[CDS] – Sanctum of Rall
i got quite lucky with Adnul. he did have his buff up a lot of the time, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as against Maddie for me. had to lpay her multiple times to beat.
once her buff was down, she’d WOOHOOOOO right away.
i only undershoot. or it doesn’t activate at all. also levitating in mid air for a few seconds than splatting. XDD
so there’s nothing that can be done on client’s end either?
nice, Bash. ; ))
agreed with celestial being a stronger contender for your non-typical hybrid builds. again, i’ll still be doing testing as well, but i can sort of imagine a build that focuses on healing power for sustain, moderate to decent direct damage, and a hefty amount of condition damamge. so it’ll definitely be build of attrition with sustained damage. definitely not burst. with support components. e.g. i feel it may make going 30 down virtues easier and can benefit condition damage (VoJ traits) as well as take advantage of high healing (boon duration for regen, protection).
what i like from what i’ve seen so far is that it gives you a good layout of core stats. and then you can tweak towards what direction you want using trinkets, foods, consumables and traits.
will take time, but looking forward to it.
if you run a max sized Norn vs a min size Asura, the Asura will seem quicker and more nimble in most, if not all cases. it’s hard to convince our brain what we see otherwise, and the perception is that bigger larger characters, ie Norn / Charr, will always seem clunkier.
so i want to say the clumsiness is in your head. i main a Norn Guardian.. and first starting out? i was terrible at jumping! cause of the same clunkiness you talk about (the terribad camera angles definitely didn’t help). but i stuck with him. : )) and later on, after creating sylvari, asura, humans, i felt jumping on them was a lot harder and less natural compared to my Norn. and most people will argue it’s easier on the smaller races. so i guess it comes down to what you get used to and accustomed to. : ))
o lol, here i was hoping the new thing to be improvements being seen. o well, one can hope. ; )))
lol she is nuts! XDDD
i have to admit, they did a stellar job with her character. i was about ready to flip the table and break my mug.
a big Norn like me, being outdrunk by a puny human? she reserves the right to be obnoxious in my face. hahaha
i do enjoy the idea of Guardians getting Torment. from a practical standpoint, it’s often said that Guardians aren’t that mobile, so having Torment does add to our arsenal and matches up well for “punishing” those that try to flee.
that’s an interesting idea, foofad, for replacing the low damage skills by throwing another condition on top of it.
@Uurik – here is one variation of the RHS burst build in the form of 0/30/30/5/5.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrjY5pLkCGE
the one that Brutaly mentions up top is very nice as well and easier to pull off with Mighty Blow imo.
if you plan to go the mace route, since it does depend on your Protector’s Strike (mace 3) getting hit, i like to target those who are already engaged in a fight (ideally a group!) since they’ll be attacking already. and you’re more sure to set off the AoE blast.
as you can see, main “burst” skills that the Guardian has is Shield of Wrath when it goes off, Protector’s Strike from the mace, Zealot’s Flame/Fire (double tap Torch 4), Zealot’s Defense (sword 3) – though i feel this is easiest to dodge, after WW on GS, and we have Whirling Wrath (GS2) and Mighty Blow (Hammer 2). so depending on what you want to run, you can always mix and match. and because of CDs and being in different situations, know that there isn’t just ONE way to burst.
if you want, Silven takes Valor X as well for Focused Mind which really only makes Smite Condition instant cast as well, so you can cast it anytime during your burst to add more AoE damage.
i enjoy having the hammer. it’s extremely powerful in WvW.
though, i wouldn’t completely shun the GS though. haha, i know i’m not making your choice any easier.
i’d say pick up the cheapest alternative you can get, suck it up for a few days using a non jade skin and mess around with both hammer and GS. get into different situations in PvE, dungeons, WvW, pair it up with the existing weapons you have and see how it goes. pick what you enjoy most! : ))
and this is just me being me, i would never advise stickign to only 4 weapons and let that be the end all.. i myself am extremely vain, lol, and go out of my way to get weaposn to match as well so i do see where you’re coming from as well… might i suggest the Priory weapons as back up weapons? in case the situation does call for one or the other or something you didn’t pick. or you need the scepter. or the focus. what have you. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Priory's_Historical_weapons
and grats on the skins. ; ))
i tried mixing soldier’s with cleric’s a while back. and as i slowly phased out soldier’s and ended up going full cleric’s, my… experience went up quite a few fold i must say.
though partially, i think it depends on your play style, your trait and weapon set up and what you achieve to do that can alter your “success” with a certain stat spread of set up. also, it might have been because i was getting more used to the style of play. but even with full cleric’s i don’t don’t feel it lacks that much more power than if you added some soldier’s in. i ended up keeping some soldier’s in my trinkets for some health buffer. but the higher you can get your healing power, the better i felt. : ))
good point re: Celestial Amulet in sPvP. though of course, the differences in PvP and PvE/WvW can be quite stark due to the use of consumables, buffs, and mix and matching.
like many ahve mentioned, even when going full celestial armor and maybe weapons, you can tinker to lean towards what have you in the area of trinkets. again, have yet to do more math but the loss of power can be easily compensated for. sure, it’s obviously easier to go a mix of soldiers/zerkers if you’re planning to go full offense. i think the key thing that celestial will be able to open up for us is perhaps some more build options. for e.g. going full into virtues while maintaining more similarity of stats that we have no on other balanced builds.
so. 100 badges with the 500 AP chest. 200 badges with the 1k AP chest…
somehow i feel my existence (AND efforts) in WvW being cheapened!! how dare they!! XDDD
you’re most welcome, buddy.
and the reason why it’s the priciest one lol. XDD12g is fine. I purchase around 2000 to 10000 gems per month. Most of them go to buy random crap on the gem store. I need help with my addiction.
:OOO let’s see. first, you can gift me random stuff from the gemstore. ; )) lol.
we have lots to thank you for Fuzzion, constant updates and the game ever changing.
“If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it” – my friend’s mom
Anyway, greetings from [GC]!
We have fought skirmishes against many well established guilds from JQ & BG, looking forward for more!
you are friends with Thumper??
i kid i kid. ; )) hope to see you out on the field soon!
i LOVE the shield as well. i’ll be going for that for my Guardian after Bolt. XDD which i love as well. that being said, my Guard is my main and i spend the most time with him.
though let me ask one question. how much do you like the Dreamer?
i’m from Hong Kong here. tried Sanctum Sprint last night and as much as i loved it, it was buggy / laggy as well. i don’t even care about the achievements at this point, i just want to be able to play a race, get good at it, have some friendly competition.
i haven’t even staretd on the Crystal hunt yet and not looking forward to it.
i’m not that familiar with server vs client stuff, or anything regarding that really. so is there nothing that we, as users, can do on our end to deal with the lag?
[added: though i will say it’s rather entertaining watchnig other people in front of me leap to their deaths unwillingly as well. i can be stuck no the very first lightning jump for a good minute and there will still be people behind me as well. le sigh. XDDD]
i actually love this, but feels unplayable for me. i experienced the randomness of #3, where either it sends me way overboard, sends me way short, or sends me right where i’m supposed to be, then i get lifted back up in the air again and once i floated up and down for a good 3 seconds before i regained control of my character. #2 sometimes sends me way ahead,a dn then i rubberband to be even further than where i started. i even died using #1 once. i tried to jump, it lagged, i floated again, and then i got sent back to the last checkpoint.
so few questions.. am i doing something wrong here? or is it just lag or my conenction to their servers? cause my system is fine.
with that being said.. if i could have some help understanding how the skills work.
any help would be much aprpeciated.
if i can figure out the skills work, then i figure out if it is lag. thuogh i fear it is the latter. ://
(edited by akamon.2769)
i felt Adnul was a decent fight. tough, but you had to be very careful. my fight with him was really dragged out, and i got the one drink left achievement against him
was lucky enough to face him once. gonna try again for fun.
Maddie was the worst though! lol, her “wooohoooo” spam was crazy. for a while, i’d get rid of her stacks, waiting to heal up the next round and she’d spam it right away lol. fought her like 6 – 7 times before i beat her. never again. XDDD
are you paying for them? how are they not free? you are getting stuff for simply playing the game, are you not? what are you giving up or sacrificing that you won’t ever see again to attain these items? after you “unlock” them, your points will still be there. sure some people have to work harder, especially those solely focused on WvW or PvP if they want the skins. though that’s a different story.
i agree, perhaps these big milestones could even be getting the weapon IN addition to getting the armor set. but ANet is just wanting to mix it up, and ensure their players keep coming back for more. and who’s to say there won’t be even ebtter armor and weapon sets out there later on.
so i do agree to certain extent with what you’re saying, however, your tone and attitude in how you’re responding to people is not helping the situation.
^^^ you’d be surprised. ; ))
or people who repeatedly walk into LoW or RoW or Sanctuary. given sometimes the particle effects can be distracting, and/or the wardings land in an awkward position i.e. right on top of someone, so after getting knocked down initially, when you stand back up you’re knocked down again immediately. but still. XDD
we get both insignias and inscriptions!
and Bash is correct, for 2h, it’s 79 per stat + 10% crit damage! and again, 3% MF.
looks like some good changes coming your way!
the thing is though, looking on gw2spidy, gw2db, etc, it looks like we’ll need INDIVIDUAL recipes for each piece of gear we want. so not the usual way of just learning the recipe for the insignia or inscription and using discovery. which is at lesat 6 diff recipes for a full set or armor, and then one for each weapon you want to use.. though, the recipes are all over the TP and are supposedly relatively easy to obtain. can someone confirm this?
and then of course, the time-gatedness of obtaining charged quartz crystals to craft them as well. though i heard people are getting charged quartz from the home-instance node as well though. might be a crit chance kind of deal with harvesting. so we may be able to get a full set within a month. :///
wait, so when do the respective timezones start actually?
i love jumping. i even jump in real life now to hone in on my skills!
well tbh, if you take a look at the “theme” of this patch, being in the skies, new movement skills, kites.. it kinda relates to jumping.
seemingly there’s a huge outrage this time around, perhaps it’s the 2nd patch in a row where a bunch of achieves are tied to JPs and jumping. maybe we’ll see how ANet chooses to move forward?
Don’cha mean how ANet plans to move up?
ba-dum tssss.
agreed, Bash. i’ll be slowly working towards one as well. ; DD
although, whelp, another armor / jewelry / weapon set… if the datamined data is legit.. we’ll get more bank tabs.. one of these days.
Tarsius, that would be pretty cool actually! if and when ya get around to it, i know nothing of site / app building, but if you ever need an extra eye to catch bugs or give suggestions, lmk and i can help.
and lol, i wouldn’t have known what a busman’s holiday was, so good heads up on the definition. lol. the best kinds of holidays, eh?
Holy cow they look freaking awesome, esp the wind catcher.
Thanks for that bro
you’re most welcome, buddy.
and the reason why it’s the priciest one lol. XDD
Can we buy the new Backpacks from TP. I hate PvE
ask and ye shall receive!
…to some nice parkour…
HARDCORE PARKOUR!!!
edit: ahh, there we go.
(edited by akamon.2769)
nice! that’s helpful too, Tarsius. ; )) thanks for that.
i do wonder how much more work these build sites are getting with all this new content that keeps getting pumped out! lol. XDD
side note: another great thing about the PvP locker is you can mix and match preview most, if not all, the armor and weapons to see how it looks on your character. ; ))
The only classes this armor is particularly good for are classes that can easily fill multiple rolls (especially utilizing the cond. dmg, and healing pwr) with one build. The only ones that I can think of right now are Engis and Eles.
Other than that, Valkarie/Knights mix is more effective than Celestial for most other classes looking for rounded stats, and much easier to get
i want to say i feel Guardians to a certain extent, maaaay be able to use Celestial stats to their advantage as well. but perhaps not as well suited as you mentioned, engis or eles.
yes, you’re right, Brutaly! i always forget about the overall higher raw stats.
heh, exactly. i’ve started to incorporate Magi’s into some of my builds they can turn out quite nicely with the right mix. i guess for what it’s worth, i’m quite proud of how the community has “matured” if you will. least within the Guardian community. note, i didn’t start playing until early headstart and took me a WHILE to really learn the ins and outs of the game and i am still learning by the minute (thanks to all you folks!).
early on, many were quick to shun certain traits, abilities, stats, myself included! to name a few e.g., “healing power scales terribly!” —> meet the Healway build and all other builds that stack Healing Power and watch them never go down; “condition guardians? wutloll2p” --> now we have a stickied thread on the Burning Guardian, and a lot more.. and this is only on the official forums. there a ton of other sites, and videos on youtube that have been learning and adapting and trying new things. now with the introduction of celestial gear, it may not seem a BiS by any stretch at first glance, but here, there are people willing to test and experiment with an open mind. so, props to you all! XDD this is just my personal feeling. of course, we have a long way to go.. and the interwebz will be the interwebz.. but it’s been an absolute pleasure. an absolute, absolute pleasure.
though, i digress.
okay, so time for some numbers. yaaay, math. so i did a quick spreadsheet, and i have food coma right after lunch, so apologies for any mistakes. and please correct me if i’m wrong! if you take all Celestial Gear, armor, weapons* and ascended trinkets, save the backpiece (which i only have down as an exotic soldier back with an emerald jewel fwiw), you achieve the following:
Power – 1,366
Precision – 1,392
Toughness – 1,382
Vitality – 1,351
Healing Power – 435
Condition Dmg – 664Roughly translating to:
Attack* – 2,477
Critical Chance – 26.5%
Critical Damage – 58%
Armor – 2,593
Health – 15,155
For comparison’s sake, let’s just use a typical 0/5/30/30/5 build, to reach:
Power – 1,366
Precision – 1,442
Toughness – 1,682
Vitality – 1,651
Healing Power – 735
Condition Dmg – 744Attack* – 2,477
Critical Chance – 28.9%
Critical Damage – 88%
Armor – 2,893
Health – 18,155
Note: * Assuming using 2-handed weapons; 79 points to all stats 10% crit dmg (source: gw2db)
As you can see, from a stat spread perspective, i think these are quite respectable stats and this is without runes or sigils or buffs. Of course, my first concern is that Power is definitely on the lower side. Crit chance can be EASILY boosted. Retributive armor – though it’s a trait i won’t really take nowadays, and Master Oils you get just over 40%. and you have a very respectable crit damage right off the bat! In addition, you have close to 850+ dodge roll heals already, and your burns will be doing ~500 per tick.
Not to mention, magic find 41%!! which is awesome. cause magic.
if we’re going for something well-balanced, i am tempted to use a classic Power + Might Duration Rune combo and Might stacking sigils. Say a combo of 3×3 of Fire, Strength or Hoelbrak, Sigils of Battle. Tack on Bloodlust stacks, and a food that gives primary Power, you bring it close to 3k attack/1.8k Power with some nice Might stacks to stick around.
or like you mentioned Brutaly, stacking Boon Duration for a more well-rounded build, and keep Might sigils. and this is just one direction we could head in…
on first glance of some basic numbers.. tbh, apart from power, i am relatively quite comfortable with the stats we get completely untraited. so now i’m wondering if this could open up more builds for the Guardian class going forward? i might be going to try to craft a set as well and see how it goes. after all, i quite like the ring of “The Celestial Guardian”.
(edited by akamon.2769)
i love jumping. i even jump in real life now to hone in on my skills!
well tbh, if you take a look at the “theme” of this patch, being in the skies, new movement skills, kites.. it kinda relates to jumping.

for those who received PvP items that you cannot use, it’s the same for all PvP reward chests that reward goodies / skins. but don’t worry!!
go to Heart of the Mists, the battle grounds for s/tPvP, and then you should be able to click deposit all. since they are PvP items, you can’t deposit them if you’re anywhere BUT in the Mists. WvW doesn’t count.
once deposited, they can be used by any of your characters. : )) you can access them in the PvP Lockers (south of HotM, you’ll see 3 lockers snuggled in a corner).
note that for each item slot, all yoru weapons, gear, so essentially anything but PvP crafting mats, boosters and salvage kits, each item will only stack once. so what to do with the extras if any? you can salvage them for more mats which allow you to get different skins using the PvP MF, or throw them on your alts. : )) hope this helps!
not sure why they are denoted as Soulbound really.
hmm in WvW/PvP, i’m gonna have to say hadns down Judge’s Intervention for me. even in builds with meditations specced, i find it hard to peel myself away from Judge’s.
in dungeons, i want to say Line of Warding is actually one of my all time favorites. nothing like stopping a bunch of silly mobs in their tracks and watch us burn ’em down XDD
Hallowed Ground (especially traited for shorter CD longer lasting)i’ve been playing with a bit more lately, and is beast in various situations! and hello Mighty Blow or lightning hammer eles, always nice to see you. i’d imagine it’s amazing for certain fights in WvW as well. major anti-CC.
dear Shaiden, could i request you change the wording in your OP regarding Dulfy? i’m not here to argue if she deserves in-game gold or now, and tbh, i believe and feel she and her team do what they do because they enjoy it..
while your questions and concerns are legit, they’re worded in a sense where you’re implying that Dulfy did use such “insider information”. even if only as an example. you didn’t have to bring the attention to her name like that.
yes.
i was super excited for the pirate Quaggans. and the other two were a pleasant surprise as well!!
now if only one day we’ll be able to have up to 3 or multiple minis out at the same time XDDD
hey Uurik, i actually wanted to recommend something like tapdatmouse’s build too.
i played with a
5/10/30/20/5 variation last night with buffed symbols (larger + healing) with full meditations instead of shouts and obviously, Monk’s Focus.
used 5 Warrior Runes + 1 Divinity Rune. Berserker ammy and jewel.
GS + Mace/Focus instead to add some burst dmg with Focus #5 (shield of wrath).
aaaaaaaaand snap. i just realized, i switched weapons and didn’t put sigils in.. DDDD:
also took Signet of Resolve for heal and then the Signet Recharge Reduction trait in Radiance. if i felt conditions weren’t as much as in issue, i would swap to Blind Exposure. also took Purity in Valor so that’s 2 conditions removed every 10s, adn then i had two active condition removals, where one was a mass condition converter.
i like playing with Meditations. JI is godsend in any form of PvP for the Guardian in my opinion. JI alogn with WW can help you land most hits on an unsuspecting or oterhwise distracted foe. and as i missed having stability (especially on Skyhammer!) smite condition as moer AoE burst, as well as condition removal, and Contemplation of Purity as more condition conversion as well as stun break and both heals i felt was more useful. so you can give it a shot too.
i face the same problem as you :PPP i keep switchnig builds, but when i do come back to this symbol build, it performs amazingly. the type i don’t enjoy AS much for the Guardian is the meta, bunkering :///
good luck and keep practicing!
key things to learn about the Guardian and sustainability from my perspective and experience:
@Crapgame – currently, the highest tier of armor would be Exotics. Ascended currently only exists for jewelry / trinkets.
Celestial, like foofad said, is just another stat distrubution. so would be in the same league or category as: berserker’s, knight’s, soldier’s, cleric’s carrion, etc etc
in terms of appearance, i haven’t looked too far into it yet, but i assume they will be the same as the crafted exotic armor sets (i.e. draconic for heavy armor).
the thing about celestial/divinity runes/all primary stats is that you get a bit of everything, but at the same time, there’ll be wasted stats whereas you could have gone for something else more power focused, crit focused.. wasted stats in the eye of the beholder, but usually magic find, or condition damage for Guardians, for e.g.
however, it does give a good cushion sometimes, depending on your build, and allows for some flexibility in terms of traits. although, you really won’t be “specialized” in any area, as most of the builds we see are now i feel. yes, there are definitely hybrid builds out there, but they still tend to lean towards offense, or support, or defense, or what have you.
@Brutaly, being full celestial will be interesting. both slightly surprised and not so surprised you’ll be taking this on. ; )) you really will be well balanced in terms of stats, and what you choose as your traits will really boost your build in that direction.. but will the stats be enough? i am looknig forward to it.
in terms of runes.. i want to say i am leaning towards something power based as well. though, i might even see a mix of stats as well in a couple more particular areas.. but you might be spreading the stats around too much. i feel boon duration (both general and specific) could be interesting as well.
retal works best when you have people hitting you for multiple hits over a short period of time. of which, most mobs in PvE don’t do. they simply attack too slow for retal to be meaningful truly meaningful.
i quite like the map actually. not only cause it’s new, but the mechanics offer something different, albeit another node capture. mind you, it’s new as well.. and hopefulyl ANet is keeping an eye and will make tweaks necessary.
i know we can adapt and learn to have fun with whatever we’re given… no? no??
so now the patch is out, sorry if i missed anything, but i don’t recall reading anything about nwe skins in PvP? or are the Zenith weapons unlocked using APs the new skins and we can use them in PvP as well?
i got on last night to do PvP daily, and bam, second map was Skyhammer.
it was so much fun. apart from being a new map, the mechanics were interesting. still a lot to explore! definitely bring stability. and knockbacks or pulls if you have ’em ; ))
the laser was fun too, though i’ll be honest, took me a bit of time to figure it out.. lol. i think it can be dodged, though timing is still tricky for me at the moment. only played the map once. defs can’t be blocked though lol.
i guess it was still new, so the holes inthe ground weren’t really a problem yet, but i can foresee once people get familiar with the map… engi pulls, knock backs, thieves, mesmers will have fun times. :OOO
i take the stance that what you did was not right. i see where you’er coming from and want every single point to count. however, this shouldn’t be done at the expense of others. sure, they can invite others, i am sure they knew that. but the fact is, it’s courtesy to join up with a group and stick until the end. emergencies aside, if you can’t set apart 1 hr for a dungeon, then don’t form a group.
i do feel your group overreacted as well, but you are saying “i am more important than you” when you left the group. you didn’t even let them know ebfore hand. again, the point isn’t that they could have easily found another person.. it’s that by committing to a group, you ditched them after 1 level. if you had let them known from the get-go and they didn’t mind, that’s another story.
what you could have done, or what you should do next time is, start a LFG like someone mentioned, specify “lvl 1 frac 1 level for daily!” am sure a TON would join you because i know many are like-minded as yourself and wnt every single AP they can get and hate fractals.
i hope this helps people : ))

to each their own. ANet can’t make everyone happy, nor can YOU make everyone in YOUR life happy. am sure they’ll keep expanding. i’d assume you could not unlock the sets that you don’t like and wait for future content.
i personally like that it’s only 3 pieces.
you’re most welcome. ; ))
and thank you, too. on that note, off to lunch now.
stay classy, T1. :PP
whelp, can’t say i didn’t try.
some people won’t even take the chance when given.
i hope you have a lovely and wonderful day, Kathy K.
agreed. dailies and monthlies shoudl continue to count towards AP accumulation. i agree they can perhaps buff the APs gotten for for e.g. WvW achieves or equipping 5 legendaeies or slaying 1000 giants. but is someone’s time comnig in to do dailies EVERY day for a month, not dedication? that their time is not worth something?
even if they don’t change or buff the other achievements, i would be fine with that and i don’t think anything is wrong.
heck, end of the day, play the frigging game for what it’s worth to you. ever watch Whose Line is it anyway? where points don’t matter… and people have a TON of fun. i LOVE that fact that they’re adding bonuses you can unlock with the achievement system, but if they didn’t, i’d still have just as much fun with the game. maybe it’s just a change of perception, but it sure can make life a lot easier for those than what some people think they’re going through.
@Kathy K, @pot, can i ask a question, why do you guys hate SoR so? it’s not even on a healthy competitive, smack-talking level anymore. and it hasn’t been for a while. and is it necessary to spew this all out in the open?
i know, on SoR we aren’t all perfect goodie goodies (far from it!), so by putting us down, does it make you feel better? what does it accomplish exactly?
these are genuine questions. because i, personally, don’t enjoy reading posts when people put down other servers or individuals, including your server and individuals that you are connected with. so let alone when it’s about my server.
maybe i shouldn’t care, it’s the interwebz afterall.. but this is a game where we exist as a community, servers aside, and participate in a 3 way match. so to a certain extent, i think we all hold power into how the game is built up going into the future. just thinking out loud i guess.
like many have said, i usually pop Empower right before combat, drop a symbol, and then switch back to whatever mainhand, in your case, the GS.
if you’re in a long fight and you don’t see a lot of stacks coming in, or need aheal comnig up, you can always switch to Staff, auto or staff #2 (which deals quiet a bit of damage actually), drop symbol again on enemy or LoW if needed, and then i usually pop Empower when weapon swap is almost up so i can utilize the might stacks in hammer or GS. if you don’t feel you need the heal, you can always just keep hitting with the GS, though it’s quite a CD dependent weapon so i feel switching to staff can actually help quite a bit.
if you’re in organize groups, perhaps you can even time Empower so your group will use their big DPS skills after they receive the stacks when they know it’s coming?
o snap. i usually don’t hit up the forums when it’s the weekend and i missed a LOT. i promise i didn’t break buildcraft again.
grerat stuff with the calculations and looking forward to seeing more progress.
how was the rest of your time in WvW, Kelnis? i tried playing a more offensive build in WvW over the weekend with the little time that i had, aand i was rubber banding all over the place. : (( so i left. lol
i would personally suggest having 10 in Valor like Amins, or maybe even 5 in Radiance (just for the AoE blind on F1), 5 in Valor, though argubly, most will take 10 in Valor. especially with all the conditions running around, the 2 conditions removed passively / 10s actually helps a lot. of course, this is taking Purity (Valor V) as well as Signet of Resolve for heal.
i built a “Healing” based build as well, but i’ve altered it to have close to 30% crit chance, with a bit less healing and less armor / health. of course, know you won’t be hitting big numbers, but you’ll be able to “outlast” most if they don’t turn tail and run. the boons help big time though if you’re running with others especially.
the staff argubly adds a lot of offensive support if you’re running in a group. though i can see GS working with Hammer as well. know which situations to use what skills. ; )) think about giving scepter/shield or mace/shield or pair them up with the focus as well for some more defensive, yet offensive play.
