Lag is getting worse, day by day.
Game is nearly unplayable.
Skills taking several seconds to activate.
All players/mobs freezing on screen for several seconds.
Rubberbanding.
Unable to gather as nodes do not respond.
Cannot pick up loot/open chests as game does not respond.
Load times between waypoints taking excessively long times.

For me, this all started the day of the DDoS attacks and has been getting worse ever since. Supports only response is “it’s a known issue and we are working on it, sorry”.

You can either remove him from the guild, or demote him but you would have to be a leader yourself to have permissions.

Yeah, the search function is terrible on here. The worst part about this thread is when the OP made it, there was another thread on the same subject only a few lines below it. Some people will not even try see if there is already a thread, they just make duplicates over and over.

There is nothing that can be done through the forums, you need to open a ticket with support. Top of page, “support”, then on the support page, “submit a request”.

If and when anet adds guild halls, which if they do may come waaay down the line, open world gvg would be a quick fix.
Like I said previously, there would be no interference between open world gvg and pve if there were boundaries and some kind of gvg arena OS.

Wvw no longer interfering with gvg (other players, orb bonus, sigil stacks)
New and dynamic gvg arenas

I really dont see any. The arena would not interfere with anything pve.

In GW1, Guild Halls where primarily arenas, that was what they where created for in the first place. Creating guild halls and arenas would be overkill. Guild halls allowed guilds to fight each other with an even amount of players. They also allowed players in the same guild to duel singly and in parties. If they do the same in GW2 it would be the best option for everyone, but there will always be the “open world” bit that will insist that they just have to be able to play right on top of everyone else and annoy them to have fun.

It’s just a coincidence, don’t try to read too much in to it. My mother is 89, she has never been anywhere near a video game and she got this email as well. As someone else said, I get email all the time to reset my Blizzard account, which I do not even have.

I agree. after being burned with ads for games that turn out to be nothing like what the real game is, if I can’t play a free weekend and experience the game for myself, I’m not wasting my money. I usually always but the collectors editions if it’s a good game to help development and get some cool add ons but lately it’s just not worth it.

Probably because its part of the game. Having pvp an almost seperate game within the game, which is what Anet has done (or at least has tried to do), has given Anet way more work than they can handle. Hence the fail of pvp and wvw.

No, they proved with Guild Wars that the PvP and PvE split works just fine. Awesome even. What they need to to do is get back to their roots, throw up a big middle finger to people asking for more mainstream MMO features, and turn this in to the great game it could be.

Clearly its on the road to being the greatest MMO ever. Tell me, when’s the last time you’ve cruised the pve maps? How many ppl have you stumbled into on your journey? One word; CASUAL.

Not even close! It’s on the way to becoming just another clone in a long line of clones if they don’t stop listening to the players who keep saying “this other game has this feature, why can’t it be in this game”.

OPen worl GvG is absolutely one of the WORST ideas anyone has suggested for this game. It would cause far more problems then it would be worth, and that IF it could even be added without screwing up so many other elements. If/when they add guild halls, that is when they can add GvG. With the wildly different guild sizes, what you can expect is 2x 5 man teams fighting it out in a guild hall. There is no workable way to have entire guild fighting it out in massive battles in the open world so don’t even bother thinking about it. Open world PvP has no place in this game and the players who keep asking for it are a very small minority who keep trying to turn this game in to some weird clone of some other game that they should just go play instead.

The scammers use a legitimate return address for Anet (spoofed). If you block them you will not only block the scammers, you will also block any real email from anet making support or account recovery almost impossible.

OK, then where is YOUR suggestion besides open world or nothing? It’s amazing how you seem to like to make arguments, that can just as easily point out how unreasonable you are as well. So you have said it yourself, you want open world dueling and that is all you want, nothing more will do. If that is your only option, then I vote no dueling at all and will fight tooth and nail to stop the devs from adding it in.

No one said you can’t have it and “not being forced to participate” has absolutely nothing to do with it, so you can stop trying to hide behind that excuse, it’s getting old and only shows that you have not even bothered to read any of the replies here or in the many other discussions. Separate areas set aside – rejected, they want open world.

There are many other suggestions that have been made, all rejected. The players who do not want dueling in open world have tried to come up with a solution all could live with. Your lot have come up with nothing. Now who is being selfish?

The “idea” has been tested in many games. It fails in almost all of them. There are very few where dueling works. Mechanics have been suggested so both sides could still enjoy the game, and rejected by the dueling players one after the other. The players who support dueling want what they want when and where they want it regardless of how it impacts other players. The pure definition of selfish. As to your other comments, read below.

1) Those who are afraid of dueling can enable an option which ignores any duel requests.

Actually you DO need to prove it (which you can not do) as your statement is 100% wrong. I have played several other games with dueling and have seen complaints about it, and I have complained myself. So you stating no one complained is false. Also, I normally will not comment on grammar, but PLEASE put spaces between your sentences as your typing is very annoying to read.

I am just getting sick of the world bosses. The mechanics are terrible for most of them.
Jormag is a good example, run to dragon, fear, run away, run back, fear, run away, repeat and rinse. I had had many time where I would run repeatedly back and forth never even getting a chance to get a single skill off. The fire ele is similar, one shot to knock you down, then they bounce your body all over the place so you can’t even attempt to rally. If a boss can completely shut you down so you cannot even use a single skill, that is not fun, it’s just poor mechanics.

If they add more bosses like teq, it will be the beginning of the end for GW2. The entire game will turn in to a couple of TSS styled guilds with no one else playing.

Just another attempt at open world PvP. It’s already been discussed.
And actually, wars with an entire guild is a terrible idea. I can see where a guild of 20 would have lots of fun being ganked by a guild of 400.

Your the one who brought up PvP servers in a discussion on duels, so you seem to be a little confused. And I do have to deal with costume brawls. Trying to use the bank, trading post or crafting and having a couple of players decided they want to fight right on top of your position. Waiting for a boss to spawn, same thing. Dueling would be a thousand times worse. Many of us have already seen it happen in other games, and with the quality of the community here, it would be far worse.

PvP servers would require a huge revamp of the code which is built around cooperative PvE. Then you’d have the issues of having two sets of similar code to maintain instead of one and the problem that any future changes would need to be tested thoroughly in both environments, slowing down the production cycle significantly. It’s not just as simply as “make a PvP server by flipping a switch”.

Why not insert dueling arenas in pve, that is, specifically designated areas for dueling between players? In fact, just put one dueling arena in Lion’s Arch to begin with and see how popular it is. If it works shove more arenas around the open world.

That’s been suggested many times before, and rejected by the duelists.
They want to duel right on top of other players, anywhere and everywhere they want.
It’s more a matter of showing off. If they can’t duel so everyone else can see how leet they are, they don’t want to duel at all.

FYI, this is not WoW no matter how much some players may want it to be.

The guild bank is not part of any account, but a shared resource for all members. When a restoration is done, only a single account is restored from point in time snapshot. To restore a guild bank, you would have to restore the account of every guild member so they where all reset to the same point in time. This would not be workable. Think of an account restoration as an account rollback. Would you really want to rollback an entire guild? Guild finances/storage and security are the responsibility of the guild leaders. Anet will not interfere in that regardless of the cause.

Makes me want to go back to GW1 and burn that tree to the ground before Scarlet ever has a chance to be born. I would gladly sacrifice the entire race of sylvari (and my own ranger as well) to be rid of Scarlet once and for all.

Duplicate thread gets the infraction, merge and ignore.

There is nothing Anet or support can do for you. They will not give you your progress, chests, dailies are anything else. I am afraid your only option is to do it over again.

So…is the fear that people are going to duel each other, then follow you around the map fighting? Do people follow you around now using skills just to annoy you? There are some things in PvE that I find to be a little obnoxious (constume brawl), but I’m perfectly find with them being in the game, and with people doing them while they wait around for stuff. I really don’t understand what the problem is.

Spend 1/2 hour in any game that has open world dueling.

I guess you have not bothered to read the many other threads of players getting items by mistake? There is even a person who recently got 2 green quaggon backpacks.
Your entitled to your opinion, even if it is grossly wrong and based on mis-information. Anet is NOT going to give you a free gift because you make a comment on the forums.

What Dueling entails, what people seem to want, is the ability for two people to say to each other “hey, let’s fight each other”, and then do so without anyone else coming in and interfering.

And that would work fine with an instance, but there are many players who only want to duel if they can do it right on top of other players who are trying to play other parts of the game. You have players who say they want to duel, but when a suggestion is given that would allow them to duel while not interfering with other players, they say no. Some of this seems to be more they want to show off rather then actually duel.

If they don’t want instances, don’t want arenas, then they don’t really want dueling. In GW1, they had a great system. Want to duel? just go to your guild hall and go at it. That would work in GW2 as well when guild halls are ever added, but I can guarantee you would still have players complaining that they want to duel right on top of other players in the open world or it would be no fun for them.

You got the backpack by mistake, it has happened before with many items that where mailed to players. Support usually says keep it and enjoy it as a free gift. It was not given to you because of anything you said, it was an error, not a bribe. FYI, this happened with the karka event, and continues to happen with the digital deluxe chests.

Making threats to sue is grounds to have all future support ignored. If you threaten to sue, support has no choice but to forward any support requests or other communications to their legal department so you may want to be careful making threats.

It’s amazing, a player gets a free gift in game, blows it all out of proportion and nearly has a melt down, because he got a free gift. How DARE anet be so evil, sending free gifts to players! ;-)

Using Guild Bank though has a risk. If your account got hacked and the hacker got into your guild bank(s) and empty them. You won’t get any back even with account restoration.

Yes, it happens all the time, just read the posts in account support looking for help and that is only the players who do not go straight to the support link and do not post.

Your not that smart this morning, there have already been dozens of threads with hundreds of responses already, the majority saying “NO”.

They are being sent out, be patient.
