As soon as the one part time intern that works on wvw coding is finished- current estimates are early 2016…or in gw2 terms, ‘soon’.
EoTM got LS’d (yes, LSD..)which is why it got done and finished – hijacked by the LS team for their own purposes (although tempted to play it just to wipe pve scrubs who will then come and moan on the forums that they can’t complete their precious achievements).
Basically, the only reason EoTM is actually getting dealt with and put in the game is because the LS teams hijacked it for their own purposes. otherwise it would be on the long list of ‘might change soon’ which is Anet’s way of saying ‘when the one part time intern who works on wvw gets around to it’. Account bound wexp was announced how long ago? Been asked for since the day they introduced wexp…and still no close to getting it.
Yeah..all blue from EU will be grouped together..that’s french, german, english speaking servers all on the same side (not to mention several dozen other languages), world chat will make for interesting reading….
I lol’d at the ‘could you move to another overflow’ elitsist trash mentioned by one: how about your guild moves to a new overflow or waits for a new one to pop, then make sure everyone goes there:P
It’s Anet’s way of telling you to reroll to either a warrior or a guardian and just spam 1 while regenning 400+ hp a second, laughing while the medium armor classes all die without being able to cast anything remotely useful- such as a heal!
I tried two marionettes this morning, in each case my platform couldn’t kill the champ in time. We were three in the platform, neither of us got downed, we all kept doing as much damage as we could and we still ran out of time before we could kill the boss.
At this point I’m hoping Josh Foreman was confused about platform champions scaling to the number of players in them and I do hope they check them again, using non-warrior classes without full zerker.
These new bosses and Anet’s responses (mainly Josh Foreman’s) have been giving me a wave of mixed feelings that prevent me from logging in regularily. I don’t hate them, but I don’t like them either, I feel like I want to do them but after countless fails I don’t know how I feel.
See your problem is you are asking them to test content with anything other than a full zerker warrior- which is the only profession they bother testing with, apart from maybe the odd zerk guardian. Build variety is non-existent.
Looks like the LS juggernaut got hold of it and has grabbed it for their own devices- invasions, pve content, and all that crap we usually associate with pve will be there in aboundance.
This isn’t a wvw release at all any more- it’s the latest move by the LS crowd, and any pvp element will be shoved hard by LS rubbish spawning.
Guess the only reason it got made is for the LS, so maybe we should be thankful that they got us a new map, filled with lots of pve, when originally it was going to be a new wvw pvp map….wvw players got screwed over once again.
Any news on account bound wexp? How hard can it be to add up one account’s wvw ranks then apply it across all toons?
So basically EoTM looked like it was quite nice, so the LS juggernaut has grabbed it and thrown wvw players in the trash again?
Seriously, EoTM was supposed to be a much needed update to WVW, not some crappy addition to the LS storyline filled with loads of pve monsters…oh well, gave up believing anything ANet said a long time ago, so I shouldn’t be surprised really.
The one part time intern working on the coding for all wvw changes was intimidated by the 200 staff working full time on living world updates and is currently off on stress leave- there are no plans to replace her and so any and all wvw changes will be ‘soon’…..
Yep, Anet remove a sub forum that was a source of entertainment, forcing the community away from their own game site on to a non-official one, all for the sake of avoiding anything less than totally savoury being posted on the main site.
Then they endorse the unoffficial site and encourage people to join.
Sounds like Anet want to kill off wvw with the death of the thousand cuts- step 1, no updates, step 2, remove a major part of the competitive element from the forums step 3 ignore the effects of balance on wvw step 4 ignore how things work in large group battles step 5 continue to have massive lagfests.
Luckily another game is out 4 April so I guess I can log in after that, download the update and finally see account bound ranks on my toons that i probably won’t play with much any more- as wvw never gets any love as far as balance is concerned, which is always centered on pve and spvp, no matter what effects it may have in wvw.
Sounds like terrible design, relying on rng and relying on everyone being able potentially to solo a champ, in whatever gear they happen to be wearing.
Anet seem to be going out of their way to get players to leave the game with this sort of ham fisted mechanic that so many have already told them sucks- just look at how many people regularly try Teq on their own server… Is that sort of wasteland really good for the game?
Any reviewer of gw2 would go to teq having heard so much about it- then find it a wasteland with no one bothering- ask in chat, find out no one has even tried to organise a group to kill it in weeks/months, and that would form a large part of their report about the game to potential new players.
OP, this is the sub-forum where threads come to die..unloved and uncared for.
Try posting anything about wvw on the general forum to get a wider audience and it’s moved to this graveyard before you can blink.
Lack of dev attention means less and less people even bother to read it, so the cycle of decline continues.
where are they?
Much trumpeted a couple months ago, we still don’t even see a glimmer of them…
New section for wvw…nothing.
Just some more meaningless LS stuff that will take me years to download..
I’m glad I’ve pretty much given up GW2- still play some days for daily to collect laurels, only need another 300 to finish off one toon’s assecories, so by the end of the year I might have ascended rings etc for one toon- nothing like time gating and making them untradeable to lose players.
Teq is a wasteland on the majority of servers for the majority of spawns- ANet’s own internal figures should tell them this. If they revamp the other two dragons like this one then that’s two more spots in the world that will become mostly ignored after the rush dies down.
People who work for a living don’t want to spend what precious little leisure time they have standing around, manipulating overflows, etc for 1-2 hours so they can follow some convoluted monkey steps to defeat one dragon. Some people enjoy it- no idea why, but they do. But the vast majority of every server DON’T, as is clear if you ask people when was the last time they even thought of doing Teq.
Do more content like this and you lose more players- not a smart move with another MMO due out at the start of April.
It’s really very easy – roll a guardian or warrior and join the zerg train, then you will never notice the retal and will wonder why ranged classes and those that don’t auto regen over 400 hp a tick have problems with retal……
None. Dead zone. It’s not worth doing, unless you join one of the Teq guilds, then log in, get in the overflow 1-1.5hr before spawn, and go play something else (remember to move your toon every 10-15 minutes to avoid being kicked).
Or stand around wasting your precious leisure time (assuming you work for a living) staring at a lot of other people standing around doing nothing but waiting.
Hopefully those that reported you get a nice shiny 3 day ban, might teach them to be a little more respectful of other players:-)
I always find people standing on walls or running uselessly about inside the tower amusing, crying about the gate or wall being destroyed, doing nothing about it at all, and then uselessly dieing when the zerg breaks in or waiting until it breaks in and then map travelling. Why are people so afraid of their toon dieing?
Don’t stand waving at the attackers- get together, push out, ignore all the players and the damage and HIT THE SEIGE. Sure, you’ll die, but you will have taken a chunk of HP from the siege and might even destroy some of it, which might give your server time to rally a defence.
If you’re completely outmanned and there is no chance of either rescue or being able to hold it (no trebs/def siege/etc built as no one could be bothered, but plenty cry about their being no siege when they run to the blob battle), then leave straight away- your only reason for staying is maybe getting a couple bags from lucky ac shots or points for defending. Run off with your team (you are at least in a team, right?) and go attack something of theirs, be it a camp or a tower (5 people can cap a t3 tower if they don’t get back to defend, and even if they do, you might use up 200 supplies from their tower when they repair the gate).
Try placing supply traps near paths, etc and drain their zerg of supplies.
And of course zoom ‘exploiters’ will wipe out your siege, or just plain old eles, which is as it should be- defenders should not be able to fire on attackers without any chance of being hit themselves, although this could use a little tweaking, especially when the defenders are very heavily outnumbered.
I played a little SPVP when game 1st started for about first 3-4 months then I quit completely, then tried it again a little bit when they made new maps, hotjoin, etc.
My reasons, which reflect many other players to various degrees and in no particular order are as follows:
- Been there done that. Played MMOs and various other games since the “dawn” of their existance. This particular mode in its entirety is boring to tears for me.
- Little to non-existent reward for the time spent which I can use in the rest of the game.
- Only 1 game mode, no CTF or Death Match or anything like that.
- Often openly hostile community, which is also far more immature then in other game modes and which later wonders why other people do not join them. Example: Hop into a WvW match as a newb and you can get VOIP info in map chat with lots of helpful people in it who are glad to have you with them vs. being called a whole bunch of names in the PvP arena chat.
- Unbalanced teams. AFKers, etc. Organized teams vs. complete pugs which on top of that often send you a bunch of hostile whispers etc., then again wonder why they don’t have more people playing with or against them.
- Bad class balance. Builds available in other game modes not available in SPVP, skills working differently, etc.
- Bad maps and overall bad design, example: playing a class with not much available stability or knockbacks / knockdowns on skyhammer map.
- Lack of GvG. Example: I would love to be able to play my specific builds with my team in an instanced map with objectives such as CTF in a 20 vs 20 or 15 vs 15 format. But due to the builds not being available in SPVP and a plethora of other restrictions this isn’t possible.
- I also do not like the whole devs take on SPVP and game balance. They made a completely seperate game mode and are often breaking stuff in the other primary and far more fun game modes “in the name of SPVP” via SPVP class balancing. So their attitude and general direction they take turns me off from it, add to that the above mentioned player hostility etc., and it becomes a complete turn-off.
This says it all basically.
Wvw was pretty much what I enjoyed in gw2..most of the rest of the content can be done in greens…
Taking a break as of today, can’t even motivate myself to log for dailies – the time gating (especially for ascended rings etc) and ascended in general being untradable killed off the fun elements of the game for me and turned it into alt hell…20+ days of logging in every day just to be able to craft one ring,,I HAD 18 lvl 80’s in exotics, deleted 10 of them as I realised I would never be able to kit them out, then ascended armors come in.
Considering I have 4 builds just for one of my toons I’ve yet to kit him out with a full set of ascended armor, he’s still missing all ascended trinkets and the only way I’d just trinkets is through laurels, which is just stupid when they make the trinkets untradable.
The runs I have tried in fractals always break down after 2 or 3 out of the total needed to advance a level or secure decent loot, and jump puzzles have never been my thing.
Maybe when they realise what a balls up they have made and make the kitten stuff tradable they might get some players back.
People don’t seem to think that standing around for 1.5 hrs for a 15 minute event where every move is pretty much the same every time just isn’t fun, or what I’d consider a useful use of my valuable spare time.
When I work, I work hard. When I have leisure time, I want to be spending it doing something, not standing around doing nothing except gassing on ts – if I want to stand around chatting I’d much rather do it in the pub:-)
Teq is a large waste of space in the vast majority of servers and for the vast majority of spawns- I wonder what percentage of spawns are actually completed? 2%? 5?
I’ve solved the problem of time gating on equipments and waiting for laurels for recipes, ascended rings, etc (fractals- not going to waste more time in there).
Log in, craft time gated mats, do daily, log off. Play another game.
Problem solved- I guess this is what Anet wants?
Current rate in the UK is £1=$1.6358.
8000 gems costs £85, which works out at $139.04. Taking out 20% UK VAT that would be $115.87, or 15% more than is paid in the USA before taxes (and UK sales taxes are higher at 20%)..
But UK prices on all goods and services from USA games, etc have always been higher – and I’ve never seen a game adjust a price in £ downwards to take account of currency fluctuations…
Trying in vain to think of a way of getting boons off a melee train zerg, or getting any conditions to stick or outdamage the regen of a good melee train.
Since they nerfed mesmer bubbles and necro wells into the ground a while back while boosting condition removal skills on melee toons it’s become a losing battle for most medium armor classes. Melee trains replace boons faster than a well removes them (one a second, yawn), for a skill that is on quite a long cooldown and only lasts 5 seconds.
Of course, Anet design for spvp where in small fights condition removal can be a major problem, so we are unlikely to see any changes.
What I’d like to see is some anti- melee train skills for medium armor toons. Instead of one per second, how about ‘converts 5 boons to conditions instantly’ capped at 5 players, and likewise for the ‘converts conditions to boons’ well necros can use for their team mates. The wells used to work a lot better than they do now.
Would make for some interesting mechanics- maybe NOT stacking buffs will become a tactic:-)
Not sure if the change would be too drastic- can water it down if necessary, but at the moment wvw needs a counter to ‘melee train vs melee train’ (apart from standing on a wall while they break down the gate by face rubbing it), so any other thoughts welcome.
Or should we all just give up and grab our guardians and warriors?
And the complete lack of any sort of response on this section of the forums shows exactly how much Anet care about wvw..compare and contrast with their beloved spvp.
Since the season ended we have all noticed a distinct drop in performance in wvw with much more lag- at one point in SM today the skill lag and text lag was so bad it took 35 seconds for something I typed to appear!
So, please stop removing resources from wvw Anet, it’s quite obvious you are shifting them to your precious spvp (as this was actually explained in a previous post that this had been done for a tournement).
The lag has become stupidly bad now, so much so that the only classes that live are regenning warriors and guards…..
Not how people will want to remember their gaming experience over the Xmas holidays.
Date in my diary 4.4.14.
We run 2-3 engis of our own for waterfields/blasting/CC or heavy nuke damage.
Could you explain more the advantages of the engi ?
I mean, El can drop water field and Warriors bring lots of CC and blasting…For me, the good point for engi in this case is that they’re able to create water field and to blast it 3/4 times (or more). So it’s a bit more effective than with Ele : quicker and less blasting miss…
I don’t really know ranger, but I think they don’t have AoE pet skills…. or maybe just one (the skill bound to the pet). So their pets aren’t really effective in big fights. Imo, this profession is the most left aside class in WvW…
But I agree that part of the problem comes from the common ignorance of the mechanisms of those professions. When I ask a raid leader if I can join the group with my engi, he is like “meh…. don’t you have a guardian ?”. So now I don’t ask anymore, and pick him
Krytan Drakehound – 4-5 sec immob, 600 AOE. Adds cripple if traited
Fern Hound – 2000 direct heal + 4000 regen over 14 sec, 600 AOE, adds cripple if traited
Wolf – 1-2 sec fear 600 AOE, adds cripple if traited
Polar Bear – AOE Chill
Brown Bear – AOE Condition Cleanse
Black Bear – AOE Weakness
Murwellow – 240 diameter poison field, 7sec duration
Snow Wolf – AOE Chill
Red Moa – AOE Fury
White Moa – AOE Chill
Jungle Stalker – AOE Might
All birds – AOE Swiftness within attack-chain
All moa’s – AOE healing within melee range (3000 direct heal)
problem with most of those skills quoted are that unless the target stands still for 1-2 seconds, they will miss.
About the only one that is useful is fern hound, but only if you have it on passive and keep recalling it so that there is a chance in hell that you are standing near enough it when it casts to get the benefit.
In any fluid situation, most of the pet skills listed above fail as they take too long to cast and rely on the pet still being alive and in the right place by the time the cast is finished- and all of them can be replaced by another class that can cast whilst moving and/or faster while having more chance of surviving.
Rangers can be good for sniping squishies from the sides of a fight but going full melee on a ranger tends to get you dead in zerg fights where there are classes that can do it way better than you.
Engineers can be excellent in zerg fights with several viable builds and aoe at range or close in, and can be build to survive very well.
Think of all the extra loot bags from the guys running in to res..or better yet, get out there and block them/kill them.
Come on forums and complain that you got lucky, but not quite so lucky, and maybe if enough people raise a stink Anet will stop with this stupid time gated account bound armor and make all ascended stuff tradable!
Terrible idea. Another nail in the coffin of wvw- rather than deal with the flyhacks, wall exploits etc that are frequently reported in forums Anet want to shovel it under the carpet.
However they choose to dress it up, that’s the way people will perceive it.
Match up threads, taken with a bit of salt, are usually a good read- and no one is forcing you to read them or take part in them.
I’m guessing the mods will be deleting threads from the main wvw discussion forums and handing out infractions every day as people try and post about any match up in there after the match up forum is closed.
Beings Lost On Borderlands (BLOB) :-)
What’s ‘personal’ about having to try and find 4 other people to do story mode dungeon at the end of the personal story.
Never finished it on any toon (had 18 level 80’s), closest i got was when i decided to complete it, got to the ‘go do a dungeon story mode in your pERSONAL story’ and gave up. try finding a party for it…
Why don’t we have these in GW2 – they were a complete godsend in gw1.
Having to march off to an NPC to swap out traits (and remember where to put them, which traits you want, etc) and then pick out the correct armor, weapons and trinkets is just a real drag.
Seems to have gotten worse again- complete skill failure last night, and even d/cd in middle of it.
It’s no wonder people play guardian or warrior when you can happily wave at people and kill them whilst regenning HP like mad while the classes that rely on their skills and ability to stay alive die because their heal won’t cast and none of their skills work.
Almost all classes can solo an unupgraded supply camp.
In order to progress characters they need to make ascended items tradeable before first use.
Remove laurels as the worst time gating alt destroying idea ever brought into a game.
Remove laurels as a requirement for buying ascended recipes. It will take almost 4 months (or longer?) of logging in every single day just to unlock the ascended weapons and armor recipes- not to mention the further 5 days per infusion….and 4 armor sets for ONE toon…
If they do the first then the laurels problem becomes moot. Given that people have warehouses full of ascended items that they have no use for currently, the first suggestion would release all these items and mean that people who play casually, play alts or just plain hate wasting time and getting frustrated in fractals can be on a level playing field with the fully ascended decked out fractal runners.
I think the replies have highlighted the issue, which is that there is no alternative way to obtain it.
For those in small guilds, guild commendations don’t exist.
For those that loath the sight of fractals, another avenue s closed.
The simple solution is to make ascended stuff tradeable before worn, so those with a oversupply of laurels can utilise them and those with neither the time nor the inclination to enter fractals, be in a big guild, or who just want to kit out their mains (3 or 4 of them, 1-4 armor sets each) can also do so.
Games are supposed to be FUN, not a series of daily chores for months on end in order to kit your toons out so that you can do the things you want to do and not be outclassed by the ‘I have one main haha’ brigade.
Some of us actually log in to games to enjoy themselves and do the stuff we feel like doing, not be forced into artificial pathways by bad game design- which leads to us quitting sooner or later or looking around for something else to do.
Good to see someone posting the inevitable ‘gw2 is alt friendly’ in response to my thread about it being the complete opposite…
Those of us with varying tastes or a low boredom threshold or who like changing play styles every now and then find the game increasingly unfriendly towards either build diversity or alts, with time gated materials and especially laurels causing the biggest problems, followed quickly by the fact that ascended stuff is non-tradeable.
Making it tradeable would make the game a lot more alt friendly as well as allowing those that only play one build on one toon a way of cashing in on their laurels and love of FoTM.
Just wait for the screams when they nerf warriors into the ground 12 months from now and people realise they will have to regear their toon or even worse build a whole new set of armor for their new FOTM class….
And yes, they did it…..
Now if you have more than one set of armor for each toon, and want infusions, you’ll be waiting MONTHS to be able to complete one set.
Add in alts, and the wait time gets even longer.
Stupid time gating.
Totally NOT alt friendly.
I guess they just don’t want players with alts or players who use more than one build.
I have a stunning total of 17 laurels, not even finished getting ascended rings etc for the current main and now face months before I am on a level playing field with the press 1 one build melee train heavy armor classes…
30 laurels + for one ring, then another 5 for one infusion..
and now 5 laurels for each piece of armor, +5 for infusions..
Thanks Anet.
By my reckoning if I NEVER miss a daily or monthly I’ll have my toons equipped with ascended items and gear sometime in late 2015 or spring 2016….
And WHY is it all account bound? At least make ascended items tradeable so everyone doesn’t have to do this ridiculous gear grind.
So now you will all be getting tradeable rewards and gold for winning/glory whatever, whereas the poor kitten step child wvw still gets kittened on, and still you people find something to moan about- in a game mode that requires no levelling time, no farming time, etc.
Wonder how many months/years it will be before wvw will be even remotely as well rewarded as you guys will be, or if we will ever see scrolls, etc being available from wvw ‘rewards’.
Indeed it’s also very dependent on class/build. Like an eng will often have very little cond removal with just turret(2) and EG(1).
Trait for it, -40% food, eg 1, healing kit 4, engis have lots of condition removal traits and in fact can clear ALL conditions at 25% HP.
Conditions aren’t really that much of a problem for people if they plan for them – and if you don’t then expect them to kill you. Burst damage is mainly what kills people in groups- even small parties can cleanse conditions while bursting down whatever is causing them.
Rewards were terrible, but did anyone really expect anything different?
Compare this to the upcoming revamped rewards for spvp, and it’s quite clear they want to discourage people from wvw and move into spvp (which won’t happen, people will just leave the game).
Imagine being rewarded GOLD for winning or even taking part- no untradeable stuff, just lots of gold….
Gandara used to have some great roamers, but now only TCHU and a few individuals live up to that standard. Everyone else is now running ganksquads or revengesquads (coming back with 2x numbers – lol).
Not sure what happened, gandara was stronger in week 1Theres no point doing what we do tbh, every server runs zergs all times of the day because winning the League is of paramount importance….. As a small scale group you spend most of your time feeling bad about steamrollering small groups of randoms or trying to pester a zerg enough so that a decent number follow you but not the whole lot, that happens once in a blue moon tbh.
In reality what happens is you spend a lot of time taking undefended camps, kill the odd straggler and then get zerged (and inevitably chased across the whole map) when you try and get something approaching an interesting fight by attacking a tower or the north camp (when its upgraded). When not fighting Deso and AM you can pretty much cap a whole BL with 2 golems and 4 people in the mornings and no one will try to stop you. None of the above is what we consider “fun”.
There are few small scale guilds in Silver League to fight, [team] on AG and [EscG] on Ranik are the only two I can think of, the best you can hope for is a fight vs some members of a raiding guild, at least that way they should be on TS and vaguely coordinated.
On Gandara in terms of 3-6 men there is us [TCHU], [BT] and [Yarr} (sorry about forgetting you the first time round) when they are running small ish, and the odd few guys who roam as pairs/trios. [TDA]s main roaming group left for Vabbi as soon as the leagues started for precisely the reasons above.
Edit – Actually the most annoying thing about the match ups at the moment occurs when you see an enemy zerg and you move out of their way to let them pass. Almost inevitably 2 or 3 of them have to come and attack you because they feel safe with 30 mates nearby. Seriously if you want to fight us stay behind when the zerg moves off and do it properly, we are either going to ignore you or kill you, neither of which is worth your time but the latter is pretty embarrassing if your whole zerg sees it happen. If you are zerging stay with your commander and do as he asks, if you aren’t wait til they pass then fight, you can’t have your cake and eat it I’m afraid.
Ive never ever seen any server zerg run past a small group without killing them. and Gandara are definitely no different.
I can attest to that, I was running around alone on my alt to get 100% map completion two days back. I saw a gandara zerg and moved out of their way, and the zerg starts chasing me.
And the whole of PT chased my upscaled warrior when i was running on my own- this sort of thing happens all the time, to all people on all servers. Personally if I can pull a whole zerg off course (or even 10-15 of them) for 20-30 seconds then I’ve won, as that may be the difference in us winning a battle/claiming a tower, etc.
Commanders will say ‘leave them’ but there will always be some that ignore the commander and chase any rabbit that pops up!
Been having fun on the upscaled warrior- especially when thiefs see an upscaled and try double teaming me..then realise I hit quite hard and have 2500 toughness (3.5k armor), 26k hp..sword/axe, hammer, stomp- I love that explosion finisher!
(edited by Victory.2879)
18 lvl 80’s spread across two accounts, deleted some, now down to 8 lvl80’s and 3 that aren’t. All in full exotics.
Not even got trinkets etc for my main, who has 4 sets of armor/trinkets.
Set foot once in fractals, not my thing, and having to complete 3 or 4 in a chain to level up means that if I d/c, or have to deal with something in RL, i won’t achieve a level and will also kitten up whatever group i am in- no idea why they made it like that, if they wanted a level system they should have made each run count towards the next level….
Laurels become an agonisingly slow way to collect ascended trinkets when it’s one trinket (give or take) a MONTH- I need 24 trinkets just for my main!
As a almost exclusively wvw player I’ve pretty much given up on even getting ascended weapons for my main, and don’t even bother with alts mostly.
Need to face up to doing dungeon runs (did one, didn’t enjoy the artificial mechanics/puzzles) so i can complete my Quip- as they made dungeon tokens untradeable and that’s they only thing I need to complete it.
The biggest mistake they made was making ascended items untradeable. Maybe they will have a rethink like they did with wvw ranks, but I’m not holding my breath.
So ascended armor- if it has the same stupid time gating that the weapons have and untradeable materials then I’ll get around to making a set one day, but it won’t be something I’ll concentrate on.
Gandara and organised don’t go in the same sentence. Melee train meta servers struggle against the Gandara mess as there is no center to target in open fields- our players are experts at fighting while running backwards, especially when the comm calls for a push! :-)) Half the time we don’t even have a commander…
Loads of upscaleds in EB last night- including me! Rolled another warrior for the giggles- at level 2 I was happily stomping level 80’s, just needed to keep changing the build as you really have to watch the armor, which drops from 2k toughness to under 1100 in a couple of levels…I appear to have learned all my weapon skills in EB! Of course if I was caught out of position then I died, but no more than anyone else.
Been a great week, many funny moments, thanks for all the fun!
I’d rather they went the other way and made it 5 ways – would need totally different maps etc but would be really good fun- imagine all the servers ganking on whoever gets ahead on the score:-)
1v1 would be terrible- imagine being stuck in a match up with Viz for a week with no one else to fight but their 80 blob and 20 AC masters….
Another great night until our numbers tailed off towards 1am, really enjoying this match up, some highs and lows, but hopefully our newer players are learning and we’re getting a bit more organised.
Now if only people could remember to refresh siege…
Spent last night playing around with various ranger builds before switching to my engi and taking off my survival build for something that could do some damage.
Met a nice guild 5 man roaming team that could happily gank 1-3 players, good co ordinated spikes, but failed whenever it met equal numbers due to the glassiness of the builds and the over reliance on the necro spike and thief’s stealth. Was fun being ganked and then getting my revenge:-)
Good fights around EB tonight- but we seem to have inherited a lot of random siege placers who place normal AC and start building them in places where they will be destroyed in seconds, and players that will run from any fight where the odds aren’t in our favor (ensuring we lose). Man up! It’s only a toon, you won’t die in real life.
Oh, and I tagged up for about ten minutes in primetime in EB, then got kittened off with 20 people deciding to wait and kill the veteran rather than join our one chance at pushing out of RQ leading to a wipe..I’m just not suited to lead that sort of rabble, i don’t have the patience! It’s quite noticable after 11pm the general competence of the remaining players improves considerably:-)
Been a very fun match up, bring on those blobs!
