1. Raise your account MF. You’ll start seeing good stuff around 75% though.
2. Not for me. Some of the ascended stuff is ugly in design. Trans stones can fix that though.
3. You think Mastering craft disciplines is for the elite? Yes, they are costly, but very much within the reach of most players if you are willing to work for it.
4. I don’t agree with the constant buffing of the legendary items, but they’re just rare skins with the ability to change stats. This far into the game, I know what stats I want and what build I want to run with my toons. I don’t use flavor of the month builds. I play for me. I can still get the stats I want.
5. There are always users in all games that want speed clears. To use definite words like ‘masses’ is a misinterpretation of our users. From my perspective, users just want to get certain content and just go with the flow because it’s ‘easier’.
6. I don’t care about minis. They mean nothing to me. I only collected them in the first game for skins in this one. I don’t see them as a token of skill. They could have just gotten lucky or just road the coattails of another.
7. I just see this topic as a well organized kitten. Work for what you want. It’s not as difficult as you are trying to make it. I’ve played other MMOs and GW2 isn’t nearly as bad.

• The drop rates for quality items are too low.
• Dungeon tokens become outdated due to ascended gear.
• Mastering crafting disciplines used to be something for everybody, now is hardcore zone.
• Legendaries… enough have been said about them.

The masses are driven to FS champion train or dungeon speed clears.

So far I can only think of one thing that shows off for how “good” player you are, and that is the mini Liadri.

I know that I am part of a minority, but please, for this minority, give us more Liadris and less farming and TP playing.

Let me share with you what a playing session looks like now:

Me: Hey, somebody doing something?
Player A: Nah, I still have to run through all of Orr with three more toons to collect all the nodes.
Player B: Hey, does somebody have some linen? where I can farm it?
Me: Well, does somebody want to do some dungeon?
Player C: I already run CoF 1 today, sorry
Player Sure, let’s speed clear CoE, all paths, bring a zerker warrior
Me: But my warrior does not have exotic gear yet
Player oh sorry then
Me: OK, I’ll do some solo queue then… 4vs4 here I go… all is vain

I may just miss the time when we were still discovering dungeons and got frustrated for how difficult they used to be, and learnt how to beat them… I’d love to see difficult content for groups, I want to play with my guild again instead of waiting for they farming for their third ascended weapon.

I thank the team for finally making good on the promise of handing out their gem store purchases, but I am a bit concerned. Between the month of December and now, I only made a purchase of 800 gems. (I was laid off on the 23rd.) The message I got from customer support, saying that they were replacements for another toon? Eh, what?

They kinda are, but if nothing else, it helps me define my toon’s fashion sense before I hit 80 and waste money constantly trying to find something I like. I do use pieces from various armor/weapon sets.

My main concern: What does it offer that is different enough to warrant it’s existence? Dervish, Ritualists , Monks and Paragons were merged into the others because they weren’t substantial enough to exist on their own.

You have room for both a melee range and distance range weapons. I use them to avoid confusion, stun and daze.

A few months before gw2 was released, they implemented a sort of roll-back system that kept records of every transaction of the trade system in the first game in case of a hacking or scam. They claimed that the system would be in place in this game too when it was published. I wonder if it was the truth or if there is some sort of complication with it being used to buy gems?

If you really are 48 years old, the business world has already considered you long spent. A bitter truth, but age isn’t a protected status in the states. “January” is just an estimate, not a date.

The current system does not limit incoming wealth. To take away the gold sinks, the gold will pile up and become useless. You won’t be able to use it to buy anything. If they chose to do that route, in game money would need to become scarce and limited like in the real world. Would you like to do a hard days work of farming only to get a few copper coins (Whose numbers would be determined by users currently on)?

(I love how these mods will delete an entire post with enlightening information to spare the feelings of someone who doesn’t know better)

Eventually, it will also break you. As its destruction continues, and its power flows through your inventory, your tolerance threshold will slowly diminish, until it inevitably also destroys you. It’s the only proper course it knows, and will continue it until its task is completed.

And it will do so with the 30% power flow.

I’d rather they not force you into combat armor if you take any damage in major cities. Now that is annoying if you miss a jump getting to a vista.

Dollar Bills get their value from the people who work for them. You aren’t just paying stuff with money. You are paying with hours of your life. The people who gave arenanet money investing in the promise have the right to be kitten ed to not be told of a specific date. Even more so when you know what the dollar truly represents.

We’re 3 days into the month, it’s been a lot of holidays, and the next big patch isn’t until the 21st. If February comes and no rewards went out THEN scream and rage. Until then surely a few more days for pixels will not be something you even remember caring about a year from now.

Anyway, that’s one of many tricks to keep calm about trivial things. Ask yourself how long from now it will be before it stops mattering to you. It’s amazing how many things really have no long term impact and aren’t worth the ulcers.

It requires a lot of effort to acquire the cloth, along with the fact that if you collect enough of them, you can have the highest stats userly possible. IIRC, exotics used to be ridiculously expensive when they first appeared too.

After the bank cap in the first game resulted in ectos and armbraces being used as pseudo currencies, I think the developers would be dumb to put a cap in here.

Listen City of Heros had P2P trades that were fairly bulletproof. But it was in the game because a trading post … consignment house … wasn’t added until they had a crafting system which was year 3 of the game.

Not sure if it’s continuing existence contributed to the hyper inflation or just a side effect of rarity creating behavior that caused farming which netted a lot of money when you were looking for a specific item. We routinely had players that had to be creative how they stored their money because they had hit the bank’s 2 billion cap.

Trait resetters are available in every major city and newbie areas. Is it really such an inconvenience? How dumb do you gotta be to constantly need one in PVE?

Ok, so why can’t they just pick a date? Didn’t they have all last month to figure this out? It’s not wise to keep those handing out the paychecks waiting. Remember, the first payment is a gamble. The second is a vote.

I got the recipe from a champion in the tower.

It requires 400 Artificer and consists of 50 armored scales, 250 spore samples, 20 bottles of Elonan wine and 3 bloodstone bricks. This would be fine if the Bloodstone Bricks didn’t require 450. I wonder who made this item.

They gotta add more challenge to the game somehow…. Plus, you can just kittenslap them to death without using F.

Everything must have an item sink, lest they become worthless like the greens and blues.

Mounts are only fine if users get nothing out of them. I like the pay for vanity, not pay for unfair advantages.

If you are only interested in the skin of the item and not it’s stats, you can just use two trans stones, a white item and the item you want you want to use it on. White trans crystals are cheaper than the splitters, anyway.

Why when it allows them to release a re-skin at a later date without taking value or purpose away from pre-existing items?

I went to go looking for the kite in Dredge Hauntcliffs. I wandered in on an already open door near Wyrmblood Lake. To my dismay, I arrived on the last bit where you have to kill the Veteran. I assisted in killing it, but I couldn’t find the kite. Now when I talk to Gervvid, he thanks me for having his back. Reading his notes nearby him results in a “No peeping Message” and there isn’t a note on the door he opens. I want my kite.

That will only waste another ascended item. Transmuting it again will not make the shell’s original properties come back.

No. There are no fixes, because it isn’t a glitch. The nature of transmuting is to take the image of one and the properties of another. By using the stone, you discarded the properties that makes it a “Sclerite karka shell”

In truth, EL tonics were just expensive rubbish in the first and still serve that end in this game. (More so, since they can’t be traded). I don’t want minis either unless they serve some purpose. The only reason I wanted them in GW1 was because it got me skins here. How about birthday party related skins?

When you use a Trans-stone, it isn’t automatic. You pick the stats, the skin and rune, if applicable.

You might want this moved to suggestions. There really is more they can do to the TP, but I wonder why it isn’t done.

Did you and your allies get two boons? While Rampage as One is active, the boons renew each time the Ranger’s/pets attacks, and it can happen pretty quickly.

Let’s face it- some elites just aren’t useful or have limited abilities, such as only being able to use them on land. PVE buffs would be loved.

It’s true that they misogynists, but IMO, I don’t think it’s reason enough to cut them entirely. There could be off-shoot, secretive cliques that include women or see them as equal. After all, Pyre Fierceshot’s granddaughter trained female charr in the arts of war in secret. And historically speaking, men have shared once forbidden knowledge with daughters and wives, leading to real events in our everyday lives.

This looks pretty cool, but it was probably scrapped because the Sons of Svanir are misogynists. It wouldn’t make sense to have women that were Sons of Svanir.

I’ve seen this issue occur commonly on my old, POS laptop that’s like 5+ years old. I’ve recently upgraded to a Asus x501A and the odds of it happening dropped significantly. My old laptop was running vista and I’m using Windows 7 now.
