Dude – I hate to be that guy, but Spear of Justice is heavily telegraphed, (3/4 cast time, PLUS the animation), and it’s dodgeable.
Beyond that, what gameplay are you engaging in where a pull that leaves you mobile afterward is an issue? It’s not like you’re being stunned or hit with immobilize after being pulled, you’ve simply lost your gap.
This is coming across as someone who got beaten by a guardian, and is blaming is doing the standard forum "I lost, therefore “opponent” is too powerful. NERF!" whining.
IE: Rock is too powerful, Paper is fine. Sincerely, Scissors.
It’s not dodgeable if you’re hit with the spear. It can literally pull you to the guard during your dodge frames.
Did they ever give an explanation for the addition of that cooldown in the first place?
There is an issue with the Skritt Worker Contracts that will be addressed as soon as possible. In the meantime, we have temporarily disabled the contracts.
So they went on strike?
Yeah, some people found a loophole in their contract that allowed them to avoid paying the skritt workers for their labor. The skritt have gone on strike until a new contract can be negotiated.
There is also one near the shore close to the skritt village that uses up the contract and creates a skritt, but the skritt can’t always path to the node so it just keeps trying. Also you can create multiple skritt and each uses a contract, but none will find the node.
HoT has given greater power creep than this.

Just think, if this was on anything other than rev, both players blowing their highest damaging skills in a row on each other would have resulted in both taking huge damage.

Literally every class except necro can unload major burst damage against an opponent while in some sort of damage immunity.
Mesmer: Blurred frenzy/distortion, plus shatters.
Ele: obsidian flesh.
Engi: Rocket charge, shock shield
Thief: many high damage attacks that also evade
Ranger: Signet of stone
Guardian: shield of courage
Warrior: whirlwind attack and endure pain/berserkers stance
It’s cute how you try to put the above on par with the unbalanced mess that is revenant.
The issue isn’t from active abilities. It’s from all the defensive stat creep in HoT. It’s the same thing that happened in PvP during season 1. A bunker meta. They “fixed” it by removing the broken stat options. Nerfing a classes PvE and SPvP effectiveness is not the answer to WvW balance.
Only thing that you have to watch out for is medi/trap guards.
and rangers cause they will pew pew you in 3 seconds, and thieves, and scrappers, basically any unexpected fart and you are dead
You’re very glassy yes, but prior to this I roamed in full berserker. But anytime you’re caught off guard you’re at a disadvantage. It’s a lot more survivable than it seems, but you have to be apt at using your active defenses. Rangers haven’t been much of an issue for me; especially if I run the Insp variant I mentioned. Thieves are a mild annoyance, but I’ve played since beta so managing them now is nothing compared to how it has been. That being said, equally well played thief and mesmer in a duel… thief should win by design. And scrappers…. it depends on the variant, maybe I haven’t encountered the type you’re referring to. At worst they tend to be a draw.
This is what I use.
Swap dueling for inspiration [Take 3, 2, 3] and mantra of distraction for feedback to nearly counter condi builds. Only thing that you have to watch out for is medi/trap guards.

From the performance of randoms, you could have fooled me.
Rotate = leave a point and go somewhere else where you can be useful.
Rotate to: survive, kill, capture (priority order depends on role).Where to go? Depends on role.(in order of priority)
DPS: To be saved, to kill out of position/over-extender, to +1 to quick kill/quick win point.
Team fighter: To be saved, to save ally, to ill out of position/over-extender, to +1 to quickly win/hold a point.
Support: To be saved, to save ally, to secure win in active fight, to support active or soon-to-be team fight.Of course, if more than two of the above reasons for rotating can be achieved in a single rotation, then that is the best one to make. And this is basics. There are also respawns, enemy positions, counter-rotations, matchups etc. to be considered.
Maybe someone should make a guide so solo isn’t so frustrating.
Give mesmer a trait that lets it strip boons whenever an enemy walks through a glamour… like the old blinding/confusion builds. Fixed and mesmer isn’t damaged because of crying.

What would you suggest? I think the concept of mantras is kind of neat. There isn’t really a skill type that has a similar style of play. So I like how unique they are I suppose.
Personally…. I’d like to see them replaced with misdirection type skills that focus on CC. Maybe one that binds and stuns. One that pulls. One that chills and slows. Etc.
It’s easy to start playing, but there are a lot of subtle things you can do to maximize your efficiency. That takes a while to get a hang of.

This is more a helpful video about all the reasons why is not as easy to play/low skill floor as what is said. Every thing the warrior did, or could do was predictable and well telegraphed.

He’s sitting constantly at 900 radius distance from the warrior, you have all time in the world to dodge and if he get close, you have blurred frenzy and distortion, then you get back again with phase retreat and you call this “hard to kite with” class?
Dude try to play something that has 1/10 of mesmer tools when it comes to evade the enemy..then come back and tell me how “easy” it is, if you think is hard to kite a warrior on a mesmer…try a fresh air ele and see how it goes?

Eh, use them to get the achieves for the last collection for Ad Infinitum. Then go back to farming low end of T4 and high T3. High T4’s are barely worth the cost at all. All of this is just my opinion.

Getting past the third tier is pretty easy if you try on a mai trin daily. Just spam it until you get past.
It’s not reportable as match manipulation unless you have clear evidence of intent to effect the outcome of a match in a negative way. Negative being against “the spirit” of the game.
While I understand the reasoning behind wanting more instantaneous damage in WvW I feel it would be better to just baseline distortion on summon.

Sounds like that might be for the best. There’s nothing hard about it. It’s mechanically very simple. It’s challenging because you have to coordinate.
Fractal changes are a step in the right direction. I actually enjoy the new swamp most. I don’t mind moderately difficult content that doesn’t require I organize 9 other people. All in all, I’m enjoying all the new fractal changes.
Sir, in PVE you must have Berserker Set with atleast Pack Runes, use GS, press 2 to kill, press 3 to evade red circles, press 5 to rush back to mob and press 2 again.

Condi warrior is an entirely different level of cheese than condi chrono. But I don’t enjoy condi spam at all. It’s not interesting and it’s not challenging.

Which is the same as it was before the patch. If you like the lower tiers, then last month, they were just as worth repeating as this month, which might have been “very worth it” or “not at all” depending on your personal preferences.
The mechanics additions and shuffling they made to several of the fractals is a much more enjoyable experience. But you know me, I’ll be grumpy about something else soon enough. :P

Having a season with this level of advantageous bugs on warrior is ridiculous. This shows a lack of concern for balance on the part of the devs.
Yup, if you’re a new player that tries it out and realizes it’s a clusterkitten of imbalanced class design, singular builds, and broken mechanics then you’re stuck looking like a nub for 3 months. Espoooooorts!
And here I was thinking mesmer was unbalanced, meanwhile we allow this level of AI play. Can I get a “Target an actual person” key, please? This is not okay.
They aren’t going to completely change our class mechanics. Some of these suggestions are reasonable, but most are basically asking for a class or condition redesign. That’s not likely to happen.
You basically must have shield to survive this meta. It’s silly, but what are you going to trade for dueling? Can’t trade inspiration you need the condi/heal/defender combo. Can’t trade chrono, you need the phant generation and clone generation. Can’t trade illusions, you need the phant cd reductions and torment. (Mainly the cd reduction so you can turtle more.)
All that weighs a lot more than the bleed stacks and mantra to me. I miss the good old double ranged shatter days.
What, you mean a passive invuln at 50% health, passive 1000 hp/sec regen, access to >15 secs of condi immunity, insane dps potential, and both ranged an melee capability isn’t balanced? Whaaaaat? But, but mesmer!

Backpack clips with both Bifrost and Eternity… why would you even grind it out. Any back mounted weapon is a clipping mess. You’d think they’d check this stuff…. But if you don’t enjoy PvP why do it? It’s supposed to be fun not a grind.

Iirc every one of the above builds takes inspiration with the defender spawn and heals/condi cleanse on shatter. Mine takes mantra cleanse… in no way do we have issues with conditions. Especially when, if put in a tough spot, you can wait out condis with continuum split and take condi reducing food. You sound like a novice.
Yes you can run and wait out the conditions and if your lucky might make that tower/keep door and then die behind walls loosing all stacks. Or maybe you just fight by that tower or camp and play poke and run. But calling someone a novice due to taking inspiration as a trait line is pretty funny. If not using chrono inspiration will cure 4 conditions and that mantra cleanse does 4 also. Seems sort of a personal preference.
What are you even talking about, I took inspiration in my build. I was calling him a novice because he is saying ridiculous things.
Also, the inspiration trait removes only one condition no matter the number of illusions.
Ok. Let’s try this again. If not taking chrono with inspiration. 4 shatters 4 conditions cleansed. Mantra 2 charges 4 conditions cleansed. It’s the same. Didn’t you say everyone takes inspiration I take mantra??
I literally posted my full build in text format above. I run chrono and inspiration. Chrono offers too much to not use it and inspiration’s durability is necessary to even function in the power creep.
