Why not abuse the free transfer system while it still exists?
You can still talk to your friends on other servers via groups and whispers, as well as communicating with your guild.
Social aspects are handled by your tag, not your character or server, remember? :P

Because people could abuse the Dolyaks by defending a bunch of them for a few minutes then run off and still get full credit for all of them.
So rather than nerf rewards or change how it detected participants they decided to outright remove all rewards.
They claim that getting the supplies is now the reward, but we don’t buy that.

I don’t wanna report it as a bug just yet, but more often than not when I use IL the clone never spawns and the entire cooldown triggers, ruining a nice Swap > Blurred Frienzy combo.
Before anyone asks, yes I am within range. Hell, I’m at HALF the maximum range and it just doesn’t spawn.
This has killed me more than once.

I don’t mind dying, I’ve more than enough money to cover repair costs, but I do mind dying due to a bug… Does anyone else have this issue?

Boarderland Puzzles still broken

It’s been a few weeks now and still if you get both parts of the Keys the Vault door does not open.
This is getting annoying now, as it limits the number of WvW puzzles to one, and that one is one of the hardest to complete as it’s the most hostile (I personally have no issue with the Eternal BG puzzle, but I do have an issue with missing out on 3 more lots of rewards).

When will this be fixed?
Surely it’s a simple fix.

Call me crazy, but I want my clones to move with me. Not necessaries in the same direction I move in, but when I move around the clones should also move around in their own direction. Against idiots I can stand still while they get confused at which Clone is the real Mesmer, but in fights where i need to move around a lot my clones die to AoE’s in a single hit and they dont even make any attempt to move.

I just feel like the clones are there to confuse the stupid players and serve no real purpose outside shatters.

I don’t have an issue with thieves really.
The only one I have trouble with is the heartseeker build, and with my current clone set up they waste all their initiative spamming heartseeker on my clones without stopping to make sure they’re hitting the real Mesmer.

It’d like to see Mantra’s act similar to sigils.
If you put a Mantra in a slot you auto-get that Mantra’s stacks. Once both stacks are used you need to wait 5 seconds for it to reload.
Adjust the reload time as nessesary.

Shatter mechanic is unfun

I personally don’t Shatter that often, I’m going for a condition/illusion build, but them shatters really help in a tough spot.
Remember that you don’t have to shatter just because you have 3 clones out.

Yeah, no offence but you must be doing something very wrong.
At Lv20 I took down 2 Exotic geared (One had a legendary sword) warriors at the same time with very little trouble in World vs World.
I’m curious though, as I just made my Mesmer, what nerf did they get?

It’s normally the PvP crafted set you can get at the mystic forge or bought from a vendor in Orr for 43k Karma a piece.
Sometimes it’s Tier 3 armour, too.

Several times in WvW I’ve gone to the gates to repair them only to find myself thief-pulled THROUGH the gate into masses of enemies. And due to the knock down it causes, I’m helpless to fight back or flee.

Come on Anet, WvW is a broken mess… Yet PvP content is meant to be the highlight of GW2.
If this is what I spent the last month levelling towards then I am not pleased.

I have the OPPOSITE issue.
In certain fights, I’m the best tank option.
Most PuG’s just fail at avoiding damage, so somewhere along the lines I became the “tank”.
But I can never hold a boss’ attention.
Just the fact that I’m the only shield user should be enough to grab the boss’ attention.
But nope, he decided to wail on the afk idiot who didn’t even join the fight.

I can see where Anet was going with our guns;

Rifle is for burst and direct damage.
Pistols are for sustained condition damage.

The issues arise when we want to do something else outside of this.
I don’t want to be forced to make an alt just to get variety, I hate alts.

I’m thinking about changing to a kit-build just to get some variety in my attacks, but I don’t want to have to do that.
With kits, I lack self boons and condition removal. :\

The only fix I want for Mesmer portals is the stupid invisible army glitch.

Enemy mesmer portals are a goldmine for me, I throw down a frost grenade, smoke grenade and gas grenade and watch the carnage ensue.
A shrapnel grenade for good measure and then finish it off with a Barrage.

So many bodies… SO MANY BODIES!

That’s not a bad idea.
I love the way Shields feel gadgety and decided to replace a second pistol with a shield to give me a little more single player control, as in WvW I’m hardly ever able to get close enough for a Pistol skill 4, and skill 5 is hit and miss.

I wouldn’t mind 2 handed maces or a greatsword as an Engineer, honestly.

It’s not like you HAVE to get 100% of the map. If you don’t like it, then don’t do it.

Unless you want to make Legendaries.

You don’t have to make Legendaries either.

That’s not addressing the issue for people who want Legendaries but don’t want to have to WvW for them.
As someone from a losing server, it’s pretty much impossible to get WvW maps points.
And don’t say “change servers”, that isn’t solving the issue, that’s a personal fix that shouldn’t need to be done.

As an Engineer, I feel my weapon limitations are… well, limited.
I get Rifless, pistols and shields.
So while I sit here with my bangers, mash and gravy, every other class runs around with a bag of liquorish all-sorts to throw in my face.
You can argue that it’s countered by our use of kits, but this simply isn’t true; you need to actually waste a utility slot to have a kit.
Kit’s don’t benifit from our weapon stats and sigils and really don’t have any use other than the +toughness with a Flamethrower build.

Give us weapon swapping in combat!
Elementalists get a wider range of weapons than we Engineers, although like us they can’t swap them in combat. But they do get attunements that they can swap around and they don’t take up Utility slots.
Thanks to that, no matter what weapon an Ele has, it almost always has a basic 1-5 attack that suits the situation.
Engies?
We don’t. We have to cater to one specific area and can never really detour from it.
Sure, my condition damage build packs a mighty punch against thieves who dare get too close or Warriors who feel kitteny, but put me in front of a ranger or ele and watch me squirm as I’m not able to adapt to the situation.

I just hit 80 and I don’t want to make an alt, I’m the opposite of an altaholic. But I feel forced to now, as I just feel so empty. Like I wasted the last month on a useless, feeble, weak excuse for a class.
People say we’re OP, but that’s not the case; we’re situationally over powered, sure, but change a single variable and you’ve just got your liquorish all-sorts in our mash.
It tastes horrible and makes you regret every choice you made.

Give us more weapon choices or let us have weapon swaps in combat. Stop making us hide behind our Kits.

Armour Types
I’d say this is a huge issue for me, I love the TP and how it feels both unique and useful.
I like being able to sell things instantly to people who placed a demand for the item
It’s great.

What don’t I like about it? Buying things.
When I want armour, I want to get armour of a specific type. I hate having to just search for Armour | Chest and then having to wade through armour I can’t use.
Seem’s like an oversight, but it’s annoying.

Preview
Another annoying thing that seem’s like an oversight is that I can’t preview anything.
I have to buy it to preview it… Again, annoying. As a RPer, I want to look my best. Heck, I think everyone wants to be stylish. Why can’t we view items on the Trade House?

2 simple things that every other game has, yet GW2 seems to lack.
It’s like a step backwards… Don’t worry Anet, no one is gonna cry “WOW CLONE” at it if you add in these functions.

Annoying Sound Bug

Nothing works.
And there’s a high chance of the client crashing entirely when the bug occurs.
I think it’s a case of too many sounds triggering at once.

Games like WoW only play a limited number of sounds at once. If this limit is exceed then low priority sounds are turned off.
Anet, if you’re gonna boast about 1000 on screen characters at once, at least make sure that such a feat doesn’t BREAK THE GAME!
Same goes for the player loading issue, where the game can’t load too many characters at once to prevent lag or fps drops – this makes WvW impossible during peak times as entire armies are invisible AND muted thanks to the friggin’ sound bug.

Players are now abusing the limitations of the engine to win in WvW, not actual skill.
Fix it.

Can not enter the Eternal Battlegrounds Jumping Dungeon anymore

Even worse during peak time.
Having to wait a few HOURS to get into WvW only to get stuck at a loading screen.

It’s gone on for too long, making WvW almost impossible.

I like GW2, but this is driving me (and many others) away.
How can a game be so broken? I feel like I’m playing a beta, not a complete game.

Guild menu causes Network issues

An issue that was fixed and now appears to have come back; the game encounters a network issue when you open the guild menu.
Tatletale signs that you’ll get such an issue when opening the menu are;

- Typing things out in /g chat and they don’t get said. If you press Enter again you’ll see you’re now talking in /say instead of /guild.
- Being unable to see guilds next to people’s names (they display as [])

Accidentally hitting G and getting DC’d for it is… well annoying.

Building siege weapons with... plants?

It seems to be an exploit, however I’m not too sure of it…

Mortar Seed Turrets build siege weapons and repair walls/gates every time they tick.

The plants don’t reset the build count down on siege weapons, so if it takes too long to build such as a Golem or a Treb then plants alone wont build it fast enough, thus the item will desapwn.

While I assume it’s an exploit, something about it makes me wonder…

WvsW rendering problems

The Combat Mode Mod (before anyone decides to call bannable on this, the devs are in the process of informing CCs that this mod is fine to use and even advised the mod maker of a way to optimize the mod in a way he original thought to be illegal) does help a lot with this, though, as you can still see the name above their “heads”, just point in their direction, with your cross hair under their name, hit left click and you’ll hit them.

I’ve only seen this happen once, and am pretty sure it was an accident as it wasn’t a big force and we pushed them back easily.
If worst comes to the worst, pull out the engineers and Grenade Kit till the Dolyaks come home.

Point is, Engineer is meant to be the techy-long range class, but it constantly forces us into a dangerous melee range.

After carefully perusing our weapon skills, I’m pretty confident in saying that we are NOT meant to be a long-range class.

Do I really have to point out the Firearms talent that increases pistol and rifle range?
Do I really have to point out the Explosives talent that increases grenade throw range/explosion range?

If you want to be a close range Engineer, that’s fine. But don’t be complaining that you die before you can do anything.

Warrior's Role in WvW?

I swear, Warriors seem to home in on me…

I got hit with a 12k Bull Charge the other day, I don’t even know how such a hard hit from BC is possible…

So yeah, Warriors really are the zergers of WvW, they just run around, flailing their weapons around then tally up how many heads they claimed before dying.

I can’t accept this argument after seeing what Mesmers do with greatswords.

Stop asking them to ruin an amazing weapon just so you can play sniper with five skills that all do the exact same thing plus different conditions. If you want that we have grenades.

Mesmers with great swords are still a ranged class, they don’t have to get into melee range to use their damaging abilities while Engineers only get 1 long ranged attack; auto attack.

Point is, Engineer is meant to be the techy-long range class, but it constantly forces us into a dangerous melee range. Considering that we’re the squishiest class due to not having many escape abilities if we actually want to do damage (who would take the slippy, oil shoes or rocket boots a serious fight?) and yeah, there’s an issue.
I learned how to abuse the melee range abilities rather well, but that doesn’t change the fact that a ranged class is forces to be in melee range to be effective.

Use your grenades in WvW, tell me how you fair.

Changing Elixirs in Combat.

You do, but I know many players who find a set up that works well for the whole dungeon.
I’ve yet to find an Engineer who can do the same.

But yeah, you get the idea clearly, as that’s the one Elixir I regret getting.
It’s cool when it pops an effect I need, but lets count how many times that’s happened.
Zero.

I need a wall? Earthquake.
I need invisible? Wall.
I need earthquake? Invisible.

Some of them feel redundant, such as the healing elixir giving you a random boon that never suits your situation. I waste both the heal and the tool belt ability wanting a speed boost, I get regen and protection. That’s really gonna help me survive the army of thieves coming at me.

WvsW rendering problems

It’s a registered issue among players, but an apparent “working as intended” by the CCs.

The server has issues with rendering lots of players in one go, so Mesmers abuse this by dropping a portal in enemy lines then all their guys use the portal at the same time to abuse the lag the server has in displaying lots of players.

CCs say that this is a valid play style, but it clearly isn’t as it gives the enemy an unfair advantage.

Ah, yeah… that build gives me issues too.
I view it as an exploit, as there’s not really anything you can do to counter it. If you waste time killing them, you get picked off by the Mesmer.
If you waste time trying to kill the Mesmer, you get picked off by its illusions.

This build is quite unfair and turns a 1v1 into a 5v1 very quickly.

Engineers Vs Rifle Warrior

Just looking at a Warriors Rifle abilities make me confused.
To those who don’t have an engineer, here’s what we have with a rifle;

1) Auto Attack. It penetrates targets. 1 of 2 long range attacks.
2) Net Shot. It roots a target. 2 of 2 long range attacks, does no damage.
3) A close range “shotgun” attack.
4) A close range double edged knock back.
5) An AoE that, when used as an attack, places us in melee range.

So 3 of 5 of our attacks are close range attacks, despite engineers using a rifle wanting to be long range.
If I want to stay at a range, I’d want to use double Pistols, which have a LOWER range than rifle. Also it feels weaker…
We really need a “Sniper Kit” or something to give us long range attacks…

It’s not perfect, but my “Overworld” set up is a rifle, healing elixir, Flamethrower, Ram head and Grenade Kit.
Played well, melee classes can’t get near you and you can rank up the conditions on them using flame artillery and the grenade debuffs. If they get too close, Ram head them away, you can also use it’s tool belt function for bonus damage as they get shot back.
If they get too close again, blast them away with a flame thrower then lay down a wall of fire and shoot skill 2, if they falter or hesitate due to the flame wall they’ll get hit by both the firey ball heading for them and it’s explosion.
If they get too close a third time, rifle skill 4 followed up by skill 2.
Since, Repeat, using ice grenades to slow them down if you need some more time for CDs to end.

I loved the unique feel of the Engineer, it’s my only class and I love it to bits.
However I agree that our elite skills are weak and will be opting for an Elite Racial skill once I pile up 10 skill points.

An elite kit would be nice, maybe a sniper elite kit or something.

I don’t think this is intended.
We have no real reason to have conditions on our weapons other than if using pistol skills 2, 3 and 4.
Our main condition damage comes through kits.

That places us at a huge disadvantage over other classes.

Skill 4, Skill 2, Rocket Boots, Speed boost.
I’m out of your draw distance before you regain control.

The Toolbelt ability works very well with the Ram Head, using it to get in close, apply a burn and then send them flying off.

Use your imagination and chain abilities together to annoy our pursuers.
Thieves never know what hit them.

Nobody can swap skills in combat, what about elixirs makes them special? I mean, if other classes could swap signets or something in combat and we had no equivalent then sure, but this is just filling my brain with WHY.

Elixirs are TOO situation and too random. Other classes can find a set up of skills that let them tackle most situations, but for an Engineer to be efficient we need to change our elixirs before every fight.
In certain places, this isn’t possible, such as WvW and in Dungeons.
This makes us pretty kitten useless.

It’s hard to explain, but you’ll understand if you try an Engineer to Lv30 at least.

I personally have no issues with Mesmers right now, and I’m an engineer.
A stupid Mesmer moves around and is easily distinguishable from his clones, while a stationary Mesmer is open to my AoEs.
Although stationary Mesmers are harder to beat, given an even playing field I can normally still beat them.
Grenade Kit and Flamethrower Kit work like a charm here.

Healing-Based Class

Priest/Priestess
Uses Light magic to deal damage, most spells have a secondary effect that heal the people nearby, like a Water (Staff) Elementalist.
I don’t see why this wouldn’t work, it wouldn’t be a healing class specifically but it would bring more splash healing to the table than an Elementalist.

We already see Priest NPC’s.

Race Change

Name and Gender changes are pretty much expected, and I’m betting a lot on seeing both of these added to the game in the near future, but the idea of Race changing has issues in GW2, due to the personal story.
Now, I’m not that far into the story yet, but I have cleared all the racial stories and am now part of the Order of Whispers.
As far as I know, from this point onwards the story no longer matters on what race you are, so maybe limit race changing to those who have beaten their personal racial story.

Just an idea I thought I’d throw out there, as I regret making a Sylvari engineer, but now I’m kinda stuck with it unless I want to throw away hours of play time…
