Necro isn’t about pursuing enemies, it is about making the enemy chasable by a slow turtle.

Arctisavange, I have a distinct memory of people getting in trouble for autoclicking booze in the first game for botting. I would take that advice with a word of caution until an official staff member says it’s ok.

I have a feeling that if they implemented something like that, could have disastrous effects if you run out of inventory space.

Love this event. Easily my fave since game release. However, almost ever time I do it, there are probably 15 or 20 people just standing either at a gate or in a hidden corner. It’s pretty apparent they run in, then shrink the game to do something else, while receiving bags for doing absolutely nothing. If anything, they are keeping out players who want to actively participate.

I have been playing the map for three days since I got my laptop back. It did count previously when rooting through the same piles. Why now for the change?

Needs to be unique piles, not just collecting heirlooms from the same handful. If you’ve already been to that rubble pile before, it wont count towards the achievement beyond the first time.

I think he’s referring to the Living World content. Either that or his computer is seriously jacked up and is of no fault of the MMO’s.

I’ve been activating the rubble piles inside of Lion’s Arch and have been granted the Lost Heirlooms, but it’s not being tallied under the “Memories in your Hands”. It’s stuck at 25/30.

I played gw1 long before I knew of GW2. The developers were pretty open that it wasn’t going to be the same as the first. If you came here without doing your research, that’s your problem. But not having to pay a sub for all the content is a good deal in itself, IMO.

She’s looking for a dragon, but what she will do with it, once found, remains unclear.

I don’t have level 500 either to make the final item, but I’m just holding onto the ingredients until I can raise it high enough to the ascended stage. I doubt that Arenanet will remove the recipe from the toilet any time soon. In truth, I think it’s quite ugly and will trans stone it later for the stats.

Don’t suppose they had that red mist imported from the Sierra Madre, have they? Those poor guys in Fallout: NV couldn’t figure it out either.

More armors from the previous game in general would be loved. The gods in this game have been proven to be a lie. A Norn, Charr, an Asura, and Sylvari can use magics that are supposedly from human gods, so whatever. Point is moot.

TESO will be P2P, at least for the PC. I don’t see a lot of people jumping ship unless it’s really, really epic.

A good story is knowing when to end it properly before thinking about continuing…..

if you want to continue the story from there, end it and make people go after something ELSE that is behind that story…. not make people wait for a conclusion to the first story in another story………

I don’t know about the reward system, but when an item is removed from the game, it gets replaced with a guy in a hard hat and can only be deleted from your inventory.

What will become of the armor that we accumulated and crafted?

What is the new reward system, and when is it going to start?, and what is this early start business?

We have to have these questions answered to make decisions about what we do with our stuff. The notes left too many questions and did not answer anything important.

The point of a Sylvari doing this is to say that their race isn’t completely full of dandelions and they can be just as capable as any other.

IMO, they could have chosen any other race and it would still kitten me and others off.

They just don’t care to learn and use their pre-existing toons to fit the Champion’s mechanics.

Will it be possible to get attacked while doing that part of the story or on the commute? Simple question. The last thing PvE players need is griefing.

I stated this during the Ready Up livestream earlier today, but I’ll repeat it again here.

While we are releasing new story related content with the Edge of the Mists update, very little of that content actually occurs inside of the EotM map. Hopefully that alleviates some of your concerns!

I give 110% on those events. Groups fail because people don’t know the boss and refuse to understand it. We could spend 30 minutes explaining and they don’t use that information. They only spam 1 on auto-attack and think they can tank everything sent their way. This is assuming they don’t just AFK and try to leech rewards, which is another problem. And then there are users who aren’t equipped to handle the task, both level-wise and equipment wise, jumping in the portals kitten ing every player on the map. Projects teeth forward Ah, I’m level 25, I can handle this! Guffaw

Most of those ores are garbage. You see the prices on the TP? Would take a great deal of time to get the funds needed for all that.

And it’s not like the required tactics are particularly tough. Boss 3, I can understand to a degree, but boss 1+2 is ridiculous.

We will stop blaming other players when other players stop being to blame.

Today, we had a group manage to somehow wipe on the very first champion; the south path had a platform with 5 people on it all somehow die to this boss. Not just fail the mechanics, but fail them so hard they actually wiped.

Time and time again, myself and many, many others have been in a situation where 4 platforms of any boss have perfectly completed the fights with a full minute left and then find themselves staring across at a platform with two rangers and two thieves playing Kite the Minelaying Boss In Circles. Or a platform with all melee in zerker gear that charged into the third boss and kept chasing it in circles directly into the highly visible and easily avoidable hover bombs. Or a whole group that utterly ignored the ground AOE’s on boss 4.

And so on, and so on.

If they are not to blame for their own complete lack of basic competence causing the rest of us to fail an event and thus get dramatically lower loot, then who is?

I don’t agree with orbs or quartz, but it wouldn’t be so horrid to have something added. (They never had equal value to sprockets)

They are now. Can make gems and new armor types with them, assuming you have the recipes obtained from the latest LW. You need like a stack or two to even use them though. All things given, I’m not overly kitten. We need a lot of them to fuel this armor creation. Along with the Gift of Sprockets, it will add some supply to the game after this LW passes like a kidney stone and keeps them somewhat cheaper.
Don’t want it ending up like quartz now.

While the Asura have been known to pilot them since the game’s release, it’s interesting that these details have been added. Did they intend for people to see these at one point? There isn’t a 1st person view in this game.

Then explain Shiny, Glint’s only known child. Those eggs were laid after she was freed from corruption. (It had to be. Corrupted entities are sterile, save the first dragon in gw1)

Nature is season based. As such the seeds found could be preparation for the next awakening (season). But by planting one ahead of time it was allowed to sprout before the dragon could assert it control.

If an Elder Dragon spawns seeds, they are already corrupted. Jormag did not need to awake, to allow his champion to corrupt the mind of Svanir for example. And Primordus was quite capable of awakening The Great Destroyer first, and having him a build an army of dedicated servants. The Elder Dragons do not need to be awake yet to assert control over creatures.

The Nightmare Court will do anything in an attempt to ‘liberate’ The Pale Tree from The Dream. If they think Scarlet will provide any means to that end, they will follow her. There could very well be ways that Scarlet could free the Dragon which no else can.

Based on Scarlet’s Journal she’s trying to walk her own path and sever any connection someone may have to control/influence her. Given this, why would the Nightmare court be servent’s of a forest dragon and following scarlet?

Don’t forget low-level trolls hogging arrow carts or jumping into the teleporter and blowing the event for everyone else.

No way. Now a large scale instance, I would be very much in favor of. Think an OF size, 150-200 man instance to take down an elder dragon.

That would be great. You can take who you want. You don’t have to worry about losing your spot on a DC. Guilds and friends can coordinate skills and strategize. This way, they can make these events really, really challenging and test player skill without handicapping groups with AFKs and terrible players.

You only need it once per toon. Then there is not reason to collect more.

I had it happen a couple of times on my necro. If it were lag, I wouldn’t be able to operate other functions of the game.

The first preview of this showed Lion’s Arch’s gates busted. Not really news, but it backs up what we saw.

Yeah, the devs already stated in another thread that you must defeat it, not just dodge to get the achievements, despite what the achievement description says. Lame really.

So every user must wait, what is it, another two hours to l2p? And the marionette isn’t going to be around forever, so not everyone has time to l2p the mechanics.

That person wont know 99% of whats going on and if he/she wants to find out or “play” the content that occured months ago the player wont be able to do it and will eventualy lose interest in the game period.

I personaly know a couple of people that just stoped playing the game because of this.

I just viewed that cutscene. I fail to understand why that needed a fight with the marionette to be unlocked. It should have completely been available before anything else.

Well, she does spawn at the same time despite main or overflow, so I guess that is a start…

Have you seen the price on food and ‘wrench’ consumables? Most of them are dirt cheap, especially compared to the ingredients to make it. The primer does not help the market any.

Yeah I dunno how they justify the costs of these things. If the metabolic primer was $0.25 I would probably buy them by the bushel and always have one active. I can’t possibly imagine they make more money selling these for $1.31 a pop then they would from the thousands and thousands of more people who would use them if they were more reasonably priced.

Try to load another toon first on a different map, then log out and retry the toon in question. Usually works for me.

1. It is rumored that the seed Ventari received from the human could have been from the supposedly dead nature dragon. If you compare Zhaitan and his minions to the Pale Tree, this rumor makes sense. Especially, when you know the Sylvari cannot be corrupted by any known dragon. Though we know little about the dragons, it does not appear that one corruption can override another. And then there is the knowledge that most dragons cannot make minions from nothing, save the one from the first game. They must corrupt an entity. A dragon’s minion is also sterile. The only way they can reproduce in such a way is if a dragon corrupts a pregnant entity. We also learn that there are other trees out there, though without the Avatar-esque, knowledge. I’d be willingly to bet that this Pale Tree is likely the will of that dragon.
2. Also, to compare a Slyvari to a human when it comes to eating is silly. There are plants out there that don’t just get nutrients from just standing in the sun. Some actually seduce bugs with smells and eat them with digestive enzymes. They can eat like the rest of us.

I have three Sylvari. One for Winter, one for Summer and the last, Spring. I chose colors that I associate with the seasons AND professions. The summer and Winter are pretty passé, but the Spring Sylvari, I take pride in.

I doubt they’ll take it from me, though personally, I don’t really care about miniatures. There are users out there who spent that much money and haven’t received theirs yet or only were granted the backpack. I care about this game and don’t want it to fail due to some glitch. Giving users their proper due prevents that.

The message is a generic message, (copy and pasted) since they didn’t tailor it to the awards event.

Not sure why you would have received it for purchasing only 800 gems. It’s probably a bug in the system. But I doubt that they will take it away from you (like when people got two birthday presents when they came out instead of one), so enjoy!

It’s for this reason why I only use keys obtained in game, whether they are rare drops or quest rewards.
