It says: “Skins can be unlocked by using consumables, equipping items, salvaging equipment, or right-clicking on equipment and account-binding it.”

If item skins can be account unlocked simply by owning and right-clicking them…does this mean it is possible to purchase, say, medium order of whispers armor on an order of whispers recruited mesmer, right-click and bind them, then access the skins from a vigil recruited ranger?

Also, salvaging was on that list too. Would salvaging the item be a 100% chance to add it to your wardrobe? Or is it more along the lines of 33% since it is not being “bound” or whatever.

What exactly are you asking for? Characters created before the patch will have all past traits already unlocked. Only new traits will have to be purchased/found/earned.

I repeatedly get kicked out of groups for not playing a Guardian or Warrior, and sometimes even receive major hate for maining a ranger.

I woud kick you too from dungeon party if you dare play a ranger. Some times I tolerate rangers on eazy dungeons, just rare. And I love when I see in LFG two rangers looking for other members, no one join them ^^ once I did all my 3 paths and they where still there in the list looking… I wanted to enter in party and shout: MAKE A KITTEN WARRIOR but I leave them be… they deserve it ^^

Of course not, they don’t give a kitten about animation problems. Just like they did with human women, who run like men now.
I sent in a report and got a default answer back. :/

I don’t understand, why they changed it anyway. Where is an animation the female sylvari, humans and norn use, then the male human/sylvari one (two types he swiches between) and the unique norn male animation. But now, one animation is gone and the norn lose some more of thier uniqueness towards the humans/sylvari.

Upgrade: Spectrum Unlock — Makes unlocked/consumed dyes across all characters accountbound instead of characterbound.

While rebuying dyes for all my alts would be quite an adventure…I, and many of the people I know, would love to have the option to purchase an upgrade to make the dye system much more fluid, accessible, and convenient.

On a side note: When you guys (A-net) get to the Jormag release someday in the future, I would love a Corrupted Quiver Skin.

Regarding armor, I would sincerely dislike such things. Alternate skin colors (within reason) maybe, but adding armor to pets would be rather ridiculous in my opinion and I truly hope ANet is not seriously considering this when there are so many other issues that would be better served spending development time on.

The Ranger isn’t expected to do burst damage. By sustained, we mean that the Ranger should excel at surviving (resilient) through burst while still doing enough damage over time to take the opponent down.

If the Ranger is not expected to do burst damage, then the usefulness of traits/skills such as:

-Opening strike
-Alpha Training
-Precise Strike
-Beastmaster’s Might (signets have long recharges and the might provided by them is little)
-Moment of Clarity
-Peak Strength (the timeframe this trait remains active is really only utilized properly through bursting)
-Signet of the Hunt (Active)
-Signet of the Wild (Active)
-Hilt Bash (effect on pet)

Are in serious question.

All of these prominent utilities scream bursting — not so much sustain. Perhaps if Rangers had access to more stealth, the Marksmanship traitline would grow more viable. I cannot say what that would do to the balance of the ranger, however.

Also, being a master of sustain isn’t always a good thing. Bursting is far more useful as enemies often die before they can attack back. In the sake of build diversity, there should be enemies or reasons Rangers (or any profession for that matter) would want to consider going sustain inplace of burst.

No feedback from Anet so far. Seems only few other players noticed the change, the new animations look very strange and i hope Anet changes this back to the old longbow animations.

The terrible thing is, it’s not “new”. It’s the women’s animation. :-o

Yeah, I dislike the change myself. I don’t understand why A-net needed to change it in the first place? The original male Norn LB animation was great.

last patch (or the one before that), Male Norn (possibly other races?) Rangers had their LB animation changed to that of a female human. I’m not sure what the reason what, or if this was intentional, but It’s kind of a weird change.

Did anyone else notice this? And, if so, which animation do you prefer?

I’ve been drooling for the bunny thumper ever since A-net said they would release almost every weapon to every profession.

Or you can openly tell people what to do. While I can’t say everyone will listen, the few that do will solve your problem.

I doubt the backpiece will be the only reward available in the next update. I’m sure there will be other things to keep you pre-occupied.

The concept of stealth would tie in nicely with heavy hitting power rangers — making stealth their main form of defense (sorta similar, but not completely like a thief).

Sometimes, having something hidden makes it all the more special when you find it. I can understand your thirst to find everything without having to look for it. But sometimes miscellaneous is a good thing.

I would absolutely love an account upgrade which allows all unlocked dyes on all characters to become account unlocked across all your other characters.

I recall A-net originally planned to have dyes be account unlocked, but for some reason they changed their minds. If I would have to pay money to have this feature, I would.

I collect all the dyes and I don’t mind. I don’t really see what the big deal is. Old dyes are still pricey.

Have you tried different servers? Or is it just a single server you have this problem with?

he summons the spirit of the rifle and molds it into various weapons to use personally.

here goes:

Theurigst
medium health
heavy armor
1 weapon
can wield any weapons for cosmetic purposes, still get the same 20 weapon skills over f1 – 4 different forms.

“the Theurigst channels spirit energy to summon the ghostly spirit of the equipped weapon and molds into various gigantic battle weapons”
- the actual rifle hovers behind the back and the theurigst
- the theurigst wields the ghostly spirit of the weapon, transformed into weapons

f1 – f4
toggles between battle various transformations,
rifle skill 1 – 5 changes completely, like the elementalist
graphically the ghostly form of rifle changes shape as well

f1 – giant fists
melee skills
movement skills

f2 – whip
medium range skills

f3 – crossbow
long range skills

f4 – cannon
aoe siege skills

hmmm just some concept.

What’s a Yomm?

He was one of the most important citizens (an asura) of LA before it became a “city.” He was a businessman who managed trade when the town was still young.

NSP does daily temple zergs at around reset time. You can try that.

It’s essentially a burst condi build that easily allows you to put 12-23 stacks of bleed on a target every 7 seconds, as well as near-constant burning and/or poison.
Using sharpening stone + splitblade works awesome.
