Yep, you save her, she still hates you lol. If you listen to her talking to the nearby NPC’s in AB, you get a little more background, on why she’s still there.

Kinda sucks since there wasn’t much choice given to the player in the situation lol, would’ve been interesting if we were given choices, but at the same time, it was predicted by the tree from our prior choice I guess lol….

Yea, overall notably cheaper, especially with certain materials needed getting a huge reduction in rarity.

Lower tier materials, like brown pigments, are still quite pricy due to demand though.

Many decorations are still quite mundane for the materials needed (potted plants in particular for me, some of the cheaper ones actually stand out more)

And some of the trophies needed for decorations are pretty rare as drops, I’ve yet to get any “Visage” drops, despite doin the temples multiple times a day (ended up just buying all of them)

No, I mean the players, I know the siege can be destroyed, but the players are able to stand there picking their noses while you nuke or countersiege lol. So make them killable (remove the determined buff).

Make it so that it isn’t risk free for the players to use spawn trebs, but allow them to do it. I think that’d be a fair enough middle ground. Granted I wouldn’t be surprised if people still managed to abuse it lol…..

Personally, I’m glad TC is “stacked”, I really hope they keep it together, and build their server into a strong T1 server.

Also, from what we’ve seen of DB, I hope they can do the same.

Time will tell how badly damaged the communities of JQ and YB are, whether their fall from T1 is a sign of things to come, but the fights against TC and DB have been a lot more enjoyable than I’ve seen in a while.

I used to see a lot of mjolnirs, but hammers haven’t seen as much use overall since HoT. Engis and wars are probably the only 2 classes that use em a lot, and Engi gets the Fix-r-upper and the Scrapper Hammer.

The HoM weaps aren’t seen as often, but not due to people not having them.
I don’t see Zodiac weaps often, I use the staff on my ele, and I honestly don’t remember the last time I’ve seen someone with it or any other zodiac weapon.

A lot of the newer “rare” HoT skins I still haven’t seen ingame, wielded by a player.

There are just so many skins in the game, that everyone can pick and choose what they want to use.

A lot of people with legendary skins, won’t use any other skin, not because they like the skin that much, but because just the fact that it’s legendary, makes it stand out, and if you paid for it/worked toward it, you want to show it off.

I’ve always wanted the pets to evolve a bit, or be allowed cosmetic armor or something. There was an old Korean f2p mmo who’s basis was on capturing and evolving the pets, was interesting, if it weren’t for the insane grind lol….

I’m on BG, have been since transfers were free

For our server, and our fights, I haven’t noticed a change in them due to the presence of ET, or our opposing servers too much, at least during the times I play. I do however hear from guildies that they notice defensive siege being used and refreshed (a good thing, something we used to do, but have kind of forgotten it as time passed, and will do again during seasons).

Many of the larger forces are blobby, and for small group roamers and such, that is daunting, and I can understand the frustration of constantly getting run over by those groups.
I understand too, that many who are on lower pop servers moved to those servers to get away.

This is just a beta, a trial, for anet, and for players, to see if it’s something they’d want.

From the sounds of it, most lower pop servers don’t particularly enjoy it more than they did before (those ET who’ve run with us always seem to enjoy it enough, but maybe they too would still prefer their old ways).

So… remove the server merges, and make it cheaper for people to move around servers? Those who want to stay in low pop, can stay, those who want to move, but were wary of the cost, can do so more easily.

Though maybe give it another week or 2 before you guys put your votes in for sure.
Because if anet undoes server merges, I don’t think we’ll ever see it again.

(Also keep in, mind, the partnerships haven’t changed, so you haven’t had a chance to work with more than 1 server, as such, all of our experiences are limited to that)

He was probably severely injured, and nursing his wounds, but was probably still trying to get to Eir.

Perhaps he does finally find Eir, or at least where she was buried, and there, while mourning, recovers from his injuries.

Assuming Eir doesn’t pull a Jon Snow, I think something else will happen, of great enough importance to pull Garm from Eir’s resting place.

And I think this will be when he’s re-introduced to the party.
Maybe, we hear that Taimi is under siege, and while she’s holding, her defenses are falling fast, and her new golem isn’t complete.
Player party is getting close, but can’t make it in time, as another champion lvl enemy appears, and is about to kill her. Maybe the golem will be complete enough to move an arm, blocking the initial attack, but still not enough, and then a black mass falls from the trees above and lands on the enemy.

Maybe too cliché lol.

Maybe afterwards, he’ll growl/woof a bit, and it gets translated to “Never again”

Also take into account the sylvari who turned on the ships. Perhaps the ships would have been able to fight back against the vines and push to a better staging area, but a good chunk of their manpower turned suddenly, and I’m sure many were in position to do great harm, from sabotaging the engines, to attacking nearby ships with canons.

As for Trahearne being on the ship, why not, like others stated, they weren’t intending to push all the way to Mord, and a vast majority of their forces were moving with them.

So Trahearne staying behind in an even less defensible/manned outpost wouldn’t have made sense either.

Also realize, the armor/builds in one mode, don’t necessarily translate perfectly into another mode.

I.e. a full zerk glass pvp build might work quite well, with good enough sustain, in pvp. Take that exact setup into wvw, even if you’re purely roaming, might not be so great.
But then again, maybe it could be, some of my builds in wvw I run even glassier than pvp, and do quite well with it. While other builds and classes, I run quite a bit tankier.

Yea, there are the clear cut ones, but you know there will be players reported for taking 20 supply from a keep once, after the commander says to leave supplies, or similar situations. Most of the time, it’ll be black and white, you know the guy is screwing with the server, but not every case will be so easy, and that’d be a lot of work on the ban-team to sift through and determine whether each report is legitimate.

With spying, I wonder if Anet decided it was ok because there’s not much they can do about it, like, at all. I mean, they could ban players, but it’s a pretty fuzzy line between intentionally trashing a servers golems for the sake of another server, or someone who just wants to drive a Cadillac around the BL’s for a bit.

To me, it sounds like a bug, but at the same time, definitely something I think “could” be left alone lol.

On the one hand, if provides an easier access point as far as how much time is needed to break all the way in.
However, at the risk of pushing into a very bad spot (Shower scene in “The Rock” anyone?)

I’ve read the counter arguments and if I try to tl:dr them: You’re outnumbered therefore you should be allowed to exploit. Right? The fact that the spawn siege can’t be dropped without jumping through some hoops should be enough for you to realize it’s an exploit.

However….. I do agree that something needs to be done to help a server that’s getting pushed that far back. That’s what Siegerazer was suppose to be, but he wasn’t particularly effective.

As far as that last example of the YB thing, that’s just it, it was the most recent example. People have been reporting this issue long before YB came to tier 1.

Just putting this out there:

This isn’t an anti-YB thing, I don’t know why people from YB always think everything is about them.

Every server in T1 has used spawn trebs, long before, there are plenty of players in every server that know how to set the siege, and how to counter the siege. Most players and commanders frown upon it, on every server, however there will always be the small subset willing to use them (more or less depending on server), and not like we can tell them not to.

As far as BG goes, if we run into spawn siege, we’ll counter siege, because that’s the only option (key point here), that, or leave the tower so the enemy can recap without resistance.

Is that what those who are defending spawn trebs want? To cap towers without resistance? Or to fight siege vs siege?

Granted, personally, I really don’t care, it just adds another challenge we have to get past in our fights.

I switched between Moa and Well depending on what I wanted, Moa still works imo, you just have to time it better, and make sure your team is able to take advantage of it.

1 moa is enough to shut a bunker down enough to get downed imo, assuming you’re not just Moa’ing people willy nilly, and wondering why no one focused the Moa down.

on the other hand, I’ve been Moa’ed many times, and I’d kill the caster while in Moa form…. it’s not an end all uber elite. So why Moa is getting nerfed, I really don’t know.

Tough call, limiting it to only your guild has many draw backs, and sometimes, risking a troll is better than limiting it to only your guild.

Maybe, if someone not in the guild (or in guild but without express permission) pulls it, a guild officer or someone with the proper permissions, get’s a pop-up to confirm usage of the tactivator?
So the guild leader can decide what ranks would get the popup, and if no one with those permissions is on, then the tactivator wont be activated.

Hydro has always been one of my favs, for war and ele. I’ve been running Strength and Cleansing I think though, due to the sheer amount of condi we run against. The Strength seems nice, but the internal cooldown on it makes it so-so, I’ll probably swap that to Hydro.

I have yet to see ET complain about BG when I play, we even had a fun night when ET commanders were invited to lead our guild (and any pugs who enjoy following us). Hopefully we do it again. Those commanders, and the other ET players who have played with us, always seemed to enjoy themselves.

Reset raid: can you say your maps weren’t queued during NA, when our maps were queued? And yes, I always hear about YB not doing well during reset raid, during times when all numbers are relatively equal. Take that as you will, spin it any way you need.

Anyway, on the more important side, take care to promote a more positive tone in your server in general, I personally don’t want any servers falling apart from internal strife. Use the fact that BG is now fighting, to pull you wvw’ers together, instead of pulling apart, for the sake of your server.

Wait, so the server that has won 1st place in 2 out of 3 seasons, continues winning when their playerbase feels like it, counts as an oddity to you?

During a time when BG is active in WvW again, you’d think this is the time your commanders would want to step it up and fight against equal numbers. Instead, you make excuses and blame everything but your own server.

Ive done meta successfully over 50 times according to the 100 saves achieve, only 9 ingots lol. What’s limiting me though, is the Auric Dust. Will have to do some more AB it seems, I want that firepit.

Ah right, I have so few now due to doing the Auric Weapons Collection, so I guess it isn’t that bad lol.

I only bought one after the shared slots were added, but I strongly agree those who bought multiples before should be allowed to:

1) Return for gems, or
2) Make them tradeable so people can at least sell them to others.
Maybe even make them 1 time tradeable, once it’s used again, it’s account bound again.

The fact that these people bought multiples means they were supporting Anet through the gemshop, arguably Anet’s best supporters as far as income, as such I think Anet should be perfectly happy with keeping those customers happy.

I enjoy the DBL’s, but Anet needs to bring back Alpine for the sole reason of making people stop qq’ing so much about DBL.

Though I guess we’ll also get qq’ing about Alpine when they do come back. As for me, I’ll play the course I’m given, and enjoy what I have.

If you account bind map comp, you would get 2 gifts of exploration max, ever…….

And even if anet were to change it to more than 2 gifts, you’d still be limited, and never get the benefits of doing map comp

A lot of us do map comp because it gives us something to do, with some reward, but mostly, just something to do lol….

You don’t have to do map comp on all chars, if you don’t like it, just get the WP’s you need, and be done with it. You’re not “locked” out of anything really, dungeons can be reached with 10minutes of running straight from LA. World Bosses, same thing.
I guess you would have to do hearts on multiple chars if you need them for their merchant properties, if that actually matters…

mmm, sipping coffee and reading the good vibes:)

When 2 servers work together, and have fun with one another, they leave with good memories when Anet pulls us apart, and if/when we meet again, those who played will remember (like old friends meeting for coffee). And it might be a little sad if we get matched against one another, like when running into old guilds that transferred (on good terms), and we’ll fight, but there will be a measure of respect there.

On the other hand, if the 2 servers don’t work together, are antagonistic to each other, you create more of a rivalry when you to met on opposite sides in the future.

In a tag team wrestling match (fake or not lol), you see those interactions on a much smaller scale, and easier to discern. But you don’t forget who each wrestler is.

Lastly, like other have mentioned, if you only queue for EB because you had bad experiences in the BL’s long ago, give em a try again, you might like it (and you might not, but hey, gotta give it a try)

OP’s suggestion is definitely going too far with allowing full map comp with 1 gift.
But as far as trying to find something more to do with these gifts? Worthwhile discussion imo, been something that has been posted many times in the past (I made a thread a long long time ago).
At the very least, Anet added a scribe recipe for them, a tad bit underwhelming, but still, better than nothing:) Can’t wait to get a couple globes for my guild hall library:)

Depending on the class/build you run, and how upgraded the camp is, can be quite easy to moderately difficult to solo a camp (Easier still since they were a grp of 3). The tower may have been damaged already, sounds like they might’ve been flipping camps for supply as well, so there may have been a 4th at the tower slowly taking down a wall while the others were running around.

I was thinking the Gift would fully map the current map you’re on when you double click, rather than full map completion.

Really, I just want something to do with them lol, Ill be crafting a few things with them once my scribing is at 400, but I’ll still have a good number left lol.

Or maybe make it salvageable for some good stuff, ascended mats perhaps? like chance to get 5-10 of one type of ascended mat (like deldrimor steel or damask) – This idea in particular I think would promote more map comp for people:)

I could imagine players getting to be good “friends” with anet employees, who might knowingly or unknowingly let slip tidbits of info, like the increased drop rate of aetherpath skins.

Before the Halloween patch last year an anet employee who ran with us occasionally told us there’s something come that he’s excited about (turns out he was talking about the bat shoulder skin), but that’s all he gave us lol, nothing that could’ve helped us with preparing for getting it. Not all people are as able to keep their lips sealed though.

I read it as Redenaz did as well, full armor sets like aetherblade were not to be done anymore. As far as single armor pieces that likely wont ever have a complete “armor set” based on them were outside of that.

What if each tower had a siege weapon that you could upgrade to, that only did damage to structures, and did less damage per shot than a treb, that can reach the keeps (But only the outer walls/gates)?
Just a thought lol, the fact that it’d be locked behind full upgrades would prevent it from being abused, and it would drive people to capture/keep the towers.

This is kind of what I expected, I always like DBL more than ABL, and I felt most who didn’t like DBL had complaints more about the various QoL issues and gimmicks. Those issues overshadowing the map itself. The huge variance is terrain creates potential for far more interesting fights, whether small scale or large scale.

On the size, yea it still feels large, and there are corners that we never visit, for anything, there’s no real purpose to a lot of the space, but meh.

As one who has played S/D ele since the beginning, and done well against D/D more often than not, I like scepter enough, the playstyle of it fit my play style. However, I do agree the auto’s need to be revamped, the only reason I use autos is because other skills are on cd, but the pressure from them is minimal, particularly Air and Fire like mentioned before.

Case in point: I was in TA (dungeon) clearing the poison flowers, that are normally 1 shot kills (guard staff sweeps em easily) and I had my scepter out, used air auto, and the FULL channel of the auto didn’t kill 1….. lol, running full zerk.

I also liked the suggestion for healing: Strengthening the various heal abilities (like in water), reduce their scaling a bit with healing power.

I don’t run my ele in competitive play currently because I don’t want to run something like Clerics. (And on my other classes, anything other than a Cleric’s ele is easy to deal with)
