This is old news the devs are aware of this problem. Unfortunetely, they do not have an ETA on it. The armor colors save whenever you exit the character menu. If you notice this happening with the armor dyes, try clicking the revert changes button and exiting with the X. Sometimes the glitch can be reverted if caught in time. I don’t know what happens if you have exited and saved with the glitch present or if it can be fixed.
It’s a standard bug that’s been around since launch. If you have enough coins to buy the item, log out of the client and relog in. It’s almost always fixes the problem in the mean time. Yeah, the TP is in need of serious rehauls, but we can only make suggestions and wait.
In beta, I recieved one from the gem dye packs. Immediately after beta, I recieved two. First unid’ed dye on my human necro too and another some time later. I sold that one when they were going for 5g. I have yet to see another.
There is quite a few things seriously wrong with this personal quest. When I first started this quest, I noticed that the climatic sequence was interrupted by an additional loading screen and I spawned automatically on the third ship. I waited a bit and then I was teleported to the correct starting area on the boat. Next thing I knew a bunch of undead spawned in the boat with me. It took a while, but I ended up clearing them. When I fought to the third ship nothing happens and the quest cannot be completed.
its not just hell tho. my toon is named Torry Hellheal and i seen players with MUCH worse in their names. i personally think someone is just out to get me. cuz my other toon got same thing last week and it was “Jigga Say So” which i know 110% doesnt break TOS
My guess is its because the first 3 letters of your name is an old racial slur. (Try googling it) Not really used anymore, but there it is.

“Hell” can also be an induced state of mind, caused by yourself or other people. It can be something else. I wonder if someone would be banned for calling a toon a “Blue Footed Booby”.
There is no way for them to send you malware/viruses through the game’s messaging system. You had to either download it from somewhere else or your password sucks (and was an easy guess).
Yep. In gw1, there was a mini quest where you have to help out a poor Asuran male who has tiny ears. You give him a pair of leaves to make him look bigger so he can attract the ladies. lulz
The devs already said no to horses. Only thing we’re getting right now is a cosmetic broom that only works with town clothing and offers no movement or flight boons.
Did you use a fine transmutation stone, now called transmutation crystal? (the white-blue one)
For lvl 80 items you need to use the special one.. not the common transmutation stone (the yellow one)..
If a panel which you once could dye is gone, then it’s a probably a different glitch. Only way to tell if it’s related to being trans’ed is if someone buys a whole new set that isn’t altered.

then did this update mess up the colors? i have transmuted whispers armor for months and this is the first time something like this happened to it.
This isn’t a transmuted gear bug, this is something that changed in the patch. One of the dye slots that we used to have on these items has been removed and the part of the armor that you can no longer dye is a trampy ‘hooker red’ color.

I’m having problems with my mesmer Sanglei. I’m on the Tarnished Coast server in Dredgehaunt cliffs. It acted up when attempting the Bad Ice personal quest. Standard 7:11 error.
There will always be niches in online games that consist of Elitist Codpieces. What a sad life they must live, where they must stuff padding to feel important.
So what you are doing is:
You have both items in your bags.
You drag the barbaric to the left and gladiator to the right. (though side does not matter)
You click the image of the barbaric and it slides over to the center and the gladiator image disappears.
You click the stats of the gladiator and it slides over to the center and the barbaric stats disappear.
You click the rune of the gladiator and it slides over to the center.
Item Transmutation button then lights up.
You then click on the Item Transmutation button.
Nothing happens?
Does the window disappear?
Do you hear a noise when you click?

Also, there is no need to waste coin on repairing the item if you’re going to transmute it. Transmuting it causes the end product to not be damaged. Can just save yourself some coin if you’re going to transmute the broken item.
There is a bug with transmuted gear that effectively removes the soul-bound property, allowing it to be given to your other toons. People were/are using them to get armors from factions they don’t belong to. They can use this with cultural armors too but there isn’t anything programmed in, so it doesn’t load on other toons of different races.
Edit: It used to result in toons being completely naked, but that was fixed.
The racial gear is bought soulbound, and transmuted items are soulbound. Therefore, it is not possible. Also, I’m afraid the racial gear has no models for other races than the one they are made for, so even if you’d manage to equip a piece of another race’s armor, it’d only result in a glitch. And creating these models takes time, especially if the design is complex as most racial armors are (perhaps just because they don’t have to fit other races, less attention must be spent for having the armor fit different body shapes, leaving artistic freedom). It’d be no small effort to recreate the racial armors (three armor classes, on three tiers, four races without those particular three sets, two genders for each, save for Charr. That’s 63-72 sets of armor that would need to be fitted and tested, on all the body types available for all the races) for the rest of the races.
EDIT: Fixed my calculation to include the different tiers of racial armor.
So, basically you want to craft endgame material because you don’t want to earn it like everyone else? I grow tired of this entitlement crap. If they do add it to crafting, I expect a hefty gold fee (Not bronze, not silver, not karma, not glory, not tokens) for demeaning it’s purpose.
In GW1, all the females looked better than males, but that is common preference. Calling discrimination over your personal preference/view is stupid. I make my girls the way I think beauty is.
The staff is very much aware about trans’ed items not being able to be dyed. They’ll let you know when they have a fix. Expect this thread to be merged with it.
I think the OP has good intentions, however bots do not. Even a 3 day free trial, bot companies would just remake trial accounts constnatly to get their gold, without having to hack an account or buy the game (they would still hack accounts but still).
Women can carry the color-blind genes, but they are not affected by it, for whatever reason. I wonder if they really could change the circle color and would it be any good for all areas? Any color that contains red or green shades appear gray or black, such as Purple and Pink. (I had a color-blind teacher in high school and we loved screwing with him.)
A solution to warning circles for colorblind players would really help a lot of people- about 1/6 of males are colorblind (and a much smaller number of women).
I certainly have a lot of trouble seeing the red circles- in some situations they are entirely invisible to me. One player I met had been in the game a month without even realising there were warning circles!
Necros are far from the bottom. IMO, Engineers are the bottom. While I don’t agree with the weapon sets released for each class, WoW fanboys should either except gw2 for what it is or go back and pay real money to nuture your pandas.
Wait, so people are WoW fanboys for asking for more weapon sets for each class? There is no reason why alternate ways of looking at a character (such as “Deathknights” for Necromancers) should be viewed as fanboyism to another game.
If anything, it’s the loyal Arenanet fanbase – the Guild Wars 1 fanboys that want more weapons.

Don’t expect Halberds or their brother the Scythe to be coming back. They hated so much in the first game and expressed their discontent with programming it, saying it won’t come back.
