Personal story (PS) does give you some, i think. got some yesterday when i was doing PS on my warrior.

OP does have a valid question. i however, have pre-purchased HoT, but also wonder how much space will GW2 finally take altogether after HoT launched, as my SSD is only around 8GB left. if it does increase more than 10GB i’ll no other choice than having to buy bigger SSD.

just get yourself and your friends transfer off to SoS. SEA is still alive and kicking there. or any of the T3. saying SEA is dead outside T1 just show that you have no clue at all…

can confirm happens on my ele. not sure about other class.

they need to :

1. remove the lower tier servers. leave only 15. for EU leave only 18.

2. offer free transfer to the non-full remaining servers. allow for one week for players to coordinate themselves. still plenty of servers left even after the removal. status depends on active WvW participation anyway, so mass transfer to a server does not make the server full if they are all PvE players.

OP didn’t farm skill point challenges before the changes to hero point ?

many, like myself, have not tried the new map, so to say that nobody like this map is an obvious exaggeration. points per kill can be arranged.

does anyone in the WvW team at Arena Net listen to the request for WvW gear salvage ?

i’ believe those cost has been calculated in their marketing budget, and have minimal impact on the rest of the game.

back in my country sometimes people use the word Colgate when referring to toothpaste. my point is, certain word does become generally acceptable term whether you like it or not.

i think they are taking the “moving average” of WvW acivity into the calculation. what moving average , 24 hour ? 3 days ? 7 days ? we don’t know.

so yeah, it will take time.

this is done in preparation for HoT. new players will come , and they will be directed to the lower tier servers.

I highly doubt that the old gifts will be used in crafting the new legendaries.
They already mentioned that you will need dark energy, salvaged from ascended gear in order to craft new legendary gear in HoT.
Only a handful of new legendaries will be introduced with HoT anyways and I doubt it will be a staff as the Bifrost is pretty popular.

People also seem to forget that pursuing your new or old precursor to craft will lock your current mastery progression, which means you wont be able to progress within maguuma jungle for example.

dark energy is for legendary back piece. you’re worrying too much.

done map completion on 8 characters so far. can’t wait to do it on my Revenant when it comes out. yippi..!!

you might had that guild extra gathering bonus buff activated when you got that extra 1 log….

server with certain threshold of active WvW participation will be marked as full. considering FA is in T2 and that tier and above it (T1) are where most WvW activities are, you’ll likely be out of luck for a long time. the only T2 server not marked as full now is SoS…

now that you already planned for the ascended gear salvage, can we have the same for WvW gear so that we can transfer our expensive runes/sigils to other gear or sell them ? no need for the salvage mats, we only want to recover upgrades. after all, those WvW gear require gold in the first place, so even if the provide salvage mats, it wouldn’t matter much anyway,

can we get response from A-Net on this matter? ever ?

make them account unlock across all characters created. after all , at any given time you can only play one character right ? and the person behind that character is you.

when i pay for this game i also pay to use a character name in the game until i decide that i no longer want to use the name.

so, to OP proposal, no, my character name is mine regardless of how long i stay away from the game.

i’m still holding on to my Gift of Mastery and Gift of Fortune. My next legendary project is a staff but i’m not fond of The Bifrost, so i’m keeping my option open to see what the new legendary staff will look like.

I don’t have OCD, but I don’t mind achievement points. For example, there’s one Living World achievement I haven’t gotten around to getting and I’ve not finished one of the badge collections in the Silverwastes and one of those type of achievements in Dry Top, nor am I stressed that I haven’t gotten around to them. Eventually I’ll get them. I may never get the Liadri achievement or mini, and I’m not that stressed about that either.

Achievements are simply something some people like to do, in the same way that people play games to be challenged.

of course, not literally OCD as per say, i exaggerate it a bit, but you know what i mean ….

AR is very very easy to get. you just have to know what to do and how to get it. i’m now sitting on 100AR.

achievements are for people with OCD. if you don’t have OCD, you don’t need to do them all. if those people do it and they are rewarded, don’t get kitten. you can’t say people should not be rewarded for achieving something you don’t like.

most people, if not all, do dungeons for gold. perhaps they have found a way that gives more gold per hour of their time ?

i play on NA server and during SEA prime, and yes, i do notice the lack of lfg for dungeons. my guild do dungeons pretty much everyday, so the lack of dungeon lfg created doesn’t really bother me.

to answer OP’s question : yes, but not very critical.

most important, 100% recovery on upgrades like infusions etc….

Anet should update the server status on day-to-day basis, no longer.

pet AI in this game is useless. you don’t want heroes/henchmen. trust me.

been doing map completion on all characters while waiting for HoT.. guess i was doing them too quickly now i have nothing left to do. all i do now is mostly daily, and 3 or 4 dungeons then logoff….

i don’t pvp much. latency from my country to US doesn’t allow me to be competitive…

Wintersday was moved to DR because LA was in horrible state for a celebration events. come next festival I think they will be back in LA.

because of the availability of dodge mechanic, and down state….

test this : implement the map cap reduction .

T1 : no reduction
T2 : -5% reduction
T3 : -10% reduction
T4 : -15% reduction
T5 : -20% reduction
T6 : -25% reduction
T7 : -30% reduction
T8 : -35% reduction
T9 : -40% reduction (EU)

… lower tiers wouldn’t be able to queue the map anyway apart from possibly on reset, so the reduction would balance the match up a bit for the rest of the week.

test it for a month. see how it goes.

same question can be asked about other games as well. why is Starcraft called Starcraft ? do they craft any star in the game ?

the point is, a developer can basically name their game as they wish….

also because dealing with tough customers IRL is already PvP enough for me….
