The Warrior turns to the guardian and says, “Did you hear something?”
Guardian replies, “No, but how’d the elementalist die?”
I think it would be much better to get rid of it. They could completely rework it to ‘Win 3 games on any profession in any queue.’ Which would make people actually care about the game and reduce class stacking, too.
+1, quoted for truth.
Sorry dude you missed it
We don’t know when future ones will be.
No Problem Gaile, your warmth and understanding is appreciated as always.

Environments:
Performance wasn’t so much an issue I felt. Given the increase to detail in environment, which are exciting to explore. I was impressed with performance. Its a step up from the current GW2 environments, I know people will have a lot of fun to explore and just take it in, its amazing.
Revenant:
The revenant was exciting to play. The skill animations are gorgeous to watch and play with and the VO was impressive. Jalis and Mallyx talk when u switch to them and use skills. I really enjoyed playing this profession. It’ll be interesting to see how the revenant establishes itself in the future.
Events:
Open world events felt like more of the same, I didn’t find them any different to what we’ve seen already.
The Wyvern fight was…. Disappointing.
It felt drawn out. Maybe this will get better as people learn the mechanics, but I wouldn’t be surprised if its an event that people afk at once they got a few good hits in. Having said that it looks gorgeous and I enjoyed to watch its animations as it would come in to attack you.
*I enjoyed the fight more this round, you could see that people were learning their skills which made the encounter feel more engaging. Still have concerns about the impacts of afkers.
Gliding:
Was HORRIBLE. Unless you live on top of an Anet server you can expect to fall a lot and to witness ‘zig zag’ effects on the thermal drafts. Ping/latency is definitely going to be an issue for your enjoyment of this.
*Is it possible, I think I dislike this even more. I tried to investigate it further but found myself getting further frustrated. As others have said their needs to be more of a tutorial around this. Further more, I once again kept dying trying to make short flights to the Wyvern fight due to latency issues. Very disappointing.
Overall:
I enjoyed my experience. The revenant is gorgeous and exciting to play, much like the environments. The Wyven fight was ok and at this point, I’d be happy if gliding was left out.
EDIT: *2nd stress test attended

I feel like I’m asking the obvious but wanted to double check.
If I make a mesmer during the beta Ill have access to the new skills/weapons/utilties?
Me being traited for support, I’m often the only one that stays at full health an entire fight.
This statement to me is more of an indicator of whats wrong in your teams, than something you should attempt to wear as a badge of honor.
The zerker meta is there for a reason. Many people have listed many reasons as to why, I won’t go into again.
A perfect team will sync in GW2. That is dps together, wipe together if need be (assuming equal skill). GW2 doesn’t have tanks, healers etc.
Assuming there’s even a place for you in a team as ‘support’, the fact that you want to highlight that your health is better than others isn’t saying much for your ability to do dps, which you should be. Never mind the fact that when the team actually ASKS you to support, you complain that you have to do it and wipe as a result.
All to often i see these ‘I play how I want to play’ threads, even if it jeopardizes the team.
It’s a compounding problem to.
People that like dailies but not their profession.
They won’t learn the dailies profession so much as just try to get good enough to get the daily so repeatedly participate. So you get stuck with below average players just doing their daily ‘farm’.
Sincerly, I much prefer my Blink to fail at times without consequences rather than having it go on full CD and porting me 2m further facing a wall instead of my retreat spot. Better yet, when you’re stunned and you fail your Blink, it triggers anyway. Great for reflex Blinks.
Pretty much quoting for truth.
‘full CD’
Getting punished twice over. One for it not working properly and two making you wait.
‘porting me 2m further facing a wall’
The frustration of knowing what you wanted to do, executing it and yet somehow the game said “Nope, but you can have this wall”.
‘Great for reflex Blinks’.

I can handle restrictions, provided we get increased reliability.
pointless since I can backstab u and u wont even know it and u might as well play first person view.
sigh
If I’m in PvP? or roaming WvW? I can adjust my settings if it becomes an issue.
But just an FYI you can’t backstab me in PvE and I’m assuming you wont bother if I’m in the middle of my servers melee train.
I want this to have greater adjustment.
Specifically I want to be able move it so that I show only part of my legs, say from the knee up or there abouts.
As it is there’s a waste of space at my feet and below, even worse when I zoom back. Even when I place the vertical position to the extreme right.
People may say that u need that space so you know when aoe is at your feet (how big etc.) and can dodge, or perhaps to pick things up.
This is true but, I know most encounters/engagements. I know my own limitations and my position relative to objects in my vicinity so it’s not an issue. If I had a vertical slider that went to far, well that’s the entire point. I could adjust it and bring it back to something that was more functional for me.
As it is, I feel it’s to restrictive.
Edit: It’s probably worth to clarify this. If you adjust you FoV to the far left, you can achieve the placement I mentioned above, but at the sacrifice of what you see around you. This is defeatist of what I want to achieve. I want to see more above/around me, not less.

Are you on speed? You’ve been posting now for 24hrs flat.
Come on. Is anyone really surprised we get EotM 2.0???
If you’ve been following these forums for any length of time you would have seen posts from DC talking about the success of EotM. About how forums posters don’t reflect the community as a whole etc.
Then come to understand concepts like ‘group think’ mentality and ‘office politics’.
It’s far easier to continue on with your ‘success’ than to admit to your failures.
survived for almost 2,5 year
Survived is a good word.
Do people remember when you had to make a trip to LA to see a specialist and pay them to reset your traits and rebuild.
By god things didn’t start well.
This deserves to be on the front page a little longer.
It’s pretty clear they bit off more than they could chew. I’m expecting Tuesday at the earliest.
Personally I don’t care for legendary weapons. They’re a common sight nowadays so they’re not unique and their acquisition (in particular the precursor) is about luck/grinding.
The only 2 points I would make is:
1) What if the chainsaw skin is re-released, it seems unlikely at this stage but its possible. It would therefore make it cheaper.
2) With HoT on the horizon you might be better to save your gold and see what comes then so you can drop a bundle on something nice.
Having said all that, ask yourself the question. How would you feel if you DON’T get the chainsaw skin. If you find yourself feeling like you missed out on something big, then its worth considering.
OP not to be rude, but you’ve only been playing for about a month judging by your post history. So probably spent even less time in WvW.
If after 2 years you want to fight more NPC’s than players I’d be very surprised. Indeed I’d be surprised if you were still playing WvW if you mainly fought NPC’s.
Good idea, the sort of skills she could use would be to change things at will for no reason and to appear and reappear at will.

I like how every other day, someone makes a new thread about the very same thing.
It shows you that people don’t like it, doesn’kitten
The thing that concerns me is how slow they are to respond to these ideas. We had a permanent Skyhammer thread on page 1 for the longest time, maybe we should do that with dailies.
For the LONGEST time, I had 8 level 80’s.
Oneday for giggles I decided to insta level a 2nd mesmer with ToK. Well, the NPE made this an incredibly painful experience. All the gate keeping that went on was just infuriating as a veteran player.
If I’m stuck without weapon swap, utilities, elite skills etc. because I can’t use ToK and forced to go through the NPE imma punch someone in the kahoonies.
@ Piper.
It is a bias, necromancer is equally discriminated against, there’s many threads about this. Dailies should be rotated across professions equally.
Unfortunately most responses above don’t know any better.
If you’re playing solely for the daily there’s faster ways to get it.
If you dont fall into the above category, then why bother ?
He mentioned dailies which you got stuck on, the bias is still there.
I’ll still never understand the logic behind removing, rather than improving it.
That’s how I felt.
At the time of its removal we had Skyhammer at it’s ‘best’ one-shotting everyone, Bunker’s running orb on Spirit Watch not fighting anyone and we still have people preferring to fight npc’s rather than people for Legacy of the Foefire in ranked games.
Remove the water element and you had a map greater than these.
It’s been asked a lot.
Personally I REALLY don’t think that ANet want to put people into the position of having to decide which of their beloved toons they want to delete to make way for the new profession on day 1 of HoT.

You’re a pretty terrible forum specialist.
That’s a really stupid thing to say.
Additionally your ‘play one ranked game’ makes no sense. Why push noobs into something where they should be unranked, and why promote a format where once someone gets points they can just afk the rest of the match.
Had to post….
Just come from a game where i watched a thief drop a bunch of conditions die, then rally from npc dying then drop a bunch of conditions die again, then rally from another npc. Repeat 3 times then drop condi on lord and kill.
He did next to nothing the rest of the game, only knew how to fight npc’s.
Other professions have dailies 2-4 times more often.
lol gg
We have to get 1 expansion slot.
I REALLY don’t think that ANet want to put people into the position of having to decide which of their beloved toons they want to delete to make way for the new profession on day 1 of HoT.
+1
Also a couple of PuG games bring in people that just expect to be carried and have a poor attitude. It’s clear they are just their for dailies and have no interest in their profession.
Nvm the fact that the rotation for daily winner seems skewed. Is it just me or is warrior more regular than mesmer??
an interesting read that hopefully the people at ANet have looked over http://www.vg247.com/2014/07/09/league-of-legends-smite-heroes-moba-bandwagon-disaster/
GW2 has a lot of originality in it’s platform here, but they run the risk of being all things to no people.
That’s a fascinating read.
I’m not dredging through 7 months worth of posts in the forum, not when search is currently broken just to not bug you that the topic was once talked about several months ago.
I don’t think people are bugged by your post, I think he was just trying to be informative in that while we all agree with your ideas, they’ve been talked about before.
And because search is broken and because we get infraction warnings for bumping posts that devs have responded in were limited to linking them in posts like these otherwise the information is simply just lost.
If anything were bugged by ANet.
^ You are aware that you can still access the other parts of the story, right?
So everything since the start of S2 have been permanent as well.
The fact that he’s joined mid way is what u should be paying attention to. He has one episode unlocked so it makes sense he would try it.
Unless someone has OCD tendencies or is some kind of lore/story telling junky. Most people will typically play whats given to them and see if its worth the investment.
Just wanted to bump this because it’s surprisingly annoying.
Credit to the OP tbh. It’s a good system that people should use more if they like their K-Trains.
Having said that its unfortunate EotM is considered WvW and he had to post in the WvW section.
I’m sure the average WvW player doesn’t give a $#@% about K-Trains.
Only a WvW player doesn’t read the WvW forums.
Wait! What? <.<
If we give up on it, Anet might believe we stop caring about it.
That requires an assumption that they care about us (WvW) which 90 % of us (WvWers) don’t believe.
Well I wont give up on it :p
Running out of achievements to do
Truthfully I think most WvW vets dont even READ the WvW forums anymore, let alone bother to post on something that has been mentioned many many many times before.
I typically fall into that category but had a pang of nostalgia and thought I’d pay a visit.
Yep, looks about the same.
There was a HUGE thread on this going back a few months ago now. No dev responded to it, no changes were made.
EDIT: On second thought I think a dev did respond, cba looking for the thread now and Im pretty sure were still not allowed to ‘red necro’. In any event, no changes were made.
(edited by SoPP.7034)
Thx God the OP isnt the CEO of ANet or hed start blocking my isp for being an oceanic player. Perhaps he should stick to single player games, then he wont have to put up with us.
Same happening to me.
I have to get kicked by losing to much health and rejoin and then my actions are recorded perfectly and I can successfully achieve my daily.
This has happened across subsequent days and only recently. When the update initially went live I NEVER had this problem.
+1
Just a little heads up, GW1 plays NOTHING like GW2.
Any good way to use up this stuff? Aside from throwing it out.
Im just comparing it to Bloodstone Dust/Brick which I have a few good sinks for now.
Soon I’ll have a problem with Dragonite Ore/Ingot’s filling up space.
Any advice?
You lose bloodlust stacks when you jump into the water but can still be on fire.
It died because its not part of EB anymore.
That and the fact that rewards are not account bound anymore and made toon bound.
But in all seriousness your right, OS really started to die off once it was taken out of EB. As you said mesmers couldn’t advetise portals and additionally ask for help.
At release I would get into some of the most insane fights in OS. Hiding on my mesmer and avoiding the enemy zerg to portal up are zerg and watch a huge fight break out.
I’ve not seen anything to replicate this sort of spontaneity and intensity ingame ever since.
Courtyard needs a lot of tweaking and new mechanics on it, like for example, having 3 rounds so the team who gets the momentum doesn’t win without any chance of losing, it needs to prevent spawncamping as well, in short it needs balance and A LOT of polishing..
Yer I just can’t see where the play testing was. All I see is blow out matches, either you dominate or get dominated.
It’s a total snowball affect.
so I take it you would rather go in a game with a possible 4v5 matchup, just because its annoying to click a button a few times ?
Or have a better system in place that takes it into account?
Lets not argue extremes, anyone worth a kitten doesn’t want a 4v5.
So how many subsequent times have you had to accept only to have one person fail to?
10+ and counting here (I lost count after that)
TC is kind of pushy right now, but we always hope JQ and BG come out to play.
There are new people in TC, interest in PvP in our WvW guilds, we are looking for a challenge.
Don’t sell yourself short tho. TC is winning because it’s a robust server whose RP population took to WvW in ways that most people couldn’t imagine. It’s a great community that makes people want to log on and fight together.
JQ has lost more players and doesn’t have the ability to push TC in the way it once could.
BG as always is doing its in between seasons tanking thing, looking weaker than it is. Make no mistake, they’ll stop playing with themselves when next season rolls around.
If WvW is dead, the community killed it, not anet.
How can there be different outcomes and new fights each week when every server is tier locked because we, as a community, have stacked servers so much.
Neptune has a point tho.
For example 2 weeks after free transfers ended guilds started leaving SoS I mean…… 2 WEEKS!
That sends a pretty big message to Anet that the community can and will manage itself while paying money to ANet to do it.
Look at it this way.
Any ANet dev who cared anything for WvW would have been silenced at moments like that because the bean counters would start screaming ‘Leave it alone, they manage themselves and we make money’.
ANet makes money, for doing absolutely nothing.
