I’m not arguing the nature of passive stats and traits. I’m saying that an improved support system along with condition spec combat would turn a lot of people off to the game. I’m pretty sure this is why guardians will never have a viable condi spec.
If said combos didnt exist, and going really high into condition damage and support power was impossible (settler/apothecary), then I fully support this idea. I really like playing support, and its disheartening to have that absence in this otherwise awesome game.

Deep wound isnt needed lol, there is already so much spike damage in this game.
I think your head is in the right place, but not enough people care (generally) about lore and pve like mechanics in wvw.
The only thing holding this game together for me are the combat mechanics, and I think that it still needs some minor tweaks.

Yep, remove them by nerfing the hell out of their damage. That would help but there would have to be a few more things done, but anet likes the zerg so that probably wont happen. I like the option of zerging. I dont like being forced into pvp like scale and thus pace.

There are too many situations where swall saves my kitten . I use it to separate point, against perma stealth thieves, on mes veil, in 1vX, to disengage, heal/melee protection etc…
I occasionally grab sgrasp but swall is just so good.
Definitely try this in zerk amulet! Its so fun. I dont play anything else but this now.

I’m running the same thing pretty much. Recently changed to that setup. Shrouded removal takes place of that extra transfer we get with the staff.
Zerk amulet, soldier jewel, melandru runes, -sgrasp+swall, -plague+golem.
Its the best imo.
True, but not a legit lottery where you can win gold from other players, i.e like real life lottery.
The karma looks great, but I would never do that cuz I rarely need karma. Sure I could rng it, but I would rather rely on something stable.

Ele and engi are the busiest classes, and the most fun for a lot of people. Depends on your playstyle.
My favorite is necro. Very good condition damage, which is good for aoe pressure. If you can pull off a power spec, then it gets much more interesting. Good aoe damage and cc, decent burst, awesome sustained dps, and melee/600/1200 range all packaged into one devastating class. One of 4 of the most wanted classes for wvw. Others being warrior/guard/ele (couple mesmers). Not so great in pve and dungeons, but its viable.

Your not taking advantage of SOR because SOR doesn’t care. We play for fights and bags not PPT. We don’t want to WvW anymore because BG and JQ play for PPT and just blob, sit In T3 towers with Arrow carts and then blob from one tower to the next tower thats the only time you will see them. And when they don’t run in the blob the fights are fun but short lived because then they blob back up and hit you with overwhelming numbers.

Although I agree with you in it being a win-win, I dont see a big company like ncsoft accepting and implementing player made mods. Would be extremely beneficial if they did though, cuz like you said it wouldnt be too hard to check for hacks.

Yep AoE would be awkward to work around… I for one wouldnt mind learningto use it. In fact I would embrace the challenge, because of how radical I think a crosshair would be for my gameplay.

My 2 cents
1. Increase the amount of damage needed to be done in order to rally. Staff guardian / warrior with 3 tags of AA will not rally. What will the numbers be? Rough example: 20% of enemies hp to rally. Reset this amount when enemies hp reaches 100%.
2. Allow in combat ressing once a minute.
3. Give a 10 second debuff to the person who was hard ressed.
If and when I quit gw2, it will be for this reason.
What do you mean by primary target? Red dot over someone then select another without targeting them? That would work in PvE and maybe in PvP, but not WvW.
A pain for some, but for those that want it… I know I’m not the only one. Am I?

This has bothered me for a long time. There are so many times when it is necessary to have more then one target icon.
In PvE, taking down the weakest npc to the toughest.
In PvP, target on bunker, target on first spike and second spike.
In WvW, target on driver, enemy driver, party frontliner, a party member to support when they call for it, and enemy to pressure (staff ele).
Please, for the love of quaggan, give us more targeting options.

Its true about dark armor, like I said I will probably switch back at some point. Unless its a warrior with berserker stance up, I have plenty of soft cc available to deal with melee. Ranged damage is a problem. There are a couple if times when it is nice to have that extra armor to deal with bursts up close and far off (ds4 is a good example). Being able to take some damage out of ds saves life force as well as the cd for bigger spikes. I havent used spiteful removal, but in some cases it would be great.
I’m thinking I will switch dark armor for dagger mastery though, and get spiteful retaliation.

Warhorn is the best choice for zerging because the cripple is reappliable and can last very long. Daze on their backline is nice to.
Focus is single target.
Dagger will be cleansed immediately.
CTF? Spirit watch is already too imbalanced towards certain classes. The only way I’d like this is if the flag carrier had NO skills except to run. The only option would be to drop the flag. That way it is fair across classes. It would also force people to defend more rather than watch some engi rocket boot his way to the point.
Team deathmatch? Yes please. Either first team to a certain number of kills (with a time limit) or everyone fights over one large conquest point. First to take it wins.
GvG? No thanks. This is better suited in WvW where players can have so many more combinations of armor/trinkets/food/etc. More strategy is good.
CTF would work just fine if no movement enhancing skills or teleports worked, and the carrier had reduced speed. No available skills while running is debateable. I dont like the idea of not being able to defend myself when my teammates are ignoring the one who is killing me.
GvG like everything else is an option. Once Anet introduces some more amulets like they said they would, hopefully there will be some useful combos besides zerk, cleric, and soldier (crosses fingers). Food is not necessary, and even disliked by a lot (+40% duration for example). It would possibly bring some people into pvp from WvW (fingers uncrossed).
