Ignoring a marauder symbolic dh in a team fight is a mistake i think. I run mine with Empowering might and if ignored i can stack a tonne of might on myself and my team plus the aoe symbol heals. The damage capacity is not small.
When focused i still have all the defenses a meditrapper dh has except for the Virtues stunbreak on F3.

Interesting how some people have DH and Rev at top tier and others have it bottom tier. Guess i have to dig through post history to see who i’m supposed to believe. People that actually know what they are talking about vs bronze scrubs/forum heroes.

Maybe an idea would be to just not show the score in a game? Then people would just try their hardest until the very end. I’m not sure what else you could do to stop the people from giving up.

You need to know the score because there is tactics involved for example you may calculate that all you need to do is hold your home cap and you will win because you know how far ahead you are. If you dont see the score you may leave your home cap and go to contest mid, meanwhile enemy thief decaps your home, you dont get mid and you lose the game.

I think it will affect both, if punishment is equal. I mean rewards are better in ranked.
Punishment is not equal in unranked and ranked. Ranked you will lose rating and leaderboard position. Unranked errr you lose nothing.

yeah wait for season 7 start and see how ranked queues are like. They made it not as expensive to get ascended gear i understand so it will bring some people back to pvp. I know i was disappointed with the huge cost increases in S6 which was a factor in my decision to spend 90% of my time in WvW during S6. For S7 I may end up splitting it 50/50 between WvW/PvP.

I absolutely agree that the fun element in PvP is to have very even player matchups that are nail-biting to the finish. Win or lose, these are exciting.
100% agree. Some of my most fun matches have been where we win or lose by less than 50 pts. Sometimes less than 10 pts.

its a fine balance i do believe the PVE guys will leave quite quickly due to the crazy grind needed. However, bear in mind ANET caters primarily to PVE players and having Queues is not necessarily a bad thing (i’d be happy if all maps were queued to average 15-25 during primetime.)
So i suspect that ANET will relent and reduce the rank/grind requirements somewhat.

Which server are people in high queues on? If you’re on BG too bad for stacking on a server for only 1 reason.
BG wasn’t bad last night. The biggest queue i saw around 10pm NA eastern time was about 40-50. I didn’t even get to finish Bitterfrost berry and ice chest farm before Q popped for EBG.
Granted i also didn’t see any of my WvW guild online last night. They’re probably waiting for reset.

Now that your WvW rank affects rewards level, EOTM should be unerfed to allow people who didn’t cheese WvW ranks in EOTM the opportunity to do so, so we are equally rewarded in the new Pip system.
errr so because so many players cheesed their way to high rank in EOTM, you want ANET to revert changes so MORE players can cheese their way to high rank?

Well the pvp wings have a glider skin and you cant glide in the actual pvp maps only in HoTM.

Being a trash tier player myself i can definitely say i have more success with Symbolic Marauder version than the LB Meditrapper now. The fact that there are more condi players now and symbolic takes Hunters Fortification rather than Heavy Light means you have much better condition clease. Then of course the perma symbols on a capture point is just too good in low tiers.
With the Marauders amulet i take Empowering Might rather than Pure of Heart for better might stacking.

Shinryuku a popular Warrior streamer on Twitch has been using dual axe in wvw roaming and doing quite well. But then again he’s good enough that he’d probably do well dual wielding tooth picks.

what i like about retal being a percentage is that it will help reduce AOE spamming. However if ANET wants to reduce QQ Retal could have a ICD. So if a necro drops a well he can only get hit by retal once per second per target. This again will protect the Rapid Fire rangers, hundred blade warriors and Flamethrower engies.

Would trade 150 range for -0,25sec cast time any day. But seems far more likely that they’ll reduce the range next. They might even further increase the cast time on top of that.

I actually put my Sunrise in the bank and switched to condi war in WvW because it seems that Condi builds are what ANET wants us all to play. Arc divider and shield bash just feel like im playing with perma chill on me. Its making it extremely difficult to interrupt key enemy skills. You almost have to be able to see into the future.
So instead, here have some burns and bleeds. Now go kite and dodge my shield or headbutt i dont care because condi damage over time is all powerful. GG Anet

Personally i like the idea of retaliation being a percentage of the damage received. AND allow stacking. So 1 stack returns 20% of the damage. Stacks to max 5 times and so at max stacks returns 100% of the damage received.
This will NOT be a reflect so you still take damage but now you are returning the damage back. This will help prevent the QQ coming from flamethrower engie etc where they actually took more damage than they dealt but will also make big hits more punishing for the attacker if they dont pay attention to the retal boon.

i get salty whispers sometimes , but ive also had great convos. I got shut down completely by an enemy player a couple weeks ago. Like literally outplayed 100%. I whispered him saying gratz that was amazing what are you running. We proceeded to have a long conversation about what i did wrong and how he was counterplaying me.
We tried to have some duels but a group from the 3rd server kept interrupting us.
I think blocking someone is enough if you dont like the whispers but i wouldnt not want the ability to speak to other players.

condi war has always been decent in pvp but i preferred power war. For now i switched to my other fav class and been playing symbolic DH which doesnt need Longbow so didnt get affected too much by the patch.

my point is that any class with decent access to CC should always be using these sigils because the rewards are just too good. Im not singling out thieves so dont get your panties in a bunch. I play war and i have a crap ton of CC and i would never trade my Draining sigil.

So on one side we complain here about thieves stealing 25 might stacks, on other hand we pretend removal of air/fire is unrelated…. I mean what else am i supposed to slot? Condi and swap sigils are out of question for thief for example since they camp 1 weapon set most of the time and play mainly marauder.
i never said dont use it. i actually think its the best sigil to use by far. Im just saying it should never been added to pvp.
