Walk up to the totem after the event, and you’ll get the prompt to destroy it by interacting with it. That will open the next story instance right next to you.

Too bad I (and most others) can’t get that far……

After all the hype, it sure would be nice to play the LS.

I have played since beta and I have never had a precursor or any drop of significant value. 2600 hours or so and I am starting to feel that there isn’t much point in continuing to play really

There are very few characters in GW2 that are memorable and even well written. Taimi is one of them. She needs to stay and besides, I like her sense of humour

GW1 had better RNG to be honest. I feel that GW2’s terrible RNG is directly tied to the gemstore. ie. Frustrate people until they cave and pull out their visas.
I couldn’t even care about getting a weapon, although they are cool.
I am at the point where I just don’t even care about the drops anymore

What about the token idea including login mirrors?
The mirrors could dissipate bandwidth bottlenecking?

LSS1 vs GW1 factions, I would take factions AINEC.
LSS2 so far vs Nightfall, well, I would take nightfall.
I am glad that people are liking the LS but for some people it just doesn’t compare to a new expansion pack.
Where are our new classes, skills, weapons, dungeons, areas(2 areas in 2 years…)?
Sure we get gemstore updates and granted the new Amberite weps are kinda cool but this doesn’t compare to an xpac.

Achievement checklists are just terribad. I honestly couldn’t even care about getting anymore AP.
I agree that the new writing is better but LS S2 and LS S1 combined do not equal an expansions worth of content.
Sure, they opened up a new zone, 1/3 of it every 2 weeks but that just isn’t enough. We need new classes, new races, new weapons, new monster AI, new dungeons, and a new continent…yes continent.
After 2 years GW2 is getting very very stale and these piecemeal updates are not enough to sustain a themepark MMO.

IF it is a DDoS there isnt much that Anet can do about it.
IF it is Level3, they really need to have a sit down with them to look at the sometimes world wide routing of GW2 packets.

Anet needs to start getting on Level 3’s back as well.

Timberline Falls with depth blur on is like playing with butter on your glasses.
Every other zone in the game provides a decent amount of depth blur but Timberline makes it so you cant see anything unless it is 1 foot infront of you.
Been like this for 2 years.
Can’t stand the zone, even though it is well done.

Ya I lose my cursor as well, especially during the zerg particle mess. Maybe if I took my sunglasses off I might be able to see the cursor better

Complete the story in under an hour, then back to the daily routine of meta events that are 2 years old and dungeons that are a cake walk.
We need substantial content, not piecemeal achievement lists every 2 weeks. Achievements are not content Anet.
That is my analysis…

I cant see myself playing this LS S2 is everything is in the gemstore.

After the debacle that was LS S1 I am leary of S2.
I will admit that the desert looks cool and hopefully there will be some fun exploration and dungeons in the new zone(s).
For many, including myself this is Anets point of redemption.
After 2 years of beta testing the community, they had better get this right.

The game update page has all times listed in UTC. Not sure why people are still confused.

But the UTC times are wrong.

Karkla Queen was 20:00 CEST which is UTC +2. Notes say the queen will be 19:00 UTC. I think they forgot to implement the summertime since they listed PST instead of PDT.

UTC does not have summer or winter time.

UTC times are wrong anyhow just subtract one hour for the correct time. They obviously converted PST in UTC, which does not give correct values as long as PDT is active. They simply published the times for Winter instead of Summer if I am right.

Get it together Anet, either publish a correct webpage with a list like you did when megaserver was 1st introduced or toss an API timer ingame.

Why should I have to convert times for every world boss, even though that page isnt updated?
Anet NEEDS to place an ingame UI with times in the friggen game!!!
That way there is 0 confusion about updated times with a patch since the game will already have the updated time list.

World meta bosses are a huge part of GW2 PvE but customers feel left by the curb when they have to look up times on 3rd party websites

I hope that people will request Anet to either make a webpage with the new timers or even better place a UI in the game for timers.

Since this last patch has altered the world boss timers, it seems that alot of players are confused and either don’t know about 3rd party web sites or are using the old megaserver page( https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/the-megaserver-system-world-bosses-and-events/ ) as a resource for the times.

Anet either needs to update a new page(why should I use a 3rd party site for a major part of the game) or implement a UI ingame for the timers.

Personally I was using the old megaserver page since it showed times in US Pacific time, US EST and Central EU time.

Either update the page Anet, create a new one, or place something ingame for us please

I switched from an x6 1055t oc to 3.5 to an i7 3770k oc to 4.5 and it was worth the upgrade.
GPU was the same for both systems(gtx680oc/oc).
If you have the money then you might be tempted to upgrade. GW2 has poor performance for zergs but is much better than it used to be.
I use highest/med and ultra everything else and get about 20-30fps in big zergs which is manageable.

Should should have posted a updated timer page like they did when they 1st released megaservers. We shouldnt have to rely on 3rd party sites in order to get times.
Anet should post a timer in the UI…..

It is do or die for alot of people concerning LS2. LS1 was such a debacle that many people feel jaded by that experience.
There were some good things from LS1, don’t get me wrong but it wasn’t like an expansion. I get the feeling that LS2 will be pretty much the same as LS1 but permanent.
After 2 years, GW2 needs new zones, classes, skills, dungeons, and all the content that an expansion can provide. Not a small content patch every 2 weeks with gemstore only items and checklist achievements and lackluster story.
I really hope that LS2 will provide an expansion worth of content but I am not holding my breath.

GW2 NEEDS a UW/FoW/DoA type dungeon with high risk/high rewards.
Aetherpath comes close to this but the dungeon isnt big enough nor are the rewards great enough(not many dream drops).

I have 5 professions, one is warrior btw. (and, why i should always remake my traits, or equip horn? And what about others, even without this option?)

I love my mesmer but I don’t play her since she moves at a snails pace I feel your pain.

I was in TTS, got many kills, got my titles and then realized that the wait, coupled with hoping you get into a server with the rest of TTS was just too much hassle to bother anymore.
I haven’t done wurms or teq in ages since they are not worth the time if you are not in a TTS instance.
To each his/her own, if they want to wait and hope for a .000001% chance of an asc drop, but for me I just won’t bother anymore.
It is too bad really because the events are fun, I can only hope that people get better individually at the metas since it will only help random megaservers.

They are all pretty nasty. I don’t use my ascended quiver because of clipping issues as well

Think that if Anet wanted the respect of the community they would have given ALL the LSS1 chapters for free.
This stinks of nickel and diming and seems to be the concurrent trend with Anet.
Milk all we can while we can, even with old rehashed content.
Why stop here Anet? Why not just charge gems to enter dungeons? Why not just charge gems to login?
Charging money for previously free content is a slippery slope that I hope Anet doesnt fall down.

Too many gems being turned to gold for precursors to be available from a scavenger hunt.

1. I agree that events need better rewards. There are some events I just don’t even bother to do since it isn’t worth the effort.

2. I have no problem with people who play the TP, that is up to them. What I do have a problem with is precursor prices, and that falls directly on Anet. Either increase the drop rates or make them craftable.

3. I don’t have an issue with runners either. If they can solo a run and sell it then good for them. Droks runs were in GW1 as well as other dungeons and missions in that game and Anet didn’t have an issue.

I first looked at the back piece and thought that it was cool and maybe I would do some of the content required to get the back piece.
Now that I have read that it is under ridiculous amounts of RNG with 1 ever being on the trading post I have decided not to do the content.
Instead I will go out with friends, spend my money(aka gems) on fun outside and maybe even have a BBQ.
Festival of the RNG can go on, I will be having my own rewards

Not a single red cent will be spent by me or many people that I know on gems until there is “expansion worthy” content.
I like to support developers but it is getting pretty bad and blatant that they only want your visa number.
I was shocked at the buy gold from us advertisement and it seems that Nexxion(sp?) has devoured the soul and ethics of a once great developer

Mini Pandas were one of the rarest miniatures in GW1 with only 146 available in the game.
They were cool looking and very rare and expensive.
Looking at the preview video it seems that they are available in GW2 now for tokens. Since the patch hasn’t dropped we don’t know how difficult it will be to amass the tokens needed for the mini but, safe to say there will be WAY more than 146 running around GW2.
At least they are not in the gemstore….

GW2 has started a bad bad habit of taking very rare items from GW1 and tossing them in GW2 as nostalgia items, either via the gemstore(tormented, zodiac) or now as ingame rewards.

I realize there are rare skins from GW1 available in GW2 for little to no gold or effort. ie. Crystalline blade or Fellblade(HoM), but I find this trend disturbing.

Most people will be happy to see the mini panda back in GW2 but I am leary of how this mini which was regarded as a prestige item and very rare is now just a small grind away from acquiring.

Am I alone in this thought?
