppls refuse to take me in fractal partyes, cause i am an thief, however i managed to finish lvl 10 under 40 minutes( 4 stages ) with 3 thieves in same party .And i usualy do 20 with another thief, we use signet of malice , lifesteal food/we time shadow refuge for dark fields and sometimes we drag the party, with an balanced /tanky build.
ppls use valk to don’t get 1 shoted or to avoid to die by random aoe
let’s be honest, full bers has 11000 hp and 1900 defence. Is glass cannon that can die from 1 random backstab /whirlwind … etc
Full glass cannons use the extra 20% damage under 50% hp .
Nowdays most of ppls run with an stunbreaker , so as full glas cannon you will die a lot unless you are experienced
Simple fixes:
1.Any damage to a stealthed opponents: reveals the stealthed person..just like every other mmorpg that was, is and ever will be.
2.Any action performed during stealth breaks it.
3. Stealthing of any sort should cause initiative usage. Enough to prevent restealthing over and over. This isn’t thief wars or hide-and-go-seek.

Introduce cooldowns on stealth in general..no need to stealth 4 times in a fight instantly with only one stealth ability using initiative..dagger off hand thief: can spec into stealth upon stealing, can stealth when healing, can group stealth and can dagger 5 to stealth. Only dagger 5 in this situation uses initiative..and it can be used twice in a row.. kinda silly, really..
4.Bow 5 and sword 2 -and its equivalent- should have high initiate usage with a short range for sword 2 maximum 1200 range. Its time that the thief class should stay and pay the price if it messes up like every other class – eles excluded..their escapes are just too silly as well if anyone ran into a half decent ele -

There are -presumably- more than two people doing the balancing as eluded to previously. SEVEN months have passed with the most pressing class imbalance being thieves as noted by 64k reads to this thread and 60+ pages of replies and still nothing has been done.
We’ve reached a point of heavy customer dissatisfaction and the slow reaction to balancing the thief is an indicative of things to come, unfortunately. The players patience is not infinite and with new MMOs looming in the horizon, time is running short.

Lifesteal /projectiles (pistol /shortbow)
leave your pistols at home, they are the bottom weapons for wvw, specialy if you are low lvl .
Use shortbow, follow the zerg, unlock survaivability utility’s first , do as many events as you can ( supply camps /assault/quagans) but specialy defence. On top of the wall you are safe, and you can get some kills.
I am not an team player, i did not joined an guild, i do not use team speak , i go afk every 15-30 minutes, i play half afk.
I play single player an MMO…
Thief is perfect for me, specialy in wvwvw.
