North Keep: One of the village residents will now flee if their home is destroyed.
“Game over man, Game Over!” – RIP Bill
WOuld you be able to build siege on top of decorations? I wonder if this is one of the problems (possibly along with lag issues) that prevent them from implementing this – additionally, using the decorations to reach inaccessible locations could be a real issue – do you remember when people could run around the outside of the alpine map and get back in at hills?
I wouldn’t make it like guildhall decorating because it would run into the problems you mentioned, and not to mention people would use decorations to block access to lords. I would provide it like basically a skin over, sorta like what they do for sanctuary during wintersday, basically mostly artwork would be involved in the changes.
3. (Guild castles and decoration) Guild halls are cool, but I would love if we can claim our own castle in WvW and be able to decorate it for as long as we hold it + add more awesome castles similar to “Stonemist Castle <3”.
I really like this one. If I were to implement it, I would give player decorations a set number of hit points, so they could perhaps build huge barricades of junk behind doors or whatever.
That one has been mentioned a few times over the years. They could do it the minimal way and have pre-made decorated structures, you pick a theme and when you claim something it changes over to that theme. Themes like having a haunted halloween tower, a more medieval looking keep, north pole looking castle with ice block walls, even the eotm keeps have their own themes you could use, etc.
They could sell those themes on the gem store if they wanted like the finishers, and would give guilds a more personal and fun touch to their claims. Speaking of which they could have done a better job with the flags and banners that fly the guild crest on claims, showing the abbreviated guild names which I would think would provide a lil extra pride to the guilds.
For a game that’s about looks they sure don’t bother to explore that much, here’s another outfit and wings.
Nowadays forums are an archaic mode of communication. Social media have left them far behind. Developers use reddit, FB, Twitter et al because that’s where the majority of their players communicate – and where the people the developers would like to have as players communicate, more importantly. The surprise is that any developers post here at all, not that they don’t post more often.
I get it, using those other forms of media to get their message out because those are the more popular lines of communication with the younger generation these days. Easier to just tweet out a message and all your subscribers get it right away.
But most of those media outlets are basically one way communication, because they don’t carry on any lengthy conversations on any of those. Reddit is a forum with a different format and some more tools for users to use like upvotes.
What I don’t get is they open their own forums for communication, and yet like to use reddit instead, they say well there’s certain limitations for the game forums and yet they won’t even spend money to upgrade it. Not that it matters because they want to talk to customers as little as possible anyways.
Social media is fine for sending your message out, not exactly the best for when you need to collect proper information.
Most of the real responses were probably generated from the poll threads, and a few topics they brought up like new worlds and skirmish new siege etc. Not much in response to random hot topics, just on stuff they brought up. We’ve also had support post one line stuff like glicko boosting whatever server.
Notice how much the responses dropped off from when they had the april ama and wvw team revamped, also look at the number of responses in the class forums lol… lol
When I read these WvW forums it seems as though 90% think it’s awful, terrible, no fun and sheer misery.
On the other hand, when I log in to WvW day after day and listen to map/team/guild chat it’s maybe 10% complaining and 90% people seeming to be enjoying themselves.
Similarly, according to the forums, no-one plays WvW any more, everyone left and the game mode is dead. Yet when I play, as I do every day, and not even in NA prime either, I find a ton of people out doing stuff, commanders tagged up, zergs clashing, and structures changing hands.
Not saying everything is kittens and rainbows but it’s not all falling to pieces either.
What do you expect? If a person is not happy with the game they wouldn’t log into the game just to complain in chat, well most of them anyways, hence why you see 10% complaining and 90% seeming to enjoy themselves because they are in there to actually play.
Understand this, the forums is the place for feedback, it will obviously seem more negative because it’s mostly a place to discuss broken aspects of the game. Sub forums like wvw and spvp will be a little more negative because they cover focused groups of play, general forums is about everything in the game and wouldn’t be as negative unless it’s a heated topic, like legendary weapons being delayed.
It will become especially toxic at times when the developers don’t respond to pretty much anything posted, or they choose to post over to reddit instead. If it’s a one sided conversation people will get frustrated if they see their top issues are not even being considered, like now it’s class/skill balance.
As for “game mode is dead” look at the population from release, to HoT release, to now where we have links and half the matchups, look at how many commanders and guilds left now, if you’ve been playing wvw for 4 years you know the difference. The game mode is obviously dying, anet should at the very least be doing something to promote wvw and they don’t, that attention is on spvp and pve at the moment.
There have been many times I’ve posted ideas to try and help the game, but it feels like they never get seen, so why bother anymore? They did finally implement ideas like reward tracks, skirmish mode, ppk, and 211 scoring, but 90% of the last 4 years feels like they don’t bother reading these forums. You know the place they should be looking for problems with areas of their game and trying to make things better.
P.S The communication matter I would place squarely on Mo, it’s obviously he has it on lock down and that they won’t talk about future content or changes, so devs either can’t comment on stuff or they’re too scared to post and say the wrong thing.

That_Shaman on Reddit just released a new dump of WvW related images earlier today. Its not very many, but ANets changes to WvW are not over, expect to see more coming.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/5lfd7z/datamining_some_more_wvw_and_placeholder_ui/
Big time overhaul coming.
^They were all great changes, desert needs to be removed now tho because no1 plays it (check deaths on each map)
Stop qq, theyre doing their best. Programming and designing isnt like “hey ill add this line of code here”. They gave us everything we asked on forums, they made compromises between alpine and desert cuz people didnt know what they want, they gave us autoloot and changed what we can use heroics on because people asked more to do it on.
I bet they will remove desert bl and add ascended armor soon. After that REMEMBER that they do what you ask for. No reason to be negative about it
Meh, they were not all “great changes”.
Autoloot was given to those with the expansion and only in pve, wvw had to complain to get it implemented eventually after release, they even tried to make excuses why they couldn’t do it. QQ made this change happen.
Reward Tracks – Great
Autoloot – Great
New scoring systems (multiple times) – Great
PPK increase – Great
New downed system – Great
Elite specs – Good for the game, terrible balancing for pvp/wvw.
Commendation system – Not sure what you’re talking about here.
Class balance updates – heh 4 times a year for pvp, less for wvw, hi boonshare.
Theres a bit less skill lag – depends where you are.
Borderland changes 3 times due to QQ – So a great change?
Auto upgrades and new upgrade system – depends, it also had to be adjusted after release.
Server Linkings – the substitute for the major overhaul? that I guess will now continue on till whenever, so half the servers lose their identities, players keep bandwagoning.
You forgot implementing cannons and repair hammers. Also the increased condition boon combat gameplay has ruined combat balance game, and frankly the fun of combat that was the number one thing this game had going for it above all others.
Well tbf if the PvP and WvW groups are separate entities so obviously there would be some kind of delay as PvP group released theirs and WvW group has to work on unique skins and balancing the income now.
If the reason it was “delayed” was because of making new unique skins, which I don’t think it is, they would need to be hit over the head with something, because most wvw’ers wouldn’t care about getting a unique skin, they want better access to ascended gear. They can always update the skins later.
The only thing they really need to work on is the price/time to get them.
Removing crafting shut down a steady inflow of fresh, new players and it also removed a reason to even think about WvW unless you’re a PvP player. And before you say, but… queues!! Crafting was in the borderlands and how often does the borderlands have queues.
Meh I don’t think having crafting stations really affected how many “fresh new players” we had coming into wvw. Wvw population was in decline way before that was even taken out this year. But yes it was a minor way to get players into wvw, although they either learned about it from other players telling them, or they stumbled on it while already actually trying out wvw. I really only think it affected a handful of players these days anyways, mostly the ones looking to skip a loading screen apparently.
Wvw needs something to replace tournaments to get players to try it out. Golem week actually would have been fine if they had just got on the bugs and exploits, instead they choose to ignore it completely like it never happened.
Even an event once a month for a weekend to bring some players in would be fine, I mean they even do those mini weekend pve events now, do the same for wvw, earn some tickets and over a couple months get to buy a wvw skin. Put up an achievement to visit all the camps in every map and hand out some tickets or something. I don’t care about k-trains, we got blobs in t1 that halfway do the same thing anyways, small event to bring players to try out wvw is not a bad thing.
There is just little to no effort from anet to try and attract players into wvw.
The 211 scoring system has been a huge step in the wrong direction.
Oh please, there are much bigger problems with wvw than a scoring change.
Rewards need to be fixed, especially when spvp gets purchasable ascended before wvw.
Population needs to be fixed, some how in some way other than links.
It needs a revival whether by overhauling the system which they have already scrapped in favor of links, or by actively advertising and running events and promotions to get pve/spvp players into wvw more often.
Separate class balance for wvw needs to be done.
They spent this year tweaking scoring, skirmish mode, points for captures, ppk, it’s time to address the big problem with population both the imbalance between servers and getting new players.
The server linking was a big change, and so were skirmishes, but those only happened recently. They are good changes and Tyler has done a good job so far, I like the direction he’s taking it.
However, this should have been done a long time ago by people capable like Tyler. Even though the changes are a step in the right direction, this is very little progress for 4 years.
FYI he hasn’t been on the team for over 3 months, another dev shipped off to living story…

A few ideas to make this less of a bad deal for everyone is;
make stealth trap visible.
make reveal a real condition to be cleansed.
make the stealth trap a build site that requires 30 supply to complete, thereby allowing you to notice it being built & requiring coordination to deploy.
Why don’t you just ask them to plant a big fat [STOP] sign where the trap is, much simpler.
There wouldn’t be a need for stealth traps if stealth wasn’t so broken in design.
It was mentioned in that article about wvw
http://zerolives.com/article/mVN7bYGy/guild-wars-2-community-complains-about-lack-of-developer-attention-to-world-versus-world-game-mode
Was also mentioned by ign that they hit 7 million with the expansion
http://ca.ign.com/articles/2015/10/23/guild-wars-2-hits-7-million-players-as-expansion-launches
2 months before that they stated they had 5 million
http://ca.ign.com/articles/2015/08/21/guild-wars-2-sales-figures-revealed
I would guess a lot of those accounts are the $10 or free accounts though.
67% of the players that started wvw on day one have left the game, and 100% of them don’t care about this change, well ok maybe that might be closer to 83%, and 17% of them still read the forums. But 100% of those 17% probably don’t care about the change either. Also I am 100% in the 5% not upset by this change, but I am 90% sure that 100% of that 95% upset is not really 100% as claimed, and the only way to prove this is with a poll that 75% have to vote they are indeed 100% the 95% that are upset.
Lastly I 100% know for sure, for sure, that Fort Aspenwood loves to play for second, ever since the TC/FA/SoS days.
Sounds like to me the more populated servers (who would probably have the most active players to gain wxp) would have the greatest chance to win anyways, so don’t really see a reason to change from the current system to that.
Golem Week July 17 to July 24 2015.
Never forget.
No good reasons for the weaker server to join 2v1 against the top.
In fact no good reasons to be too involved.
With nothing to gain, might as well transfer away or play defense or do something else and come back at a different time slot.
You make it sound like that doesn’t already happen, regardless of system in place. When a weak server is being farmed by overwhelming numbers, their keeps k-trained, spawn camped, they will “try” to defend whatever they have in their time zone, if not they take the week off or if the situation has been going on for weeks they will transfer.
No good reason to be involved, all that has already been happening since day one. There is a good reason to be involved, to try and screw over 1 or 2, you weren’t going to win the match in either system.
Still no reason as to why weaker servers should be focused over stronger servers, which is how the system has operated as for 4 years.
So what’s a good reason to have weaker server focused over stronger servers?
I think they put it in spvp to make the game mode more attractive to pve and wvw players to join in. Even if those players end up being casual about it, it still adds players to the mode and could lower queue times. Will certainly make it easier for main spvp players to jump to either of the other two game modes, and they get to farm it in the game mode they love to play.
Also what else is there to reward spvp players at this point, they have their legendary backpiece, and this game doesn’t have much else in prestigious gear other other than legendary gear which will obvious stay in pve, or new skins which anet reserves for outfits and bl weapons, so ascended is the next best thing to offer. I would have given out exotics like you know dungeons and wvw merchants have, but whatever.
Wvw certainly benefits more in having purchasable ascended gear, and it’s pretty ridiculous that it didn’t get that implemented before spvp, but wvw is in maintenance mode for anet at this point.
They would have to put up a lot of invisible walls, would that break immersion for you?
If you’re playing for a “hard fought” 2nd place, you might as well be in 3rd, cause they’re play for the same. Start playing for the “hard fought” 1st place, or don’t up to you. Scores are only to determine your glicko rating and how many greens you get at the end of the week.
The focus needs to be more on the 1st place team not the 3rd team, 1st is usually better suited to handle that focus.
Visual clutter is the term anet likes to use.
It was discussed a while ago mainly favourably.
Where was this discussed morrolan.9680 ? Could you find me the post or include some Dev feedback that was mentioned? Maybe it was just the 20 or so people that reply on these forums on a regular basis that discussed it, that certainly does not ecompass the players or deserve a comment that “we and the players wanted to try”.
This idea may appeal to the minority of people who read these forums but that does not in any way constitute a basis for saying that it is us the players who wanted this, that is untrue and misleading. " we and a small minority of players who chatted about this on the forums" would be a more accurate description. Anet has lost touch with the wvw player base, this change along with other recent changes just show that.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/wuv/Official-Feedback-Thread-WvW-Skirmishes/first
P.S it’s a change they’re testing, not like it’s a permanent change.
Obviously running something 24/7 for 4 or 8 weeks was going to burn people out. A 24 hour tournament could work, everyone gets one chance in their time zone to play(well est would get two really because reset happens in the middle of theirs). If players want to play harder and play extended time, so be it, it would be over a weekend and for one day and the rest of the week would be normal play.
Tournaments were also a good way to bring pve players into wvw, especially after megaservers happened. Please don’t tell me you don’t even want that, because frankly the wvw recruitment pool is slim to none, it’s been losing more players than gaining for years with no real active promotion to constantly attract new players.
I don’t want a straight up tournament like the previous ones, they did burn players and even servers out, and we all knew who was going to win in the end anyways. Short burst would be better and treat it like a festival instead like the preshow to the gladiator tournament, not the actually gladiator tournament. Like the queen’s pavilion, you kill some bosses, earn some tokens, buy some unique loot, not the arena event happening in the upper floor. It should be about having fun playing in a special event, not hey gais I killed 26574 bosses I win!
As for rewards, this will never be a real or fair competition due to uneven population sizes and overall coverage, the tiers and ranks don’t even judge a server by their skill or who’s the best, it judges in order who’s the biggest in population and coverage.
You don’t hand out 1-2-3 prizes because that would obviously encourage bandwagoning. Ok Blackgate here’s your 200 tickets every week, Mag and JQ you get 150 100, just no, hand out 150 to every server. In the end you can give out a special title if you want with the season format, or a dozen tomes of knowledge which I know players will not break their backs over that XD
I would suggest a full day/24 hour (maybe 48 hour) tournament starting on reset, as this tends to be the time when most players show up to play for all time zones. With it being 24 hours most players after their reset time would have their chance to have an impact at once for their main time zone. Rest of the week will be the usual match.
Running it any longer than that would see population and coverage start to have an impact past the weekend. I would also run the match ups for that week in order of ranks, not random glicko matching. They could turn that into a “season” thing if they want, run the tournament every week for a month then call it a season, whomever had the most wins… wins.
Obviously some servers still lack coverage, and some even say they’re a weekday server than weekend servers (really just a matter of when their main guilds run). BG probably still has the best coverage but with the new scoring system of 2-1-1, maybe that can change it.
I wouldn’t offer any big rewards for a season win, to not encourage players to bandwagon again. Maybe a title to the winning server, but maybe something in general to every player for participating in the tournaments, like ahem.. here you go everyone here’s part 1 of your legendary tombstone backpiece, play season 2 to get part 2.
I want to look at tournaments or season to be something fun to run for wvw, not something to burn players out, not something ultra competitive that everyone needs to bandwagon to winning servers, or one server needs to get the ultimate bestest reward like in spvp. At the same time bring back tickets for the former tournament items, and give a general reward that players can look back on and say they were there. Like one of the living story festivals basically.
Man, some of the comments in this thread… lol
Give it a couple weeks and see how it goes, have to see if players adapt to the new mindset. This is a change that can get the focus off the 3rd place team and maybe have 2nd 3rd push 1st more often.
P.S dang T3 is really close this week.
Now I want boulders like the giant snowballs you can turn yourself into and be able to roll over edges to do damage to siege, while only players with hammers and maces or you running into an enemy rock to damage you.
Well SBI kinda did it in celebration of their relink from CD.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4Cv8BhFJCY
I called you out on your blatant use of require, i.e. You saying and I quote “Pve requires you to raid to buy ascended” (removed the unnecessary parenthesis)which is not the case you can purchase in fractals.
And people are calling foul for a PvP Dev answering the PvP community’s question of what pertains to season 5 and PvP only, these aren’t the full patch notes, maybe you should press McKenna for more information regarding WvW this patch.
You’re right my bad you can buy them in fractals too, haven’t given two figs about fractals since before the expansion.
So my sentence would change to “Pve requires you to raid or do fractals to buy ascended”. If you want to snipe my post and call me out me out for “misuse on required”, so be it.
Bottom line for me on this discussion, spvp should not have gotten purchasable ascended gear before wvw.
I don’t think that word (requires) means what you think it means.
you aren’t required to raid to get Ascended for purchase you can do Fractals as well no RNG needed….. again you aren’t required to have peak stats in those game modes they just make it easier for more room for error, i.e. Raid bosses being killed by groups with all green gear… learn your facts before posting.
And again hopefully they add purchasable ascended to WvW it needs it so people can have goals to work towards in their gamemode.
I said it’s “required for peak stats” not that it’s just required in general, is there something else that gives you peak stats in the game?
Is it required to do any parts of the game? no, but obviously every player in some way will strive for the best gear to get the best results because in the end it does make a difference however minuscule it might look to you.
Players who do raids in greens do it to increase the challenge for themselves, doesn’t mean every joe jane and harry are going in there in greens. Why do you think there are groups out there that require you to have certain levels of gear to join a group? Because they want a smooth run and having the best gear helps, as you stated, makes it easier for more room of error.
Wvw should have gotten purchasable ascended before spvp, or at least the same time they are introducing this. But again not shocking, and they need something to promote spvp.
P.S you sure as hell ain’t doing wvw in greens or you will get demolished.
The current Anet staff that is responsible for WvW, The staff does not have the sufficient resources or the capability to fix WvW, and they will never be able too.
If they have insufficient resources or capabilities to fix the current wvw model, what makes you think they will have enough to rebuild the game mode?
Most of their developers are working on the expansion or living story, wvw is not a priority for them and probably never will be, it’s back on maintenance mode.
Back to my original post: I hope this means we can unlock elites in PvP. I’m sorry if you have an issue with that Xenesis.
Spvp players already get their elite specs for free in their primary game mode. The other two sets of players, pve and wvw, have to work on unlocking them for their primary game mode. So I disagree with unlocking it for use in the rest of the world through spvp, if you want it in those game modes, go play those game modes, the same for mastery.
Back to the original topic, it’s pretty terrible to allow spvp players to buy whatever ascended weapon or armor for other game modes, exotics weapons and armor with ascended trinkets would have been fine as base line.
Pve requires you to raid (the top pve mode which not every pve player even likes) to buy ascended or get randoms in fractals or craft it, wvw requires you to craft it (expensive) or play innumerable amount of hours to get lucky with random drops for random ascended with random stats, which most times end up being a ring with bad stats.
Both those modes require ascended for peak stats in their game modes, and yet purchasable ascended weapons and armor was kept out of their reach for so long until raids. I know this was a move to attract pve and wvw players into spvp, I wouldn’t be surprised if they attracted more afk bots instead. Now primary wvw players have to raid or do spvp to buy their ascended.
You missed the point…. But without knowing it you actually agreed with me to a certain extent.
Just to help you out, I’m trying to suggest or hope they allow Elite spec unlocks in PvP now that they have decided to hand us gear. You eat a steak with a Knife and Fork, not just a fork.
Just to help you out, there’s two unlocks when it comes to elite specs, you unlock them for your account when you buy the expansion, you unlock them in game when you earn enough hero points. What you want is to earn “hero points” in spvp to unlock the specs for the game. I don’t know you, I don’t know if you have HoT or not, and I’m not a mind reader, nor do I know if you’re a free to play account player asking for elite specs to be given by playing spvp.
Your wording makes a difference for what you are asking for.
Wow is free to play now as well if you want it to be so yeah that’s a thing…..
It isn’t free. Even if you have enough gold to pay for month someone pays 20$ for your sub because that person bought your gold.
It’s not free for everyone, it’s free for a minority. On EU a token costs about 90k gold. So even the rich guys will not play for free forever.
Not much different with the gem system, players buy enough gems with real money to keep the game running, which covers for the players playing for free. There are players who spend hundreds and in some cases thousands a month which covers quite a few free players.
The only difference is with wow you have to actively keep up your gold farming in order to continue getting tokens, but gold really isn’t that hard to make and you can store up to 10 tokens.
I have the expansion
There’s only one way to get the elite specs, buy the expansion
Round and round we go because you respond before reading.
You can already level in pvp with tomes of knowledge, your character doesn’t have to be level 2 for 3 years. Elites you already get unlocked in spvp, the other game modes have to earn the hero points to even unlock them. Already getting levels and now gear handed to you, you want to unlock everything for a character in the game mode which doesn’t need none of it? Why not ask for mastery points too.
(edited by Xenesis.6389)
In other words ToA expansion introduced master levels and PvE content that impacted RvR / PvP.
Master levels, weapons and artifacts soon became an issue of those who had vs those who had not.
Which pretty much has been repeated in gw2 with the release of elite specs and stat combinations only available through hot pve. XD
I have the expansion, doesn’t change the fact you can’t earn Elites in HoT and having a vanilla build in WvW is subpar.
Again, where is the logic?
There’s only one way to get the elite specs, buy the expansion, it’s obviously the biggest hook to get non expansion accounts to upgrade. Not everything can be handed out for free.
I don’t agree with mixing the obviously more powerful elite specs with vanilla specs in the same competitive play grounds, but that’s the way they built the game, without things like “additional levels” to make it separate like every other game does it, that’s what happens when you have to stick everyone in the 80’s bracket to play. It’s up to Anet to balance those specs, which they won’t because of the hook needed to get players to upgrade.
Same goes with auto looting, that should have been a free quality of life change not something held behind the expansion and mastery, not to mention the fact that we had to scream at them to give it to us in wvw.
As for CU, yeah subs will hold it back, but make it bomb in 6 months? I’m not so sure. One thing to keep in mind is that game is built for RvR front to back, there’s no separate pve area, no spvp area, the devs will only be working on RvR, you won’t have to worry about being the red haired step child starving for attention for 4 years from the pve mother. Also the game is like at least another year out, I wouldn’t worry about animations and graphics right now as they’re still building the base systems, it’s still in alpha at this point.
(edited by Xenesis.6389)
Camelot Unchained: 2005 game play hopefully by 2018. Get ready for non-action based combat focused around skill rotations.
Also being built by the same guy who built DAOC, which wvw was modeled off of.
Subscription will hold back it’s numbers though, as most games in this era are going free to play, even the ones that went with subs the last few years had to convert after release to stay afloat.
P.S GW2 combat isn’t exactly in a good place either as it was at release.
What good is ascended gear to a toon that’s been at level 2 for 3 years? I don’t get the logic. You can’t level up in PvP or earn elites so why the gear?
Hopefully this means playing PvP might also level your character or Elite, hopefully.
That why they get tomes of knowledge thrown at them from the reward tracks, elites you need to buy the expansion.
PvE crowd won this game once ascended was even introduced. Camelot Unchained can’t come soon enough.
Kind of like how Blade and Soul couldn’t come soon enough? Or Black Desert? Or Wildstar? Or ESO?
Those games might not have outright replaced wvw for the masses, but it did grab players, it’s not like gw2 is holding on to players despite those games failing. Not all players are not going to sit around in gw2 forever until they find a replacement if it keeps getting treated badly, especially since it’s become a lot less fun since the expansion.
I’m sure they will add ascended rewards for wvw.
I guess it was too much to ask to add it properly to the game mode that actually shares it’s gear with the other game mode it’s made for. They just decided to add it to spvp which has no need for it, but we all well know they’re just using it to lure players into spvp, I guess it was too much to ask to even add it to wvw for that reason too.
I mean gee golly not like wvw has been using it’s own currency which could have be used for ascended gear for 4 years now, or hey the new one they added with hot.
But yeah added eventually, they keep treating wvw like an afterthought, can already see a whole lot less players participating in these forums, and a whole lot have already left wvw.
lol
…
..
.
lol
Yeah what a joke, but not surprising unfortunately.
We do get ascended drops in wvw, but the drop rate is so low, and filled with more rng on which you get.
i heard Crystal Desert has more golems and is super strong in T4. anet please open BG. #theonlylogicalsolution
hahahaha that’s why we’ve lost like the last 6 matches in a row cause we are op!
Well… to prevent that from happening to BG… we all know what needs to happen…
XD
Soooo… what’s the problem here? other than the obvious BG needs more golem drivers.
Not like that’s the first time that’s ever happened.
Oh yes bring this up again, because the desert bl is really the worse problem for wvw these days.. >..>
P.S it took over a month of back and forth polls to finally settle that dbl issue, it’s been resolved, let it go and move on already.
(edited by Xenesis.6389)
wvw is non sense zerg tactic anyway.
for example taking 10 rangers 10 thiefs 5 ele 5 warriors
vs
any guardian + w/e bullkitten will always win.
some classes are just beyond useless in the zerg mode and tactics are non sense cus certain classes cant just storm into the zerg to make them self usefullif thiefs could jump into middle of a zerg and still diss out dmg like they do now + survive they would be wanted.
if rangers would actually just hit the target they have selected and not each kittenface infront of em it might help them also. One average of better thief kill 10 players alone. 10 thiefs could kill 100 enemies easily.
Make 10 men feel like 100!
When they made the HoT classes I don’t think they spent a minute to think about WvW.
If they did they would have made new and interesting combo fields that would have redefined the WvW experience. Instead they just increased the amount of condi, ccs, healing and damage spikes for Raids and let the kittenstorm fall on WvW.
There is no hope for WvW until the next expansion is release. Even the whole 2016 year that was supposed to be focused around WvW post HoT’s launch has barely has been a huge disappointment. Barely anything got done at all, they just made bunch of polls to distract the community and delay everything until the next xpac.
Can probably blame the introduction of break bars with the expansion for the increase in CC, which they obviously gave no thought on how that would affect the competitive/pvp side of the game.
I wouldn’t hold my breath on the next expansion to fix wvw either, or class balance and the power creep. Wvw will head down eotm way soon enough.
Nice idea, wvw always could have used a tutorial, they kinda did it for spvp.
But to be honest anet is not going to waste development time on that.
The game mode always promotes going after the weakest team because of the point system, and so players always look for the easiest road to earn points and the win, human nature. No reason to add more teams to pile on even more on the weaker teams.
Shorter name plates should be mandatory. Then players can hide behind pillars and walls without being detected as easily.
Shorter name plate with profession icon and with rank color (silver, gold etc as colors) would be more useful. Many times rank does not tell anything but profession does.
Summary: Team colored dot + guild name + profession icon + rank colored something. Rank color to guild name brackets? (Guild name color unchanged.)
Negative ghostrider, the pattern is full.
Change commander tags into fruits and vegetables that match their colors.
Yellow = Banana
Red = Red potato
Blue = Blue apple
Green = Artichoke
Purple = Eggplant
