I don’t have it myself, but if it’s anything like Pirate’s costume then the 5 skills are tied to the toy (frying pan). 3-4 of them should be brawling skills.

I haven’t really done it, but I put 2 town clothes in a transmutation stone and I could’ve clicked the button (I didn’t though), so you could always try “hax” transmuting with any CS town clothes (some town clothes have only chest piece that cover the legs as well, so take care). Then it shouldn’t have to matter which race you do it with, since all town clothes are the same (they just look different depending on your race, like the CS chefs costume). Or you could just use the chefs costume since that will look planty on sylvari.

PS. You could also try to write a ticket. But since this wasn’t caused by any bug it’s not something to count on. Any mod would give the same advice…

I wouldn’t say no to more dungeons, or more stuff overall in open world to do. But for the love of all fluffy kittens (not censored btw) don’t intruduce gear grind…that’s why I left my previous MMO. Can’t be asked to have my gear that cost a bucket of gold to make become outdated and useless, like every patch…

(I wouldn’t mind some form of hard mode raid, but not something I’m pushing for)

I don’t understand…Piercing Arrows is one of the good traits. I don’t see any problem with it as Master trait…That’s why you want it on default, but that’d leave only bad traits left…

No, needing to trait for pierce is a good imo, and if any other class has it on default they should need to trait for it as well.

One thing that I would appreciate though is if they merged Eagle Eye and Piercing Arrows, because it’s not worth spending 30 points into that traitline for both of ’em.

I agree, WvW and PvP are two different things, any comparison is pointless.

Can I get glory from PvE then? I don’t like PvP that much but I wanna look good and be of high rank when I’m there. I should be able to play what I like and have everything in this game, buhuu ;_;

Judging by the tools they’ve lacked in the past I’d say guild splitting is very far down the list. I think it’s safe to assume that won’t happen.

Why not have it in both CS and in game?

• Got no time but real cash? CS!

  It was my understanding that that was part of the reasoning for gem/gold conversion…

Some other points I’d like to address:

• CS only skins/costumes, I see no problem with that, although 1 time use skins are a bit..hmm…
• Craftable simpler town clothes, I love this idea!
• Hair/Total makeover kits, Hair kit costs almost as much as Total kit, I find it slightly unproportional. I don’t see a problem with Total being CS only and Hair being in both CS and in game.
• Fine stones, as I voiced in another thread, the option to combine many basic stone would be nice…

Everything is already, technically, obtainably by gold anyway…

More than russians use some form of cyrillic alphabet. I don’t understand why it’s not natively supported. I was surprised to see I could not write in cyrillic actually.

The Norn Cultural T2 medium armor Predatory looks mostly fine, in fact I’m not suggesting even changing the look!

The leg piece is a wicked mini-skirt, but it has a bear head that is not fitting for most armors, and I bet would even clip with quite a few.
I suggest simply moving the bear head from the legs to the chest piece, I’m also sure this would clip a lot less with other armors, and the head kind of goes with the coat anyway.

This is a minor issue though, so no rush. It doesn’t even matter if it happens or not, but would be super if it did

Even if they didn’t do anything, even if I could just meet my alts in their capital’s home instance, that would be AWESOME!
(Of course there might be problems with multiple characters of the same race but with different story)

How you reward play is also how you tell your players how to play. Why would we want to defend/take stuff when we aren’t rewarded for it (only talking about badges atm)? Badges comes from killing players…so we should all just run around killing stuff? I thought that gameplay was intended for sPvP. WvW is upposed to be all about conquering (killing is just a mean to achieve the goal).

If you mean simply reducing the radius, yeah why not. Though /say spam haven’t bothered me since launch, /map is the big culprit.

If you mean taking in to account real acustic effects, that’s a whole other story…

Exotic is exotic, all exotics have the same total amount of stats, that’s never going to change.

I run multiple dungeons almost every day. For the tokens I can gear alts, and I get gold from dungeons + saving gold on having to craft them, a double whammy!

PS. If the asnwer was “reason you have to farm a particular dungeon for it’s tokens is for the skin of the armor”, have fun~

I’d suggest for part of the legendary (the precursor perhaps) to actually have to be built rather than dropped. something like mystic forge recipe. 4 250 stacks of some material that are only optainable as a reward from hard dungeon(s). Only 1 reward per (let’s say 1 of each mats) day, account bound and the account can only get the daily reward, not characters.

Then it’d take at least 250 days, you had to work for it yourself, and no wallet or RNG involved (at least in this part).

It would be nice indeed, but it wouldn’t solve the main problem. You can at some points accumulate a good amount of tokens, well over 250, and 1 spot wouldn’t be enough. So how many would? I’d like to suggest that the dungeon NPCs sell some form of refined token for 250 normal tokens, and also sell 250 tokens for 1 refined token. Not the most elegant conversion system (I’d still prefer it though), but easy enough and would mean you can potentially stack 250X250=62500 in one stack. If regular and refined tokens had their spots in a collectible tab (a lá tiered materials) that’d be great!

Some times you just want to play by yourself, this is why the hidden feature exists. Can we please have the ability to hiddenly log on…hidden. That is to say your friends/guild never even see you log on (instead of Player.#### has logged in, logged out). Minor issue, but would be nice to have.

I love how ANet just keeps messing these little things up. The preview system was (apart from not showing particle effects (and in particular sucked for priory weapons)) damn near perfect…

Get real, gambling is a big money maker, wether it be earning $/€ or removing gold from the system. I’ve noticed gambling and f2p go hand in hand, it won’t be removed.
(I do not endorse gambling, but this is the internet, my opinion doesn’t matter)

Yes, because getting 5-10 points, that i can use for nothing, by going out of my way to pointlessly kill 5000 Jotunns really motivates me! Even more so when there’s a leaderboard that I know for a fact that I won’t top, as there is always someone better than you.

If they need to set up pointless goals just to get people to actively roam the world they utterly failed in my opinion.

I’m not against having player actions make a more permanent impact on the world, but using a pointless achievement system to do so is wrong.

I’m looking for a guild that is dedicated to seeing all of it’s members having a chance at any dungeon at any time.

My old guild had a core group that only do CoF and CoE, that’s not what I’m looking for…

One of the things that annoy me as well. My Norn will look like she’s constantly surprised underwater. Is this only a female problem?

I stopped naming my pets for the reason that it doesn’t stick. I later read that it was all saved server side, and that it was like this to save space…Why save this server side? I’d rather have it client side…it’s not like I continiually play on 5 different machines that needs synchronizing…
Actually, it seems that most, if not all configurations are saved server side. Keybinds are server side at least, which makes even less sense as different computers might have different peripherals…

To me being a ranger means prowling and ranging. Hiding in bushes and trees and stalking your pray. Delivering precise and powerful shots when the situation arrives. Being fair with swords and daggers in close combat. Having a faithful pet companion that aids you without hesitation.

I sure didn’t imagine being a short-bow machine gun, that’s sort of what I expected Thief short bow to be. Or having my choice of pet limited to how their skills fit into my build…

Just wanted to say that while some jumping puzzles are negatively affected by the Norn’s size (mostly inside caves and small areas), for others it’s actually an advantage. For outside big platforms platforming all the gaps look relatively smaller for Norn, it feels more like you’re actually going to make that jump!

:D I have the biggest Norn, I colored my armor pink as well to make it stand out even more. It’s not my problem their characters are so small right?

And no one tells a Norn to undress but herself!

If I see a blue diamond above your head I automatically assume you’re a rich unpleasant person. Nothing more, nothing less. Just saying.

Gave up as well. Not proud that I did. My biggest concerns of this puzzle were:

• Other people obscuring your own player.
• The wait in between attempts.
• Small fragments that “snag” your character (also very obscured at times).

Honestly otherwise it was fine. Good fast pace and some unforgiving segments. Would like to see more hard stuff, even though I feel like punching the wall as I do it

Norn’s quite obviously based on nordic/germanic tribes. But making them Native American is very interresting indeed And I see no reason why it shouldn’t work. They both make use of fur/leather etc.

But you asked for advice on what to wear more exactly. Well, there’s a ton of material on the internet, you can use PvP-locker (or Glory, think they renamed it) in Heart of Mists to preview most armors and weapons as well.
