Yes, I’m 90% sure it does.
There are food effects that work too.
My apologies. I thought this subject resided in PvE. On the topic of your herald. Does it have might stacks while you do that? Also, sword is a melee weapon. It is designed to have more dps than a ranged one, however easy it is to close the gap.

mmm… many games are adopting this stupid pvp system lately, its a way to make all players feel like they are Pro. Sick of this modern system.
It’s lingering damage from the “everyone gets a trophy” generation.
Strange…
My Dragonhunter hits with a 10k trueshot (on crit). What gear are you running?20 k….naked
Someone higher ?
Seriously…full zerk i did never 10 k even before patch. You should not test on mosquitos ;-)There is a buff hidden there.however..we can now true shot while moving by using auto attack.
Thank you Anet.
Ok, I was incorrect when I remembered 10k. Not sure if I had actually seen it or not after the patch. But I was able to get 7,500 pretty consistently. (this is without food buffs, enemy vuln, or 25 might)
What is your normal-course-of-play, and what dailies would you like to see added to the game-section you operate in?
See my previous post above for my idea of being able to do things during the normal course of play. I thought those original Dailies were fun.
But several more posts above that I offered an idea I would actually prefer to see. It isn’t so much about “normal course of play” as it is about giving you more choices. I think you should be able to (for example) choose between one of 3 World Bosses to kill. Choose between one of 3 mini dungeons to complete. Between one of 3 Jumping Puzzles to complete. Etc.
I suppose that is reasonable. But to play the “devil’s advocate,” maybe this would actually decentivize diversity through “the path of least resistance” effect and promote repeating a norm every day. In the long-run, this could make the game feel more stagnant for the casual player?
In my opinion, this is such a minor, teeny, tiny, puny, teensy, micro, spec of an “inconvenience” that it is hardly worth noting.
There seems to be enough dailies that three can easily, quickly — and enjoyably — be acquired every day.
And that, my friend, is exactly how the Dailies were originally intended to work. Something you can usually accomplish – without deviating from what you want to do – during your normal course of play. I am glad you enjoy them and can do them quickly. I suspect you are comfortable in more than just one game mode (PvP/PvE/WvW).
The first time they changed up dailies, they became more restrictive. More specific goals were made. That made it hard to follow your “normal course of play” unless you normally enjoy playing more than one game mode. They’ve been that way ever since, and those of us who only want to play one mode feel a certain bitterness when lack of choice in our area of comfort makes it seem as if we’re being forced to do unpleasant stuff.
What is your normal-course-of-play, and what dailies would you like to see added to the game-section you operate in?
Edit: This question can probably be directed to the OP too.

Thank you Anet.
I was not testing on mosquitos. I tested on Orr undead. I will come back with an image when I get a chance.
What context is this? PvP/WvW, or PvE/Raids?
I also prefer the new over the old, simply because the old one made my norn look like a floppy-fish. However, I can agree that the new animation doesn’t feel as “expertly savage” as the old. I would like there to be some form of middle-ground.
Keep in mind HoT content will become freely accessible when the next expansion comes. Sure, it will take a while, but it will happen.
Just to clarify, is this 30k per second? Or is it based off of a single auto-chain with boosts added? Or is it something akin to 10 seconds?
Yes, I would probably say medium. All adventurer profession have strong condi options. However, scholar professions (light) are a close second.
In my opinion, I think it would greatly reduce build diversity. By being able to take more at once, there is less sacrifice/choice. Plus, this would only add to the power-creep. I think the concept is fun (maybe for an April-fools joke?) but in practice, it would be negative.
“Each profession has had their default ground-target reticle interchanged with new profession-specific reticles.
All combo fields in the game have been given a visual update to make them more distinct in combat.”
I just want to say thanks a million for this visual update. I know it is a minor update in the face of everything else, but it seems to add a whole new flavor to professions and visual style to combat that wasn’t there before.
More profession-specific armor/weapons would add nicely to this topic.
I think the build will change slightly between solo-roaming and small group-play. And I would totally provide a build to help, but It’s been forever since I’ve visited WvW xD
I’ll let someone else help with this.
DPS and survivabiltiy?…
Maybe something along the lines of Herald, Tempest, Scrapper, or Mesmer
Choose what you like best.
For me, it’s true that I mainly “spam” 3 for dps and 5 for defensive purposes, but that doesn’t mean I ignore the other skills. I use 4 to interrupt channels and 2 to set up a steal->fistflurry, as the immob, however short, is enough to keep them from moving during the channel. Also, auto is used when init is on recharge. So I use the whole pallet of skills. It just seems spammy because 3 is used back-to-back.
Edit: I can only speak for my use of p/p.
No i am not being overly dramatic
Yes, you are being overly dramatic. Like, by a lot.
Excluding CC skill caps, trueshot and test-of-faith were pretty much the only skills to be nerfed. Albeit by a large margin, but many skills received buffs as well.
Strange…

They also tend to help win downed-fights.
Druid is not meant to have strong dps. It is built for support. We will just have to wait for a dps-focused elite spec to arrive.
Just tossing in a couple cents here…
Sure, we can add damage buffs in close to stationary combat and that’s great, but there are other modes that Ranger/Druid dps is really lacking.
Elaborate, please <3
Yeah, many rangers are QQing over the dps loss from the change.
Replace SnR with Frost Spirit for wing 1. (also do things like use glyph of tides for vale guardian in place of the daze glyph)
Edit: and 2nd boss of wing 2
Ranger axe, greatsword, torch, dagger; Warrior greatsword; Thief dagger all have the same problem.
Perhaps there will be a future elite specialization that further rewards a thief’s bursty potential, but not to this extent, lol.
It is also worth noting that Ranger/Druid is responsible for good party-dps-boosts. So they should be considered as the “Ranger’s dps.”
The norn animation is absolutely hysterical. I think they were going for a “300” look, but it just goes too fast.
So we went from floppy fish to ecstatic spartan? :P
I guess I’m in the minority but I really like the current sword attacks. I didn’t mind the root too much and it was never really a problem for me.
That new animation looks terrible. Really bad.
I think it looks great. Well, great in comparison to my floppy-fish norn right now.
Anarii pretty much gave the go-to meta build for strong, organized groups. It has a high dps-output in addition to strong healing.
Personally, I find that sacrificing some dps for further healing is wiser when dealing with pugs, so I will leave the build I use here as well:
(NOTE: I have a superior sigil of concentration on my warhorn, but the site does not have it listed)
If you have the resources, feel free to give both builds a try. Otherwise, stick with Anarii’s.

I personally like it. It’s like an alternative Silverwastes. But to each his own.
So you want LA to be more like Ebonhawke?
I’m probably one of those who doesn’t know how to play either :P
Despite my 54% winrate.Don’t let it get to ya. Some people just have more salt than pepper..
I’m just an average player and I really enjoy tight games, even if I lose, those are really fun and challenging.
Perfect. Stay just like that. On the topic of matchmaking, I’m sure it will improve over time. It will just probably take longer than most will like.

It looks pretty challenging to me. If I were in those matches, I probably would have lost too.
Makes me sad. I guess im one of the few who figured out how to work with pounce (or likes working with it) I’ll miss pounce, but maybe they have replaced it with something better.
Yeah, it will be missed (RIP gigantic bristleback). Would be funny if they called back to it if they ever make a “bunnythumper” elite specialization. Have pounce be a utility that makes the ranger or pet jump on a target enemy, knocking them down and immobilizing them, lol.
This game also has a global TP, not a server based TP. As far as I know, there isn’t another game TP that’s within an order of magnitude of scale of this one.
Hi John, just my 2 cents.
I guess the technical limitation has something to do with the database and the amount of querys some amount of players can do before the DB cache queue get fills up (AKA beginning to lose transactions.I would in your case implement a double queue system: Your TP already have in place one (i guess).
At the client side i would implement an internal queue where the items that the player want to sell are queued. Those items are listed in the TP as soon as possible if the limit is reached it tries in X seconds/minutes.
If the player close the game before those items are listed they are returned to the player to his inventory. For the player would not be any visual difference and would solve the hindrance of the limit pop up, the TP could get some breather because you could decide what are the limit of quees x second and player could be the limits of the amount of items posted per x time.
And at security level wouldn’t change much, simply would be another “hidden space” were those items could be placed while waiting to be listed in the TP. If those have to be returned because the player closed the game before they could be listed and his bags are full again, it could be given back in a way similar to a daily chest so the player can try to list them again in the TP as soon as he is able to free up the bag.
Sure it will need some coding, but the change shouldn’t be very invasive, is simply creating a queuing interface to handle the listing.
These are some interesting ideas, but I’m afraid they don’t address the root issues. I’m not at liberty to discuss the architecture of the game, but the problems are harder than what you’re thinking. That being said, are they fixable? Yes. Do we know how to fix them? Yes. Are we going to spend man-years doing it so people can sell items faster on the TP? Probably not. There’s just bigger fish to fry.
Something smells fishy…
Yeah, don’t hype anything please.
Don’t expect anything good. So that when it does come out, and it is ok, then we can all be happy and excited.
(edited by Razor.9872)
Problem solved. Pounced will be removed in 4 days.
If I didn’t love it so much, I would send it to you.
That said, I will die with it.
So, are you saying that you want to be able to sour through the air like superman without anything helping you fly (appearance wise)? Or am I misunderstanding you?
Remember builds like
2|4|0|2|6
I prefer to run 10/20/0/10/30.
Just a guess here…
But there would probably be a small wave of ‘Thank you Anet! I can play now…’ posts on the forums…
Followed soon after by a bigger wave of ‘WAAAAH! I’M BORED NOW! GG ANET FOR RUINING MY EXPERIENCE!’ type posts…
Are you a psychic, or time traveler? O_0
Do you need a mouse to play reaper MM? O_O…thought you didn’t even need to use a keyboard
You are an idiot but we already knew that already.
Insult someone…then agree with them? Interesting choice.
It really ends up depending on your utility and gear specs.
