Depending on which area of the game you plan on playing, joining a guild with 3rd party voice comms is always a good idea.
1. Halve cooldown of every 30 sec and up offhand skill.
2. Buff sig of resto passive by a tad.
3. Redo diamond skin to reflect every 3rd condi when above 75% hp.

So it was turned into a necromancer?

Dark armor isnt great, but if you time your channels right then it does make a difference. What I am trying to use this trait for is to keep defense up when my soft cc/protection/weakness is on cd.
My trait setup is pretty similar to yours. I have the freedom to switch traits around on the go, depending on which foe I am facing. Which is the point in what I am try to accomplish. 20 in death magic is not so great unless you get the 25 minor, but only if you have a high toughness and even then the other trait choices are pretty minimal.

Would be neat.

Its not so bad on the borderlands and eb, because most people are in an organized group. I think there would actually be incentive to hold towers if wps were introduced, which is a good thing.
Oh yeah, and make gates invuln to player attacks (only siege).
kthxbai
Wow both of your ideas are awesome in their simplicity. The biggest beneficial change I think would be to make gates invuln to player attacks. This way dumb thief trolls cannot keep a wp contested 24/7.

New game modes for existing maps – the quick and easy
Capture the Flag
Would work on pretty much all maps. Flags start at points A and C, must be taken (short pickup time) to home point (10?sec to reset flag). Flag carrier has reduced speed and can use weapon/utility skills, any teleport drops flag (very much like orb carrier on Spirit Watch). Very fast (3?sec) respawn times.
King of the Hill
Designate an area in the middle that is the fighting area. Anyone outside the area is invulnerable, but gets a speed boost. A larger border should encompass the fighting area while mid point acts as the hill. First to (300? points @ 1 per sec) wins. Thinking about giving the team that is behind by 100 points a short buff but I’m not sure how that would work, if at all.
Team Deathmatch
Simply disable capture points, as well as siege (treb, skyhammer). First to (50? kills) wins. Would a team of 5 be too small?
New game modes for existing maps – the long and hard
Infection
Think Halo zombie mode with superspeed and no gravity! Survivors must hold out until the timer ticks down to (0 from 10?min). A survivor has:
- Skills and traits replaced to support ranged combat
- Decreased speed (20%?)
- Increased hp regen
- 20k hp, 3k armor, 3k attack
- 1 stack of defiant
- Heal skill that only effects other survivors
Every 2 minutes the survivors must go to point A and C to get supplies, and point B is infected spawn. They are in danger of getting attacked by the infected! Any survivor killed by an infected will respawn as one (no downed state). An infected has:
- Skills and traits replaced to support melee combat
- Increased speed (50%?)
- 20k hp, 2k armor, 4k attack
- Can jump (5?) times as high!
- Suffer from knockback (5? blowout per hit) when getting hit (does not interrupt skills)
- No falling damage
The little area in front of the spawn (both sides?) is the barricaded area (yes gonna have to add some textures here). Add siege too! Only a few ballistas, maybe 1 arrow cart and 1 trebuchet.
Guards and Bandits
Protect the caravan! The caravan consists of (5?) NPCs that are pretty tough and have some damage mitigation skills, as well as defiant. At least 1 NPC must make it from spawn to all points from A-C in order. If left unhindered, a caravan will do the full rotation in (5? min) on Legacy of the Foefire.
Guild versus Guild
Here it is folks! 2 teams of up to 50 each face off on an all out deathmatch to see who is the better team! All points and siege disabled. First to (250? kills @ 50 ppl per team) wins. All stack on kill sigils disabled (corruption, life, bloodlust). Some champ RI NPCs added near spawn to prevent spawn camping.
Necro – 1h sword with cleave, evade/block, and a leap
Guard – axe
Ele – hammer
Thief – mace mainhand
Ranger – staff with #5 rally and water field, offhand pistol
Engi – mace mainhand, hammer
Mes – pistol mainhand
This is what I use, and I like it very much. Only sPvP and WvW.
I miss spiteful retaliation very much, but dark armor has made a noticable difference. I will prob switch back at some point. Also for 10 in death magic you get spiteful removal, a very underappreciated trait. It can remove fear, immob, and long duration condis. Helps to lessen the pain of not having an extra condi transfer with the staff.
One thing is for sure: x/20/x/x/30
Seems like necro is on the edge of being an awesome power spec profession.

Very annoying to have a good fight interrupted.
In general, yes. Most of the armor looks really bad. It is very unfortunate.
Dont know what to say. Try to tough it out. If it doesnt get better, then this is a huge problem for lower pop servers.
Uh oh. Careful here.

wooo ahhh spooky noises ensue
Dude 30 ranks is not that big a deal at all.
You’re blowing this way out of proportion.
Its not the extra run time its the kittening ethics that bothers me. I’m not asking for a utopia, just some basic kitten that should be a given.
I want to view your setup, but the dumb site wont load. Could you possibly update the link? Thanks.

cant outrun big numbers some times, but its not that big of a deal to me.
I also prefer ax/dag and dag/horn. Very solid combo.
I use doom/energy on both sets.
Always carry around a focus to pair with axe. A must have when facing boon heavy opponents. The vuln and life force gain is also very nice (sometimes necessary) when facing high armor targets. Perfect weapon to set up a spike with.
Can I has confusion on chill?
Increase burst cd to 15sec. Job done.
Power necro. My favorite.
I genuinely dislike players that do this and a company that will allow this will not be seeing much of my money.
gw2armor.com
Has a list for all armors in the game (I think). There may be some pvp armor that can be found by random merchants in pve, so check that out too.
T3 cultural because it excludes the have nots.
Nah but check gw2armor.com and you can sorta mix and match there.

There are glitches to get to secret areas, but I am not driven to find any of them. For example, I watched a vid on my servers forums where a group of people portal glitched from CM exp to near the champ spider in Queensdale, fell thru the terrain, and found an area right under the hunters lodge. There was some wierd room with different colored faces (of the same person) and a cat peek-a-boo’ing from some elevated crevisse (looked like a staircase). I’m sure there is a secret room in AC exp but havent been motivated to look for it.
How is the gap way too big?
It is the exactly same amount of APs that there is between the other Hellfire/Radiant skins.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Hellfire_Vambraces_Skin
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Hellfire_Mantle_Skin
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Hellfire_Warhelm_Skin
Thats great that those people have so much free time to grind AP, but most of us will not achieve that amount in the next year.
Bump.
BP will rise in the ranks by the effort of your ocx/sea guild. No joke. If you want to make a difference and be revered by an entire server, come to BP.
Screeeens! Sad I missed it.
It will be the worst set for the entirety of this games existance. Not due to the support role not being powerful enough, but its possible to reach 100% boon duration without any givers armor except for 2 trinkets.
Thats ridiculous. Gap is way to big, but w/e.
+1 yus
Cant believe pet ai has been ignored for the entirety of this games life.
Should at least remove immob.
Other classes are naturally preferred due to gameplay and mechanics, not to mention style. It happens in every game.
Regardless of which side of the gate you’re on, its really lame to be beaten by siege. Its the worst passive play in the game, and it is most certainly abused to the point of players losing interest.

i made the suggestion the first day tome of knowledge…
to sell this in sPvp for glory – and look they did it^^
if you actually are that person then i thank you.
The Scarlet Plot Thickens!
How dare you Scarlet! This attempt at back handed shenaniganry will not go unnoticed!

If you can do this in a duel without wells or lich form on a duel server then your opponent has no toughness and made alot of mistakes…
So a player that doesnt suck will be over 50% most of the time.
Dhuumfire in the other hand always works and it also gives your conditions some protection.
Nah it happens when you are evenly matched.
If you are evenly matched, I have found that most of the time the fight is spent under 50%. With necros cc, smart use of cd’s, and correct skill cycling its not hard to even things out.
I suppose if you are using a hybrid type build where covering conditions is necessary. I hardly find a 3 sec burn that you have no control over will help in this case, but its a build difference.
op classes shouldnt be able to stomp.
Ya cuz every thread listing certain aspects of classes to be buffed has received so much dev attention. At least this way we dont waste time.

Hammer just doesnt make sense to me.
An auto attack that applies 6sec of weakness and 1 sec of chill will never happen, other ideas look solid though.
Cleave on axe and dagger has been asked again and again but has never come nor will it, thats why I have started this thread.
Scythe sounds cool but introducing a new weapon is miles harder then giving an existing weapon to necros.
I cant wait to be lured into a “fair” fight only to be pulled over the edge. I’ve already begun stockpiling replacement keyboards.
