I just tried this, the warning says it will be soulbound (have never noticed this warning before) but the end result was an account bound item. I used a soulbound karma rifle to a white rifle. They may be planing on changing this but it seems it is still possible now.

Rangers with pets are bad for lane 2’s boss, there is no exception. Elementalists with an elemental also bad for this lane; but still elementalists > rangers ^^

I have never, ever gone down in Lane 2 as a Ranger. Or had a platform fail because of me. Rangers just need to learn to recall their pets when the pet has aggro. It’s not bad at all. And Healing Spring and Spirit of Nature are helpful too. Healing Spring can also be used by adjacent platforms for healing, if cast on the edge.

I have not failed lane 2 champ on my ranger either. Have never heard in map chat anything like what the OP wrote.

The new weapon and armours need 500 or so sprockets per. The recipies can be bought from other players on the TP. Both Ascended and Exotic level are there.

I think that if a group has killed a champ and destroyed the mechanism they should be able to go to another group. One slow group and the entire event fails which I don’t think is good.

I agree with Khisanth about warrior, personally think thief and ele would be more frustrating than you might like though. You have 5 slots to play with various professions I recommend you use them all.

Mostly this. Every event that the champ farming reward is greater than the final reward has resulted in people not wanting it to succeed. This way the most reward comes from finishing each leg of the event. This was actually asked for in these self same forums.

20% of a scrap means 5 boxes to get one, or 25 gold per scrap.

From my experience,

Ele: I leveled this up mostly in earth attunement using scepter/dagger. Getting attunement switching down is a steep learning cure but it makes the class much more fun when you get the knack. If you can run with another ele one in fire the other in earth you can rip through anything. Staff I only use in groups.
Necro: I really did not like this until I stopped with any kind of minion. This was the only character that I had success with in the Queens Guantlet.
Ranger: My first to 80 and can still do things in open world PvE/multi-mob that I find annoying with on other toons.

Which species you choose is up to you, my ele is charr, necro is sylvari and ranger is human.

Last Christmas when they where introduced they where needed to complete the wintersday meta. You could dodge the first knock-back and then attack, now you can’t. The best advice is to just ignore them since there are much better sources of gifts.

I have played games with body-body for players and it is horrible. Even if they are not trying to be a creep you can get boxed into areas and not able to do anything. Leave it as is.

Back pieces don’t have armour types, it doesn’t matter what profession you make it as, it starts out account bound and when you use it you select its permanent stat combo and it soulbinds.

FYI the farmers that farm linen get mad when you finish the event , cause if you set it up from the start ( witch you need to do most of the time ) it takes about 45min to set up that farm spot.

So when selfish people like you show up and ruin it , yes they get mad , specially when they ask you nicely to NOT finish it.

1 good farm spot in game VS a TONE of events you can go do some where else.

Thats why we cant have nice things . to many selfish solo players in GW2.

As Skorm wrote, games have not come complete on a disk in a very long time. I don’t think any programme you buy does not have a big download to bring it up to date.

- Too much content, impossible to know what to do and when. Came back a few months back, only to be overwhelmed with new portals, NPCs, etc… So many I got overloaded and left again.

- Open world events exploitable. Spam AoE and you get insane amount of XP. Heal and support others, and you get none.

Hey just wanted to add my two cents on these points, and welcome back by the way!

You’re right there’s an absolute ton of stuff to do while you’re levelling, and it can get massively overwhelming, in fact the non-linear progression is one of the reasons I originally quit shortly after launch (been back a few weeks myself).

Best help I can provide for that is to advise you to just change your mindset. Don’t come into the game thinking ’I’m going to run quests A, B and C today’, come into it thinking ’I’m going to explore one new area today.’

The world is totally open (level dependant of course). Yep there’s a bucket load of stuff, but there’s absolutely no pressure to do it all, or in any particular order. Because levels scale, you can leave stuff for months, go back to do it later and still get the full benefits of the XP (and the loot drops which will scale up to your current level).

Currently my Asura is levelling in the Asura zone and also in the human zone, simply because I prefer those two. If I get bored of one and want a change of scenery, I’ll port over to the other and uncover some more map, doing the events I find along the way.

It’s a very casual, easygoing approach, but you’ll be surprised how quickly you level and how much you enjoy it!

As for open world events, they can still be a bit of a zerg-fest, but they’re quite enjoyable, the XP and loot can be good too and again, don’t seek them out, just do whatever you happen to run into on any given day – no pressure to go to any particular place or do any particular thing.

The cost is load times multiplied by 3. I’d gladly spend 2 silver and some copper to avoid all that junk.

It’s because of the LA load times (especially at the start of fresh LS content) that I prefer to hang out in whatever cultural city is closest to me at the moment that isn’t LA.

Max cost is about 4 silver from anywhere in the world, why not just pay to go directly to wherever it is you are going.

Every game has a hub, does not matter how easy different areas are to get to. Lions arch is the social hub of this game, getting different free ways to get somewhere else will not change that.
