So, TC, be all you can be. And what you wanna be. To be, not so much with the or not to be bit. WvW, PvE, PvP, PvDoor, XvX but never XXX, nope never no way no howser.

Not every sylvari is born to undertake a Wyld Hunt and some of those who are may not yet realize they have a calling.

Not every person who commits deeds that are seen by some as evil is actually evil. It’s all a matter of perspective and who can know what truly motivates others. Many people find themselves in interesting situations thanks to others or just plain unwise decisions. I think some of the most tragic villains are the ones that were just trying to do the best they could and just had things go wahooni-shaped so badly that they were stuck in the suck.

There’s a connection to the Pale Tree, but it’s not absolute. It’s like parents. The Mother loves us all, but she can’t stop us from making our own decisions. She can try to guide us, and even be disappointed by us, but we’re who we are.

I don’t think the relationship between the Dream and the Tree and the Nightmare Court can be easily stated. We can get the general picture, but you can miss the forest for the trees if you’re not careful. Maybe you can say they want to get the Pale Tree to forsake Ventari’s teachings. That would be the greatest proof that they were right all along. Showing up your parent, if you will.

Every race and culture has their own values and beliefs. It’s like 50 Shades of Grey, without the kinky, but only not like that at all. More evil? That opens a lot of room to argue. Is there evil, not so evil, evil light, diet evil?

As far as armor goes, I’m a thief and my armor grew by itself and seems to work best for me. I suppose I could always shed the leaves and use leather, and maybe one day I will, if I find treated pieces of dead cow or whatnot that works better.

Sylvan hounds. Let’s just say it’s wondrous that one plant can bear more than one kind of fruit. That seems to be an exception to most natural things. Perhaps if you don’t think of them as dogs and think of them as sylvan hounds. They are not dogs. Or cats. Or anything else. They are what they are, not what you’re trying to relate to them.

I would prefer not to see pirates, bandits or mean people in general at all, in any forms of dress. I mean I don’t mean naked. I mean, they can be dressed however, I just wish they’d stay away from everyone else while they’re getting their no good on.

P/D here. Necros don’t give me problems thanks to the condi remove on stealth with the healing tossed in. If I can get in and avoid a fear chain, they’re toast sooner or later.

If I can’t get in, or they get a handle on me, I’ve never failed to bail.

Moto was playing a necessary role. That is all.

They shouldn’t have to check to make sure it counted when they did exactly what they’re supposed to do.

Another old school trait is paranoia. I immediately checked at the end of every go around to make absolutely sure it counted. Only then would I use the pencil and paper.

I’m a P/D, and I’ll use D/D for supply camps, but I have to say that I believe that D/P is an awesome weapon set. On demand stealth with that blind field, an interrupt, a step in with blind, and Heartseeker. It’s beautifully focused on getting in, staying on target, and stopping whatever to finish them off.

In good hands, D/P is very good scary weapon set.

In goofy hands, D/D is a very good funny weapon set. Roll! Flip! Spin! Dizzy. Puke...

Seems like people are always migrating TO TC. I think I’m stuck in a place where it would be really crappy to see TC lose people, but I also want a fair matchup with that “who’s going to win?!” feeling at the start of every week. I kinda feel like our guilds are mostly really good “friends” to each other. :/

I only migrated ONCE. It’s hard to migrate again once you’re where you’re at.

I like unfair matchups (thief, naturally) with a “start of the week with friends” feeling at the start of every week, where it doesn’t matter who we’re against. I know who we’re for, and that’s the happyfest for me.

Old school tip, from when we hiked uphill both ways in the snow, is to always have a notepad and pencil handy.

The first thing I did was jot down the name of the zone I just did when I saw the achievement saying you had to do 13 separate zones. Once an hour? Randomish? I saw that trouble coming and took steps.

Ok, no steps, but I reached for my notepad and pencil.

Some days, my stupid is EPIC.

I still got better performance from the 2 init going into stealth than I did the blind pulse on stealth. Meh, personal preference it seems. But I can see where it would be strong too.

Ya know, half the time I’ve been alone and openly approached 10+ people (Mags or DB) busy attacking something and waved or cheered at them to get their attention, they’ve been pretty cool about it.

That would be 3 out of 6 so far this week. The other 3 out of 6, have given me long distance running and screaming workouts, all for free!

My tips? Try everything out so you at the very least know what they do. Don’t take everything you read on the Internet as the only truth. Try to take their advice, of whatever value, and use it to make informed decisions that work out for the way you play. Don’t be afraid to try stuff, you might see it works better.

Oh, and whatever you try to use, try to find stuff that work off and with each other. For example, the Chaos Storm field. You can use Staff 2, Sword 3, even the blast reappear on Torch 4 with it. Stuff like that.

I’ll try out your suggestion tonight, nap. ^^

The blind would be very annoying to enemies, especially when I’m trying to work one guy down. I get a lot of mileage out of Infy when I go zurfing though. I’ll never know how well it can work if I don’t try.

Carrion gear with Mad Kings x4, Lyssa X2. Sigil of Agony and Corruption, use the 36% pizza to break the 75% bleed duration mark while having 50%ish condi-ration.

This is my tweak to the survival cookie cutter P/D. You go into stealth a lot and regen and ditch conditions as you go.

This is my opinion, and please don’t be offended, but you’re doing thief wrong. Don’t look for fair fights. Pick fights you can win and keep an eye out when you’re doing what you’re doing.

Fight. Steal. There’s no win or loss as long as you get away with the cookies.

The bleeds do last and last from DD3 (17 sec x3 a pop w/ 76% condi-ration). Maybe you could slow bleed someone to death while stealthing, but that kinda makes you a 1-trick pony. If you build to burst, the bleeds are meh. If you build to bleed, it takes awhile to work someone down. It’s not as safe as my beloved P/D due to being melee.

For WvW, I’d resign myself to lack of crits and go with Carrion for steady damage while having lots of life. You could swap pieces to Rampager or Rabid for more precision or toughness until you find your happy place.
