You can still get to hot-joins the old fashioned way though Personally, I hope they keep the practice button gone, hot-joins teach bad habits.

My understanding of it is that GS/Hammer has been “around” in sPvP for several months, and was popular in WvW well before that.

It is REALLY good against thieves when they use Shadow Refuge. Just throw your grenades in the giant AOE, and boom, they are revealed

Make the passive proc every 3 seconds and 1/2 the heal amount (which overall is a buff). Also, reduce the active cast time to 3 seconds.
Make these 2 changes, and you might see it get used, maybe…
Maybe even set it to like 5-6 seconds instead or SOMETHING! But people are losing health way to fast in this game for any passive heal to have a 10 seconds internal cooldown
For sure. I said every 3 seconds because Warriors Adrenal Health procs every 3 seconds, figured it was a good interval.

The Ascended gear grind is pretty easy IMO.
Also, you don’t need ascended weapons, the stat increase is tiny. You can play the game with exotic weapons and do fine.

Ranger is the least represented profession in high tier PvP right now, watch the last months worth of ESL tournaments, Rangers are at the bottom. They don’t need a nerf.

I think torch would be cool if it gave us a smoke field, or maybe a fire field so warriors are not so dependent on longbow in sPvP.

Balance patches are normally 4-6 months apart.
However, the expansion hitting in Summer (4-6 months from now) will completely alter the entire meta of the game. I highly doubt there will be any balance patches before the expansion.

ANET mentioned they will try to have a working beta in 6 weeks, at the next PAX east in Boston, first weekend of March. So you only get a chance to play it, or more likely watch someone else play it, if you are going to that PAX.

I asked about why he described guild teams and the new PvP game type and why he didn’t say the words ‘GvG’? He replied with multiple points. He said the GvG community is actually two groups that do not understand each other very well. One is the GW1 GvG and the other is the modern WvW style GvG. The modern WvW style GvG is something that could be a gametype of its own (sounded like he thinks it should but…).
However, ANet doesn’t currently have enough resources for the three gametypes it currently has. The PvE, PvP, and WvW teams just don’t have as much resources as they really want to make them into the ideal version that they are dreaming of (in the time they want it in). They do not want to pull people off the 3 core features to create a 4th which would cause neglect for all 4 core features.
As to whether or not the new PvP game type is going to be like the classic 8v8 GvG… they are not decided. They have play tested everything from 5v5 to 10v10. Nothing is set in stone yet for how the standardized setup will be, and likely will not be decided until enough beta testers comment on it. (HoT beta testing coming, no word on invites).

I say just play multiple professions! I got a warrior, guardian, ranger, and necromancer all at 80, and they are all fun to play.
I think GW 2 is the type of game you don’t want to focus too much on 1 profession, at least IMO.

I can agree with Mending being a Physical skill, and the Physical Training Trait going to the Adept level. Everything else is a little crazy though.
