Seems actually normal for GW2. It is a CPU pig and isnt really dependant on GPU. Your SLI system is overkill.

Sorry to necro an old post but I just updated to Riva 7 beta. The last windows patch forced me to upgrade. Now I cant play the game with Riva OSD. Is there some setting that I am missing or has it been borked

1. Bought the recipe for Exemplars edge because that is the only one that is available.
2. Learned it(*although it account bound so it doesnt matter anymore.
3. didnt craft it because it isnt in my crafting list on my toon that has 500 wep smith.
4. bought another exemplars edge(when I already have it) recipe and it is useless and waste of 5g.
5. went of forums
I cannot buy any other recipe at all since they are locked( I have full leg masteries)

No, Vengeance is locked still. I dont know why. I am on the toon that has max weps.

So i buy the recipe for exemplar’s edge. I have the leg mastery unlocked. I buy and use the recipe but I cannot craft it, although I am weaponsmith 500.

I decide to buy another one( for a 5g+karma loss) and of course it is already unlocked (I thought it might be a bug>?) and is a useless 5g item.

Am I missing something or is this bugged?

Ya, I stopped playing because of the lag. Hopefully this will be resolved soon so I can get back to the fun.

I think that Tengu would be cool but I am not sure about mounts. Every MMO out there has mounts and unless they did away with 95% of the way points I dont see the need.

I am more interested in engaging story and content from the Xpac. If previous iterations are a baseline standard then I am in for a disappointment.

It’s like no-one noticed that you get more loot based off timers than you do from bags.

May as well stay dead, you’re getting 100% of the pips and reward tracks for 0% of the effort, and you don’t have to try to run back to where you were in less than 3 minutes only to watch your rubbish commander wipe the zerg again.

I am necroing this because I am having unplayable lag. The main culprit is l3 in Dallas. Nothing can be done so I sit and wait for a fix.

As you can see there is huge packet loss from that one L3 Dallas server

I don’t think that the game is dead at all but I do think that it is slowing down.

Themepark MMO’s need stuff for people to do, but with the slow trickle of new content, people are migrating to other things while waiting for new stuff to come out.

The game needs an injection of content and raids are not the answer I am afraid from a PVE standpoint.

PVP and WvW are pretty much slowing down and dying but not dead. I have no idea how they can make these game modes fresh again but I know that there are tons of people clamoring to see this happen

The one thing that I really liked about GW1 combat was build synchronicity.
You needed to get a group together and_ think_ about what builds you needed for whichever situation you were in.

GW2 does need some build thought but not nearly as much as GW1.
Simply put GW1 feels more cerebral than GW2, but again GW2 is action-oriented and much different.

I like GW2 combat and it has gotten significantly better over the years with break bars and mechanics but in the end if you are zerging it requires absolutely no thought.

I think that reverting to a GW1 combat style is too drastic but I remember reading about combos at beta and thinking how cool that would be, when in reality it is mostly just random mashing.

I am ok with this to be honest. I have 0 mystic stones left to make mystic kits and they are too expensive in the gemstore to bother with.
On top of that the silver kit is not always available from the gemstore.

I am taking a break from the game…..after about 600 gold in keys I have given up.

I used to love this weapon skin from GW1 and it is awesome but I WILL NOT pay money with ZERO guarantee on the item that I want.

Anet needs to rethink their gemstore as well as how people WANT to buy things ingame.

If I could pay directly for the item I want them I definitely would but gambling $35 or so just at the chance is stupid and unbelievably unethical.

I have twilight but if Anet makes eternity look like either of these then I would have no choice but to craft it!

Please put a toggle or option for showing weapons and infusion auras into the makeover preview. Some of the changes clip really badly with our selections and knowing that in advance would make things so much better.

The fact that they have issues creating armor is their problem.

I did a tracert last night and Lvl3 in Houston was the issue. Apparently they have damaged fibre there and it is getting repaired now.

Both times I have had about 500g sitting there and not really wanting anything, I have gone precursor hunting in the toilet

Both times I have gotten one and made some profit and decided to buy something that I actually wanted. I was very lucky but the high stakes gambling gave me more of a rush than any reward I have gotten ingame.

I liked it for the most part but the end boss made me want to throw my mouse through my monitor…..

I gave up. Too frustrating and not fun. Did it on my ele…..ya…CC is ok but one shot city and as soon as you go back in….one shot….go back in…one shot.

Reading that article kind of justified my gut feeling about it. Hopefully they will attempt to improve it and hopefully it will make a difference in GW2.

Well, from what I can gather this will help GW2 because of the CPU thread contention which for most, if not all users should help GW2 since it is CPU dependant.
Another possibility is that because GW2 is so single thread dependant, this feature might not affect GW2 at all.

Personally I think that it will help quite a bit since GW2 is so CPU bound, but it is just an opinion.

Isnt that a 3rd party prog? + ive heard it can mess up ur game. Nah, I’l stay with my cuttent settings (screenkitten) and soon enough I got my high resolution screen, that will solve most of it I hope.

Sweetfx/Reshade only looks better and better on larger/newer monitors.
For the best image, that’s the best route. Which is what you asked.
Even though it’s an addon, it doesn’t give you an advantage over anything in-game related besides eye candy.

Completely disagree, I use a 42" 1080P LCD display that is a bit older and I will not play the game without Sweetfx.
Not only is the antialiasing better but the sharpness settings and other tweaks make the game look so much better it is crazy.
It doesn’t mess up the game at all and it is awesome!

Figured it out. Was MSI Afterburner OSD Too bad I love that application At least I can play now though!

Ya I cant even run the game with just the .dat file and the .exe. Not sure what background app would stop it. What applications or services did they want you to kill?

None of the IP addresses did anything Still cant play. When I get time I might delete my injector and see if that is the issue. I have read that others have a dx9.dll error which is what the injector alters.
Again I will reiterate though that if I cannot use the injector I will just not play at all. I hate GW2’s muddy graphics

No crash log, just that the GW2 client has stopped working and to close.
I do use master effects, and I don’t have time to take that out of the folder right now but I can tell you that if that injector is incompatible I will just not play the game.

Your packet loss is only from level 3. Of course it shows it on abet servers too because you are losing those packets from level 3.

2 things here, Anet servers with 72% packet loss and LVL3 in Frankfurt. It is totally unplayable right now. I might as well play with my cell connection and hope it is routed differently :O

THIS is why I don’t play or invest as much time in the game anymore.
THIS is also why they should never have tied as much stats to gear as they have.
There will always be nerfs and the time and effort it takes to fully asc gear out a toon, only to have it be useless because of a patch is a reason why people will just stop playing as much.

Seems that Anet has issues with bosses using skills sometimes when there is a large zerg, that is just a guess.
I have done this boss so much now that I am not going to bother until this is fixed.

Retreat is all you need. 23 sec of swiftness on 30 sec recast. Can even slot in power set of runs that increases the swiftness uptime AND helps your offensive stats.

All the whines about the speed is silly. You have the tools already. Just use them

If you complain about retreat, what do you want? Signet of speed? Still going to use that utility slot for it.

I really like playing DH trapper in PVE , I find it fun and my DH looks cool lol.
My issue is that I have to roll staff as well kitten and Retreat in order to get good speed boosts. This takes up 2 utility slots for movement…
On the other hand necro and mesmer have fantastic mobility through either a single skill or a trait.
This leaves DH “kitten” if they want good mobility and still have a viable trap build.
This is also leaving me not wanting to play a toon as much

I know there are speed boost mushrooms but the stand alone mobility is my issue.

Sooo, I have a new Gigabyte GTX 970 OC edition. I have overclocked the card minimally as well as to the limits and ran benchmarks and the card is stable, but GW2 seems to crash. No real artifacts but just CTD.
Just wondering if anyone else had this issue.
I noticed that Witcher 3 didnt like OC GPU’s as well

I hate crafting as well but it is even more tedious in GW2.
I have no answers on how to make it better but I will NEVER craft another asc armor set again. Just too tedious…. Too bad i never get drops either…
