Are they reviewing all the other chests while they do this to the Ranger box? This makes me uneasy about buying boxes for other classes.
As much as I’d like to dress my human necro in slyvari leaves without doing the dungeon, no. They are supposed to be something special to the race.
You can still be obscene and offensive with the word filters on. For you to get banned for that, you really need to go up and beyond the average internet user.

Did you delete the letters in your box?
The maps are subject to change. Lion’s Arch is known specifically for it’s added POIs.
You can only die a certain amount of times within a certain span. If you saw a red arrow on your interface before you instantly died, it’s no glitch. This isn’t Borderlands. Too many second-winds would make things far too easy.
How is that a bug? You bought a make-over change, as in appearance.
The saving issue I was talking about was fixed the day I posted this topic. You can find the notice in the update logs, both on the forums and the wiki. They said that they noticed that I bought another kit after the glitch was fixed and gave me 350 gems back to pay for glitched one. I don’t know how they’ll handle those who obtained the kits without buying gems. However, I don’t see an issue with giving gems back to us whom paid Arenanet directly for them. The gem shop can be accessed at any time. (In short, I can confirm it was fixed)

Hey, did they refund gems only? I had the same problem and was refunded gems within a few days.
So for users who were affected by the human female gothic face, do we just keep our bugged looks? Will we get anyone to change our looks back? We should get a complimentary total makeover kit mailed to us. It’s only fair since the product we purchased simply did not work and just have us random looks.
EDIT: Can anyone confirm if the human gothic face is fixed? If I select it, will I actually get it this time?

It works in some areas and not at all in others. It’s really unstable coding that’s been in effect for a while. I’m surprised it hasn’t been fixed yet.

130130-002102 is my reference number. My issue is related to the Total Make-over Kit not saving face on my female, human necro though.
I would love ticket numbers related to the Sylvari situation, so that we can look into the matter further. I believe we are handling this differently than you were told and we do want to handle these properly!

I did read it. If you aren’t giving refunds for this issue, then why are others reporting they have been refunds? What’s with all the conflicting information between you guys and the staff on the forums?

Quite a few people are recieving their refunds already, under 4 hours of filing their tickets. Can I please have a status update on why mine is taking so long?
I got the mail after returning to the Black Citadel. Not sure if it matters, but I had the Volunteer title enabled. Also make sure your mail isn’t full.
Maybe in PVE, but in any sort of PVP format, no.
Is your mailbox full?
The acolyte stuff that originates from the armor sellers cannot be salvaged anymore. I’m thinking people are selling you stuff from the armor sellers. Avoid the stuff that ends in a 5 or 0 for a level requirement. Edit: Sad to say, but you got taken for a ride.

I received my total makeover kit from a black lion chest which I unlocked from getting a key from the daily achievements. I purchased one before that (which worked fine). I’ve used my second one last night and the preview was perfect but now like many others, my glow is totally gone. Am I able to get a gem refund even though I didn’t actually pay any gems for the second one I used?
They say to fill out a ticket with support, but I haven’t had my issue resolved by doing it.
Man I wish I had found this thread before I used the make-over kit -_-.
So, now that my sylvari cant glow…………
What do I do ……….

I hope that’s just an illusion caused by incorrect shadows. It really does look ‘off’.
I submitted a ticket first, then came here. Glad to see I’m not the only one with a problem. Sad to see they aren’t refunding. How about a replacement Kit at least? Or can I be restored to my old look?
Sylvari female – no glow after using the Kit.
ALSO … her eyes no longer face the same direction. The character’s left eye appears to be lower and perhaps looking inward a little. (Cross-eyed from some perspectives). Very nasty. Notice in the picture, the black part of the character’s right eye is at the top, while the black part of her left eye is at the bottom. Isn’t THAT worth a refund? She looks like Marty Feldman in the closeups from her storyline cut-scenes.
What kit are you using to salvage?

I’m with Shadowborn on this one. I work with a company that fixes terminals. ‘POS’ doesn’t mean the same thing people on the internet use it for. (It means “Point of Sale”.)
It does have the damage immunity tag. so yeah of course, you can’t attack her. The tag should disappear after she talks. How long has she been sitting there?
I filled the ticket out immediately after Matthew Porter told me too. Not sure why it’s taking this long.
When did you submit your ticket? There is a section in the forums for tickets that are more than 3 days old. You can post your ticket number there to get faster assistance. I’m surprised you haven’t been refunded yet, considering it only took about 4 hours to get my refund.
Still have yet to recieve my refund for the faulty make-over kit.
While I liked the ease of the original, I don’t see a problem with the current dailies. They aren’t hard at all. It’s only daunting if you haven’t done them before. Grow. It’s good for you.
They could easily produce other temporary servers where the trial-coders are limited too until they buy the game. I really don’t see a problem.
Fear not, nobody is getting laurels for completing this month. They don’t start until Feb.
I got Abyss day one, shortly after launch. I use it on my necro all the time. The other shades I play with, however.
Edit: Got Pitch a couple weeks ago, tossing in cheap dyes into the Mystic Forge. Gave that one to my thief.

Change the rendering back? Upgrade your PC’s video card to something compatiable?
It’s the same with all the displayable back armors. My staff sticks out in a weird fashion with my guild backpack.
GW1 had tiers too, but they maxed out fairly early.
I managed to get my best friend and her boyfriend to buy the game at the last free trial. I’m probably not going to find others to give other codes out, but another opportunity wouldn’t hurt Arenanet.
That’s kind of silly. But whatever makes them happy.
I have yet to recieve mine either. I wonder how many people filed reports before me. While my post is first on the forums, I’m sure others used the support system first. It seems they are refunding the gems used to purchase the kit and are sending emails to notify the changes. Edit: I’ll let this topic die for the night. We probably won’t see anything until tomorrow.
I have not received any sort of refund and my changes have not appeared, nor have a received a replacement kit so I can make the changes. I’m a little confused now. Has the bug been fixed? Help?

If the humans are still currently bugged, would it be a good idea to specify that in the update notes? Don’t want users getting confused afterall.

Yeah, I’m with FK on this one. It would ruin the market value. If you use a trans-stone, you can transfer the upgrade component to the new weapon though, (assuming it’s the same type of weapon).
Do you have the proper level requirements?
All Champions have low odds of dropping even cruddy loot. Try having a magic find bonus active when fighting them. There are boosters and food items that can give you a boost without gimping yourself.

Zeivu, don’t lose hope! Our general policy is “No item refunds” (for various reasons), but because the makeover kits are (potentially) real money items, we’re looking at a better solution for this specific problem.
How did you know you were refunded? Did you get a notification or did you see a change in your gem count?

The make-over kits are glitched and don’t save properly right now. Tina said there was nothing they could do right now, despite Matthew Porter saying to file a ticket. It sucks.

If you need town clothing to talk and interact with others on the internet, there might be something seriously wrong with you.
I suppose that people fighting in town clothes would be to ‘realistic’ for some countries and get the game banned.
I liked the idea of having different town clothes to outfit our toons with until I learned of this restriction. I kinda wonder why bother with having ‘town clothes’ at all if there is no use for it.
They are just for aesthetic purposes. It help with socializing with other players and possibly do some role-playing. Just like saying what is the point of having custom weapon skins if there is no use for it.
The oozes are acidic in nature and it takes significantly more time to dissolve them, thus porous bones. If anything, this is not a bug.
I got a response, but they said they couldn’t do anything about it. :/
Edit: Couldn’t you guys at least remove them from the shop until you fix them?
