There are 2 very easy methods of doing this.
Both require 1 Guardian.

Method 1: 30secs
Take atleast 2 zerker wars, 1 guardian, 1 mes, (1 optional slot additional guardian is helpful) Run in as a group, have the mes lay down a veil, run to the center of the boss, stack inside. To start off, the guaridan should use: Sanctuary. While rest of the group whales on the boss. Guardian will then follow up with Wall of reflection, once its down the mes should use feedback. At this point the boss should be almost dead or below 25%, continue to zerk it down. We have beaten it as fast as under 15 secs.

Method 2: Around 4-5 mins
Once again take atleast 1 guardian with wall of ref + speed boost. Everyone else should also bring some sort of reflect + condition removal and speedboost.
Now all you need to do is run around in circle while only targeting the boss. If anyone goes down, they should rally off a non-vet spider. Bringing AOE is key. Calling target on boss also helps.
Tip: Not required but if the team dodge rolls when the boss shakes his head, no additional spiders will spawn.
As long as you keep running circles around the boss, no one should die.

The 2nd method is easier for pugs, first one requires a premade team as dps is key.
I run this path daily since it is extremely fast, I doubt there is a nerf needed here, pm me in-game if you need help for dungeon master and my guild can take you on a run. We are a NA based guild.

I am having the same problem with World 2, stuck at 32/33. My husband and I did this the same time but he finished the achievement and I did not.

I have included the screenshot of the cloud that does not spawn a rainbow if this has anything to do with the bug.

That cloud does not count towards the baby steps.
I completed the achievement yesterday, the cloud was bugged for me as well but i still got 33/33. That means u missed one elsewhere, good luck hope that helps!

I was lucky enough to get my hands on a Mr. Sparkles thanks to a long time friend.
Now my collection is up to date but I still dont agree with giving away exclusive in-game items via conventions.

I hope our suggestions are taken into consideration in future conventions, what I would consider acceptable is maybe a plush doll, gw2 t-shirt etc anything that is not an actual item in game.
Or they can still give it away but make that item then available in gem store for ones that could not make it to a convention.

As long as these Super duper God weapon allows me to summon a god to fight alongside then maybe ill consider saving up 1 million champ boxes.

When wielding such a weapon needs to give us a summon elite – Summons a god that can 1 shot kill any enemy including a legendary boss. (Add a 24 hour cool down)
And In order to use the skill, it should consume a stack of Ectoplams.
And also it must be accompanied with an epic cut scene.

+ you get a mount that is the size of an elder dragon which allows u to fly around =P
ok lol i can go on but it aint happening so….yea.

Disclaimer: This topic isn’t about the grind related to Ascended items. If you want to discuss that, there’s plenty of other topics available.

So, you’ve braved the most dangerous places of Tyria. You’ve beaten epic foes, explored exotic locations, found ancient artifacts and saved the world a couple of times. Finally, you’ve obtained the most powerful equipment there is: a full set of Ascended items. Oh, what an achievement! So, what now?

You can do all of that again.

Except it’s easier now.

…what?

We got a new tier of gear. Great. Maybe. However, there’s no content for that gear outside of WvW. It mattering in WvW is probably a bad thing, so let’s ignore that. So, why should I get Ascended gear? So I could run CoF P1 10% faster? No, thanks. What’s ANet’s master plan here? Making the whole game easier?

Alright, so we’re getting revamped world bosses. However, Tequila Sunrise can’t require Ascended gear, because it’s a world boss. If it’s too hard for yellow/orange characters, the majority of players will basically be griefing the minority with Ascended gear. Besides, isn’t getting Ascended the point of that boss? Requiring Ascenced to get Ascended would be extremely stupid.

So, dungeons? Beatable with Rares. FotM? Barely anyone plays at a high enough level for that to matter and those who do will just get a few levels of the same stuff for free difficulty wise. Uh, Queensdale? Nope.

So, what’s the point?

If you want the content to be challenging, wear greens and do dungeons or take off an armor piece or 2. That should make it “fun” for you again.

They are supposed to be a “Group event” all champs are designed to be killed by large groups of people.

Any frostforge champion easily killed by by one warrior.

Then the difficulty of the champ is easy, the rewards shouldnt be the problem.
Ask for making the encounter more diffucult.
Nerfing rewards is not the answer.

They were supposed to be a fun reward for grouping together and taking down a champion, a nice group activity that brought people together.

Instead it created mindless zerg trains and hostile exploitative behavior where farmers turn against normal players.

Limit Champion Boxes to 20 per day and this will stop. Normal players will still get a sense of reward, tons of ascended mats will still be obtainable and people will still be encouraged to come together and kill champions- but the zerg trains will die a painful and justifiable death.

It’s time to make mindless zerging time gated, just like every other money making activity in the game.

This is a terrible idea, if you dont enjoy farming the boxes then do something else.
We dont need any additional nerfs.

Also all the people calling killing champs a zerg fest, well guess wat?
They are supposed to be a “Group event” all champs are designed to be killed by large groups of people.
What you should be complaining about is the scaling of these champs instead.
Or you might want to ask for the champs to use new fight mechanics rather than nerfing the rewards.

This is one of the only reasons I hate this game. But congrats OP.

Did you take an extended break from the game? I have noticed that the RNG god rewards players who take a long break and come back.

To the people claiming tinfoil, his comment is actually pretty much fact, it just can’t be proven because no one has access to anets scripts and mechanics to get the numbers. It is designed to get people who stop playing, back into the game after they play for 5 minutes to see if they want to play again. Think of it as an extended version of Diminishing Returns that already plagues this game.

People in my guild have logged in after 3 months, and instantly gotten dusk, 20g jewellery, entropy on day 2 of champ loot, after 1 bag, all after 5 minutes of logging in. Other people have many other examples, and it is definitely not tin foil hat worthy.

Dangle the carrot in front of the donkey already playing, he’ll get the carrot eventually.
THROW the carrot at the speed of a professional pitcher to the prodigal donkey, and hope he stays with his new found epic item.

Also I posted the above since 2 of my very close friends both took a 1 month+ break. came back and threw 4 exotics in the forge, guess wat? both got a precursor on their first try.
While I cannot prove this always works, taking a long break and returning seems to improve the odds significantly.
Getting 7 precursors is just insane, as more than 95% of the game population playing since beta havent even seen a single one drop.

Regarding the farming mat comment about ascended mats, i recommend just run cof p1/p2 (2.5g~) and AC p1/p3 (3.5g~) = 6g~ can be done in a 1 to 1.5 hrs.
That shld be more than enough money to do the daily part for the ascneded, that is my recommendation instead of running around for mats.

Your poll is so basic and it is not going to achieve anything.

You shld instead change it to something more specific like:

Which do you prefer:
1. Player gets choice of wep but predetermined stats?
2. Player gets choice of stats but predetermined weapon?
3. Player gets to choose both Weapon & Stat.
4. Ascended weps were not needed, please remove them from the game.

The above would address the real issue with them.
This might be why your Poll did not get much votes.

Several of my guildies got one yesterday, 2 of them got it from a lvl 20 daily.
Another got it from a lvl 38 daily chest at Maw.

There are most likely other ways of getting them also.

It can take up to 2 hrs to finish all dailies, some times longer if you get some very annouyning WvWvW ones, specially one which requires u to repair a building but no one is attacking your server. I did this exactly for almost 2 months straight (currently at 12k AP) i decided I cannot keep this up much longer!

So I changed the way to play the game, i decided its not worth the effort to get those additional 10 AP everyday, the 5 is more than sufficient.
Now I simply play the game i want, when I am about to log, I glance back at my daily progress, usually I notice I am already at 3/5 or 4/5 at which point I pick the easiest from the remaining choices.

But I agree with OP if u try to do all 14/15 every day + the pvp u will find yourself no longer enjoying the game.
Now is it fair to say that they should limit the points? No, since there are other extremely hardcore players out these that enjoy doing this and they should be allowed to continue to do them all if they like it.

Daily Karma Reward Change

Not only is the daily nerfed, they have also taken karma out of end dungeon rewards…I havent recently done a heart but would be interesting to see if even they were nerfed or decreased by some %.
While im sitting pretty on over 2mil karma, it is not going to last very long as soon as i choose to pursue another legendary, not to mention the cost of the ascended recipies are obnoxious.

No new real dungeons until an expansion imo. No expansion until Ncsoft decides casuals aren’t profitable enough to pander to with temporary gimmicks and cash shop crap. Expansion not planned this year. If all of a sudden they started developing one, it would be in development next year, with a release date of at the very soonest, another year later. Yes ladies and gents, we’re looking at a long time. Enjoy your lion cub minis and broomsticks!

Robert Hrouda got the cut. He’s gone. Yes, he wasn’t great. But he was the last bastion. The last person who gave a flying f-kitten-ck about permanent dungeons with token rewards. And they got rid of him. I’ll let people decide for themselves what that means for the future of real dungeons in this game.

Excellent project!
My thoughts: I had actually wanted to do this exact thing a few days back since I wanted to come up with the best rotation to make the most amount of gold per day, guess you beat me to it.

Few recommendations:
1. Speed Clear: Post 2 guides for each path, one should be speed clear which will be tailored for the hardcore players. The 2nd guide can be super comprehensive, that’s how your current ones are(This would be for players who don’t like to skip trash mobs). The other way you can implement this is to make everything optional appear in a different font color, although to keep it simple and clear it might be better to have maybe the speed clear appear below the comprehensive guide.
Edit: This is no longer needed, I saw that you can go into Settings and enable something

2. Pictures: amount to a 1000 words, specifically where should a party stand when fighting a boss, this can make a fight either a face roll or extremely difficult depending on the encounter. You still did a great job being descriptive in most of your paths.

3. Composition: This used to be a big part of guides back in GW1 days, here is an example: Carry 3 DPS, 1 guardian(reflect party support), 1 thief (skip mobs unlock waypoints) – Could be the optimal configuration for lets day P2 of Arah or something etc. Each path has encounters that caters to certain mechanics and having a class that is more effective that can make the run super easy.

4. Estimated Time: This can be a good measure for a team to find out whether they need to make improvements for their future endeavors or they have truly mastered it all. I am personally all about speed clear and always looking for a way to improve.

Thanks for the time and effort for creating this, I can see this tool being used extensively by the community – Possibly even Anet can use this to revamp the dungeons that reward only 1g and scale it to an appropriate amount based on difficulty and time.

Also I will be willing to send you screenshots etc. if you need any help more improvements.

I actually calculated the conversion for mini Kanaxai. Taking a price of 1750 armbraces, at 30e per armbrace, and 30 dollars for a stack of ecto’s (around the prices late-2010, early 2011). You get 6300 dollars for mini Kanaxai. Translated to the current dollar-to-gold ratio’s (just googled the first one I could find) that’s around 25,000 gold.

And to add to your point Mr. Sparkles recently sold on ebay for $700 USD…

Back to the topic, I agree FOTM should award gold but only once per day for each daily, example:
Completing maw on
lvl 2-8 gives 50s (I see this equivalent to a story mode in terms of time & difficulty since there is no agony)
10-18 1g
20-28 1.5g
30-38 2g
40-48 3g

And so forth would be the way to do it, I limited the reward compare to the above post since otherwise players wud abuse this.
Also you cannot reward per fractal as doing swamp takes like 5 mins or less…which would definately be exploited.

Sigh, I guess whoever sold that made a ton of money.
Now the person who uses the code will be left alone? or will they be banned for violating the EULA? LOL?

Since their was only 1 auction that I have noticed means either only 1 person wanted to cash in the mini or very few people even got a code during the Gamescon event.

I hope this mini is simply rewarded as a token of appreciation and the remaining players will get a chance to buy it off the gem store. So we can laugh at whoever spent $700 to acquire it….

I am not sure what everyone is crying about?
I have 5 legendaries, each of which is transmuted and they all still retained their legendary status.
So there is no doubt in my mind that they will get their Ascended stats soon as the update goes live.

Really? I would just LOVE for you to post one of your legendaries with a stat set other than PVT, and it still say “Legendary” instead of “Transmuted.”

All we know is that this is the same case as to why you cannot use a transmuted pre-cursor to craft a legendary. The skin doesnt matter, it’s the item code it becomes.

For example, if you transmute a Twilight with a Berserker Pearl Greatsword, and you use the stats from the Berserker Pearl Greatsword, but keep the Twilight, guess what, you only have a Berserker Pearl Greatsword with a Twilight skin. Want proof? Transmute any Pearl item with something else, but use the Pearl Item’s stats. When you type in the item search of your inventory, type in “Pearl”, and instead the item you transmuted with the skin over the pearl item, will show up instead of the ACTUAL NAME.

Regardless of what the name comes up, when I ping my item, guess what, it shows Twilight and does not say Pearl GS.
Also more than 90% of the players who use a legendary now have trasnmuted it already, you really think Anet will shaft the entire Legendary playerbase?

What you are stating is just a bug nothing more, I will bet you a 100g that the legendaries will get ascended stats soon as the next patch goes live, so either put up or shut up.

Doubtful. People have already made 1000s of gold by selling them. They should have been account-bound from the beginning instead of sellable.

I think the OP means the weapon should be “Account Bound once equipped” and not Soulbound when equipped.

This would still allow players to sell a legendary if they choose to do so.

Dungeon weapons i suspect will be left alone. Introducing Ascended weapons are not about making every exotic into ascended, its about creating yet another step between exotic and Legendary gear. And if you want the exotic’s skin on your new ascended, you can (and will probably have to) buy transmutation crystals. Its a master plan, see?

I actually hope that the dungeon weapons will have a new tab which requires 5 times the cost of an exotic, this way we can use dungeon tokens to get ascended weapons this way.

Excellent ideas but I will prefer a Legendary set to be able to change stats on the fly.
The easier fix to the ascended items is to take away any time gating.
The time gating for the trinkets has been there and leaving it there is fine with me but there should be no time gating for Ascended weps and armor.
As long as they can implement the above, this will be the best option.

Once they launch the Legendary gear, your char will truely be able to change builds/stats on the fly and that will be epic.

I think my main concern with this right now is that “legendaries” were supposed to always be a fancy skin that had the same power of the current top tier weapon. Not stronger or weaker, but equal to the top tier.

Now it seems they are going back on that philosophy.

Either “legendaries” are going to be weaker or they are going to be stronger. Look at it this way. If they remove the sigil slot and replace it with an infusion slot, they are going to be weaker. But if they keep the sigil slot and add an infusion slot, they become stronger than the current top tier. Meaning they are going against their whole cosmetic philosophy on what “legendaries” are supposed to be either way.

And then there is this whole “other functions and stuff”. What other functions? Is it something that will give an advantage power wise? Give you a buff or a fancy debuff to your target? Or is it just some flashy special effect? Again, one goes against the whole cosmetic thing while the other is for it. But to call an effect a function is wrong. So what could this function be, that won’t give someone an advantage over anyone else?

I don’t know. Maybe it’s just me, but Anet seems to be going backwards on a lot of their philosophies about this game. This whole “legendary” deal is just one of them.

Legendaries shld be stronger if they are higher tier than Ascended.
Yes they did say previously that they will have same stats but I think their base dmg will be same as Ascended.
The only difference you may notice is “possibly” the infusion slot which will give +5 power…lol +5 power is not going to turn the tide of the battle.
Anyways, this is all speculation at this point, personally I will find it just if they give a bit of base dmg increase to legendaries to reward the players who took the time and effort to craft one.

Possibility GW2 Never Gets Full Expansion

While I quite enjoy the 2 week releases as it is most definitely keeping the game “fresh” I would still want an expansion down the line.

I honestly don’t mind buying a few skins/minis every few weeks with the new releases, I get it, the game needs constant funding to pay for all the designers and the artists but at the same time the small releases will never equate to the same feeling as a new expansion.

Currently the LS is a great way to keep the world alive and keep the players interested but you cannot continue this model in the long run.
There seems to be a lack of testing which is resulting in a wide variety of broken mechanics, unintended money making farms which is starting to question the integrity of the game.

Now I know LS is a new idea that no other MMO has ever adapted and GW2 is doing a great job with content definitely improving with each release, so I say continue the 2 week release but dedicate a team of individuals to start working on Cantha.

Provide the players a date, “9-12 months from now we will release an expansion”
This will allow the company to generate revenue via the LS gem store releases and then they can boost their sales once again with the full fledge expansion.

Also Please provide permanent content while we wait for expansion example:
Underworld, Fizzure of Woe -
These were areas that have been lost, previously a spirit of a god would grant us access, maybe now an Asuran portal?
I’m an sure the Order of Whispers might have some knowledge how to access these areas.
These elite areas is what is needed to start building a true end game.

Sigh….I am not sure if this confirm that this will be the only way to acquire this mini but this is really sad…once again releasing minis in this way is just a terrible idea.

They did this in GW1 and they keep repeating this…I can only hope that these minis are also released in US and also on the Gem store.

While I understand having a set pattern would make it easier to complete the achievement, it will also result it players camping a map and creating an overflow well before the event starts.
This is what Anet was trying to avoid and this is exactly why the map is not announced until the very second the attack starts.
Now what can be done instead is possibly post a schedule of the maps for the last 2 days, this way if players are missing certain zones, they can atleast jump in and complete these.

The system is finally correcting itself and yes I also spent money to obtain them orginally but you know what, it is actually more unfair for new players who join today to not have any way to acquire these skins.
This may seem like a bad move but honestly no one can keep up with the 2 week weapon/armor release they are moving with. allowing these items to be on TP gives us players a way to still obtain these items in future so both the current and the future players have a chance to obtain them now.

Also all the people comparing this to real life items need to understand that this is a video game and not a limited edition sports car which is only released for 12 people.

Zodiac weapon skins!!

While i was quite dissapointed with the skins yesteday, I ended up previewing them once again and noticed they have a very cool watery effect on it, the skins overall are nice as they are more detailed now.

Only thing i hope is they make it a little more dark blue, whole point of zodiac was seeing the constellations in the night sky not in the bright day light.
Anyways, Thank you Anet for adding in the skins, and making them not account bound, I was able to buy a few directly from TP.

The reason is that these are not the actual Zodiac weapons, these are knockoffs…

Ofc its relevant, there was no lore provided behind how the BLTC acquired them.
My guess is that they are knockoffs….its my understanding of the lore and i am stating a pretty good reason why.

You can easily see how they look like light blue plastic toys compared to what was offered in GW1, am truely dissapointed…

You should have gotten Braham’s mace when it was still on sale.

^ This exactly is hands down the best mace in the game, i bought 2 for my war and 1 for my guardian =D

Anet needs to stop going one step forward and two steps back…

The Zodiac skins in GW1 looked way better than these blue plastic toys…there have been several examples of how they continue to ruin amazing skins when they have better graphic engine and hundreds of dyes to work with…

I hope one of the designers actually takes time to read the comments here and realise they need to fix the skins…

What about the sclerite karka shell and/or the fervid censer? I’ve got both, not certain if I’d ever use either … but if I could make a pretty penny off ‘em in the TP, I’d toss ’em up for sale.

Those were from Meta achievements, while i think you should be allowed to sell them as well, I doubt Anet will unbound these.

are Zodiac skins also available on TP? If yes, this is finally some good news, and now we dont have to rely simply on RNG to get skins.

I have to agree with the OP, the skin needs to have a darker blue tint and once again putting them behind the RNG system is really a kick in the nuts.

Back to the main topic, the skins looked way better in GW1, and i know there will be several people who will say oh if they dont look like GW1 you wont like it….my answer is they need to look better than GW1 not worse, and they do look worse currently.

With a better engine, better graphics and not to mention a ridiculously more number of dye options, they should have gone with a darker blue….
There have been just too many weapons that are remnants from GW1 and almost every single one has been ruined, another example is the Hall of Monuments GS….

My request is please either fix these skins or do not use the name of GW1 as you are not doing any justice to them.

It’s actually very useful, you just need to apply a little work.
Think of what you know. You know that many, many people play the content, which means you know the distribution is dense.
Knowing the general shapes of dense distributions, apply a tail to each side, but I told you I eliminated one tail.
Now you have several possible models of total wealth gain for the content that you can get pretty accurate with only the one number. The individual isn’t important for what you’re attempting to learn, only the aggregate.

Straight from the expert, they are aware of the current situation and do not think its anywhere close to damaging the economy. Only thing that is inflating here are the comments of people rather than the economy.
Players who havent profitted much or want to prevent others from making gold during this limited time event are blowing this way out of proportion.
