Please add more fun to GW2.
Why take so long to add new fun features?
Can you be as little more specific?
Just what is “fun”?
What you consider fun may be completely boring to someone else, so you need to give a few examples of what you mean by fun or it’s a pretty meaningless post.Maybe they mean adding something that isn’t a temporary achievement grind or solely for the cash shop?
Like what for instance? Some people actually think the temporary content IS fun.

Ecstasy.2483, no one has been trolling you. Both Inculpatus and bluestocking have given you sound advice that you have chosen to ignore. There are procedures that will get you the most help in the fastest way possible, but again, you have chosen to ignore those procedures. You say you want an official response, but that is what tickets are for. Opening multiple tickets on the same issue will slow down response as both tickets have to be researched in the que, then merged, then the duplicate has to be closed out, THEN support can start to work on your issue. Do you see the problem there?
How much you spent in the gem store is meaningless. You are no better then a player who has never and will never spend any money at all. You are simply a player. You can threaten to never spend another dime, but that will get you no where.
Please add more fun to GW2.

Because the dev’s have never said that will be no expansions. They have stated that they are working on any atm, but that does not mean they are off the table.
Well saying they are going to use the LS instead of expansions is pretty clear.
And since there have already been at least a half dozen topics on this in the past week, do you really think just because another one is posted it is going to make any difference?
This thread will simply be merged in to one of the other threads so they can all be tracked in one place. You guys don’t seem to get it, if you really want the devs to see how you feel, you need to keep the feedback in one location instead of spread all over the forums in multiple useless threads.
Here is your official word from the devs.
Colin Johanson:
“Expansions are definitely something that we’ll potentially look at in the future, We don’t have a timetable on it. We’re open to it, but I think our major focus as a studio is making the living world concept as strong as possibly can for the players that we’ve got.”
We want to be able to have teams that are literally developing new, innovative features that change the way that you play our game and grow that experience so it literally feels like you don’t leave Guild Wars 2; Guild Wars 2 becomes Guild Wars 2.5 or Guild Wars 3, and it continues to grow,"
(edited by ShiningSquirrel.3751)
The reason I posted this as it’s own topic was to make sure that was actually read. Once it has been I have no real objection to it being merged with similar threads.
So you violated the forum terms and clutter up the forums with more repeated subjects, for pretty much no reason other then you wanted to?
Very nice.
Posting a second topic is not going to make sure it is read, it only clutters up the forum and shows a lack of respect for the mods and the other posters here.
While i wont disagree with fighting more elder dragons im not going to say Expansion is the only option . I DO think they need to focus the LS more on opening up more areas rather than changing old ones though
The devs have already said, no expansions, they are going to use the LS to open new areas, add new races, etc. The LS IS the expansions. The content that would normally be put in to an expansion and released in one big push, will instead be distributed in the LS a little at a time.
I don’t know why some people seem to have a hard rime grasping the concept and keep asking the devs to repeat themselves over and over again.
Is there a reason you needed to create a new topic for this when there is an identical one right below it? Have a heart and don’t keep creating more work for the mods.
In the Salma district, there are small ones unguarded.
They are crunchy, and taste good with ketchup.
What you are describing sounds like a typical bad memory chip issue. I had this happen to me, repair after repair, and it still crashed. Reinstalled, still crashed, but nothing else on my computer was having issues. Ran a memory scan, found a bad chip. Replaced the bad chip and have not crashed again. If you have not done so, try downloaded memtest and give it a try. http://www.memtest.org/
I think the people who have posted so far have missed the entire point of the OP.
Nah, pretty thinly disguised complaint about the fotm level reset.
I see this with SB a lot. I have seen players argue about who is going to go do the events, or ask “is anyone doing the pres”?
I do them all the time.
It’s not a matter of knowing where they are, when you look at your map, they are clearly marked and very easy to get to.
As a solution, I like the idea of the more pres you do, the better your drops for the final event.
And maybe put a timer on the pres, don’t do it in time, the event timer resets. That should stop layers from doing a train on the pre events as well.
APs are meaningless, just like level 80 in fotm is meaningless, just like the leaderboards are meaningless. The game is supposed to be about playing and having fun, not who has the highest numbers on their account. IMHO, they should reset everything on a rotating basis, maybe every 90 days.
You need to open a ticket with support. Top of page, left hand side “Support”.
Then top of page, right hand side, “Submit a request”.
more than 55 hours ago :s
Then it was not even 2 days when you posted this thread. You can’t claim support does not respond if you don’t give them time to respond.
You should avoid submitting multiple tickets as that will slow any response you will receive. How long ago did you submit your first ticket? It can take up to 72 hours for a team member to research your ticket and respond with a solution or a request for additional information.

PVE leaderboards are pointless as many ppl know. They can also be ignored, which is what a lot of ppl will do to no negative harm. I understand the frustration ppl have for the reset of fractals lvl, I also understand why they did it. In the grand scheme of things, it’s not a huge deal. Just an annoyance. It is in no way the same as a full lvl reset as that would affect everyone. The ppl above lvl 30 in FOTM is unlikely to be more than a minority (altho that is speculation based on this being a casual game).
ALso, no free speech laws were broken. This is a private forum and doesn’t fall under a country’s governing free speech laws.
it is not a private forum. If it’s private, you can not post anything on it. This is a public forum for sure.
And we should have the right to seek information and ideas; the right to receive information and ideas; and the right to impart information and ideas.
No, this is a private forum owned an operated bay Anet. You are a guest here and have to register in order to use it. Anet can revoke your membership at any time for any reason, or no reason at all. Freedom of speech has nothing to do with these forums. If you say something on a public street, that is free speech. If you come in to my home and say something I do not like, I have the right to tell you to get out. BTW, talking about law suits and suing is also against the rules and can not only lose your access to the forums, but also ban you from getting any help from support at all.
The rules are on the main page, right where they always have been. Upper right hand corner, “Learn more about the Forums”. Please read them before making any future posts to avoid issues.
How dare you call me a minority. This has been suggested several times in the suggestion forum (where this actually belongs). These threads had bout 2-3 loves, and 100’s of hates!
And all for the reasons I sad. No it is not just bad luck. And your persistence is actually proving my point. I also stated that I am for duelling, but not in the open world, but in GH’s.Im sorry if I offneded you! And I remember the LFG was also “shot-down” several times by many members of the community, and Im talking about massive [+]s!
Persistence? Cmon man, im just defending my point, you dont expect to come to my thread, go agaisnt my point and expect me to not do a refutal! I think i know the problem now; your threashold for “persistence” is low. Anything that goes agaisnt your point is already a “persistance”, perhaps….?
Anyways, lets not derail the thread! Thank you for agreeing to duels in GH, Im also with you, in fact, sure I would love to have it in GH, but my ambitions goes beyond that, and into beautiful places, places in the map that otherwise would go unnoticed.
Yes, all those lvl 40-lvl 70 abandoned zones with beautiful landscape, I want to fight there! I want pretty escenography for videos and for myself.
We are on the same book, Im just one chapter ahead
The main problem is most of us have already seen the dozens of threads on this same subject, the hundreds upon hundreds of posts, (mostly all saying no) and just are sick of hearing about it any longer. suggestions belong in the suggestions thread, where all of the previous threads have been moved to, as this one will be very shortly.
You see, your coming late to the table. We have all discussed this before, so MANY times before, so when another thread about this is posted all we see is "oh no, not another one of “those” threads".
Well there where many of us who said the leaderboards where a bad idea right from the start, looks like it’s even worse then we thought.
Some players have reported receiving the chest after their accounts where hacked and where recovered. You can keep the chest, but once a rollback is done, it will disappear along with anything you have done on your account after the rollback date.
If you purchased multiple tools, you can ask for a refund of the gem purchase price.
Just open a ticket with support. Many people have already done it and received their refund.
With that said…. See you in the Edge of the Mists. And no, I am not going to tell you anything further about how awesome it turns out to be, because that is against the EULA.
According to the official announcement, there is no NDA on this map, and it is not against the EULA to speak about it.
0-5 would be RNG, with 5 as the rarest. I have played from beta, never had a precursor drop, so when did they change the drop rate on precursors? See what RNG means?
Anet has said several times that they will not port to PS4 or any other console for that matter.
The most obvious reason being their frequent game updates.
They will instead focus on PC, which gives them the freedom to ship a new built whenever they need toWhile I have little doubt we’ll never see a PS4 version of GW2, I dont see the logic of your reasoning. An MMO is always online. You cant play without updating. Why would frequent updates be an issue on PS4? It would just start the launcher in full screen mode, change the controls to PS4 controller and voila – PS4 version of GW2. The actual console architecture is a HTPC otherwise, they shouldnt have to do much else with the game itself. Of course they may need a bigger team to have a PS4 and PC Q&A/feature implementation but that sort of comes with the territory. They’ll get cash from PS4 game sales anyway.
Personally though, I’d rather see some type of action MMO on a console, it just fits it better. 3rd person “raid” type MMOs would just feel constricted. For example I cant play GW2 without live WvW in a browser on the second monitor, TS and Vent at the same time. But I wouldnt be adverse to say… an Elite style MMO. Space combat fits a controller perfectly.
A while back I remember reading about this, the main issue is Sony and Microsoft require “patches” to go through them. Anet would have to create a patch and submit it to the console manufacturer, who would them have to approve it before loading it on their servers to be distributed. There are many online games that are not going to to jump through hoops to patch their own game.
I find this quote funny
““PS4 architecture lends itself well to MMOs, because we know we can use the stable platform – where we know everyone has the same hardware. That stable base is probably the biggest advantage that PS4 offers.””
GW2 is played on a wide range of PCs, so to take advantage of this “benefit” they would have to stop allowing PC based players to access the game. Not going to happen.
BTW, the PS4 really sucks. I have 1 of the launch versions. No 3D blueRay movie support, cannot play MP3s, my own movies, no DLNA support at all. It actually does FAR less then a PS3 does.

It is not possible to restore a deleted character. Support can restore an entire account only, but only if the account was hacked, and then only once per account.
I got my account secured right now but theres what happened , maybe it helps someone.
People told one of my characters are online and i got error when logged in. First of all what i did is change pass but he seems to be connected all the time , i deleted all authorized networks and i did try to disconnect him in panel but his IP just pops up instantly , so what i did . i deleted one of my characters and created new one .. thats how ( at least i think ) he finally got disconnected and never returned again , now after talking with support i have changed everything and i feel that account is secure , no strange behaviour at all , but there is damage , all my items salvaged , ascended sold .. its a mess , and my warriror was used to gold farm in cursed shore , i can see tons of trash from mobs ( 200 moldy bags xD and lots of junk ) … im still talking to support to see how it gets resolved , i mean damage isnt THAT bad , its like 200+ gold but ego is hurt.
What you are saying does not make any sense. If you where able to log in, there was no way they could remain logged in as well. You can only have 1 person logged in to the game at a time. Are you sure the IPs you where seeing logged in where not your own?
No, that behavior is not condoned. You can file a report with support. They do suspend/ban players for scamming but they will not tell you the out come.
Sadly they don’t care about deleted items.
I sent in a ticket a day or two ago and got a one sentence reply saying:
“While we understand your position, as a general rule we are not able to replace items left on deleted characters, and that is true in the case of the items that you have requested.”
In my particular case, I had deleted quite a few infinite gathering tools from my alts, because I was re-rolling some of them (I was unhappy with their race/profession/appearance), and since there was absolutely NO WAY to transfer those infinite gathering tools to other characters, because they were soulbound at the time, I was left with no choice but to delete them along with my alts (not to mention some ascended gear as well, but I don’t care about that).
Just recently… murphy’s law, the infinite gathering tools became account bound (go figure), and they won’t refund any of my infinite gathering tools which I purchased with my hard earned money. It is extremely frustrating that the items you rightfully deserve to get back, are refused, but I guess that’s the PC world we live in now.
In conclusion, I wouldn’t bother with sending in a ticket, you will just get the same response as I did :-/
Zoada,
It is understandable that you are upset because you made the decision to delete your harvesting tools and Anet will not correct your mistake, but posting in multiple threads complaining about it over and over is not going to help.
Support gave you an answer to your request, and it’s the same answer anyone who deletes an item then wants it restored gets. We know you are not happy with it, but you need to let it go. By posting about it over and over you are just going to make yourself miserable.
I don’t think I did it ASAP, but I can’t really remember to be honest. I believe I waited a day or two.
I believe I opened the chest, but it never showed up in my bag. I assumed that it was an issue that would be hammered out and that I’d receive it since I had the achievement completed in my achievement log, but it never showed up and no message from ANet, so… I figured I’d post about it.
That may be the issue if your not sure you opened the chest or not. After the event, you had to walk over to where the mad king was and open the chest that was on the ground, if you did not open it, you would not get the mask.
Hated factions. Worst part of GW1. All it did was create guilds that required minimum amounts of factions be donated each day by members. Hope to never see anything like that again in GW2.
Nobody forced you to do it. Why didn’t you join a guild whose members were dedicated to that?
If I just said I did not like it for that reason, why would I join a guild that did that then? Your suggestion makes no sense.
But to answer your question, I was and still am a leader of my own guild in GW1. I did not like the way some guilds forced their players to farm faction daily to remain members so there was no way I would ever quit my own guild and join another guild that I did not like.
Factions was not a fun area to play in. Parts of it where just plain ugly and depressing to play in, and the whole idea of “factions” was poorly implemented and added nothing to the game.
Anet does not send emails telling you your account is closed/banned/suspended, etc.
It’s a phishing attempt.

(Snip)No one on the forum will be able to tell you what happened. Only support can do so. Your options are to contact support and have them tell you or to let the account go.
Gaile Gray confirms “GW2” accounts are not “deleted” for inactivity, that’s a good thing, but my question is about GW1, and blocking.
About posting in forums, support people browse this forums and answers questions many times, and also maybe other players could share similar issues. That’s the purpose of this section of the forums, I think.
They do not block GW1 accounts for inactivity, you have been answered several times, the answer is not going to change. Support looks at these forums, but the only answer you will get about your account is “open a ticket with support”. As Astral said, you only have 2 options, either open a ticket, or forget about your GW1 account. Normally when a GW1 account is banned, the GW2 account would be effected if they are linked, so I strongly suggest you contact support before you lose your GW2 account as well.
Why not simply give us Travel mounts ,so the game can determine the difference between a player running the map and a player thats ready for combat?
So what your really saying is you want mounts and want to run right through a mob without them attacking you?
In a word, no.
No I told you what I wanted. I want fall damage to not put us into combat. the rest of that stuff, you added, which I never said.
It’s quoted right there in your post, what do you mean you never said it?
Why not simply give us Travel mounts ,so the game can determine the difference between a player running the map and a player thats ready for combat?
Did you or did you not post that? It’s in your original post on the top of the page.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thanksgiving
4 other countries that celebrate it as well, so I guess that shoots down the “it’s an AMERICAN holiday” argument.
Personally, I don’t see the need for it in GW2. They do not do Saint Pats, Easter or any of so many more, so why should they do Thanksgiving?
As far as I’ve seen as an explanation on the forum before, the nodes move for one reason, the map was empty. The map is emptied when no one is in there and whenever they have an update. When the map is empty it ‘disappears’ and when it reappears when someone then enters the map, the nodes reset.
Malchor’s leap might be the only one that empties out occasionally and that also has a node tracker kept on it. The only practical way to test this theory would be to track nodes on a low population server and a low use map and see if this happens.
On Desolation the only map (out of all the maps with a daily chest event) I see this happening frequently is Mount Maelstrom. The fastest I’ve seen was something like I do the golem event, grab a few platinum, switch to another character for a different event then go back to Mount Maelstrom and it has already changed.
It is very easy to notice the node movement right now because of the toxic seedling patches but it was always easy tell in Mount Maelstrom.
Maybe it was Mount Maelstrom that I keep reading about the nodes moving, not Malchor’s. That map might be far enough off the beaten path to occasionally empty out, even if it’s only for a few seconds.
I see the nodes on frost gorge changing all the time, and that map is never empty with the champ trains running. The nodes also change all the time on queensdale as well.
I do Frostgorge runs for ori and ancient wood every day and the only times I see the nodes change there is after an update. I have alts parked at a node at the end of each days run and when I log back on the next day, they are still beside the node. None of the ones on the map have moved.
Funny, the ones on my server change all the time. Sometimes they are right next to one of the champs, then across the map by where jormag spawns. Never seem to be in the same spot twice.
What server are you on? Could it be one that is low population and that map empties out sometime during the off hours?
Fort Aspenwood.
Support is not going to tell you exactly what you did that looked like botting, so do not even bother to ask.
What was detected could have been detected a while back as they do not do instant bans for botting, they do them in waves. Since they do not tell us the time frame they use, it could be as much as 30 days in the past or more. Only support knows, and they are not going to tell anyone as it would only make it easier for the real bots to avoid detection.
You have your account back, so the best thing to do is just forget it and move on.

Bump for Gaile.
They have been moving for a VERY long time, I believe right from the start. It used to be common for players to call out the current location of nodes.
There are a few that stay, like the ori node in south sun near the champ, but far more that change positions. It is intentional and not a bug.

Have you updated your ticket and asked for an account restoration? Account restorations are once per account, so make sure your account is secure before asking for one. You need to give support atleast 3 days to work on any issues. It’s the weekend, so response is probably going to be a bit slower. If you have not received any communications after 3 days, you need to post your ticket number in the thread listed below.
