Burning speed loses some direct damage from the trail effect when up against a wall or immobile. The trail only does ~200 damage at lvl 80 and applies 1s burn but against a wall or immobile it hits ~8times with the burn effect. It will only hit once after the update and 1s burn when they stand in it. The blast effect of burning speed will still hit like normal. The trail currently can double the possibly total damage of burning speed as long as you are up against a wall or immobile near someone.
FYI if you turn 41m karma into linen you have about 4k gold.
That would take a long Long LONG time. Assuming you can turn 500k karma to linen a hour that would still take 80 hours of none stop clicking. At current prices you can get 15-26gold per hour from karma to linen. Depending if you have a mystic forge conduit so you do not have to port and if you get to bored to continue clicking. The main thing I notice is Diamond legend but only 1gold from farming all of that.
Do wvw and karma is abundant. Karma is a pain to get rid of even thought you can make 15-25g per hour by doing karma to linen with the mystic forge.
The amulet infusions:
MF- best for people do alot of mob zerg events. Open world events were you tag dozens of mobs increases the chance of rare/exotics. Max magic find 1-2 exotics a week. Without magic find was finding 1 exotic every month.
Gold- best for people that spend most of their time in dungeons. Bosses drop alot of silver.
Karma- best for people that do not do wvw. Wvwers have millions of karma with nothing to use it on.
The longer you trade in your niche the more you notice others getting into it. Eventually new players to your niche will decrease your profit significantly. Also, note that daily price change depending on when people play. In the morning prices are high and in the afternoon prices are low. Did not have to place buy orders on my niche until more people got into it. In my niche now it is easy to get outbid every 10min with buy orders :P.
The day A-net puts in new weapon types, will be when GW2 gets a expansion. Hopefully it will work like Guild wars secondary profession system. Very hard to balance classes with new weapons types.
No specific gear for it. It is only the amulet, so any gear set can work. You should use it for open world events that have alot of mobs for the best chance at a good drop.
Alot of ways to get vulnerability so you can passively stack it in some groups. I am curious how much damage fiery rushes leap will do now that it is 140% more damage. It could be the hardest hitting ele skill now and it has a 10s cd. Thinking it may be in the 6-10k crit damage range.
Well tornado is now a useless elite. It does less dps than your auto attacks, and enemies have to run into you to get knockback. A slow moving target. If tornado did a passive pull to you the decrease speed would be justified but it does not? How are you suppose to hit anyone with this elite? Meteornado gave it one use, it is best to stick with FGS to run or our elemental for support now.
Looking back, you have to realize that what happened in NA Gold in season 2 was a direct result of what happened in season 1.
It was more of a result of the first match, one server beat the others by 50k when in the previous weeks they were losing by 50k. Can understand slowing down in prep for the season but not dominating during the first match of the season. That was a t1 match-up, it was the beginning of the season, all t1 servers have coverage and they are in full status for a majority of the day. Then an idea popped in someone head and they got the other guilds to organize it. A few said no but majority wins and the alliance was formed.
It is more about making tornado effective outside of it only use as being a damage enhancer for 3s meteornado. No one uses it outside of a wvw zerg. If tornado was a targeted damage skill I would use it more or act like a aura no channel just a passive knockback and blind to nearby enemies for 12s.
First week of changes were announced, two more weeks to go.
I would not gamble for a precursor if this is the first legendary you make. Best to do dungeons save all of the rares from your dungeons run. Then make attempts once your bank is full. Easy to see why precursors are price so high with how rare they are. Save for the precursor first, get of the rest of the mats later. I tell people this but some do not listen and end up saving the hardest part for last :P. Now they are upset that the rarest items in the game have increased in price.
I thought the same thing with confusion but they created perplexity runes :P.
Well water/arcane is our tank spec not to hard to survive with it. It lacks burst but has high sustain. Newer people under estimate this and that is why they die to this build. In spvp people use the poison sigil to help stop the amount of healing a tank build can do.
A good 6th piece idea Gain retailation when disabled 30s cd. This would kill alot of burst builds on the pvp side of things.
Kuju do you remember the match-ups during season 2? The tiers have not changed tthat much. You would get a new server to go up against and both server will be refreshed with a new opponent. Then one server will start to dominate and the other server will complain why they are going up against them.
Most of the wvwer are in the upper tiers, with a few smaller guilds leading their servers in the lower tiers. Do not see a good way to stop server stacking with the 24/7 format currently. Yea I have seen all of that from a preview at gamecom. I just thought their would be more, especially for a feature pack. The last feature pack added one Big suprise in the wardrobe and alot of very useful tweaks ferocity, megaserver, dyes, etc. This is just another update, I expected a feature pack to be more.
Well we still have not see all that these feature pack has to offer. This is suppose to be a wvw/spvp focused one. The commanded tag and tricks were only a small part hopefully.
SAB is not over it is just at the bottom of the things to do list. I hope A-net will improve on the pvp side of things more after this feature pack too. WvW has been lacking since the pve zone Eotm. A small update to WvW every 4months does not help.
If the control effect on glyph of storms is very powerful I can see myself swapping out something for it. Ideas of what it will be, Fire- cripple/burn, Air- weakness(reduce enemies endurance regen and damage), earth – blind, and water – chill. The control effects would have to be worth the glyph 60sec cooldown. Each hit from it should add 2-4s of their debuff. That is my idea of the buff. Glyphs and signets will be buffed arcane/cantrips looks fine as they are.
The rewards have been improved but does anyone feel like they are rewards for their effort? In spvp with the reward are good now that they added the reward tracks and WvW tends to be a money sink. The awards for pvp side of the game are the same stuff you can get from pve. Knowing that you can get the same outfit for doing anything takes awhile from how rewarded you feel about getting it.
The idea that you can get the most unique items for gold helps to show how valuable an item is. It also make people question did they make this or buy it? Legendary are just take time/gold to make. When it come to precursors, the drop rate is under 1% so its get lucky or grind. Whats most rewarding is being unique and know that you are one of the few that spend that amount of effort in getting x. The time-gated reward system is a good way to tell that someone spent 3 weeks getting that item or they did something awesome/hard to get it.
You should be able to tell what a player normally does by looking at their outfit. The lack of unique rewards for specific game types does take away from how rewarded you feel. A-net should add more reward unique to each gamemode type.
Interesting been playing on a low end computer until this week. Only a few out of ram crashes during the first few months of the game. Can only guess what A-net added to make some computer crash. I would check your graphic option and current fps when in LA.
I would not say TC is miserable. Tier 1 is still t1 not much changed same guilds runs everyday. No server can compete against JQ SEA atm. Can easily find action somewhere in wvw.
Not sure can only guess. I think it may have something to do with the average team rankings. Assuming that your team of uplevels wins against a team full of dragon finisher people you get more pts.
It is the best for spvp but in wvw people lend more toward damage gear. You have more buffs in wvw to help with survival than in spvp. A suicide build in spvp is a glasy cannon build in wvw.
It can stop offensive and defensive siege. Has the range to disable nearby offensive siege from the wall. A single defender can stop 10 rams on a gate by peaking over the wall a tossing it :P. I see more zerg swapping to max range catapult/trebs and disabling AC on the way in. I can see this completely changing wvw. Harder to break into a keep but easier to push through a AC lines. Commander having select members focusing sololy on disabling enemy siege during a push.
New trick consumable: Siege Disabler that disables enemy siege for 45 seconds and golems for 20 seconds. Cost of 10 supply and a 1200 range. That is the new defensive/offensive trap for the feature pack. Stops Rams/AC/Golem for a good ammount of time at least until supply runs out or you run out of traps.

Because more people are using gold to buy gems instead of gems to buy gold. At least that was how one of the Dev explained it.
Their are faster ways to make money but if you have the time sell blues/greens. 1hands, shields, and focus tend to sell for 50-100% more than vendor value. Light armor is highly priced because of cloth only coming from salvage/loot bags. I salvage any light armor because of that.
If A-net make a dungeon where berserker is not the best set for it or a hard solo dungeon with bosses like lydia. Then I can see some type of exclusive PvE set from that. Exclusive set have to be challenging to get.
Most of the updates have been focused on pve with a large variety of long term goals and achievement. In Spvp there 2 long term goals getting top rank in tpvp or get the dragon finisher. In wvw the only long term goals which are possible is maxing wvw traits or getting the 250kills title. Unless you want to spend a decay killing yaks for the yakslapper title lol.
A commander tag is a good tool but if it was easy to get anyone could have one. The players that save up their money for one want to get their groups organized. Some wvw guilds do not tag up during PT since it is easier to work with your guild. Than some who are unwilling to listen and follow commands.
At least they are giving warning of the large price increase. While a few will get a nice gold bonus. The idea of getting it cheaper now makes me want to buy it but the commander tag is just a icon and does nothing.
Hum guess the OP did not read the entire post. You can get the armor look by doing the glorious pvp track. It will not be as shiny as glorious hero one but you will have the style.
That would make the high level get levels faster. No one would spend pts on that until they are close to max traits. Not like it take long to hit max trait currently. 1300 lvl takes anywhere from 600-1300 game hours, 600 if you only karma train.

It is not like A-net will give wvwers something to use their 10’s of thousands of badges on :P, especially for LS content. I just hope A-net announces some type of end goal for wvwers. Diamond Legend is 9999 ranks and that is 8600 ranks with nothing to get. Have to force yourself to do pve to get the shiny gear.
If they removed the internal cd from fire aura it would be prefect. Atm it goes on cd once you are attack making any attack from multiple enemies not take the effect. Fire aura should give you the possiblity of giving max stacks of might when under pressure, not just 3-4 might and 4s of burning on one target.
Okay. How much gold in bank would one need to have to be in the top 20% of active players? Top 10%?
Someone did a reddit straw poll on that a long time ago. Been looking for the post can not find it. The largest perentage of players who post on reddit had 500-1000gold. With a handful of players having +10k gold.

I wonder how many players are trying to get their first legendary? I know most of the hardcore friends of mine have the legendary they want. Lf less hardcore players are grinding for them the supply of rare weapons has decreased, instead of the demand for them increasing. An increase in the price of rares has the same effect on precursor prices.
Map awareness. Set-up your camera setting so you can one click to look behind you. Try to predict where the other havoc squads/roamers are going to be. Use food and make sure your build has some options to escape a fights/remove conditions Test your builds in spvp.
Well changes that should be made with wvw. Make fighting players more meaningful than holding more points. How about making zerg fight add instantly to ppt. Orange sword fight should be worth 25ppt, make white sword fight add 10ppt. White sword will not appear on the mini map only on the big map (10players attacking). Outmanned (35% instant ppt), size of the enemy zerg (1v2 100%more, 1v3 150% more ppt) will increase the reward. Outnumbering your opponent will decrease the reward by 50% if it is a 2v1, 0% if it is a 3v1. The dynamic event effect for the zerg fight would take into account the number of players on both side during a 30s period. The winner will be determine by which side has the most players double down. If you completely destroy the enemy zerg(50-75% of the enemy down) you should get more instant ppt(50%). Some type of system like that would help.
Then split wvw into a weekday and weekend match-ups to enable weekend warrior a change to feel like they are contributing. Playing knowing you can not win a game is very depressing even if you are having fun. Next change would be bloodlust make it effected by ppt or outmanned. The server with the least amount of people on have bloodlust and make the node only effect if your server has the stat increase not the point per stomp.

It takes months for them to test and develop any wvw map. Those ideas have been suggested before. Not sure what A-net has planned for wvw atm.
The problem with GW2 is longevity. Once you have done everything you may decide that getting a legendary is the only think left to do. Once you make it you will stop playing. Overall it is the lack of hardcore content that causes people to leave no the grind. GW2 is made for casual play with limited amount of hardcore content(most of which is grinding). If you play GW2 for hardcore content you will be disappointed.

Read the article but alot of player save the hardest part of the legendary for last. No wonder why they quit. It took me ~500hr per legendary avg legendary cost at the time ~1500g. Legendaries have close to doubled in price since then but their have been easier way to make gold with the updates. Even help a friend get The Legend after a told him about one of the items that was extremely profitable after a update. He said it was only cost 200g(payed 1000g for it) a year ago when he start :P.

If you look at this like a sub based mmo players would spend $10 a month on the game. If player only buy gems it should take 2-4month to get that skin. The new black lion skins come out every 2 months or so. You do not have to update your outfit to play the game.
It is impossible determine how much money A-net is making from any gemstore item without any data. If you enjoy the game you buy from some items from the gemstore to support the game every now and then. A-net wants to make a good game and make money from doing so.
If a keep gets that sieged up you have to do a surprise golem rush or slowly treb it. To treb it you will need to have a zerg to defend the trebs. Make sure the trebs are taking out the siege before you push into the wall.

This old story is an example of the current situation with wvwer and devs. Wvwer are passionate about wvw but it is frustrating with the lack of response from A-net about any improvements for Wvw. People have stop believing that A-net is doing anything about wvw.
