From the sounds of it looks like you and your server are the ones that can’t pvp?
Frankly it sounds like you’re mostly a PvP Elitist kitten player who looks down on anyone not doing what he does and frowns on those that enjoy what they play, a person that can do dungeons well know how to play their class in PvE, leave it at that.
I’ve done sPvP, I’ve done WvW, now I’m farming up some gold, stop being a judgemental kitten, do everyone a favor and go switch your server, they’ll be better off without you.

Well it wouldn’t matter cause any server can run dungeons with another server as long as they are in the same region (US/EU). But if you really need to know I’m from Jade Quarry, we are #2 server as of now in the US in WvW.
Not sure how running p1 in less than 15 mins means a person can’t play their class, I’d guess they would take longer if they didn’t? Kind of contradicting there buddy.
Next time you’re doing this path and you’re in trouble, send me a whisper. I’ll make sure you succeed, I’m in US and I’m always up for fast tokens.
Oh yeah, he’s not that bad its 3-2dps on boss. It is kinda slow now that I think about it.

Been a while since I done this path but I believe you have to drag some mini golems with a gun to the boss so it explodes on the boss and therefore damage it faster?
You pwnt that spider queen, great use of terrain advantage by the way.
I understand that there are more greatsaws currently but what about in a few months? And they can never be resupplied except from the few people are currently sitting on and those will diminish as well. What is stopping someone from buying all those up and putting some back up for much more?
Same with mystic forge nodes. They are one of the key components for conduits. Currently the other rare components are 20g+ yet nodes are 1g. Someone could easily cut off the supply to one of the parts you need to make nodes and then buy up all the nodes and relist them at ten times the price or more and make a ridiculous amount of gold.
However since no one has done this I’m assuming there is some key obvious thing I’m missing.
I don’t believe that is entirely true. The skins can be crafted if you have the proper recipe. The recipe now… that’s another story, once used that’s used forever.
There’s no recipe for the greatsaw.

Hey, I have a necro, full arah gear, scythe staff and eye of rodgort. Want to finish my look so I’m wondering if any daggers out there that will look good along with the scepter eye of rodgort. Currently using orrian dagger so in need of an upgrade.

The recipes are for the actual legendaries NOT precursor (There is still a staff legendary that the recipe needs discovering)

Getting a legendary should be about the amount of effort put into the whole game NOT down to ANY random drop ANYWHERE
HAVING a legendary at the moment DOES NOT show your prowess at the game – It means you were either lucky enough to get a precursor drop – OR YOU BOUGHT a precursor OFF THE TRADING POST – (NOW that REALLY is legendary)

And I agree about your other point, I’ve got over 1000 hrs on my account (some afk time ofc) Have about 2000 of each dungeon tokens, 300 skill pts, I’ve soloed champions, legendary bosses and have enough gold for all the materials for a legendary BUT the precursor costs about the same price so I have to GRIND gold or wish for luck on the mystic forge, not very legendary at all.
Instead of working on a legendary staff for my Charr necromancer, I’m working on getting all the needed ingredients together for The Crossing, the Halloween craftable staff skin. Some professions simply don’t look good with the current legendaries. I prefer rare exotics over most legendaries any time.
May I suggest buying it, it’s much cheaper to buy it right now than craft it, of course this would have to be soon since price will be increasing now that there’s only like 7 left.
On a related note, I thin I’ll be getting Volcanus rather than Twilight for my Charr Warrior, I think it would just fit him better, everyone seems to have twilight and it just not that cool to me anymore, not for a charr warrior anyways I think it’d fit a human better.
I make sometimes doubleclicks without intention. It is not a big problem, but I always fear that it could happen in the wrong situation.
For buying with tokens, wasn’t there a confirmation window for short time? I am pretty sure, but yesterday there wasn’t one anymore.
There’s one if you click BUY on the bottom, not one for double clicking. Seems like something they’ve forseen so it’s best they know. Like that guy said this isn’t 1999 most MMOs have this feature.
In every game I have played, double clicking purchases the item. It does not preview an item. You have been playing this game for how long again? And in your entire time playing this game, when has double click previewed an item?
Why did you think that double clicking the item would preview the item?
The reason is not important, the point here is that double clicking shouldn’t purchase without a notification, i didn’t want the item it was never my intention on buying it, most items have notifications when you want to buy them, actually if you click buy you get a notification but if you double click you don’t, this is something that needs fixing.
And stop being a kitten, there are actual problems with this game that blind fanboys can’t see.
Put a confirmation screen on it kitten I was checking out armor and thinking i could preview it I double clicked it and bam, just bought light armor I don’t need -_-
they are a nice class to bring along, but very boring to play in my opinion.
I’ve read player say it takes a long time to get Escort Warmaster Leddron event to start (read some say “wait an hour after beating the 3 in catacombs”), and just wanted to share an unexpected experience. After doing the destroy coffins & beat the 3 (noble, wraith, abomination) in the Catacombs, I got the helicopter into the air. Went to the swamp and the anti-aircraft gun was not targetable. I thought I’d have to wait for it to become targetable/event started, but I rained fire (AOE) with my Elem on it while it was untargetable and it changed to targetable (“did that just happen?”) and the anti-aircraft event ended when the AA gun was destroyed. ….could be coincidence, but so very odd, seemed an AOE on the AA gun started the event. Warmaster showed up, with basically no wait.
If all the other events have been done and the AA gun event in the swamp is not active, try AOEing the AA gun.
Good luck with the Champ Abomination. Champ can’t jump; if looking at Champ from front when he spawns, there is a rock slab on his right, a player can jump up to the different elevation; Champ has to run around to get u; jump up, dodge down, jump up, repeat. Bought time for a player to be resed this way (was only 3 of us. we still wiped). /shakefist@ Champ
I’ve done this event quite a few times so I pretty much learned all its requirements. First the event will only trigger after the coffins have respawned that’s the start of the chain, after the coffins 3 veterans will spawn they must be defeated. After this the main way to trigger is to destroy the 3 anti-air risen guns to the west of balthazaar temple, this should trigger it, but you may also have to rez the team from the crashed chopper south of where the champion giant walks. Then the anti-air craft risen gun of the event will become a target and you can destroy it.
The event can easy be soloed, the champ abomination is not so tough solo, you just have to let the pact members die because the abomination will scale up with them and become much tougher, after that just circle around it, avoid knockdown, have a stunbreak and its gg. When with a group, the guy that he’s following will have to run like a headless chicken because his frenzy is quite unforgivable.
Champ ooze is easy ranged you just have to zig-zag its attack, you can also melee but it has a knockout combo that can put you down so you have to watch out for that.
Finally the Eye is a little tough solo because of its adds and it’s healing, just remember to interrupt the second it starts to heal.
only when they scale up, 1vs1 they are pretty easy.

I can’t believe people still defend this selfish MF stat. I have no problem with it out in the open world heck even I have a set, but when it comes to dungeons if I see you with a sigil of luck you’re going out.
I think it’s 15 fractal relics for 1 skill point? that’s like 2 fractals after level 15 for 1 skill point + u get experience and other goods.
Edit: 35 relics for a skill pt according to wiki, so a full run including jade maw could get u about 2 skill pts depending on the fractal level u are on.
@ TheMaskedParadigm – Hey man, If you read a few posts back I got the opportunity to explore path 4 and posted my findings but I’ll post them again for you.
I just finished path 4, only thing after Simin is a couple of champions and the legendary giant, this event is pretty tough, we finished it but when the cannon charges it kills the giants, didn’t try to hit them cause I thought they’d be left alive so I guess if anyone can confirm if they actually can be killed without the cannon then the loot wud have to come from the giant because no chest spawned after the event. If not i’ll try it myself next time i do the path.
Another interesting thing I found is a POI named Zhaitan’s Rest, nothing special about but the name, BUT if you look closely at the zoomed out map there’s an arrow pointing to it? I’m just seeing things now…

The attachment can be found on the original post. Anyway I did kill the champion risen knight, you also fight one in the beginning. Though these look like gargoyle someone suggested undead harpies and it does make more sense since they have sort of the same animations and body shape.
The poi I mentioned is bugged. I went back to get a screenshot of “Dhuum’s Last Stand” and instead, the poi was switching to Village of Wren, so…
I like the idea of it being dopped (via chest or looting since it’s unclear now) from a random boss in a dungeon. If it happened this way, I’d suspect it to be somewhere in the Ascalonian Catacombs.
In Guild Wars 1, we’re told that the gargoyles are often found in The Catacombs; also in the catacombs is a room holding a shrine to Grenth behind necromancer Munne. This room is also filled with, you guessed it, gargoyles.
So we have gargoyles, and necromancy all in one place in GW2: The Catacombs.
edit: not to mention that the catacombs are the final resting place of countless Ascalonians.
I thought this too, but after hours of carefully exploring all the paths there’s really nothing new that can be found, not to mention how many times the dungeon has been done being one of the most popular out there, even the troll has been killed enough times for it to have dropped by now.
The only infinitely repeatable achievement I can think of is Agent of Entropy that you get for salvaging stuff. Playing normally (ie. never going out of my way to salvage stuff), I’ve gotten 140 points out of 4224 total points. I salvage everything that vendors for less than 90c.
If all I lose is those 140 points, I’d be okay with it. However, I’m not sure that I’d qualify as someone who went crazy. It’s 2 points per 200 salvages. So, I’m at about 14,000 items salvaged.
Also, based on the screenshot and the value of dailies (9) and monthlies (35), it looks like you can get a nice amount of stuff each month with the 305 points you’d get for completing 30 dailies and the monthly.
Really looking forward to this.
Just want to quickly point out to get out ahead of it since those numbers are wildly off. You receive 1 crown per daily, and 10 per monthly. (We’re also still tweaking the costs of the items shown in the screen shot, and will continue to adjust them until until the system is released.)
Will we still get the mystic coins along with these new crowns? And will the current karma rewards be effected?
BTW I am loving the direction you are taking in rewarding open world exploration!.
You will still receive all the same rewards you currently get for your daily and monthly achievements, this will be an additional reward on top of it to make it more rewarding.

My new favorite legendary is the juggernaut, the weapon itself is not that great looking, but the effect it gives on your armor (glossy) is so amazing. silver/gold goes great with that legendary you look like a freaking GOD. Would totally pick this over sunrise/twilight.

Demagogue is some guy from the white mantle lore from GW1, nothing seems to connect with gargoyles or a final resting place (unless it’s the demagogue himself), won’t hurt for someone to check it out though.
I think arah has been nerfed or people have just gotten better, but the hp on mobs seems to have been decreased. I remember that silver mobs would take quite a bit to kill but last time I was there, each mob took about 10seconds if all 5 members dps it down.
I’ll add my own idea. Has anyone explored the “Defeat the Trio of Risen Sea Monsters” event in Malchor’s Leap? The event itself just to the west of Snaketail Inlet, in a circle around the skill point. This event is close to the poi Malchor’s Anguish. This poi is weird because the name changes between that and Dhuum’s Last Stand.

General group is bad usually because they are new at GW2 Dungeons, and AC is pretty unforgiving with their traps and not really knowing what’s going to happen next with mobs that hit like a brick if you let them. Not full traits at low levels and still learning the class makes it all more complicated.
Personally I did Arah Story mode after AC story mode and of course it felt much easier IMO.
CM wasn’t that bad for me, but then I’ve had some experience by then so this probably made it seem easier.
I’m not sure why they made AC story mode pretty tough compared to other story modes, it’s indeed pretty punishing for newcomers and leaves dissapointment in them.
Necroing this thread because minions are still spawning on grubs, joined a group the other day and indeed 2 spawned on grubs and he ate them asap, making the fight slightly difficult, it’s worse that I constantly have a minion spawn because they live so long. So putting my necro back in the shelf for this fight.

Well hey, if you say it must be true right, Some people are indeed pathetic others could use some guidance and the improvement is noticable, however spark pathing is still pretty buggy if you read that thread.
Anyway I’m moving on before I get infracted, carry on.
The fight is doable, no excuses. That still doesn’t prevent them from improving things.
I do agree it’s doable, just don’t pretend that it’s working as it should.
Don’t take it from me though. There’s a thread about it with over 15000 views and a dev addressing the issue. If you take your elite status glasses off and read through it you might find it.
I go to sparks, sparks follow me. I don’t see how that’s not working as intended. What do you want? Them to automatically go to right place?
It’s working as intended, that’s why they are being worked on because they are fine.

IIRC, Robert said he did only minor tweaks to their behavior. Nothing indicates that it’s completely broken and impossible.
It’s broken that’s the point, it’s not impossible I’ve done path 4 plenty of times also, I just don’t put a blindfold and pretend things are working fine and people just need to L2P and get banned when the game is not working as intended itself.
Until Anet comments we can’t be 100% sure it’s an exploit. But if something feels unintended (like in this case boss not attacking back?) there is a good chance it is considered as an exploit.
Well I’m not here to argue glass cannons/faceroll/skill, my main point is the fight is not working as intended (buggy sparks), the point is you can’t ban people for using the 4-1 tactic if the sparks mechanics are buggy themselves.
Sparks aggro to closest target. Last 3 times I have pugged Simin I have seen no weird behaviour from sparks.
It’s been beaten to death and even confirmed by robert that sparks pathing is not working as intended.
I don’t see how people find the champ abomination tough, I’ve soloed it with both my necro and warrior and I’m sure any class can pull this off since finding people to help you with this event is hard sometimes.
The abomination has very slow animations, even in melee the normal attacks are predictable and can just be avoided by circling/going behind the mob. The attack you want to avoid is the knockdown, you should be able to easy dodge that but if he gets you make sure you have a stun break.
You do want to stay away when he’s frenzy, his attacks are faster and will get you, after a few seconds he’ll get stunned and go back to normal.
Repeat until dead.

We had to fight all the way to the next boss with more and more veterans rallying down that road and there were no extra wps afterwards either, so if anyone died at any point later they would have to run trough vets rallying down that path in groups. The funny thing is that when you use that wp you also sometimes spawn surrounded by a group of 20 of them because they just kept on pilling.
Lol yeah, this is working as intended just like that game dev said.

4-1 trick only works if you have very very high DPS (enough to kill Simin after 4-1). If you can’t do that it just gives you a better start and you have to deal with remaining health as intended. It’s now awfully hard but big problem is that you can’t faceroll.
Spark aggro can be annoying but it’s not impossible unless you have everyone randomly running around.Based how bad people can do it you don’t need everyone with glass-builds. What you need is people who are ready to adapt and swap weapons/utilities to more offensive ones and be able to follow simple orders (like Warriors shouldn’t use stuff like Endure Pain).
Playing glass actually forces you to improve your own game-play because you die more easily.

Well buggy as in, and like I explained already. Sparks in simin not following correctly so using the 4-1 spark trick for a poorly coded boss mechanic. This is buggy/not working as intended. Imagine they giving out bans for doing this when the boss mechanics are buggy themselves.
Also I don’t see how cornering players into berserker builds is improving own game-play.
Okay, I haven’t done this path since november 13th so I guess they changed their minds, back then a dev said that infinite waves weren’t intended, before they patched it there were no infinite waves and the dungeon objective back then said “defeat the incoming waves” NOT “Fight your way through the infinite waves”
Sad they took the lazy route on this one.
