I’ve already reported that RMTs are using these alt accounts to post their scam websites on the forums as “is it real?” threads.

Outfits are the solution, because they’re not limited to armor weight class. My Warrior and Mesmer can have the same looks once I apply an outfit. Best of all, they don’t require transmutations. It’s buy once and free forever!

Now on the discussion of more options, yes I agree there should be more. I want a schoolgirl outfit for my male norn Guardian, and speedos for my manly human Thief. If these outfits are put in the Gem Store, Anet won’t know what to do with all the money they’ll make.

They need to ban the accounts they actually care about. Their Main on their home server. Match the Ip’s to their main account. You know they sent their alt gold, probably from their main account. Atleast that or make them play through a VPN.

The people that do these things do them because there is little consequence.

I know its a cheesy and kittenty tactic that I don’t agree with but I don’t feel the player is doing anything that should earn him a ban. He/she is playing within what the game allows them to do. Asking to ban their IP so their main account is also banned is even more extreme. And besides, according to your post you would have entire guilds banned because we all know T1 has had a managed matchup every week where guilds play for a certain server one week, and a certain server next week. That would constitute entire tier/match manipulation. How about ANET simply works on the gamemode (WvW) like improving it, instead of banning players for using the game mechanics in their favor?

1) T1 does not manipulate matching. I do know that a bunch of BGs have accounts on JQ, but it’s inefficient, since JQ queues all their BLs 24/7.

As others have stated, Spirit Shards are the least of your worries. You need to have 69,000 Silk scraps to start your Ascended journey. Even if I sold them to you at a deep discount, we’re talking over 1,000 Gold just for Silk scraps.

If I sold you all the Damask you need at a deep discount, that’s still over 3,000 Gold.

So the real question here is “Can you afford it?”

On a side note, I have about 3,500 shards that I don’t really need. If Anet allows me to sell them, that could speed up your progress.

We were promised permanent action last time the troll was suspended, so let’s see if Anet holds up to their end.

GM Chris already takes care of hackers on lower tiers. It’s not favoritism, but the severity of the acts. The BG spy on TC single-handedly poked holes in a queued BL’s Keep, and allowed his team to rush it. JQ took advantage of the brouhaha, and joined in the chaos. In our case, the same person was already suspended twice, and Anet did that to all his accounts.

The continuous trolling on TC is enough to hit our morale, which in turn affects our gameplay. We just want to compete at a high level and have some fun fights. No one on our server cheats and trolls other servers. We just ask Anet to take care of the rule breakers so we can all fight cleanly. It’s the TC way!

I hear ya. Some players are unhappy that female charr have to share the same armor as male humans. At the same time, there’s an understanding that the charr model prevents a lot of outfits from properly fitting (i.e. capes on charr don’t work). In that framework, skirts would work because of the anatomy of charr in general. The tail can easily stick out from under a skirt’s rear. A long dress, on the other hand, would be difficult to code. I would challenge the Devs to find a solution to making more feminine outfits so female charr don’t look like males.

Feeling sexy isn’t just a state of mind. One needs to look the part in order to play the part.

Throw in a lot of high level Exotics for best results.

I’ve noticed it too. 9/10 rares I got from Lab Chest in SW would give at least 1 ecto. I now go through about 5 or 6 before I get one. Of course this thread is going to get filled by all the same people who love to deny people by saying things such as “evidence, numbers, RNG, or proof”. This is a call out to our favorite GMs. Michael and Chris probably already know about the BG spy that trolls TC every now and then. He shall remain nameless, lest I get in trouble for shaming him publicly. His alt and main accounts been suspended twice so far, but always comes back after his little vacation. I think it might be time for a perma-ban. Michael, I sent you details in an in-game mail. I tried to get another Anet dev to call your cell to have you log in, but it was probably late your time, so I’m hoping you got the message today. Left you details on exact times and locations.

So to those who aren’t aware, there’s a spy on TC that drains Keep supply before the BG zerg rushes in. He also claims Keeps so that our Commanders can’t +5 and buff defenses. Last nite, he Siege-Capped and supply drained us by building useless siege all over the place. He then proceeded to turn all Catas and Trebs backwards so they couldn’t be used for defense. Due to that, we lost our T3 Keep because we couldn’t build or repair anything. He is, in essence, the most effective troll in all tiers, NA or EU.

Chris, I ask of you to make this person an example, and record your banning of all his accounts. Please let us know when you post the video to Youtube, so that all of TC can bask in the glory of your deed.

Female charr need more love for their outfits. I would like to suggest to the powers that be to design more outfits that show off a charr’s natural beauty. Some short, cheerleader type skirts would be very welcome by the charr community. Mechanically, it would work, because the charr tail would be able to flow freely from under the skirt. I could go as far as saying that a long dress with a sexy leg slit (ala Angelina Jolie) would be awesome too. You would just need a slot for the tail to go through.

When inventing games these days all ideas have to revolve around how can this be exploitable and if it can be exploitable what can you do to prevent it.

This in all means can’t be fixed.

You can get from trolls, to guilds of low servers being paid to fill up one borderland and stay still not doing a thing. Have people spaying on all borderlands 24/7.

All this will make support work 3 times as much so they ban all the people from helping out the other servers from cheating.

So think of some way to make it work.

The main thing I’m trying to fix is the 100% useless “Guesting” option on worlds. So I thought maybe we could try something that lets us play with out friends on other worlds in a wvw setting since we already have pvp and pve w/ mega servers.

If your concern is spying and breaking stuff, well, in pvp I could join a game and pretend to be useful and look like I’m doing stuff, but in reality suck it up and hand the game to the other team. I can also do this in PvE, join a Teq or Tri Wurm and just leech the run without contributing anything except maybe enough damage to barely get credit.

I think you just answered your own question for your critics with some of your examples. If you’re trying to say that since you can manipulate matches in SPvP, you should be able to do that in WvW, the Devs will never consider your suggestion.

Jeez….Wanze’s TP totals are just humbling….he’s paid about 10x in TP fees than I have ever seen….

Thats just from the last 3 months though as the API only tracks 90 days of sale and purchase history and only from 1 account.

And my trading volume went up alot since the TP UI remake as it made alot of things easier.

Before that, I was usually playing around with only 200-400g in gold and not more than 30 different buy orders, otherwise it got too time consuming to update them.
Now I usually have around 1000g and 100 different items im buying.

To save time, you should consider more higher risk, higher value flipping. Instead of flipping 100 items for a 1 Gold profit, just flip 1 item instead. I’ve been doing the same item for weeks now, and I get 1 to 1.3 Gold per single flip. It’s helped me offset my major losses from Ecto gambling. The only risk as the moment is competition for my Buy Orders.

On a side note, I really REALLY hope you’re not the one who kept outbidding me for the Queen Bee. It’s like I had to update my offers every 30 seconds for at least an hour.

I’m all for it as long as the following applies:

1) Guesting bypasses the “full” status
2) I’m allowed to multi box so I can have my alt guest to BG, then I can tag watch for my main on TC.

I’ve been trying to get one my alts on BG for the longest time, but the server is never off of “Full”. Ever.

If I remember correctly, this only applies if you get the Pre-Purchase directly from Anet. The core game is a bonus.

This can happen when you have really bad lag. There are times when my lag spike is so bad, I have about 2 minutes of real time catching up within 5 seconds. I don’t think there’s anything Anet can do if it’s a connection or ISP issue on the player’s end. We just gotta live with it from time to time.

Now there is some drop research building up it’s pretty clear that this is just a lose lose activity which nobody will bother with. There is absolutely nothing in it for the player other than massive loss.

Actually, I found it quite fun to get the achievement, even though I lost a lot of money. I love opening things to see what I randomly get. Champ bags, chests, etc. I would have preferred it to be more than 2 AP though with the amount of Gold it takes. I’ll start my fun again after I’ve flipped enough stuff to build up my ecto fund. My goal is to buy the 20 Destabilized Ecto batch at least once.

Onto the reward. It actually serves two purposes. Not only can you buy destabilized globs anywhere you want, but it also acts as a portable merchant that you can unload your junk on. It comes in handy on long SW Chest runs or even in WvW when your bags are full.

Most of us can only based the speculations off of the anonymous former Dev. But we’ve since accepted that Cantha was removed, as per the huge Cantha thread.

Back on topic, with the inclusion of Nika, as well kitten many hints about the Zephyrites having visited this “far away land” and absorbing part of their culture into their airship, I’m hoping Colin give us what we all want. Personally, I would give up killing all remaining Elder Dragons to be able to visit Shing Jea, and have some Alliance Battles with the Kurzicks and Luxon.

I can’t always stay for a double kill. Penguin is sad to miss yesterday’s 2nd run. As I stated, Soren and Kenage do wonders with the weekly runs. But my criticism of the double HP buff still stands. I guestimate that it’s around 20 million HP now with full map scaling. If this were tweaked a tiny bit, Teq would be in the perfect place.

If done properly, GW2 has enough lore to last for 8 to 10 years. That’s more than enough time to kill all 5 Elder Dragons, as well as visit Cantha. It’s only a matter of time until we have the airships take asura to Cantha to establish direct gate access. Then Evon can expand his empire of trade across the sea.

Soren organizes and pays for the Guild Spawn, and Kenage leads the zerg. Both are capable players, and I don’t doubt their strategies. Most players in the zerg are current or former TTS members who know what to do, while pugs follow the lead. I don’t blame the failure on the Commanders, the Turrets, or the pugs honestly. I blame Teq for pulling a Goku, and making me feel like Krillin punching air.

An out that Anet has is that it’s been over 200 years since we were in Cantha last. If it comes out in GW2, they can make it look like modern day Tokyo. That’ll avoid a lot of the cultural discord.

Daniel Dociu already created an Asian themed concept art piece. Anet can just use this as the blueprint for modern day Cantha.

I obviously can´t speak for the other EU communities here, but i know for a fact that most of them used the exploit on purpose, without any second thought.

Most players will use the exploit, esp. since Anet said they wouldn’t punish anyone for it. Morally though, I’m against such cheap tactics. Teq used to be tough, but after communities like TTS paved the way for all guilds to succeed, now it was doable by even pug maps.

The HP buff just made the fight longer, not tougher. It forced some players to resort to using 40x DPS from the bug to get through burn phases. I’m glad to say that I’m not one of them. At least Anet is fixing the trait as we speak.

I’ve been in the TTS NA runs, and we’ve made a few discoveries that might shed some light on the situation.

1. Teq’s crit spot (anchor or head, I forget which) has more armor then his foot. Attacking the foot nets your more basic damage then you could even crit on the head during the burn phases.

2. Ranged attacks are a waste of time now. With the HP buff, there are just too many problems that can only be solved through double damage spots.

3. The other night we stumbled upon a triple damage spot by his anchor that (from what I remember) works in both the normal and burn phases.

4. Because of the HP total, burn phases are much harder to sustain. I don’t know the exact time of the patch, but the last Teq run I was in couldn’t burn through any of the phases, and usually costed an extra 2-3 min to shave the rest off in a normal phase. (I’m guessing this was post patch due to the abysmal DPS).

I’m pretty sure the triple damage spot is the only option now, as even a fully might stacked zerg had trouble with the burns.

I’ve seen the videos of the Guardian zergs stacking on the crit spot. I refuse to take the Easy Mode way out of Teq. Even in WvW and SPvP, I never misused my Guardian since the patch. Call it a dumb move or a moral high horse, but I don’t exploit (even if Anet says it’s technically not an exploit because it’s a bug). I would have preferred Anet disable the bugged trait immediately, than to double all the World Boss HPs.

This is just more proof that Anet cares about us players. Top notch team Gaile has there.

Exactly. People using the Guardian trick to exploit the DPS bug forced Anet to make the adjustments. I understand their World Boss buff was because of the insane damage people were doing. But since they disabled the trait, they should have made adjustments to the World Boss HPs at the same time.

I don’t see it as a challenge to ask your guild to bring 40 Guardians just so you can beat Teq in 6 minutes. It would be like getting together 5 pro SPvP players, and have them make a full Engi team and just spam Nades to 1 shot. I can only hope Anet hotfixes everything soon.

You described your problem, and rejected the obvious solution all in one breath. Gem Store items are meant to convenience. You seem to desire said convenience, but aren’t willing to pay the price.

If you read the thread you would see that the copper fed kit isn’t convenient for my playstyle, so get off your high horse please.

Simply buy multiple Copper Feds to equip your multiple characters. Anet offers the solution to you. Now you need to make the choice or accepting it.
