Support takes a completely “hands off” approach to guilds. Guild security is the responsibility of the guild leader. There can be many problems with a guild, “a member took all our stuff and left”, “a member took xx gold without permission”, “a member kicked players from the guild without permission”, etc, etc.
As to a guild banks contents when an account is restored, it’s not the same. When a players account is hacked, the entire account is rolled back to a previous point in time. They do not restore what was taken, they restore the entire state of the account. To do the same for a guild would be a huge problem. Any updates would be gone, points earned, items deposited in the bank after the hack would be deleted, members added to the guild after the hack would be gone, etc. Your upset and it’s understandable, but it happens.
Have to hope support is merciful enough to refund you but it is very unlikely but you can try with support
This is misleading information. Anet has a very easy refund policy.
Click on support at the top of the page, then simply type the word “refund” in the support search box. If you still want to play, you should open a support ticket to discuss it before asking for a refund.
I haven’t received these essences at all, and they are not on any of my characters. I also emptied my mailbox and combed through my bank for clarification. Apparently, support wont help me. Great…. Now I’m at a disadvantage…

I felt the exact same way as you and made almost the exact same post several months ago. I was about ready to throw in the towel when I joined a new guild. I am once again having fun. Look through the Guilds section of the forum. You can post in the looking for a guild forum, or apply to one of the guilds looking for new members.

It would be easier for ANet to buy out them from the TP as pressing palyers to do such a grind just to remove some amount of things from the game. i’m sure after the event it will be much more candy corn floating around as before.
That would be a terrible idea. In order for the devs to do that, they would have to artificially inject gold in to the economy. That would be a sure way to screw up the in game economy very quickly and would not solve the problem.

This should come to no surprise to the GW1 vets as they did the same thing in GW1, with the same reaction from the player base. Many players where very upset with that decision as well.
During the Canthan New Year for 2007, you could get a mini pig. These where incredibly easy to get and many players had dozens of them. They where given away, sold and trash canned as no one really needed so many.
During the Canthan New Year of 2008, they added a vender to turn 5 mini pigs in to a mini celestial pig. The players who got rid of all their extra pigs flipped out, and there where many unhappy people, but also many happy people who kept their extras.
It did do exactly what the devs wanted whoever, it removed all the extra mini pigs from the economy. This will remove all the extra candy corn. Same devs, same solution to a similar problem.
Very easy solution. If a player D/Cs or leaves, a replacement player may join. If a player is kicked, that spot is locked and a new player may not fill it without the group going back to the beginning.
So you want to pay a monthly fee to get all the armor skins, keys. mining picks, etc?
So I join for a month, then loot the TP for as much as I can then go back to a standard account? Sounds like a great way for players to cheat Anet. On the other hand, you pay a monthly fee and end up paying far more then you would if you just purchased the items outright?

They do not delete inactive guilds. The only time I have heard of a guild being disbanded by anet was when it had an offensive name.
Where there any other guild leaders, or players with permissions that allowed them to remove players from the guild?
The other option, does your account look normal? Could someone have accessed your account and removed you from the guild?
This is actually more the norm for Anet employees. I have seen employees log in on their own time, and even while on vacation, to help a player with an issue with their account.
This is the way the game has always been since the beginning. If you are under attack while gathering, you have a chance of getting ruined materials. Nothing out of the ordinary, it’s not a bug or something that needs to be looked at. It’s just the game working as it was intended.

“Black” is a color. As far as I knew it is not an offensive word in any language, and it is even in the game itself.
The word you used, while it is a color in some languages, it is also one of the most offensive words you can use in others. From your usage, you knew what it meant and you still took the time to type it out. Contrary to what another poster said here, there are many online games that your suspend or ban you for using that same word. Your suspension was deserved and you know it was well as we do. You should be aware that the next time your suspension will be much longer as the penalty increases with each offense.
The chest seems to be only once per day just like the world bosses so if you have collected it already you would not be able to open it a second time.

It’s been discussed to death in so many other threads so I am not going to get in to the details again, but suffice it to say the players who insist on doing open world dueling are the worst kind of player in any game and end up ruining any kind of play experience for non pvpers. You can see it now with the costume brawl. They will have a whole map to do their thing in yet they will choose to do it right on top of other players. I play games to have fun and relax. GW has always been able to offer both. Once it no longer does there is no reason to keep playing and no reason to keep it installed.

As to where dueling is, it’s been answered many times before so there is no need to rehash all the arguments again, but it is not in this game and there has been no talk about adding it. You may as well be asking where are the flying mounts in GW2 as they are currently both in the same location. ;-)
well there should be some time limit to it, 9 months and still no response definitely it was ignored. If that’s the case i will move on by leaving this game if they ban me, after all its just another product.
There have been bugs that where reported during the betas that are still not fixed after well over a year.
What makes you believe that just because you have reported a bug, that it deserves any more attention then any of the other hundreds that have been reported?
Not all threads are responded to and in fact, very few are. The bugs forum is simply a place for the bug reports to be collected so the devs can read them all in one place. They do read the forum and do take notice. It’s called a bug report, not a bug discussion. Would you rather have them take the time to answer each and every report, or work on the game fixing the bug?

It is not really that hard to create a very secure password.
Use a simple formula, and substitute the information used. Below is a rough example.
Town you where born or where your grandmother lives = London
Symbol = @
Last 4 digits of phone#, address, birthday, etc = 0987
New password = London@0987
This password would take the average PC roughly 4000 years to crack.
You can be very creative using this format.
Your girlfriends name = Barbara
Symbol = >
numbers = 100%
(Your girlfriend is better then 100% of other girls.)
Password = Barbara>100%
4 million years to crack.

Krytan explorer is not tied dirctly to map completion. There are zones in the map wih no hearts, wps, pois, skill points, etc. those also contribute to Krytan explorer acheive. What I would suggest is to look at the wiki on the various maps that detail each zone in the map.
Look at any that do no have wp, sp, etc. if it is “fuzzy” on your map that is the culprit.
This is correct.
The explorer achievement’s are tied to the areas explored. This is what you would see as a pop up on the screen “you have discovered xxxx”. As an example, if you look at the map at the link below, it will show all of the different areas you need to discover to clear the map, but note that not all of the areas have WP or POI in them.

You are getting infractions because you are calling out the devs and making threats. You reported what you consider bugs. The devs are NOT going to give you a personal answer, and threatening to keep reposting it over and over until they do is going to get you banned sooner or later. Post the bug in the forum, then go back to playing. The devs do look at the bug reports, they do fix them when they can, and they are not going to give you a personal answer and fix your problem first just because you threaten to make a pest out of yourself.

I must say that I for one am not interested in gaining rank in anything… I think that its a waste and why should I invest all this time for a title! Even in COD I think the levels of prestige are dumb. My goal in COD was never to prestige, but to unlock all my attachments and guns. I can do that without ever going prestige and I did. Now if you are telling me that I can PVP or WVW and gain rank for a reward or purpose then maybe I might be persuaded. That would involve them giving me more powerful abilities, spells or gear the higher rank I become. There are these people who are like, “look at me and check out my rank!”, I am not one of them. The reason I play shooters is to unlock new guns, attachments and the reason for mmos is to unlock new abilities and gear. By the way….. Cosmetic camo on guns or armor is not a unlock in my book and a waste of time just like mmos that only reward you with cosmetic gear or a title.
I want a true reward for my effort like the next best item (Gun, attachment, spell, ability, and gear).

And like others have said, I have never heard anyone complain in the FG trains about anything being dead. They spawn so quickly if you take the time to complain in chat, you would miss the next one as well.
Completely unworkable. 2 completely different games running on completely different servers using different engines and game mechanics.
On FB, it all depends on what time of day it is and who is on. Some times it’s a lot of fun, more about playing with a bunch of players while chatting. Other times it’s toxic when you get a group who try to take over the train complaining it’s not being run in the correct order. We have 1 guild who are the most toxic of all. When I see any of them in the train, I go to Frost Gorge instead. At least on our server FG is like night and day. Runs smooth, people joking and having fun almost all the time. Even when a champ is killed “out of order”, no one rages. Instead everyone just goes on to the next one.
There are already plenty of discussions about raids in the suggestions forum.
If you really want to know, you should go and read the threads there as there are hundreds of posts already.
But Knighthonor.406, why are you still playing? From your other posts, you dislike almost everything about the game and want the devs to turn it in to a generic game with the same features in all the rest, so why are you still playing? It really does not make any sense. Instead of complaining about everything that you want in this game that they have in WoW or Rift, why are you not playing those games instead?

Anet will not restore your character. Account restorations are reserved for people with hacked accounts, and there’s a strict guideline as to whom would qualify. By the admission that your own family member did this, from your own computer, automatically excludes you from this service.

This right here sums it up. Support has stated several times that the “evil little brother” excuse is not accepted, so there is almost no chance they will accept the “evil little sister” excuse as well. I am sorry for your loss, but the security of your own computer is your responsibility.

It’s been discussed in he accounts issues forum before. The response has been 1 click = 1 action. So if you click a single button or key and it does 2 actions, it is not allowed. I can’t find the exact threads, but try looking in there.

From my experience as a mail admin working with different ISPs, I can almost guarantee what the issue is. Many ISPs allow users to report messages as spam. There are a large number of fake emails being sent that claim to come from a valid anet address. Users will report these fake emails as spam. The filters in use at most ISPs cannot tell the difference between a legitimate email and a fake one, they only look at the “from” address.
In this situation the real emails are being lumped in with the fake, because there are more fakes and they are being reported. This is next to impossible to correct unless Anet can work directly with ISPs, which is a monumental undertaking in itself as most ISPs will not work with anyone.
Congrats I guess? Are people still even bothering with doing that? I thought it was pretty much a dead event now.

It sounds like your game files where damaged. This can happen any time you power off a computer while file processes are being performed and can even make your computer unbootable. I would recommend letting the game repair itself.

In all honestly, it does not matter if an email address is legit or not. It is very easy to forge a return address so even an email from a “real” address may be fake.

False acc termination for gold selling

You are trying to over analyze it. There could be many reasons for a ban for gold selling. Support is not going to tell you exactly which combination it was that flagged your account no matter how many times you ask. You have your account back, so you are all set. Gold sellers are not given a second chance so if they still thought you where a gold seller, you would still be banned.
Right click on his name, select report then gold selling.
Right click on his name and select block.

Cox communications has been placing legitimate email from guildwars2@ncsoft.com in their spam folder as well.
I spend so much time on these forums I now use kitten in real life. lol
Maybe we need to have “kitten day”. Everyone use “kitten” for all verbs everyplace on the forums and in game. I can just see the chat in LA now, LOL!
As has been said many times, the filter is not a license to swear or use inappropriate language. As far as in game behavior is concerned, you should pretend the filter does not exist as it has no bearing on what players say in game. It is simply there for players who wish to block language.
As to what is considered inappropriate language, if you would not say it to your grandmother or daughter, don’t say it in game.

LOL! No one “uses” that word. It’s the forums “bad word” filter. Anything they consider to be inappropriate is replaced by the word “kitten” automatically.
