Phh. Apparently an ascended drop wasn’t worth replacing. Thanks guys. I think I’ll take a long break from this game.
Did you try contacting support?
Twice…. on two different subjects and I still haven’t received a response
You only need to put in one ticket, even if you’re having more than one problem. Putting in multiples delays your response time. It can also take up to 72 hours (sometimes longer, and I’d imagine they’re pretty busy after yesterday) to get a reply. So, wait until the 72 hours have passed. If by then you still don’t have a response, you can post your ticket number to the thread linked below:

I lost a fossilized ambrite centipede (the ingredient for ambrite sword). If I could get a new one, that would be great.
You’d have to contact support.
You know, I don’t mind things being on a timer. I also don’t mind having to puzzle out where to start things and how to do the achievement; I enjoy that. But it’d be nice to at least be told the schedule for parts of the new events. Or to at least not have the NPC say “I’m heading to this new location SOON” if it’s actually going to be a day (or multiple days) until she actually moves.
Account upgrades cannot be gifted, unfortunately. This includes character slots and the HoT upgrade. And no, you cannot gift gems in-game. You CAN send them the amount of gold it’d cost to buy that many gems, or you could buy a gem card (online or in-store) and give them the code on the back.
If you want to buy HoT for your friend, you’ll have to buy it on the website. You can then just send them the confirmation email with the serial code.
64-bit was working fine for me this morning, on a rolled back account.
You can craft as many bolts of damask, deldrimor steel ingots, spiritwood planks, and elonian leather as you want per day, as long as you have the ecto refinement items done. It’s these items that can only be crafted once per day:

Well,in my case you rolled back the whole day (8-10 hours of yesterday´s (23.august.2016) work thus i have to start the hirathi hinterlands region all over, and i was one vista from completion the region),to top this, aurorun also have its own will now turning on and off as it wants keeping me dead under the cliffs (have i mentioned that in this time during autorun i cant control the movement as mouse dissappears and is not responding along with movement keys?).simply this new patch made for me,new user, the game unplayable and thus im leaving it.so cya folks.
The patch went live yesterday morning, and then the game ran for about 2 hours and 20 minutes before they took the servers down. So, anything you did in that time period was erased. If you’re absolutely, 100% sure that progress you made BEFORE the patch was reversed, you should contact support. Your other issues sound like one of the following:
1. Your settings somehow were changed. You might want to check your settings in-game to see if anything looks amiss.
2. Your game has a corrupted file. You could run a -repair on it; that usually fixes most issues like that.
Perhaps the OP should examine the rest of the industry. WoW is the industry leader. Their servers (at least back when I played) were down every Tuesday for 5 hours for maintenance. If there happened to be a patch also, that downtime was frequently longer, and sometimes a lot longer. The longest I remember was around 16.5 hours. There was no compensation, despite the fact that subscribers were paying for time.
Yup. Just yesterday WoW (and Blizzard as a whole) had a DDoS attack in the morning, followed by a game-wide error preventing many from logging in for some time, a bug blocking the new patch content from working, and one of the most highly populated servers having an error causing mass disconnects over the course of two or three hours (maybe longer). This is on top of the usual 2 hour downtime for Tuesday Patch Day. Yet I didn’t see anyone in chat demanding compensation once the game was back up.
Alaoglu, I’ve already sent my request to the support, because I think that this is a real issue. To everyone who thinks that compensation is not needed: you should value your time more
I value my time plenty by appreciating that I get to play this game for free (buy to play) and that the game is working 99.5% of the time. Anet already said that they will replace important items that were earned during the 2 hour period; all you have to do is contact support, which you’ve already done. Anet agreeing to replace those items is more than enough “compensation”. And I still feel that being able to continue playing the game is also good enough as far as compensation goes.

“There are now mixed borderlands!
The red borderlands are now always the Desert borderlands, and the green and blue borderlands are now always the Alpine borderlands."
Go read the first post in this thread. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Rollback-details/first
Will we have any sort of compensation?
You get to play the game again with only a two hour rollback. That’s pretty good compensation, I feel.
So does something like this happen quick or is it a long process?
“The process of rolling back and then validating everything to bring the game back up will take hours. We’ll keep you updated.”
“This morning” probably means with the release of the most recent patch, I’d imagine.
The wiki page indicates that the stats are selectable after infusing it.

“This item allows selection of stats. See below for a list of available prefixes.”
No there is like one underboob armor and its for thief and its human cultural. There are like 3 midriff armors for heavy thats all and none of them are that good. The one that is alright has a better GW1 version, ANET ruind the GW2 version and made it worst. There is 2 norn cultural. I wouldn’t call that plenty. That makes up like 1% of all the heavy armor tops. 2 of which humans can’t use.
The pants that I am wearing are the only heavy pants in the game its sad and they are cash shop.
I do agree that there should be far fewer butt-capes and more pants. I love the pants from the Aetherblade set, and I wish there were more like it. But I personally feel there are a good number of “sexy” tops for heavy and (especially) for light. I do with medium had a couple more, though.

And then there’s the epic side-breast of the mistward chest:
http://dulfy.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/gw2-mistward-heavy-armor-female.jpg
There are plenty of midriff-bearing (even to the point of revealing side and under breast) armor pieces in the game, though. I’m not sure why you think this is a case of censoring rather than a case of questionable design.

Those are the ones that come to mind.
The mobs respawn before I can even take a step. I was wondering if I just dreamed that I had killed the thing. Come on people use a little brain power, huh? Not always but frequently enough to wonder what the heck is going on. Is there no delay between death and respawn?
It would probably help if you said exactly what your group as doing when you had your problem described in the original post. Was it taking a camp/tower/objective in wvw? Was it trying to hold an area for an event in pve? If so, which event? Different events and areas will have different things that determine the respawn rate of mobs. Regardless of your answers, though, Anet isn’t “cheating”.
How are the devs cheating here? If you take too long to kill all of the enemy mobs, then yeah, you run the risk of them respawning. That’s not cheating; that’s how the game is.
Did your group stay until the very end of the fractal? It’s not uncommon for people to try to leave that fractal early because of the delay between the end of the fight and the end of the fractal/getting the full reward.
No, the Digital Deluxe Upgrade does not include HoT. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Digital_Deluxe_Upgrade
Stitch-
Not necessary for your response, not going to explain to you as well (I can explain it to you in many ways and you will still not get what I can help you with); you can experience your own life till you understand what you are really contributing.
Stitch was trying to help you by explaining the difference between a bug ticket and a support ticket; the former will never get a human response, while the latter will get a human response. There’s no need to get defensive.
If someone has blocked you, you won’t be able to whisper them and they can’t see what you say in chat. You can send mail to the person who blocked you. And no, blocking someone doesn’t make either person invisible to the other person; you’ll still see that person’s character in-game if you run into them.
Edit: So yeah, you can’t send mail to the person who blocked you. As was indicated below, you get a message saying that player has you blocked. However, you can still send mail to players you have chosen to block.
(edited by RoseofGilead.8907)
1. No, but I haven’t been playing as much lately.
2. Yes.
3. Yes, all of the events in the zone.
4. Only once.

That sticky from the GW2 Discussion subforum has a good description of what to say and what not to say when making a post on the forums.
“*The Black Lion Trading Company is not liable for injury or death incurred by the use of the Storm Bow. Ensure that you are holding the Storm Bow properly, and do not attempt to destabilize the elemental subjection agent. Avoid bringing your Storm Bow into contact with water, lamp oil, ectoplasm, or necromantic magic.”
I avoid apple-tagging because I don’t need the stigmas, and most times, I don’t feel 100% capable of answering all the questions that might come my way.
My general strategy for rallying is to just ping the map obnoxiously until people show up. :P
Only people in your party or squad would see your map pings, unless you mean you’re linking waypoints in chat.
tl;dr – I like to help but don’t need a my tags to help. My tags are for me and my guild’s benefit.
That’s how I typically feel, too. I enjoy helping people in-game, but I rarely (if ever) tag up to do so.
Collector Terksli http://wiki-en.guildwars2.com/wiki/Collector_Terksli#vendor36 and going up to him with the claim ticket gives you a great selection of weapons that you can only buy with 2 black lion claim tickets. Nothing with any dragon’s jade claim ticket cost, despite what the wiki says. I’ve been stuck with this apparently-worthless ticket now for months.
Try taking it to a Black Lion Weapon’s Specialist.
Played since beta. Not sure how many hours because I’m not in-game right now.
1 precursor as a drop (random trash mobs in SE)
2 from forge (1 from tossing in all exotic maces, and 1 from tossing in a mix of armor and weapon rares)
1 given to me
It’s better to just make a completely new post. Necroing long-dead posts is against the forum rules. To answer your question though: it’s not a bug, and you do indeed HAVE to have the Shaman’s Etched Branch of Rage item. You can’t just put a sigil of rage into a Shaman’s Etched Branch of Accuracy to create it. You’d have to buy the staff off the TP or get it as a drop.
Still, I don’t think it’s a bug that an L78 backpack can’t use most infusions. I think it’s an oversight on ANet’s part: they should either remove the infusion slot entirely or convert AR to have a lower level requirement.
Yeah, I agree.
Have you tried contacting support directly to see if they can offer advice? Or posting over in the Account/Technical Support subforum, since this seems to be better suited for that rather than the bug subforum?
Agony Infusions have a level requirement of level 80, and the crafted backpacks are level 78. The +5 simple infusion worked because it doesn’t have a level requirement.
That’s what requires fixing, with the removal of simple infusions, that slot is rendered useless.
The attribute ones (mighty, precise, malign, etc. and 5/7/+9 AR) don’t have a level requirement, and so those can go into the crafted back items. However, those are harder to obtain for someone new to fractals, I’d imagine, since they require having 50 stabilizing matrix in order to purchase one.
What Caelestia said was that you get the Mastery point after opening the silver reward chest. Similarly, you may not get the achievement for getting silver until you open that chest, and the achievement is what gives you the Mastery point.
Check your achievement panel. Look for the Heart of Thorns achievements, and go to Verdant Brink’s tab. Check to make sure that Flying Circus: Silver is listed as completed. If it’s not listed as completed, then you either have not opened your silver reward chest or did not get silver. If it is listed as completed, then check that you didn’t miscount your mastery points. If you think you haven’t made a miscalculation there, then you should submit a support ticket.

If you put in a request in-game, you won’t get a reply because those are only bug reports. You have to submit support tickets through the website. You should also only submit one support ticket. You should get a confirmation mail in your email after submitting your ticket, and it can take up to 3 days to get a reply from support (sometimes a bit longer, but not usually).
You have to pick up TP purchases from a trading post NPC. You’ll find at least one in every cultural city, Heart of the Mists, and WvW.
The lag since the last patch is terrible.

I’m having the slow loading map issues that a few others have described, but it’s usually for just the first couple of maps I try to load (except for Hoelbrak; Hoelbrak ALWAYS has this issue for me). However, I haven’t noticed any lag or change in my FPS.
I just did the Justiciar Hablion fight for the Bloodstone Fen daily. He went from 100% to 50% health within 45 seconds, and then from 50% to 0% in almost the same amount of time. Also, about 10 of us have said that we didn’t get credit for the daily “kill Justiciar Hablion” achievement, either. We all got event credit and loot from killing the boss, but the daily achievement was not ticked.
Is Scrapper an advanced class? I don’t see it at character creation!
Scrapper is the elite specialization for Engineers. You won’t have access to unlocking it until you have an engineer that is level 80 (assuming you own Heart of Thorns, that is).
Look you guys can write a 50 page dissertation for all I care and you’re not going to convince me that the current solution of doing nothing is effective.
Anet IS doing something. Not doing what you suggest != doing nothing.
Well if all their players on this forum are just apologists for the inaction, no wonder they never try anything to stop it.
They’re not being “apologists”; they’re just saying that the idea of filtering the websites and blocking whispers from non-friends won’t work because the gold sellers always find ways around that.
Anet takes the gold seller issues very seriously by reading reports from players and banning the accounts doing the selling. There’s only so much they can do, though, because the sellers will always get more accounts (either by making their own free ones or by stealing accounts that made the mistake of buying gold from them).
In regards to the Shroud/weapon thing: You also lose any AR from that weapon when you go into shroud. That makes for a fun surprise in the middle of scale 100 if you’re not prepared.
I know you lost a lot of money from ecto investment.
But making a post about ecto gambling won’t bump up the price.
Some day, some patch, ecto price will rise. Don’t worry about it.
Yup, this.
Yeah, sinister would be the next best stats.
Movement and positioning are just a major part of staying alive and fighting in pretty much all game modes. Honestly, you’re going to have to learn how to manage dodging no matter what class you play. Unless you plan on only ever doing easy world bosses that don’t require avoiding any attacks. You can try binding Dodge it to a different key or mouse button if that helps.
Rangers and necomancers are good classes for having pets to take some of the heat off of you. Necromancers also have the added bonus of high health AND Death Shroud, which is basically a second health bar. Warriors have high health and a lot of stun breaks, a couple of temporary invulnerability skills, and good damage. All three of those classes are very easy to pick up, too. However, movement will still be required no matter what you go with.
